Over the last few years, Water Street has turned into the place to be. I have tried many of the establishments, but had not previously tried Chinitas even after positive word of mouth. I finally was able to rectify that. Food Chinitas is a Asian/Mexican fusion restaurant with many different options on the menu ranging from tacos to sushi to soups. I went with the Quesabirria Tacos, which are on sale on Tuesdays. Three tacos came out with a consume dipping sauce. The tacos were delicious on their own, but the sauce added something extra. 5/5 Service We went during our lunch break at work, so we didn't have unlimited time. The restaurant was pretty busy, but they did a relatively good job at getting the items out. One party members sushi came out 20 minutes before everyone else's food, which was a little odd. 4/5 Ambiance The restaurant has a very nice warm feel when you walk in. There is an enticing bar next to the entrance and it was decorated with Christmas spirit. 5/5 Chinitas has a lot of positives and offers and unique food option for Water Street. We got a few things on the menu: Quesabirria, my husband and I LOVE birria and it's kind of our go-to when we are hungover... We had a go to place in LA so our standards were a little high but Chinitas didn't disappoint! It felt very clean and healthy compared to the really greasy one we're used to HAHA but the flavor's there and the presentation was great! Picasso Roll: Not a huge fan of rolls but this was delicious! Yellow tail, ponzu and serranos(or jalapenos) will forever be a match made in heaven; whomever first came up with this idea is a genius. Poke Nachos: As a sushi/sashimi lover this is my guilty pleasure HAHAHA I love friend wontons with a lot of sauce and sashimi chunks. LOVED this and I almost didn't share it with my husband HAHA Seaweed salad: I don't think you can really be "wrong" about this one unless they decide to make it in-house-- refreshing and light I always get a side order of seaweed salad. I have had this tapas/Asian fusion place on my list for a while now and finally got to try it! We lucked into going on a Wednesday when they have Happy Hour all day! That means some of the drinks are cheaper, select rolls are 8$, and 5 of their main dishes are 6-8$. Of course we tried everything. That included the elote ribs, the waygu slider, pork dumplings, beet tostada, and a chicken taquito. Everything was delicious and plated to perfection. The waygu slider might have been my favorite, but it was a close race. They do have a large upstairs available for groups, weddings, and corporate parties. Mood: Date Night First this place is such a cute, casual, date night spot. When we first arrived it looked empty but once you walk in is loads of people and a DJ (Friday Night). We weren't expecting that but really was a treat. Good music. The menu and theme was Asian Mexican cushion. Different but a cool concept. Food: Trios tacos 8/10: tasty and good portion size. For sure a tapas shareable meal. We had the Al pastor and carne asada. Really good seasoning! Lasagna Roll 9/10 probably my favorite roll of the night. It had a sauce that was yummy! Baked just right with all the flavors intact. Golden Knight roll 8/10 another good roll here. Really fresh and not overwhelming with toppings. Colorful with gold and black toppings. I've had Chinitas on my wishlist for awhile and finally made the trek out to water street after finishing a nearby hike. It's been awhile since I've been on that side of town & it's definitely more lively now with lots of new restaurants and bars all within walking distance from each other. The inside here is super cute & has a nice big open window to enjoy the weather. The service was also great. Our sever was super friendly & helpful. He let us know all of his recommendations. The menu has tons of delicious of Mexican and Asian fusion options. I had to start with the margarita flight which was delicious & strong! We opted to share the birria tacos, elote flatbread, Brussels spouts, eggs rolls al pastor & white chocolate bread pudding. My favorite was the tacos, super flavorful and juicy. My least favorite was the flatbread. The idea has so much potential but it was just missing something. We dipped it into the birria drippings which improved it for sure. Went for lunch on a Tuesday and it was not busy. Restaurant is a good size, waitress was very friendly and on it. They played great music. Food was ok, nothing amazing but good. Salt and vinegar wings were cooked perfectly but I didn't get a burst of flavor. The avocado eggrolls were just ok. They needed more flavor and maybe a better dipping sauce My SIL loved her steak and said it was cooked perfectly My Taco Trio was good, the carnitas had great flavor and were tender, the Al pastor was also not greasy and had great flavor. The birria was ok, the meat wasn't as tender and the flavor wasn't there. I've had really good birria so it just didn't wow me. Even with the misses I'd go back to try other items cause we did enjoy stuff and the staff was nice. read more

