I had been wanting to try this cookie store and there was a huge line the first time I went there (like 12 people!) So I went back a different time and there was only one person ahead of me. It's located on the west side of the Culver/Barranca shopping center between 24hr fitness and Target. There isn't really anywhere to eat your cookies inside but there is outdoor seating. They sell fresh baked cookies as well as dough - but you can only buy dough in a 4 pack and they intend it to take home and bake = not for eating the dough (bummer I was hoping they sold dough to eat like Dough & Arrow did before they went out of business). The thing that sets Chip apart is that you can add toppings to your cookies (think Yogurtland but for cookies as the base instead of soft serve or frozen yogurt) I give their cookies a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I rounded up to 4 stars because the service was super friendly & helpful. The cookies here taste fine and are fresh baked BUT I like the flavor and variety of flavors of the Milk & Cookies store in Mission Viejo MUCH better! Here at Chip they have 6 different flavors of cookies (as opposed to 16 different flavors at Milk & Cookies in Mission Viejo). Also the cookies here don't taste quite as flavorful as Milk & Cookies cookies and as someone who loves cookies but also needs to watch my weight: the calorie to taste ratio isn't as high here at Chip Cookies as it is at Milk & Cookies - So for that reason I won't return here. If you do come here I would opt for getting the SW chip cookie (really good large semi sweet chunks of chocolate with sea salt on top). If you eat this cookie warm then it's more chocolatey than the OG regular chocolate chip cookie. The Sugar Chip cookie is served cold and tasted not as fresh (served cold since they pipe the frosting on to order (neat!!)but since the frosting was supposed to be cream cheese frosting it wasn't as good as other cream cheese frostings - for example the cream cheese frosting at Nothing Bundt Cakes). Even my kids didn't think it was that flavorful.

Came across this cute little cookie shop the other day because my group was seriously craving something sweet and I'm so glad we did The moment you walk in, you're greeted by super friendly staff and hit with the amazing smell of fresh-baked cookies Instant happiness. Everyone working there was really welcoming and accommodating. We were hoping to get the mini chocolate chip cookies, but they were sold out. The staff was kind enough to even offer to make some for us, which was so nice, but we ended up just grabbing four of the regular-sized chocolate chip cookies instead and honestly, no regrets. The cookies were delicious. They actually tasted like real cookies, not those cake-like ones. Perfect level of sweetness, soft, easy to eat, and super satisfying. I already know I'll be back to try more flavors. Thank you Chip Cookies for the yummy cookies and great service!

Decided to check this place out since I needed to bring sweets to a potluck. The place is cozy and clean. Staff is helpful. I got chocolate chip, smores and biscoff. Chocolate Chip- Can't go wrong with a classic! Base dough is soft and rich, loaded with chocolate chips. Smores- It's an elevated version of their chocolate chip! You get graham cracker pieces and gooey marshmallows. Biscoff- This has a buttery cookie base with a generous amount of biscoff filling in the middle. That center bite is so satisfying! I was in the mood for a sweet pick me up and noticed Chip was just a couple doors down from my original destination so I decided to check them out. This is an order and take out establishment: no seating is available. Even so, the shop is tidy and organized. I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner while I was waiting for my cookies to come fresh out of the oven. She was super friendly and she's very proud of her cute little shop I got a couple of their OG cookies fresh out of the oven (classic milk chocolate chip, no nuts), a biscoff, a sugar, and a cocochocolate. I've only cut into the cocochocolate so far, but getting it fresh out of the oven was worth the short wait! The coconut gives it a nice texture and even tho its OG base is also topped with chocolate frosting, it's not overly sweet. Very nice! I'm saving the rest of the cookies for my family tonight :)

I tried their chip of the week (last week): Red Velvet Snowball and it was very good! I hope they put it on the menu again. It's not overly sweet even though there are white chocolate chips in it. I also like their BTS, Oreo Dunk, Biscoff, and Tres Leches cookies. I didn't like their OG one as much. Their fancier cookies are definitely worth a try. I'm so glad there's a good cookie place in our neighborhood! I'll be back.

Chip Cookies showed up on my Yelp feed, so I decided to check them out. I decided to kill two birds with one stone and have lunch next door before a cookie dessert. I ordered a Oreo cookie and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookies are fresh and so yummy. They were super chocolatey. Be sure to grab a napkin. I enjoyed my yummy cookies outside. There's lots of tables. Stop by for lunch at one of the many eateries then come here for yummy cookies.

