I ordered delivery last night because TBH I didn't feel like cooking and I was craving some Lo Mein noodles. I ordered a small Egg Drop Soup, 8 Crab Rangoons, and Shrimp Lo Mein from their website - which was fairly user friendly. Carrollton does not seem to have a TON of options for "classic" Chinese take-out, so despite some of the reviews I decided to give them a chance. Pros: - Delivery was faster than I anticipated (less than 45 minutes) - Food was very warm - almost hot - Big portions - The prices were reasonable: - Less than $5 for 8 rangoons vs some places charge that much for 4 - A $1.00 delivery fee (!!!) - Shrimp was cooked perfectly - Lots of sauces (Although, maybe they thought I was sharing lol) Cons: - Website / email confirmation does not give a delivery time window, which made me a little nervous since I've never order from here - Noodle flavor itself was good, but not the best that I've had I would definitely order from here again and try some of their other menu items. We ordered it spontaneously! Came super quick, super hot, and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. One of the best I've ever had. The crab rangoons were super stuffed and yummy. The low mein was so perfect. Food was solid Chinese however the inside of the restaurant was filthy. I understand that parents need to bring their kids to work but exercise some control over their behavior. Flavors and quality were spot on but a dirty restaurant is never a good first impression. Being from NYC and Puerto Rico (we have tons of chinese residents), I have very specific taste in Chinese food and this place is as close as it gets in Carrollton and surrounding areas. A good sign for me, was the Chinese writing on the receip (it´s a sign they are Chinese and not some other Asian ethnicity cooking Chinese food), then the roasted pork fried rice had the little bits of red pork pieces in it, and was delicious. Another good sign were the egg rolls which contained pork and cabbage as they should, and not broccoli and carrots like some other places I´ve eaten at. We ordered the empress chicken which was full of meat and lots of yummy vegetables and had a good balance of both meat and veggies, I asked for it mild and they perfectly seasoned it so it wasn't too mild and not to spicy either, but just right. My husband ordered beef and broccoli, which was also perfectly balanced. The wonton egg drop soup was also good with just enough wontons, neither salty nor bland, and perfectly colored, not that over powering fake yellow that some places have. Ordered the Special Combination soup. Opened it and there were small black bugs surrounding the top and floating in the soup. Initially I thought it was the seasoning or the small pieces of broccoli but then the specks started crawling. What makes matters worse is that I have ordered this soup before and there was a bug in it as well! I let the first time slide because it was only one of them but I did call to let them know. What a great experience on trying this restaurant for the first time. We had food delivered, with a ringing of the doorbell 20 minutes later. It was so refreshing to taste Chinese food that I remember back in the day...fresh and with perfect taste along with the big fat egg rolls that I haven't seen in quite some time. The portion size was excellent...could have been more broccoli but I will not hold that against them as the dinner was fabulous. Their fried rice has a nice twist as well with pork pieces (you can get regular fried rice if you so desire). We ordered the General Tsao's Chicken and Garlic Beef along with Hot and Sour Soup.....all had great flavor! Should you want your dish to come with more veggies you can request this for only $1 and they put a very generous portion. I came into your establishment on 10/20/16 at 15:59 (batch id#000008);approval code160632) to purchase a D5 with an egg roll and an order of Beef Fried Rice with an egg roll. I had a coupon for two additional egg rolls. When I looked in the bag,they gave me only one egg roll and I told the young lady behind the counter that I am missing three more egg rolls. She went back to the kitchen and came back with two. I informed the lady that I am missing one more egg roll. She told me "what do you want want me to do?" I asked her politely that if she can get me my additional egg roll that I paid for with the Beef Fried rice. She told me "I don't care" in front of two lady's who had to bring their order back because the lady behind the counter got it wrong. I have never had such horrible service and disrespect for customers as this lady displayed. As a regular customer I will not come back to your establishment. In addition, inwill soread the word to everyone that your restaurant is to be avoided because of rude and disrespectful employee who would not give her name or respond back to my request in asking for her name. This is your typical fast food chinese take-out restaurant with a few surprises. Great value with their prices (especially lunch and dinner specials). Ordered on a Saturday night for pick up. They said it would be ready in ~20min which was accurate. Only a couple minutes wait when I came to pick it up. I was pretty impressed with their chicken wings, very crispy on the outside and not dry with plenty of meat on the inside. Crag Rangoons were also good, nice crispy skin and filling was a great blend of sweet and savory. The pork fried rice that came with the dinner special had quite a lot of bits of pork in it which surprised me, but not too many veggies. Went here for lunch today and walked, nay, waddled, away impressed. Ordering was a breeze and the food was still hot when we came to pick up. My sesame chicken lunch special came with fried rice and an eggroll for $6.22. The box itself must have weighed 2 lbs; it was a ton of food! Sesame chicken itself was pretty standard, nothing out of the ordinary. As a matter of fact, it was a bit too tangy. The eggroll