And I could tell they use good quality matcha! They also put the chewy topping on the top and around the cup, which made the drink unique and so good! But beware it could be a texture thing for some! The space is a bit small, so we did have to wait outside. Also when we were there, there was only 1 party ahead of us and 1 other party waiting but the drinks did take a bit of time. So I'd admit they have a variety of drinks to choose from even coffee. They have light tasting and strong tasting So no individual goes without choice. It is kinda small but they do have a set up to sit down inside or out if your a small group. Service however is Kinda slow if not really slow. Two ice coffee Took like more That half an hour. As I looked around no one had a large order or anything and they looked like they didnt even order anything complicated. We also ordered a salted egg turtle cream puff which was so cute!! The salted egg is very mild and the cream had too much of a whole milk flavor for me. We love nep cam and was so excited to see it here but wow was it disappointing. We usually get it from a place close to us but are always open for finding something potentially better! Their nep cam is almost $4 and the amount you get is HALF of what is sold elsewhere. Fine, if the quality and flavor is up to par, I do not mind paying extra for less, but I'd honestly give it 0/5 stars. Included a video for you to see the texture of the $4 yogurt we received. We specifically even asked if there was difference between their bottled drinks and yogurt cups and they said the yogurt is thicker. The yogurt is the same consistency as MILK. Made a mess opening it because I wasn't expecting it at all. Completely missed the mark on basic vietnamese yogurt. What a waste. Why would I want a miniature jar of tart milk advertised as a comfort classic? Their chewy cheese milk is weird. Like sweet and salty but chunky in texture, 2/5. Came here specifically to try the matcha "Deo," which is supposed to be mochi-like, and I was pretty excited to try it. The customer service was amazing -- the female worker was super friendly and did a great job explaining the menu, which made the experience even better. The interior is really cute and cozy, definitely a nice place to hang out. As for the matcha, it was pretty good overall and had the perfect amount of sweetness. Oh my goodness this shop is so cute too boot, and the vibes and drinks are delicious. I was drawn in by their chewy matcha, which I was told is a new Vietnamese trend with chewy mochi matcha! I loved it as well as the chewy cheesy milk. They also sell cream puffs which need to be hyped up more (I actually liked the more than the drinks shhh). I've tried Chilla Coffee a few times and it's officially my favorite matcha spot in OC. I've had their Chilla Matcha (recommended) with the egg ball, plus the custard and salted egg puff pastries. The egg ball is basically the egg pudding you get at boba shops, just shaped into a ball. The Chilla Matcha is a matcha latte with a mochi-like foam or cream top, and they definitely don't skimp on the matcha. The matcha itself is super smooth and rich. The pastries are all decorated and so cute, almost too cute to eat. The café is small and cozy and honestly feels like walking into a café in Asia, which I love. Found this AMAZING spot on Yelp that just opened two months ago. I ordered the Coconut Coffee for myself and Hai Phong Coffee for my mom. My mom and I enjoyed both drinks. We also had the Durian Cream Puff and Custard Cream Puff. Both were SO DELICIOUS and perfectly sweet! The spot is small, cozy, and warm with nice decor.
