This location of Cho Dang is located in Dublin Retail Center inside the food hall of H-Mart. Parking is a bit hectic in this plaza, especially on weekends. The main food court entrance is on the outer side of the building. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well. It was a bit difficult to get the attention of the employees here - even though there were 3 standing by the front counter. I could not decide on the beef or seafood, so I opted for their mixed option. Price was a bit steep, as it was $20 for a soft tofu soup, but it does come with a few sides and a small rice. 1) Tofu soup is too salty. Not sure what sauce they used for the soup but definitely not the normal tofu soup that you would taste from other authentic k restaurant. We ordered the #2 mixed seafood and meat tofu soup. Overall, I found it a bit pricey at $20. The soup was okay--flavor was there, but it had a strong MSG/instant ramen-type taste. The tofu was soft and held together well, and was probably the best part of the dish. The seafood was decent, but the meat was tough and not cut very well. Service was quick and efficient, more in line with fast-casual dining. It also came with a small selection of banchan, which was average, and a dry fried croaker that was just okay. Hot stone beef was very good and could serve two. Little on the pricey side looking at the menus. Lots of different choices to try from bibimbap, seafood, tofu bowls. Not bad, not great. Note: this review is from the grand opening so hopefully it's better once it's the initial traffic has calmed down. If you're in downtown Dublin and craving bibimbap, this will do the trick. They offer a variety of tofu soups and bibimbap. I won't comment on the wait since it was the grand opening so a longer wait time is expected. There was a surprising amount of seating available given how crowded the lines were though. There is both indoor and outdoor seating (with umbrellas). Lively atmosphere but again, grand opening. I got the hot stone beef bibimbap and it had all the standard toppings along with some tasty banchan. However, there was slightly more rice than I'm used to and the beef was ground rather than the usual bulgogi slices. Tasty beef tofu soup and pork bulgogi and the combo comes with a surprising amount of sides - a small fried fish, some banchan, a bowl of white rice, and a pack of seaweed. Mediocre at best soft tofu (soon doo boo) soup. Was served lukewarm when it should be boiling hot. Had to ask them to reboil since there was an uncooked raw egg with egg shell in it. First taste was overly salty that had to add water. The shrimp in the soup is not fresh. Added side of pork bulgogi, which was also lukewarm and had pork gaminess to it. You are better off at other local Korean restaurants that have average soft tofu soup but are at least better than this place. This place is popular because it's close proximity to the new H Mart. We had tofu combo and hot stone bibimbap. I thought food court prices should be cheaper than regular restaurants, but this place was even more expensive than a sit-down restaurant. We had to order at the counter, pick up the food ourselves, and return the dishes after the meal -- so I honestly don't understand why a tip was expected. I spent $78 including tip, which felt way too expensive for such simple, average food. If I'm going to spend that much money, I'd rather go to a regular restaurant and get proper service. read more

The galbi and bulgogi were good. I've had better. Both were on the pricey side. The thing to note about eating at this food court is that you need to return the tray and dishware back to the vendor you bought it from. This wouldn't be a big deal except that when it's busy (which it frequently is) you'll likely be sitting outside and will need to bring everything back to the vendor and try to find space for your tray on a cart near the counter. The cart will likely be full and you may find yourself having to bend low to try to load your tray on a lower shelf. The staff won't help you. read more

Solid spot to get a bite to eat after shopping at H-Mart. 5/5 for overall experience. Staff did a GREAT job powering through the line of chaos. I ordered a #15 soft tofu + galbi (with an upgrade to the beef short rib). Food came out at a reasonable time (~15 minutes) and was fresh. Rice was soft, not dry. Soft tofu soup was NOT watery and pretty flavorful. Galbi was tender, balanced and easy to bite off the bone. I think they did a great job for such a small shop in such a bustling little food court. A Massive Disappointment - Skip This Food Court Stall I was really looking forward to trying the food court at the new Dublin H-Mart, but this place was a massive disappointment. I ordered their signature dish--the BBQ Beef Short Ribs--which comes with three side dishes and a bowl of rice. With tax, it came out to about $37. I don't mind paying a premium price if it's for premium quality, but for food court dining, this was an absolute rip-off. ​Here is why you should skip it: ​Deceiving Marketing: The large, bright billboard next to the store is incredibly misleading. The photo clearly shows a small fish included on the side, but the actual meal does not come with it. ​Terrible Quality Meat: The side dishes weren't even worth mentioning, but the real issue was the beef short ribs. More than 50% of the meat was pure fat. It looked exactly like the scraps and trimmings I would normally cut off and discard when buying meat from the supermarket. To make matters worse, the entire dish was soaking in a puddle of oil. ​Abysmal Customer Service: I took the food back to the counter to complain to the cashier. She had absolutely no reaction, completely ignored the issue, and just flatly said, "Ok." ​A lot of my friends have been excited about H-Mart finally opening in the Dublin area and are eager to try the new food court options. I will definitely be telling them to save their money and completely skip this stall. I will never go back. read more

Went on 3/31 so less than a week from the grand opening. I'm hoping they get better but for now, certainly below average for this Korean. The tofu soup was watery, salty and lacking content. I know tofu is not that expensive but there was such a small amount of it. Even worse, the rice was hard and it became more difficult to chew with each bite. I mean freshly cooked rice is such a low bar to meet. If the owner is reading this - we want you to succeed. But you need to really focus on your food quality early before words spread. read more
