Ordered through Uber Eats who has it listed as Aloha Hawaiian Grill, never again. The ribs showed up with half of them less meat than bones and the chicken looked (and tasted) like it was boiled in salt water rather than grilled. Terrible Hawaiian food

PARKING: It's a mid sized strip plaza. There's a big market and a 99 cents store so there's a bunch of parking. Had no problem finding a spot right in front of the restaurant. SEATING: There's two tables, but I think mostly this space is a to go place as indicated in their restaurant name. I didn't mind this as I wanted this to go. The tables were clean and I enjoyed waiting. SERVICE: Was promptly greeted when I entered! You order at the big window and you can actually see them cooking when you finish ordering. It's nice! I like knowing how freshly made the food is. Also the sounds of a lively kitchen make me happy. I want to say I waited about 10 minutes, which was great because I was very hungry. FOOD: Let me tell you how much more hungry I was when they handed me the bag!! It smelled so good and the bag was so heavy. Driving home was a quick one because my stomach was ready!! For a to-go order, they gave me extra utensils and sauce packets (soy sauce and Sriracha). They did give me two katsu sauces, but they were quite tiny. When I come back, I'd ask for more only because I love katsu sauce a lot. I ordered a Large Katsu Chicken, that comes with rice, mac, and cabbage ($10.99), Crab Rangoons (4 for $4.99) and Spam Musubi (2 for $6.99). Unfortunately, they did forget my cabbage with the Katsu Chicken but it was okay since they gave so much chicken!! I was shocked by how much food I got. I ate it for lunch and dinner. Two meals in one! The rice was rice. However, the chicken was so nice, tender, and crisp! The sauce went really well with it. I just wish I had more. It was still delicious without it, but I'm a sauce kind of gal. The mac was plain. It didn't have any veggies in it like most do, but it was still pretty good. The Crab Rangoons tasted a bit light, in a good way. It was just different from ones I've had before. I felt like if I wasn't so full from the Katsu. I could eat like 20 of them. Wish I had a dipping sauce for it! Again, personal preference. The spam musubi was basic. Not bad, just okay. Wouldn't get it next time just so I can try something else on their menu. OVERALL: I really enjoyed the quality of the meal and quickness of it all. It's definitely going to be a place I'll hit up again due to their wide range of things of their menu. The sushi was really enticing to me. I just felt more in the mood for chicken katsu.

Great take out spot for sushi and Hawaiian bbq! Food is delicious! Fast no frills! Good portion size. Came here for lunch take out one day and ordered several items from the menu. The place is a small shop with a few table and really only for take out which is totally fine by me. It was super easy to order at the counter, and I didn't have to wait very long for the food to come out. Everything was cooked fresh. Everything tasted delicious and the portion sizes. Very good. Definitely be coming back again.

Beef n Broccoli was really good. Had lots of flavor the cabbage still with a light crunch not soggy at all. Very good Vegetable Eggrolls were crunchy on the outside n soft n mushy inside I prefer when the vegetables are a lil not so mushy but whatevz... over all I liked it alot n will be coming back. Plus the close late 1am so that's a plus The service was nice n friendly They have a kiosk to order

    Egg drop soup

Was craving egg drop soup and I am so disappointed! Paid about 11 dollars to get it dashed to me for the 32o and this was not how it looks in the photo. It's very water down broth with no egg whites AT ALL! I am so frustrated because this was my last dollar used to get me food I thought would be delicious and they just gave me a whole lot of water down broth! Will not be going here again!

I appreciate this restaurant being open late especially working long hours at the fair. That being said, upon parking, it was great to know there was a sign that said open. On maps, it showed the hours were closed, but yelp said till 1:30am. I went around 12:30am. The interior was very nice and had 2 tables to sit, wait and eat if you wanted to. But as some of the other review mention... to-go so it was very quick and easy. That being said, I appreciate how fast and good the food smell. And being able to eat hot food that wasn't reheated. I order the Rainbow Roll. Very good portion size and taste. 10/10 recommend. Squeeze lemon for taste and had ginger and soy sauce. I totally forgot about the spicy mayo that was in the bag. I was too hungry that I ate it before taking a picture. The Crab Rangoon was good, I love how crispy it was. My only thing was that it was smaller than expect. But not bad. Now here is my problem. I was really looking forward to this last one, which is why i order Egg Flower Soup. However, I open it to find that the color and consistency wasn't matching. And it was really oily. I was expecting more egg and every bit I got oil. Honestly, i have been craving this... which is why I order the 32oz. But this was not good. Honestly, not sure if I can keep eating this. I would definitely stay away from the soup.

