I ordered the Chip Fan Favorites. My favorite to least: Choconut Chip, Oreo Dunk Chip, Better than Sex Chip and Tres Leches Chip. The cookies are freshly baked, and toppings are added upon ordering, not pre-made. I appreciate that these cookies aren't overly too sweet! Great customer service. I will be back whenever I am in the area again - it's a nice treat!

Counter has a perfect spot for the cookie menu on display

Wow. We had just finished lunch nearby and walked by this little shop to get to our car (the electric cookie signage is what lured me in). Soo glad we stopped in!! The ambiance was very clean and chic. Love the small details everywhere. They definitely emphasize on the dough here. Not overly sweet like Crumble (don't get me wrong, I love Crumble - but this little cookie shop is waaaay better than Crumble!!). Our cookies were cooked perfectly (ranked by best cookie: 1. Sugar cookie (melts in your mouth center/amazing flavor/just enough sweetness) 2. Biscoff Chip (I'll edit this once I figure out the exact name) was cooked perfectly with crispy edges and gooey center/again the sweetness was not overwhelming 3. Tres Leches (worth having the butter cookie topped with the whip and spice condiments - another melt in your mouth goodness 4. Oreo chocolate cookie was not my favorite because I think it cooked a minute or two longer than it should have input of used more white chocolate topping (staff found it difficult to get out of the bottle). I'm super bummed that I wasn't told they have a reward system because I would've signed up ASAP. Also, I hope they sell the sugar cookie dough to-go (I love that they sell cookie dough balls for a take 'n bake option but I only saw chocolate chip)...still, the staff was very friendly and personable.

Sigh. When you have a craving for cookies and esp want an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie and the box arrives from DoorDash and they didn't include the cookie you ordered... The chocolate chip classic is good but average. The sugar cookie had a dollop of icing but not even a circle. The photo on the website shows the icing should be a circle and spread out evenly over the cookie. This was definitely not the right amount of icing, it was not even 1/3 icing and pretty sure it should have been way more. It looked like my toddler put on the icing but in a stingy way. I wanted the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie but I didn't get it. How a cookie store can screw up an order that is electronic and literally has a ticket that reads oatmeal is a shame. Very very disappointing. The other two cookies I did receive were not worth mentioning they were not good. read more

Came after they opened and tried a few. Came back several nights thereafter. It's been a while so stopped in to get dessert w my pizza. Opted for the SW which has sea salt and semi sweet chocolate. I opted for no salt and the cashier was helpful. Served warm in a cute box. Decent portion. Tastes like homemade. LOL about the reviews w offensive cookie names. Cmon people. Get over yourself. Cookies were good but the service and the facility left a bit to be desired. The floor was covered in leaves and the tables had cookie crumbs. The high school aged workers looked more interested in socializing and hiding in the back. When we walked in said we had never been here how does this work... Didn't proceed to explain the menu nor how to order, just what cookies they had. Ended up only adding ice cream bc we had to ask, are they toppings Overpriced decent tasting cookie read more

Stopped by tonight for a little dessert after dinner. The guy that helped us gave us a quick run down of the different cookie options and options you could do to add on to the cookies. My wife and I kept it simple and just bought two cookies, chocolate chip and the Biscoff cookie. Must say probably the best cookies I have ever eaten. Must try spot if in the area. read more

So glad San Clemente got a CHIP cookie, and its so close to my house! Went to the opening and it was great. Families everywhere enjoying their awesome cookies! The sugar cookie and biscoff are my favorite. I was able to meet the owners are they were super nice and made sure my family had a great experience. We can't stop going back. Each time we are greeted by a nice staff (usually a local teenager) and they're excited to run down the cookies of the day, etc. If you're thinking of stopping in, DO IT! Grab a cookie and a little carbonated bevy (I know everyone says McDonalds has the best coke, but I think there is a new winner in town!) and let your taste buds dance your worries away. read more

