My wife and I were meeting a friend for lunch and he suggested his favorite Chinese buffet in town. We got here right as they opened. The food was fresh, for the most part it was hot, too. Everything tasted good. My only fault comes with the soda... Florida tap water seems strange to me, and the fountain sodas as a result have an odd taste to them, but that's just me. This location is in the back of the Regency Shopping Center - it's with the Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree, Outback Steakhouse and David's Bridal. Overall, it's not a bad place. Lunch is $6.95 and dinner is $8.95. You're looking at a lot of chinese food (obviously!!!), some fried seafood, snow crab legs at dinner, a hibachi grill where they'll prepare meats and veggies to your liking, dessert and sushi! I'm not a sushi snob so I decided to give the sushi a try. I found myself eating more sushi than chinese food. The sushi isn't bad but it's not the greatest stuff I've ever had. They have a variety of your standard rolls and they get a little creative and make a few of the more complex rolls. If you're in the mood for sushi rolls and don't want to spend a fortune, then I'd definitely consider giving this place a shot. The chinese food isn't bad either. Don't be deceived by the bad reviews. This place is good for what it is. Me and my friend went and she likes sushi almost exclusively and She tells me it's just as good sushi only places. Well, we went to have dinner there tonight and AGAIN we got SOUR EGGROLLS...the cabbage inside even stinks enough to turn your stomach not to mention if you took a bite...you get the gest. We told our waitress, she apologized and took 10% off the check. But I believe we may be finished with this place. The Chinese buffet options are dwindling in Jax. We came here regularly probably 20 years ago and it's still here. We had forgotten all about it and stopped by recently. It all looks the same but you would't guess it's been around for as long as it has. It's clean and smells wonderful. The price is still the same as it may have been, either way it's pretty affordable. Now, I try not to go for sushi in a buffet. I did take a few samples and I was quite surprised that it was very fresh and tasty too. My main focus was the Mongolian BBQ. I love the veggies with very little protein and skip the noodles. Extra spicy please! The bars also offer my favorite, green beans and black pepper chicken. The egg drop soup is good as well. I also have to make a little observation that the pepper shakers on the table have white pepper. I love using the white pepper over the black as it is quite fine and has a less bold flavor.(The difference is that the outsides of the peppercorns are removed.) It might not make a difference to anyone else, but when eating Chinese I really enjoy that small touch. There are plenty of dishes to try which is why you come to the buffet! The ladies are constantly refreshing the bar so you always have fresh dishes. You really have to hand it to them. They keep the place clean, the food fresh and all at a reasonable price. I went to this restaurant hungry yesterday and started eating but the food did not taste fresh. Veges were fresh but chicken and fish tasted old. Ok if you just want to go to a buffet. Food is just OK but the price is reasonable especially if you have kids that waste food.

I drive from Georgia to eat here, staff is 50/50 when it comes to attitude. Buffet is usually well maintained and it gets filled pretty quickly once something is empty. There Mongolian grill is good also and there usually very attentive. My only pet peeve is people don't teach their kids manners. If you let your kids loose at a buffet please teach them how to help them selves. read more

We have regularly come here for the last 10 years. The food is pretty good. I liked it better when they had steamed crab legs verse the deep fried. The sushi is really good as well as there steamed shrimp. On the other hand the wait staff has continued to slide down hill. They stand around talking to each other, never come by to check on you and this is the 3rd visit where I have had to wait on getting the check. I'm usually very patient because I do know they have other guest to take care of. We were headed to the cashier fir her to give us one. O.K. chinese food, the selection is not the best, but the food is pretty good. The mongolian BBQ station is ok. I prefer this as it is fresh and you get what you want. I eat here when I go to visit my great aunt, I have to bring her back some, she is 97 and loves chinese food.