and fried rice were on point though. Everyone in the office liked what they got and everyone commented on how gigantic the meals were. Several of us didn't finish and I know that I'll eat more sesame chicken tomorrow. Now this place surprised us! We were grabbing food from Fuzzy's when we noticed the yogurt place finally reopened as a Chinese restaurant. We have not been able to find really decent Chinese in this area since we moved here 3 years ago. We figured why not try it? Man were we pleased!!!! The Szechuan chicken was exactly right! I haven't had it that good from anywhere other than Chicago! My husband had the General's chicken and for once it wasn't just an orange chicken imposter. And it wasn't more bread than chicken!!! We were impressed, but thought hey - it could've been a fluke, so I upped the ante. Next visit I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce and asked if they had the brown sauce not the white ( if you like lobster sauce you know why that's important) and the chef said she could make it brown, it was an easy step. Finally, a very good Chinese restaurant in Carrollton that is fast and delicious. I've try many different places around here and was never satisfy with the taste. This place blows them all out of the water. The dinner special is cheap but fills you up. It's a lot of food for 8 bucks and some change. I love their fried rice. It has flavor and depth. The orange chicken has a light orange flavor and it has orange peel. You just have to try this place. There so much good food for me to put on yelp. Wow! This was my first time here, and I am more than impressed! I got the lunch special with sesame chicken and fried rice. It comes with either egg rolls or crab rangoons, and I chose crab rangoons. Those were the freshest, best tasting crab rangoons I have ever had. I've been to dozens of Chinese restaurants in my life, and none of them have tasted better than the ones from here. You could tell that they freshly made them because it was so hot and crisp that it burned my mouth. The sesame chicken was delicious, and the fried rice complemented it well. They're very affordable, you get LOTS in a serving, even the lunch specials come with plenty to eat (and I had leftovers). I ordered the sweet and sour chicken. It was perfect. Here's the meat and potatoes of my review: SOLID CHINESE FOOD I've gotten take out, delivery and dined in - it's always the same, in the best way possible. The flavors don't change and the food is always hot, fresh and tasty. I love veggies - best way to tell if they are fresh is if they still have a little 'crisp' to them when you bite down. It had us questioning if we could even survive here at all.. between that and the Ebola outbreak, we weren't sure that north Dallas was the place to be anymore. That all changed tonight. We checked Yelp and you guys said to try China One, so we did (because everywhere else in this area sucks) But it turned out that this place is- Hands down- theeee best chinese food I've ever eaten. The sauce on the general tso chicken reminded me of something you could get in the frozen section at the supermarket. I also had the pepper beef which was again normal. Nothing really wowed me. Lately I've been trying to visit more independent Chinese takeout places. This place was pretty decent, everything was cooked to order and fresh, and decently fast. Portions are absolutely massive & awesome for the price. I ordered General Tso's chicken with fried rice, a favorite of mine. Chicken was crisp and battered properly, & fried rice was the perfect texture. However...I docked a star for a couple of reasons: First, the General Tso sauce did not taste much like General Tso sauce, it was a bit too sweet. While some places have sauce that is sweeter than others, this was too sweet in my opinion, almost like sweet & sour chicken. Second, the fried rice lacked flavor. There were a few veggies thrown in as is customary, but there was no egg or seasoning to give it a unique flavor. My favorite part of fried rice is how it is mixed and seasoned differently from plain white steamed rice. And finally, when packing up orders I observed one person who would put napikins, sauce packets, & fortune cookies in the bag, so I figured they would include them in my bag. When i got home, there were no fortune cookies, napkins or sauce packets! I may have observed a delivery order being prepared, and wouldn't contribute it to my docked star, but it was still a bummer. Overall, I will likely return if I find myself in the area again, though I will probably order something different. And remember to grab some fortune cookies :). read more

Probably the best Chinese we've had in the area. We've gone twice this week! We've ordered the sweet and sour chicken and pepper steak. Reminds us of Chinese from other big cities like New York and Chicago. They have actual egg rolls (not just spring rolls which is what many places in the area have). The crab rangoon were large and had a lot of filling. My only complaint/disappointment is the sweet and sour chicken does not have the pineapple and green pepper like I'm used to. My wife and I both really like China One, and it has become our go to place for Chinese in North Carrollton. The food is consistent and it's tasty however I really would like some more vegetables in most of the dishes but again the quality of what you are given is very consistent and there is seldom a problem with your order. One problem they do have is that every time you call in your order they tell you Oh it'll be 10-15 minutes, however in reality is usually like 20 to 30 minutes, and that's if you go to pick it up yourself. we've tried several of the dishes there and they've all been quite tasty so I can honestly say that we haven't had a bad dish there yet. The egg rolls are just okay, and the soups are sometimes hit and almost miss, but all in all it's a really nice place to grab some comfort Chinese. read more