So many sweet delights. I stopped here Friday to grab some sweets and cookies. I had never been here, but we were hanging at the beach, and I ran across this place. They have lots of selections of cookies besides Chip cookies. They are sweet, Really really rich and good. I love the Oreo Chocolate Dump Cookies. The taste is incredible. Nice people working here. This place is wonderful. The other cookie place in town is awful, so sicky sweet, tastes like chemicals or something, and every time I have had some of a cookie there...three occasions, I feel sick. I later found out they use a fake butter, gross. chip uses real butter. A win. They taste like what you make in your own kitchen with true care. A fabulous place owned by a local family. Love supporting that ! We will always order for gatherings and parties from here. read more

We love Chip. Always great cookies and have gone several times. However, I find it very odd that a family friendly owned establishment has a cookie that is called "Better than sex." I took my 7 year old in today, who can read and he promptly asked me what the name of the cookie meant. Maybe it's ok with the owners to have a cookie named that, but I'm not ready to explain to my 7 year old what sex is while at a cute cookie shop- let alone what "Better than sex," means. If we go again, it will be via door dash and not in person. The other cookie establishments like crumble thankfully don't have any elicit cookie names. (Also I don't care if that's what the recipe is called- I'm sure they could put a twist on it- it's a family run cookie shop after all). read more

It was my 1st time being here. Chip cookie shop was clean, cute, & open. The cookies were decorated per order. First bite, I was NOT disappointed. The cookies also travelled well on a trip to Maui, Hawaii & kept in the refrigerator for days. When we were ready to eat the cookies, they did not disappoint once again! Thanks Chip!! read more

Not appropriate for children. Disappointing. They have a huge lighted sign on the wall that says "Chip Happens", which is borderline inappropriate but that's the world we live in. But then one of the main cookies they advertised was called "Better than Sex." This just isn't cool, especially for a product likely to be popular with children and teens. I was looking forward to one of the cookies, but I felt like I shouldn't support a business that undermines our kids, so I walked out hungry. read more

Highly recommend! My bf and I heard about this place opening in San Clemente and immediately had to check it out since we're both big cookie fans. I actually like it better than Crumbl. They have a similar setup where you have the classic flavors and then a couple of flavors that switch out probably every day or every few days. The service is always fantastic. If you have a sweet tooth, this is definitely worth it! read more

Swung by after dinner to check out the shop. It's very pretty inside. We were greeted by a sweet girl who explained our options. We got an OG and it was very, very good. Unbelievable experience. Joele went above and beyond to make our cookie order perfect. We had never ordered from Chip before, he walked us through the menu, customized our fan favorites box, and was even kind enough to write a note on top of the box hoping we enjoyed it. In an era where nobody takes the time to pay attention to the details, unbelievably appreciated. Can't wait to order again, the Biscoff is a spiritual experience. read more

While the prices are slightly higher than in other places, this shop offers special orders and various cakes. We came here after a fest at Jimmy's famous American tavern restaurant. So we decided to just buy one raspberry cupcake. I had it for breakfast in the morning. It was super delicious. It was a very satisfying chocolate cupcake with a raspberry cream on top covered in fine chocolate. I regretted that we discovered it the night just before we departed. Also, our hotel was just crossing the street from this shop. We stayed at the hotel for four days and three nights. All in all, the pastries and the service quality were truly exceptional. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

Love the teamwork, the staff were super stars doing a rush like that, let me tell you it PACKED HOUSE and we got our food and drinks on time, no one in my party had to wait to eat and I forgot to take pictures of my staff meals, only took mines and what I got for the table to share was a croissant french toast, which I believe was their special of the day. I got the chicken fried steak and the portion are MASSIVE!!! All of us took our food home because the portion size are insanely big and bang for the buck!! Great place to eat breakfast or brunch or even a 'Team Building Breakfast Time' LOL Just happy to treating out my amazing staff on their work. The cookies here are AMAZING!!! The chipzookie is a must try desert delicacy, and the cookie bar is a unique feature too!