What is this chicken don't even have salt or sauce rice was super hard macaroni no flavor just boiled in water with mayonnaise

This place is known as island Hawaiian BBQ on door dash and let me tell you worst Hawaiian BBQ I've ever had how you gonna cook the teriyaki chicken without teriyaki how you gonna burn the BBQ Rib and you sent out the smallest most crisp charred piece of meat when we just paid $50 for two plates and a side of Masubi what a disappointment nasty food I'm sorry I just can't believe it this must be the worst review I have ever done who ever took over from the last owners they really downgraded on product go to McDonald you would enjoy that better

------------ Pros ------------ -Portion Size is Decent -Cheap and Affordable -Mongolian Beef and Macaroni Salad were okay -Chow Mein could be better ------------ Cons ------------ -Spicy Tuna was terrible and extremely spicy nor did it taste like your average spicy tuna the ingredients were all wrong -Teriyaki sauce that they provide for the teriyaki beef is not at all teriyaki -The Miso soup was absolutely bland -The Fried Rice tasted like it was frozen -The Orange Chicken was mushy which tells me it was probably cooked in some sort of sauce -My partner and I both suffered from food poisoning -Getting up every 15 for the bathroom isn't the best feeling at all ------------ Note: Please make changes to the kitchen staff, or make changes to the recipes this ain't it chief.. The food has no heart or soul, everything is wrong if customers are getting sick from it, otherwise I would probably need to get in touch with the DPH(Department of Public Health).. Not cool guys.. Overall: 1/5 Until Changes are made

Orange chicken, Sweet and Spicy Chicken, Fried Rice, and Chow Mein, packed in a to-go box.

Ordered a 2 entree combo to go, which was a half fried rice half chow mein side with orange chicken and sweet and spicy chicken. The food was okay. The rice didn't have many veggies but tasted decent (it was similar to Panda Express). Noodles didn't have flavor. Meat was meh - the sauce was okay but the chicken was mushy. Overall it was filling but not very flavorful. Definitely not authentic Chinese. Presentation was better. The restaurant looked clean, and the food packaging was branded and felt legit. The place had a self-serve kiosk where you order your food yourself, so it had an empty eerie kind of feeling. But the people in the kitchen were friendly with the little interaction I had with them. Overall I gave it 3 stars because the price can't be beat: 2 entree combo + tax + tip was only $8. They pack plentiful portions, so what it lacks in taste makes up for in fullness, making it a good place to get a cheap meal.

I wanted to give this place a good review because I can see it is a new spot but the experience getting the food, waiting, but then seeing that by the time we got home and we didn't even get what we ordered, it was SUPER disappointing :( The cooks don't work as a team, it's clear they don't know what's going on. We witnessed them bickering and trying to figure out who's cooking what for which order. There is 0 communication with anyone in the back or the front. The one guy in the front idk why he was even there he was just sitting in a chair on his phone doing nothing... there's only takeout options and you can only order through a screen which is fine but there are no ways to customize anything, so if you have any allergies or you want to add/remove things via the ordering kiosk- you cannot. A baby roach fell from the literal sky while we were waiting for the food, we stood up and were grossed out for a few minutes before we told the guy sitting down on his phone, then he went and found it and killed it. After that we were like damn should we have ordered from here? But we had already been waiting quite a while so we decided to stay. My partner got orange chicken (that's it) and I got the short rib and teriyaki beef combo plate which comes with rice and Mac salad. I wish we got what we ordered because instead of that, we got whatever type of pink chicken they wanted to give us, some really bad pieces of short rib, and the teriyaki beef on its own separate combo plate. Food review: The Mac salad was flavorless, it's literally just macaroni and Mayo I did not want to even try the chicken due to its color so nobody ate it. The short ribs were extremely fatty and tough to chew, same with the teriyaki beef. Again we ordered ORANGE CHICKEN.... Where even is the orange chicken???!? The chicken they gave us looks like undercooked teriyaki chicken either way so ???????? It's just baffling to me how this place even started, how it's still running, how they have good reviews on here.... I have so many questions that will be left unanswered. Please don't come here !!!

