I have been coming to this place for 12 years, now I only come here it out of convenience. The doctors are always great every year I come for my exams, but the girls they have behind the counter are rude! I walked in today and waited at the counter for at least 7 mins while 4 girls behind the counter didn't even acknowledge that I was there. Then it was like an inconvenience for her to get my husbands contacts, that by the way I'm paying for! Hum... then I went to the back to see about getting my glasses adjusted, the lady back there was alone and had 3 people waiting. But she was still respectful enough to ask me if I needed help and that she would get to me as soon as she could! This is one of the worst experiences I've had with an optometry location. The initial appointment was great the staff was helpful in trying to find glasses and placing an order for them. Though when it came to picking up the glasses not only were they the incorrect frames but the lenses were also not what I asked for. When it came to discuss what I placed in my order, I was told multiple times that it was my fault and that there was no possibility that there was a mistake on their end. Though they finally admitted they did not write down the exact order for the lenses, they took no responsibility that there's a possibility one of their workers ordered the incorrect frames. The part that still makes no sense to me is that when they give you a receipt, the receipt does not clarify exactly what you ordered, only on their side. So not only was I unable to verify what I ordered, I had to go off of their word that they ordered the right ones and that I messed up or that I did not remember what I ordered. Working retail for nearly 10 years, and this is one of the worst experiences and the last time I will ever go to this location. There was absolutely no possibility that they were at fault, and this is the only time I've ever heard of a receipt not showing the customer themselves what they ordered. If I could give zero stars I would. Save your time and money and choose a different optometrist. read more

I have been coming here for over 19 years. In the past two months they have lied and moved or cancelled my appointments. Today I had an appointment at 9:30 that I made a month ago, I showed up and they told me they tried calling and left me a message regarding my appointment. I told them they did not call and I had no voice mail. They told me they would squeeze me in I told them never mind and walked out; if I had an appointment how are they going to squeeze me in. do not go to this provider. they are not upfront with the cost of a prescription to contact lenses. not only do they bill your insurance, charge you a prescription fee plus, fitting fee or they will not release your prescription. then is takes 6-8 wks to get try on contacts!!! this is nuts. all they want is your money!!! never again. learn from my mistake read more

I grew up in Ontario & I have been coming here since I was in high school. I moved 40 minutes away 10 yrs ago. My husband tried other Optometry but he was not happy with the customer service and the select of their glass. I, myself, refused to go to a different Optometry. Chino Optometry has a wide selection of glasses and they had always given me a great customer service. The everyone is friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to insurance and they even price match which is a bonus! I will always be a loyal customer! read more

If I could put ZERO stars then I would. With so many optometrists in the Chino, Chino Hills, and surrounding areas ***AVOID*** this place. The staff is rude, condescending, unfriendly, unhelpful, and the manager co-signs with the front office girls terrible attitudes. Today was the final straw when they charged my child FULL PRICE for contact lenses knowing full well that we have insurance. The only thing that they could say is, "We didn't know that you wanted to use your insurance to cover this." Why in the world would we pay for insurance only to pay out of pocket for insured items? Like I said, there are so many other optometrists in the area and my family and I will never return. The front office needs an entire overhaul and training on how to 1) treat people with dignity and respect 2) they need to learn how to smile 3) they need to learn how to be friendly and most importantly 4) they need to know where their paychecks come from...US the paying customers. read more

And they have a big selection of glasses and sunglasses, got me a cool pair of shades , I don't really like the bling on the side but that's my fault I picked them out ( guess I was tired) And now I just need to pick out some glasses. Very disappointed in how they run their office these days. I have been a patient for years but it is now time to find a new optometrist. I went in for my yearly exam and they charge extra fee if you want to get contacts instead or in addition to glasses . They call it a contact lens exam. Although nothing different from regular exam. But I paid it. Somehow the prescription on new glasses was wrong so I called. They gave me a new appointment date/time. When done I tried to place order for contacts and they tried giving me last years prescription because I didn't pay for the contact exam the second time although I paid for it about 2 weeks before hand read more

Chino Optometry Center is the best place to get your frames and lenses. They have SO MUCH to choose from. They have the biggest frame selection I have seen. I've been coming here for 15+ years and they do not let me & my family down. All the girls are super friendly & helpful. I would highly recommend getting Dr. Morris, he is the best doctor there but definitely love Dr. Hen as well. I got my lenses within 2 weeks like they said they would have them. It took a few days to adjust to the new prescription but after that my eye sight has been better than ever. I can not recommend them enough! read more

