Horrible customer service!!! , front desk girls are very rude and unprofessional . Save your time and aggravation and go somewhere else...

Do not bother coming here. There are better options in chino. The only reason people come is because they advertise weekly on the cover of the pennysaver. The manager here is a joke. She will say anything to make you happy and end up not following through with it. I spoke with the manager "Stella" about ordering my family member some glasses. She told me she would place the order herself and have some one call me when they came in. Three weeks later still no glasses, when I called an employee told me that they were never ordered to begin with. So much for customer service! I am done spending my money at this place. With all the negative reviews it's hard to imagine how they stay in business. Management and ownership seem to be clueless, because if I was the owner I would not have a moron working as the manager. read more

My first review and I'm sad to say it's a bad one. I've been coming here since I was a kid. I recently called to set up an appointment. The women who set my appointment up was completely rude and lacked serious customer service (I want to say her name was Laura but I'm not completely sure) The only reason why I come here is bc I love Dr.Morris. He is the most sweetest little old man. The other doctors are ok also but he is my favorite. The receptionists are very rude and don't even acknowledge you. It's like they hate their job. If I had a choice to rate the doctor only and not the horrible staff I would give him 5 stars but it's sad that he is the only one that can take full credit for customer service. read more

Poor customer service. Phone operators tell you walking in appointmentsup till a certain time before closing. When you get there they have appointments set up till closing and can't see you. This is not explained on the phone and there was no attempt by staff to see if the doctors are willing to see you. My experience they use walk in accepted as a ploy to get you in as customer and come back at time convenient for them. WASTE OF MY GAS! Thanks for nothing. read more

So I went in early Tuesday or Wednesday morning and there was only one girl working I understand that things can get hectic and what not but all I needed was to make a appointment and let me say I have never encounter someone with such poor customer service, she literally talked to me as if I were a toddler or didn't understand English.. I think she said her name was Laura. The management should really consider who they have up front because she belongs in the back where there is no customer interaction.. Other than that rude girl the Asian doctor was really really amazing she explained everything to me and I was able to get my contacts the same day and barely paid anything (with ins). The girls that tested me were also sweet an explain the teaching of contacts really well. read more

I first would like to express that the doc's here are amazing the 2 older lady's here that measure the fitting for ur glasses are awesome, but the front office staff could use alot of training i mean a lot! They are so rude! Especially a girl name Rocio she's awful n her attitude stinks, her thug like personality n her i don't give a f attitude is overwhelming, i love how the docs are w/ my kids n im not sure if ill find lady's so patient enough to measure n fit my kids glasses but, i might have to start looking somewhere else, Cuase i can't handle that girl anymore!!, this is a business, no customers means no hours, im not expecting u to suck up , all i ask is to be treated w/ respect, must b a lot to ask for,? read more

This review is mostly regarding the staff not the doctors. Both the doctors I have seen are astonishing. Yet they need to hire better staff. I had made my appointment in regards to a prescription change because when I first got glasses the person helping me pick out the frames said that i would adjust to the glasses after I said that it looks very blurry. I waited three months but I could not last wearing them for more than an hour. I called to set an appointment and the person talking to me said that I had to pay 35 dollars to see the doctor(which was not true). Then when I got and discussed my prescription with my doctor she said that the prescription on the glasses I was given was completely off from my prescription... which I had already predicted but the staff insisted instead of double checking my prescription. I am very upset with how lightly the staff takes their job :/ you're supposed to be professionals. Overall both the doctors are amazing! read more

My last time going there from this point on! I had gone here for a few years now with satisfactory service because they would "work with me and my TWO insurances". The reason this last trip had turned me off from ever going back is the office manager i talked to. I went to get my eyes checked for contacts on 1/8/16. They let me make an appointment come in and want me to order contacts with them after the exam. But what they don't mention any of the times i talk to them over the phone or in person is that my insurance period doesnt start for another month. STRIKE ONE. So i wait a month for my insurance, thinking why did they let me get my eyes checked so early. I ask if they do price matching here and they say "YES". When i arrive today 2/2/16 now that i am in my insurance's pay period for the year it takes them 20+ min to find my file back behind their counter and start asking me if ive ever been there like im the stupid one missing a patient file. STRIKE TWO. When they find my file and try charging me full price $200+ for a year of contacts. I have to stop her and say uhh can you use my insurance 1st please, ohh OK duh. Then I proceed to give them the best price i could find online for the price match the manager told me they offered. This is where strike three comes in i tell them the price and where i found it on lens.com I and they tell me they cant match it WTH? So i ask to speak to the manager again and she basically yells at me in the front waiting room in front of customers as if she was disgusted about my questions. Bug eyed and in my face she tells me WELL WE ONLY PRICE MATCH IF WE ARE STILL MAKING MONEY OTHERWISE WE DONT DO IT!!!!! STRIKE THREE!!! I swiftly tell her thats not not really price matching its black and white either you do or you dont. She didnt apologize for raising her voice or lying to me the first time, so as you can imagine i took my business elsewhere today and in the future 0 stars! read more

