In general I am a big fan of Chipotle. I like their food better than Moe's. Somehow I feel you can feel a bit more freshness in Chipotle food. Having said that this Chipotle is slightly below average. In Chipotle they cook the meat right in front of you. And that is a skilled profession. If you go on busy times, the meat is not cooked correctly. But if you go on other times, it is alright. Among the the proteins, I like beef the most, then chicken and after that barbacoa. Among the tacos, I like the hard shell taco the most. There is a secret item in their menu - Quesarrito. Basically they put some cheese in between 2 tortillas. This is kind of a quesadilla. Then they roll your favorite burrito inside this quesadilla. They will hesitate to make it in rush hours, otherwise they will be happy to make it. It is huge, so order it only when you are hungry. I made an online order and waited over an hour past the expected pickup time. There were over 20 people waiting and the employees were very rude and dismissive. They let the completed orders pile up in the back of the kitchen with an excuse that the front of staff couldn't bring them out. When the completed orders were brought out the girls on the register wouldn't place them on the to go shelf and everyone had to ask for their bag individually. After waiting for an hour the staff said they couldn't check on the status of my order, I just had to wait to see if it was filled. My food never came out and I was given the corporate number to call for a refund. The food is usually fine but their online ordering system was awful and the staff made me feel like I was inconveniencing them asking for my order I already paid for. The staff at this location needs some basic training on customer service. We placed an online order for what was supposed to be the Middletown location but accidentally ordered here, Manchester. Our bad. Within 30 seconds of placing the order I contacted the location via phone and asked for them to please either transfer it to the correct location or cancel the order. The man who picked up the phone was EXTREMELY unhelpful and said there was no way to cancel the order (which is not true - per the email that I attached to this). He refused to help us with this simple request and said there was "nothing he could do." I asked to speak to the store manager and he said he was the manager but refused to provide his name. He then said he would call Middletown to see if they could transfer the order and call us back - and much to no one's surprise -never called us back. Chipolte is a publicly traded company. Employees like this give the brand a bad name and certainly make me think twice about ever returning. This was a simple issue to help with. This chipotle is terrible, over the span of 3 years I've never gotten my order on time! I usually go to the one in Glastonbury but every once in a while will go to the Manchester location to try and give them another chance. Every time, I am proven wrong. It takes over an hour to get a pickup order (an hour past the scheduled pickup time)! Classic over promise and under deliver. People who ordered online had to wait for over 30 minutes past their promised time. Order may had been readied, but being hold in the back and not brought out. Their service is very slow and it's a very dirty restaurant, they were also out of stock of ingredients, and failed to include the utensils and napkins requested. Has no designated place for mobile order pickup, so mobile customers crowd the seating area in front of the register waiting for their food. Restaurant and kitchen are way too small for how slow service is, so people are waiting everywhere. TL;DR Restaurant is in dire need of competent management and cleaning staff, designated mobile order pickup, workers that fulfill orders correctly and efficiently, and to stock their ingredients. read more

For every 5 orders I order at chipotle only 1 is completely correct. Tonight topped the charts when every single order was wrong or missing items. I ordered a salad with meat cheese sour cream rice corn salsa and dressing. My salad came with lettuce, chicken & steak. Nothing else. This Chipotle needs an intervention. Five customers ahead of us in line and it took 25 minutes to get to the person starting orders (another 15 for order completion and payment!) As I was starting my order 5 or six to go orders were delivered to the preparer and they started preparing those orders without ever acknowledging that I started my order. My frustration caused me to demand my meal be made before the on line orders. Another employee sensing my frustration came over and started my order. The person in front of me became frustrated because his order stopped being prepared for some reason and was sitting on a disgustingly dirty prep line (sour cream smeared all over the work stations) for at least five minutes as his ordered was cold and ignored. I would have said this was just a bad night but the man behind me said this happens all the time. He doesn't order to go anymore because the order is always incorrect (he said he ordered a salad and it had no lettuce!). I strongly urge your company to take a close look at this location. All you have to do is look at the Yelp reviews. I've never seen a 2 star chipotle rating but it is well deserved. At least 15 people left as we ate our food. Attached is a picture of the location as we left around 9pm. Notice the mob of people waiting for their food and the employee sitting on break (for the full hour we were there; not a good look). Visited yesterday and it was a disaster! While in line, two employees (including one that seemed to be a manager) started arguing, cussing and screaming at each other, right in front of a long line of customers. Then one of the employees (the one who seemed to be a manager) yelled at several of the more junior employees in front of the customers. When we got to the front of the line and AFTER we started our order, they told us they were out of chips, guac, lettuce, pico, and that Chipotle doesn't offer fajita veggies anymore (though I suspect they were also just out of those since they are still listed on the menu). When the guy in front of us said he was upset about not having lettuce, an employee told him that "lettuce doesn't taste like anything anyway so there is no need to complain." I will never go to this garbage can again. I ordered on line and it turns out they were out of most of the ingredients that I ordered. Three menu items were ordered and not one of these items was edible. So it turns out that they cannot give an in store refund one would have to call a number to get a refund. I believe this is one of the worst Chipotle's in the US. I'm not sure how, but this Chipotle is consistently out of essential ingredients (rice, chicken, chips) and utensils.