Pretty disappointing if I'm going to be honest. Cookies are my favorite dessert so I was so excited but they were quite underwhelming. The boneless chip was very dry and bread-y. I probably enjoyed the biscoff the most but even that one was pretty average in taste. In terms of value, I thought they were extremely overpriced. With the additional customization, each cookie came out to around $6.50. Additionally, they were not very visually appealing- shockingly small for the price and misshapen (see pictures). Additionally, they had a promotion that I saw from their instagram which was a buy 4 get a 5th cookie free on Wednesdays. However, when I asked about the promotion, I was told that the free cookie only applied to their limited selection of day old plain cookies. So basically the ones they would have thrown out anyways..

I'm so sorry to have to say this was the worst cookie experience I've ever had. The set up is similar to other gourmet cookie shops where there are several cookies to choose from which change weekly. The difference here is that you can add different toppings of your choice on their basic cookies or choose one of their specialties. I decided on the latter and chose the "better than sex" cookie. Their website describes it as "a gourmet chip cookie with cocoa, infused with caramel and sweetened condensed milk and topped with whipped topping and even more caramel + toffee." The nice young ladies working here seemed a bit disorganized and confused as they helped the few customers in the shop. I gave my order and it was ready in a few minutes. They put it in a box for me to carry out (no indoor seating but quite a few tables outside to serve various eateries) so I took mine home. Well, that was the intent but I ended up trying to take a bite in the car. Big mistake. As I picked it up, the excessive softness of the cookie and, perhaps the weight of the toppings, caused it to fall apart. Staring at the multiple pieces in the box, I tried to pick up a fallen piece only to cause it to crumble even more. Of course all of the topping fell face down into the box. I ended up eating plain cookie pieces and scooping some of the topping from the bottom of the box with my fingers, mostly just smearing it all over the place. The chocolate cookie had very weak chocolate flavor. There was no caramel flavor to it and only small strands of caramel within the tasteless whipped cream that I fingered from the bottom of the box. From the photo I took prior to this disaster I can see what looks like a few pieces of toffee on top but I don't know where they went, I just know they didn't end up in my mouth. What a mess. You need to eat these with a fork or spoon. Don't even try to pick them up with your fingers. Believe me, this cookie was most definitely not "better than sex". Nor a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

The interior of the store is so cute and clean! Workers were nice and friendly and explained their menu to us. SW Chip w/ Ice Cream (5/5): We got the dark chocolate chip cookie with sea salt. Their cookies are very thick and gooey, similar to a cakey texture. Cookie was cooked through well and the flavors all melted together were so delicious! Vanilla ice cream and condensed milk were a great combination with the decadence of the dark chocolate, and the sweetness and saltiness of the cookie. Definitely recommend sharing because their cookies are huge. read more

I've been here twice. The first time was really really good, the second time was not good at all. I will say, the OG cookie and the SW one, when made properly, are absolutely delicious. I'm very very picky when it comes to my chocolate chip cookies (it's an art, and most places don't get that!), and Chip really really gets it. The cookies are gooey, melt in your mouth, the perfect proportion of chocolate chip to cookie, and I know it's basic, but they're my favorite cookies they carry here. When done right. Which they had done my first time here but my second time, I received an undercooked OG. The middle was basically raw and straight up dough and even if it wasn't undercooked (or perhaps because it was undercooked?) it didn't taste nearly as good as my last time even though it was warm and smelled amazing when I grabbed it on my way out of the store. Of the fan favorites I tried my first time (the Better Than Sex/BTS, Tres Leches, and Oreo Dunk), I REALLY loved the BTS and Tres Leches. The Oreo was fine but I'd rather get either one of the other two or another OG/SW personally. Prices are a bit high (quite a bit) but for the occasional treat, I'm willing to pay it. However, I'm not willing to gamble the high price if there isn't consistency. As such, I don't know how I feel about coming back. When they're good, they're AMAZING but as of right now, it's 50/50 for me. Service however has always been great. The workers have always been very welcoming, they answer any questions you have, and they really do decorate the cookies well. read more

The cookies here are really good but a little pricey. The service was excellent and they have a ton of options and you can customize to your liking. I like the traditional OG chocolate chip cookie but have tried many. Highly recommend if you're craving a cookie. Just a heads up they aren't crispy or well done cookies, so if that's what you like, you'll be disappointed. read more

My family loves coming here. The employees are so sweet. They let my toddler choose a little toy or sticker from their drawer every time we come in. The cookies are so delicious. If you walk away from this review with anything, it is to try their ginger cookie. It is a seasonal item so I highly recommend trying the cookie before the year ends. The flavor and texture was so good, but I would say it's on the oilier side which I didn't love. It is definitely a treat yourself type of cookie considering it's around ~$5-6 a cookie. Either way, I will definitely be coming back to try more seasonal items. read more