First of all.... The front desk staff are ALWAYS playing on their cell phones! They speak to each other before greeting customers at front . Than when they decide to look at you they have a rude tone of voice and act as if you are bothering them! Can't tell who is in charge but the entire office needs a make over! This was one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever had while getting my eyes probed! =] Dr. Ju, Dr. Morris, and their staff are very helpful, patient, and kind. Dr. Ju himself is a charming, friendly man, who makes his clients feel calm and comfortable while also improving their quality of vision. He will patiently sit with you and adjust every lens until you feel you've reached the best level of vision for your eyes. He is a jokester, which is a breath of fresh air after having experiences with other very stuffy, stiff, serious doctors. I have only had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Morris once, but he struck me as a very capable, kind man. Overall, the optometrists at Chino Optometry Center are the friendliest, most accommodating staff of skilled eye doctors I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I walked in half blind and miserable, and walked out with a clear view and a happy heart. My eyeballs really recommend this place for your next eye-care needs! read more

When I arrived here one morning, I was certain the door mentioned that it opens at 8:30. However, the receptionist said that no one is ever inside to help the customers with eyeglasses until 9:00. She was only there to take messages. How confusing! Selection wise, they carry eyewear mostly manufactured by Luxottica brands. You can Google what the scope of those brands are. It is about 80 percent of the world's major eyewear brands but there still a few notable collections that I was told they do not carry nor could they order it. Someone mentioned the store looks a bit messy. They are correct. On price, they are not very competitive. The prices are closer to MSRP than going a different route. For people who don't need complex eyeglasses, it is much cheaper to use the store as a place to try out different eyeglasses. Once you have found the right frame, look for it at other places from online, to other optometry centers using the model number of the frame. Then calculate what's the price for the lens. Costco can make lenses for eyeglasses. Chino optometry can make just lenses. Bottom line, it's cheaper to bring in your own frame. The exception would be for cheap low-end frames. In those circumstances, don't even go here. There's no point. The lowest possible frames are cheaper elsewhere. I go here to obviously find the right frame then seek the lowest cost option to buy the eyeglasses. I have 20/20 vision with slight astigmatism but my bill from this place is always just under $700. Whenever I shop around, I can cut that bill by at least a third or sometimes half. read more

After looking over many of the reviews, I've blatantly noticed a lot of people mentioning their bad customer service. However, when I was there, the ladies at the front desk were very helpful and very kind. I was there to buy some contacts and they have a "match a competitor's price" so you can find your contacts online and they'll match the price for you. In my case, one of the ladies even searched up a cheaper price than I had showed them. On top of that, they gave me some free trial contacts to try and answered many of my questions respectfully. Love this place. The ladies behind the counter and over the phone have always been informative and helpful. The doctors listened to my concerns and together we were able to address them. Ive used Chino Optometry for glasses and contacts. Both experiences have been quick and easy. We couldn't find a contact in store that would fit my astigmatism so they ordered two more trial pairs without hesitation and we were able to find a fit. When selecting glasses the ladies were very personable and helpful. Fortunately I couldn't have had a more different experience than these past yelpers. read more

I came here 2 years ago because I was recommended by a friend because of their large selection. Went again today and it was great. The girl who helped me up front was diligent in solving my insurance issue. The doctors was kind. He detected an issue with my nerves in my eye. And gave me a referral. I was seen on time as well. The girl who helped me pick out my frames was extremely helpful! My only gripe about this is the facility itself seems a little old and cluttered. But it also makes it kinda homey. ***** Adding to my review because I really like this place**** I had a follow up visit because of my previous situation. This time I was scheduled with Dr. Morris! He is AWESOME. 1) He was making jokes and small talk, he was extremely personable 2) He seemed genuinely concerned about my eye issue 3) He gave me notes and information for my personal research and to give to my other doctor. 4) He took out a book to show me pictures on my possible conditions and what causes it! 5) His action exam room reminds me of a Library. I got my eye exam about a month ago. Their service was great. I was switching from glasses to contacts and the lady that helped my family was grat. I had still wanted to get glasses so the lady said the I could get new glasses and buy the contacts separately and it would probably be a better deal because they price match. So I went to my contacts session later in the week and the lady teaching me how to put my contacts in was really patient and helpful. They gave me a free small bottle of solution and first trial pair free. Also get 3 months of free service if i have any problems with my contacts (but the service is only for contacts problems) I picked up my new glasses today and the lady was quick to bring my and my brother's glasses even though there were quite a few people. read more

This was my first adult experience outside of Lens Crafters. I was relieved that they were able to diagnose the discomfort I had for about a year in my right eye. I developed Giant Papillary Conjunctivitis when they switched my contact brand at LC. They didn't diagnose it there though. I'm thankful the doctor here was able to diagnose and treat.