I have now visited this restaurant twice and had a good experience both times. I would say our first visit we had much better service than the last. It just seemed busy and slightly understaffed at the time. Anyways the food was delicious, on the first visit the poke nachos were the winner. However I didn't see them on the menu this last time, hoping they didn't discontinue them. The bulgogi fries were delicious and flavorful I would get them again. This last visit was for happy hour so we tried some of their sushi rolls the rainbow and tiger rolls. They were both really good and a decent price on happy hour. Then we tried the bbq chicken flatbread which was good but wouldn't get again. Over this is a cute establishment simply decorated, however it did get quite loud in the building. We found Chinitas Tapas and Sushi, another great place for dinner, on IG. It's not what you would consider a typical fusion, with Mexican/American and sushi dining, but I must admit, the food is great, which is really what matters. My flight got into Vegas on Tuesday at 4:30 pm, so the fam had a rez at 7 pm. It's located in the Water Street district, which reminded me of the Gaslamp district in San Diego, with small, upscale, unique casual dining spots all along the street for several blocks. Parking was fairly easy to find, and we walked in to find a nicely appointed bar, with the dining tables just beyond. They also offer outdoor dining tables fronting the main street and entrance. The long tables easily accommodated our group of eleven (8 adults and 3 kids). The two-sided menu offers sushi rolls and other Asian dishes on one side, with Mexican and American pub-style items on the other side. The drink menu was the same way, with beer, wine, and sake on one side and hard liquor and cocktails on the other. It had a lively, energetic atmosphere, and the service was really good. The servers were attentive, and the food and drinks came quickly. Of all the things we ordered, the Pho was just so-so. The flavor was a bit lacking, and it could've had a bit more "spice." The Wagyu sliders were great, but the 50/50 burger was good, but not great; a little too much sauce with an unusual flavor. They offer a Children's Menu that really impressed everyone with the typical items of chicken tenders, burgers, and fries, all prepared with a high level of texture and taste. Since it was Tuesday, we took advantage of the "Taco Tuesday" specials... shots of Conor McGregor's Proper 12 Whiskey for just $3. They also offer AYCE (All You Can Eat) sushi dining at the bar on Tuesdays (which I think we may try at a later date). All in all, it's a great dining spot that seems to be tending in the right direction. read more

Can't say this enough, Chinitas is a great addition to Downtown Henderson! Great service and yummy food! Love that it's open for lunch and wasn't too busy when we went in. We ordered the chino taquitos $10, Crispy pork wontons $7, Salt and Pepper wings $10, Carnitas sliders $13, togarashi fries $4. Everything was super tasty and loved how their wings were super crispy compared to our last visit. What we were disappointed on again was the sushi. We ordered the Serrano Yellowtail $14 and the picasso roll $17, both of them were not super flavorful and not sure of the fish texture. Personal preference but I like my raw fish super cold, and it was a little more room temp than I would have liked. We will definitely be back for the tapas!! read more

Food at chinitas has always been good but the service not sure today been a valentine's Saturday once more disappointed from service the server apparently had way too many tables on his section, we saw him at the beginning to greet and take the order food came out and he didn't make the effort to stop and check on us after 15 minutes of picking on food we had to flag him down to remind him that we order drinks and limes for the birria ramen another 10 minutes pass and still didn't show up at the table we ask another server to remind our server or if he could have us what we were missing he said yes but never saw him approach our server to let him know we had to flag our server again and remind him about our drinks and limes by than food was already cold and just told him that we would take the food to go he apologized but still brought the wrong drinks he made on himself to apologize and gave us a 15% off voucher for the next visit. My question were is management as I don't think that was the proper approach from the server just to end our dinner. We pay our bill and still left $5 as a tip. We came here when they were newly open and have been wanting to go back knowing how great their food was. The second time did not disappoint! Everything we've tried so far has had great presentation and taste. I love the idea of Mexican and Asian fusion restaurant... best of both worlds when you can't decide. For the longest time we had planned to dine at Chinitas but then it's like, could it even be good? I wasn't sure I'd like it but finally one day randomly we decided to check it out for lunch. I realized quickly I had been missing out!! Who would have thought such a unique and awesome place exists in downtown Henderson? There are so many options and everything sounds so good so it's hard to decide what to get. I still haven't tried everything I want. I love how all the food has a Mexican or Asian twist to it. The taquitos for instance, are to die for and they have an Asian salad on top. I love the creative flavors and combinations. The sushi is amazing and surprisingly cheaper compared to a lot of places. The Cadillac margarita was one of my favorite drinks. This place is like no other and I love it! Eating here has become a Sunday tradition. Their brunch specials are to die for... absolutely fantastic flavor in every bite. We ordered biscuits and gravy, avocado toast, chilaquiles, chicken+ waffles and more. Avocado toast comes on small toast bites with egg... amazing. Chilaquiles has the most authentic flavor and is savory. The biscuits and gravy is so good, It makes you wanna " slap your mama". The chicken and waffles are not only good because of the syrup, but the chicken is seasoned so well that every single bite makes you want more, our kid loved it. Our waiter Tyler is always wonderful, and quick to get our order/drinks. (The chef even came to the table to thank us for the compliments we gave.) Restaurant is always clean and tables set. We are seated immediately and greeted by all. Their regular menu is also amazing but is not served till after 2pm (on Sundays). And don't even get me started on how great the Sushi is... we have to wait till 11am for it.... But whatever they do.... just makes it unbelievably. We tried going on a Friday night at about 530 with no reservations, so of course we weren't able to get it, so we decided Saturday for lunch. We would go was still busy, but we could get it. The place is very open and has several TV monitors to watch games. It's a cool vibe. With a very large bar with a legitimate tequila selection they have reposado's, Anejo's, extra Anejo's, and of course silver tequila. Prices ranging from $10 all the way up to about $40 per round. We came here to celebrate a milestone birthday party and were pleasantly surprised by how tasty everything was. We had a pre-planned menu that had a variety of items, I cannot speak about any specific menu items. Everything we had though would indicate that the menu items are just as good, if not better.
