What happened to this place? I ordered take out yesterday and the portions were tiny. Curry was in those small clear containers. It only had 3 strips of pork with mostly all carrots and 2 tiny potatoes. The cashew nut chicken hardly had any cashews, all vegetables. Pad Thai and fried rice were both tasteless. The only critics are too much oil and portions are not big. But the taste of each dish is amazing! It seems that it is a neighborhood Thai restaurant with regular customers. Best Thai food in Tustin!!! We've tried all of the other big Thai foodie spots in Tustin (Thai Chayo, Manaao, Chiang Rai, etc) and NOTHING beats Sutha Thai for the taste, value and authenticity. We've been coming here for years since we've moved into the area and won't eat any other Thai food. Their food is freshly made, consistently good in taste, amazing portions, and truly family owned. It's a smaller mom and pop ambiance to dine in. The staff is always kind, generous, and welcoming to us. Cream cheese wontons, chicken larb, tom yum kai with chicken, pad thai noodles with shrimp, pad woo sen with shrimp, pad see ew with tofu or shrimp, yum nuah, spicy scallops, BBQ beef, yellow curry with shrimp/tofu/chicken, pumpkin curry! I live further away now, but I love stopping by when I'm in the area. I wish it were closer to where I live now. Recent order for 2 people (1/11/26): Pumpkin curry with chicken: 5 stars. The flavor is delicious (deep, complex flavor) and the pumpkin is cooked just right so it's nice and soft. The dish comes with rice (no extra charge). I asked for mild and it was still pretty spicy. As I ate more of the curry, the more I felt the heat from the spice. By the end of the meal, my nose was running a little bit. Yellow curry with chicken: 5 stars. The flavor is amazing (deep and complex flavor) and the carrots and potatoes are cooked just the right amount of time to have some bite but still soft. Also comes with rice, no extra charge. Ordered with mild spice and it was not spicy at all compared to the pumpkin curry. We ordered the food for take out (walked in and made our order) and it only took about 7 minutes for the food to be ready to take home. They give you a couple napkins and plastic utensils without needing to ask for it. Your order must be $10 or more to use credit card. Total paid was about $30. Plenty of food for 2 people. If anything, you can definitely have enough for leftovers the next day if you aren't super hungry. The inside of the restaurant is small, only about 4-5 small tables. There were maybe a few tables outside too. Parking lot was not busy, so it was easy to park in front of the restaurant. The parking lot is a little bit small, so when it's full, it's hard to find a spot. I only noticed the lot to be more full on Friday nights when I used to go more regularly. read more

This place used to be so legit and authentic. I swung by after a long day, lured in by the memory of their once-glorious Pad Thai. Ordered the chicken Pad Thai close to closing time because, hey, it was convenient--and I hadn't been here in years. But, folks, let me tell you, nostalgia isn't always your friend. The food tasted a little off, but I figured my tired taste buds were just being dramatic. Turns out they were waving red flags, but I was too tired to see them. Fast-forward to 4 a.m., and I'm in the bathroom auditioning for a horror movie, liquid effects and all. I'll spare you the details, but let's just say I've spent more time in my bathroom today than I have sleeping in the past 24 hours. It's like my body wanted a full detox...just didn't want it that badly. To the owner, who served this dish with a friendly smile: please, for the love of everyone's digestive system, keep a closer eye on your ingredients. I tried this place for lunch yesterday & I ordered pad see ew with shrimp as my choice of protein. I must say I genuinely enjoyed the taste of their noodles, they were full of good flavor. This place however definitely skimped out on the protein & broccoli. The pic I provided is exactly what I received. A mere 3 pieces of broccoli & 5 or 6 shrimp. I rather enjoy pad see ew with a good amount of broccoli & shrimp (who wouldn't though?) The Thai tea was ok, I've definitely had better, but it wasn't bad. I chose this place for lunch after I saw pictures from other customers that received generous servings, but I guess they take care of their dine in customers better versus the pick up/ delivery customers. Tustin, Ca. I came here for lunch with my brother in law. The place is tiny but we were seated right away because it was almost 2:00. There is some outside seating but it was chilly out on this day. The Thai iced coffees were pretty good but probably too sweet for most coffee drink people. I was ready for it though because I've had Thai iced tea at other restaurants. It gave me a good buzz and the coffee grind was robust. Brother in law ordered the green curry and loved it. It was a nice sized portion. I went for the orange chicken, expecting a dish somewhat like the Mandarin style. What I got was a large plate of the chicken, no veggies or garnishes, just chicken (With Small Bowl of Rice). My fault I guess, when reading the menu again it states "Fried Chicken in Lime Sauce". So there. The portion was large, could probably feed two people. It was good, the chicken was nicely cooked. About halfway through, however, I was a bit overcome by the sweetness of the candied orange coating. It wasn't dessert sweetness, it was like Karo syrup right out out the bottle. This dish would probably be good if accompanied with something else to complement it. The price point is high. Too expensive for lunch, probably more expensive compared to other Thai food located nearby. It is probable the final bill may influence the likelihood of a return. read more

Sutha's Thai Kitchen is a small place, but walking up while the hostess was placing flowers on the tables was a beautiful touch. I went with the Yum Woon Sen salad. It's lemon dressing was flavorful and bright, the perfect lunch meal. I was however surprised that the chicken was ground instead of "chunks", maybe that is the style but caught me off guard. And I was also surprised at how spicy it was given I asked it medium, so spice-sensitives watch out. Overall it's a simple Thai place with great dishes, refreshing Thai Iced Teas (even without the dairy half&half) and friendly, welcoming service. read more