I ripped my last contact lenses and had no backup glasses. I called Chino optometry to try to see if they could help. Spoke with a young lady by the name of Alexandria and received the best customer service from her over the phone she reassured me to come in and she would see what they could do for me. Went in there last minute no appointment and she made sure I was taken care of I received the best customer service by that young lady Alexandria. Prior I was so frustrated and stressed out but after dealing with her and her talking to me it helped me and she provided excellent customer service she went over and beyond and I really truly appreciate that. Also when I checked out I also was help by another young lady name Leslie who was extremely helpful and went over and beyond to help me to get the right contacts ordered that I need it. I would recommend Chino optometry to anyone who needs glasses or contacts just because those two young ladies made my experience so far the best thank you Alexandria and Leslie for going over and beyond for me as a customer. read more

The first time I came here was to get contacts, I filled the sheet out that I wanted contacts. After I was done with the exam they took me over to the frames to choose one. I told them I wanted contacts and they told me I didn't tell them. After explaining to them to read the sheet that I filled out I was still told I needed to inform them. I ended up getting glasses. 3 yrs later I made the mistake of going back but this I told them ahead of time I wanted both glasses and contacts. I did the exam choose frames and got contacts. When I tried on testing pair of contacts that I paid 25 dollars for they just didn't feel right. When I got my glasses I figured out that they messed up my prescription and that's why contacts felt wrong. After getting reexamined I asked about my contacts that were wrong and got the same excuse, you didn't tell us. I had to really make a scene to get my money back for the wrong contacts and will not go back again. read more

I have to agree with most of the reviews here. The girls at the front desk are extremely rude! The customer service that is provided here is the worst. For instance, I called to ask if I can come in to get new contacts and I wasn't even done with my sentence when the girl cuts me off and asks for my name. This was not the only unpleasant experience. Thankfully my insurance gives me the liberty to chose another optometrist. I will never go back there again! read more

This place is great! I don't know why I put off going for so long! They were super quick and easy. All in the same day I got checked and got my glasses. That has never been so fast anywhere else. Melissa helped me up front and answered all my questions and concerns. Dr. Koh did my exam and he was very friendly. It seems like a small place but they have so many frames to choose frame I wanted more than one! They definitely get the job done here! read more

I am having problems with my frames and they told me that they will order new ones and they will call me back a soon as it gets there. I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO PLACE AGAIN!!!!!! I highly recommend that nobody else does either! First off, I called to make an appointment and let them know we have new insurance. They never even bothered to get the new insurance information in that initial phone call. When I went in for my appointment they tried to bill my old insurance. The girls up front were so rude!! After the insurance was situated I paid half for my glasses and said I will pay half later when i pick them up. I called 1 month later trying to find out if my glasses had arrived they could not locate my order. After holding for 10 minutes my order had been found and they had been in for a while I DID NOT EVEN GET A CALL!!! When I went in to pick them up..I was charged the full price of the glasses. I had to provide them a receipt showing I paid my first half the initial visit. Since I was charged double, I then had to wait 5 days for my refund back since it was a Friday and on debit!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE AND I PLAN ON TELLING ANYBODY IN THE CHINO AREA ABOUT MY INCIDENT AND POOR BUSINESS RECEIVED!!! read more

Terrible service at the front desk. My entire family and I have been getting contacts/glasses here for many years. Dr. Morris/Dr. Ju/Dr McCoy are great. I had two appointments this past Saturday. I got a call the day before that my daughter did not need an appt since she just wanted to buy another pair of glasses. I kept only my appt. Its a usually a 15-20 min drive and I did not anticipate so much traffic and construction. I'm told I am 12 minutes late because my appt was at 12 not at 12:15 like I thought. The person who had the 12:15 appt was already being seen even though it's not quite 12:15 yet. The rude front desk clerk tells me I need to reschedule or wait to see if the 1 pm appt person shows up and if they do then I can wait longer or reschedule. This lady does not make eye contact with me as she talks to me, she seems to be upset that she has to be working on a Saturday to begin with, but most importantly gives me the feeling that she just don't give a crap about my business or the hundreds of $$ I spend each year for 5 members of my family at that establishment. I have experienced rudeness from the front desk on several occasions in the past but this time I was done. I decided to take my daughter to JC Penny's and got her 2 pairs of glasses and contacts for under $200 and I got great service all around. I don't know why I stayed with Chino Optometry for so many years. There are other great options out there. Don't get stuck with these folks!! read more