First time I visited while leaving a worksite last week, got a OG cookie and to my surprise a free 2nd cookie (gingerbread). The OG cookie was not great, stale in some places and moist in other places an odd mix. The real star of the show was the gingerbread cookie which was the best cookie I've had in close to a decade. So yesterday I decide to go back and order a dozen of the ginger bread cookies. I'm told by the worker that they don't make them regularly and last week they were only made for 1 week as a special. Disappointing to say the least, gingerbread cookies at a cookie place should be made for the duration of the winter not 1 week only. Unfortunately I now have no reason to go back. read more

I'm happy with just the base cookies but you can customize your cookies or get their customized cookies The semisweet I thought would have been my favorite but I liked the og chocolate chip more. Like there was but too much chocolate and salt in the semi sweet. The biscoff was delicious. Butter was good but too basic which is good for a base to add toppings to. Their own creations: Better than sex- cocoa cookie, caramel, sweetened condensed milk and topped with whipped cream, toffee + caramel Fluffernutter- peanut butter cookie topped with marshmallow + a peanut butter drizzle and I added Nutella drizzle . The cookie itself was a bit crisp but the marshmallow was good and balanced the creamy peanut butter. The people here were so patient especially since it is was my first time. read more

I really wanted to like the cookies, but honestly speaking it was the worst cookies I've ever had. Maybe you'll like them, but it wasn't for me. Even McDonalds had better chocolate chip cookies! - the cookie dough was really undercooked. This is a really aesthetically pleasing to the eye cookie shop. They just opened last night. The service was extremely pleasant and they walked me through the cookies offered as this is the first time I've been to a Chip location. IMO, $5.25 for 1 cookie is a little high so I'd recommend getting the box of 4 instead as that brings down the cookie to $4-ish. I appreciate that their cookies come out warm and fresh. The outside has a soft crunch texture and the inside is soft/chewy/gooey. The plus side of this place is that their cookies are customizable with toppings! I prefer the cookies as it is, but it gives people options to create to their own liking. They offer two plain cookies that would be perfect for the customization option they provide. read more

This place is dangerous!! Dangerously delicious!! If Chip was closer to me I would be there on a daily basis because it's just that good!! The cookies are so soft and fresh! Not to mention the staff is so kind and welcoming! My favorite is the confetti and the tres leches cookies. Their icing is so soft and fluffy! I can't describe the consistency of it! Each week they have a cookie of the week, rotating with different flavors. I like their presentation, and you get to watch them decorate your cookies from the display. I have no complaints about Chip except they aren't close enough to me LOL! Chip FTW! ^___^ read more

Today was my first time there and today was my last time there. I was not really explained how this works so I just ordered one cookie. When they gave it to me in the box looking nice. I asked for a bag because I was walking and I am disabled and I use a cane to walk so I only have one hand to use which I was walking my dog. They had no small bags to put the cookie in. Mind you, by the time I got to my car the cookie was a mess and not even edible. I threw it away without tasting it. This is a waste of my money and time. read more

Greeted by polite and welcoming employee. She offered my son some stickers from their kid bin. I got 2 OGs, 1 seasonal pumpkin and 1 biscoff. We started with the OG which was so good until we got to the middle, it wasn't soft or chewy, it was undercooked. We decided to then try the pumpkin and same thing, so yummy until we got to the middle. Later in the day, we tried the biscoff and this one was perfect- it was actually cooked throughout the cookie. This place definitely has potential but cookies are not consistent. Great on taste but not consistent, only 1 out of 4 of my cookies were thoroughly cooked. read more

I came here since Dough and Arrow closed and have since been searching for a replacement for my cookie fix. I got one simple sugar cookie (my standard measure of a cookie). It was good, but nothing exceptional or elevated. Which would be fine if it weren't so expensive! I'm a firm believer that there are different standards for different price points. And this did not hit. This was a $3 cookie standard at best. Imagine a fantastic grocery store cookie. Which isn't to say it was bad! That being said, the decor and packaging was really nice.. came in a well constructed box which was very cute (but also not what I'm looking for). Disclaimer: there were lots of sides and additions/customizations you could make which I opted out of. Perhaps this was their strong point and I didn't order correctly. I tried Chip Cookies yesterday, and they had the best cookies I've ever had in my life. The decor inside is simple and modern, which is nice. I ordered the white chocolate macadamia cookie. The cookie was fluffy and extremely flavorful. It tasted good but not too sweet. The menu is simple. They also have the option to add toppings to the cookie if you want. Chocolate chip-less lovers rejoice!! Finally, a cookie place that serves chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips. On top of that, the cookies are crisp on the edges and soft & moist in the middle. We tried to tres leches cookie per the recommendation of the owner, and we loved it! We were worried it would be too sweet, but it was not too sweet (iykyk). The whipped cream and condensed milk added the perfect flavor to the cookie. Definitely a fun and yummy dessert. Great addition to Irvine! Only con is the price, but you're paying for a great product from a small business owner. I stumbled upon this place after grabbing lunch in the same plaza. I'm so happy I did! I was craving a chocolate chip cookie and this place definitely satisfied it. I ended up getting one OG cookie and it was so good! It had a slight crisp on the outside and gooey on the inside. Perfectly sweet too. The cashier that helped me was super sweet and welcoming- honestly her service alone made me wanna come back! The price was $5.25 and yes, it's a lot of a cookie but the way I see it is that its the same price as a latte and each are a sweet treat to myself that I only get from time to time. I was in the area and happened to see this place. I decided to give CHIP a chance because it looked pretty good and I'm so glad I did ! I walked in to the delicious smell of freshly baked cookies. They have a variety of options and the person working there explained the most popular cookies. I decided to try the boneless cookie. Which is a chocolate chip cookie without the chocolate chips. My goodness , the cookie was amazing. It was thick hand a nice crunch but soft inside. It was incredible! So much so after I went , I went the next day . I also got to sample their OG cookie which was also delicious . Anyways I can't wait to try all their different flavors. I recommend this place to anyone who wants something sweet. read more

