Lunch special deal Monday - Friday $13 app, entree, drink pretty good deal if you are looking for a lunch special. Service is a bit slower than preferred especially stopping in during a lunch rush. I was diagnosed with a hungry toddler so wish they were a bit quicker. Opt in for the chow mien and my daughter loved it. The noodles were very good. Beef felt like too much corn starch. All jn all pretty okay. This is also a good fix for dimsjm and congee since Chinatown is too far. Located in Lincoln Park so parking can be difficult since Clark is a busy street. read more

China Wok is a great go-to takeout spot. It is a bit pricey, but you will get huge portions that give you a day (or even two!) of leftovers. I've never dined in but the interior is cute and has some tables, and the employees are friendly. My favorite dishes are the spicy crazy noodles with chicken (the chicken is SO good and if you really want some heat, ask for extra spicy in the instructions). My partner also really enjoys their General Tso's. They have huge crabrangoons too but the filling wasn't my favorite sadly. So this restaurant replaced Mr Dumpling. The menu is very extensive covering Thai, Korean and Chinese dishes. They didn't change the decor much apart from moving some furniture around. It's not meant for big parties as the tables are mainly booths. They added dim sum to the menu and the shrimp dumplings are great. Give the soup dumplings a miss. No soup in the dumplings. The portions are extremely generous. The wonton noodle soup could easily feed 2-3 people and that goes for the pork and century egg congee too. Both were very tasty especially the congee. . Went to China Wok today and it was fantastic! We ate in the dining room, which was super clean and comfortable. I had the sesame chicken and General Tso's -- both were hot, crispy, and packed with flavor. The portions were very generous and everything tasted super fresh. Also tried the BBQ pork spare ribs appetizer and it did not disappoint. Lunch special pricing was very reasonable, and the service was fast and friendly. The portions are generous the prices are fair the food is delicious and the service is attentive and friendly.