This Cream Pan is nothing like their FV location, which is sad because Tustin is actually the original. Inside is dingy and messy, which should have been a sign for me to walk out, but I really wanted a strawberry croissant. Big mistake! It was soggy--as if it was made yesterday. The strawberry was already going bad. Will never set foot in this location ever again and learned my lesson to stick to the Fountain Valley one. Thanks for reading!

I hope to come back and try their Paninis and Danishes. If they're anything like the Oyaki, they'll be distinct, delicious, and downright delightful.

There's no indicator for the parking garage so on a particularly busy day, you can head all the way to the top, find nothing and navigate through the hell crowds trying to leave. Ambiance is a very casual, counter order business in the food court. There's seating there, but we ate really close by. Definitely something you have to eat immediately or the texture will not be optimal or it might get soggy. We got the tiramisu croffle and they toasted it and put it together for us there. The lady working there packed it up nicely in a to go box and we got some cookies (regular ones and almond crisp ones). It's a bit sweet, but they're dessert pastries so that makes sense. Goes great with a brewed cup of tea. Croffle had a nice semi-chewy texture and the tiramisu flavor added a bit of a coffee taste to it. Good balance of the cream and croffle. The cookie wasn't too bad either. Overall not a bad to go dessert spot.

Some people might question the price, but take a minute to smell the different beans at the counter. You'll quickly realize that not every bean smells like coffee. The tasting notes actually come through and you can tell a lot of care goes into every pour over they make. Most drinks, aside from the pour-overs, are around $4.50 to $7, which is a far greater value for what you're getting in sheer quality. There are way too many cafes these days that focus on aesthetics and end up sacrificing quality. This place feels like it's run by people who genuinely love coffee and it shows in every order. However, this was my first visit I've made to their Irvine location. They're situated in a large strip mall full of restaurants and food shops. Parking on a Friday evening was a nightmare and it took over 30 mins to find a spot, and even then we considered ourselves lucky judging my the large number of cars still circling. I was in town recently, and after dinner(elsewhere in Irvine) we decided on Suul and Beans for some Bingoo dessert. We shared 2 Strawberry Bingsoo among the 4 of us. This visit reminded me why I normally don't choose to come here, except for convenience reasons, like on this evening. Their Bingsoo is too icy and is not creamy and pillowy soft like other BIngsoo shops. Their Bingsoo almost tastes like shaved ice with fruit on top. Also, the condensed milk was given to us in a small cup and wasn't mixed in the bottom layers of each bowl. So, it was icy at the bottom, all the way to the top and then some strawberries with a condensed milk drizzle, a few mochi pieces, and then we were given a small cup of the condensed milk to sweeten it up ourselves. I don't think I will be back, except if I really don't have a choice for a dessert nearby.

I'm usually a huge fan of Chip Cookies, but my recent experience on Mother's Day weekend left a sour taste - literally. I arrived at 5 PM, expecting to indulge in my favorite treats, only to find the store closed. Given their usual hours of 8 PM, I was caught off guard. I understand the desire for a break, but irregular hours can be frustrating for loyal customers like myself. This isn't the first time I've had a disappointing experience. On my last visit, I struggled to get assistance with my rewards program. The associate seemed distracted, unprofessional, and more interested in her boyfriend, who was lingering around the store. Her hair was down, touching the food, which raised hygiene concerns. I left feeling frustrated and unvalued. I'm hoping Chip Cookies will take customer feedback seriously and make some changes. Until then, I'll have to reconsider my loyalty. read more