Philly roll poorly made with no cream cheese.

I am beyond upset of the amount of money I spent last night trying to order sushi when I ended up being the most ripped off I have with ordering take out.. Everybody knows that sushi is already pricey, and I decide to treat myself after a really rough week, the fact that I paid $16 for one roll that was missing a main ingredient and got completely the wrong second role that I placed for takeout is beyond unacceptable. I do not understand what the chefs were thinking or who the Chef was last night, but it is honestly embarrassing that they even thought in their heads that this type of food to give out to a customer is acceptable, nowhere in the order was it modified for the Philadelphia role to not have cream cheese and look at the pictures below of how poorly done that Philadelphia roll was made. It had a very thin slice of avocado and cucumber just shoved in the center of the roll. The second roll that I was really looking forward to was a spicy tuna, I ended up getting a roll that looks like a Crunchyroll with spicy crab inside of it, which is a complete opposite of a spicy tuna roll. A spicy tuna roll should be just the spicy tuna in the center of the roll and the rice outside with the seats without any type of deep frying or any type of eel sauce.. I really hope that a manager is able to reach out to me or I'm able to get a hold of someone because last night I kept trying multiple times to call the number and no one was answering me. SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT ORDER SUSHI FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

You can feel the history there and but don't judge it on its aesthetics. It may look a little run down, but the food and service make up for it. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with a warm welcome by the host. The menu was pretty easy to navigate but I had heard this place was known for their fried chicken. So of course I had to get the half bird. The chicken was juice and crispy. I loved that the batter was light but not oily. What really surprised me was the waffle. I normally don't like waffles but this waffle was AMAZING. Literally one of the best waffles I've ever had in my life. I just love that Day Day's felt like a home cooked meal rather than a gimmicky experience. I will note that they do not take card here. They do take cash and Zelle, so be prepared for that. Other than that, I had an amazing time.

Okay, I want to make it clear that I am not her to frivolously review a neighborhood restaurant…read more Small businesses are the backbone of our country, specially important and black, woman and minority owned. So here's my good and not so good. Good: the service here is amazing, friendly attentive and I watched every dine in customer receive extraordinary care. The portion sizes are huge and the whole restaurant felt like you were in someone's own kitchen on a weekend morning with all of the right smells in the air for a great brunch. Here's the not so good: it took 4 minutes shy of an hour to get lunch for 2 (2 order of chicken tenders, side of red beans and rice and an order of hush puppies ) prepared. Although the booths were full, most of the tables had their food, so it didn't appear to be a lot of tickets stacked up. When my order was finally delivered, and I took the10 minute drive back home, I opened the bag to fund 3 brown paper bags, wet, soggy and soaking in grease. Because the food hadn't been allowed to cool a bit and it was placed in a plastic bag with no way to vent out steam, every item was soggy and falling apart. The fries were wet and soggy, the chicken had all of the dry coat falling off and most the seasoning was pulled off of the batter that was left because of the water and steam. Additionally, the red beans and rice were so wet, they were almost soup. One of the orders had potato salad as a side, but to received overcooked soggy fries instead. The hush puppies were way over cooked, they had passed the golden brown cook level and were a black brown color and were sort of flavorless and really soggy from the heat of the plastic bag. I'm sure that most of this could have been avoided if I hadn't placed a to go order. But I'm leaving this review so that when you order from this little gem, you consider dining in or asking for the foot with plenty of lead time so that they don't rush, improperly pack the food for transit (let it cool off a bit) and have the time to make sure the order is correct, and cooked to a standard that best represents the business. Pomona needs Day-Days as a locally owned, black owned soul food restaurant. Switching from plastic to paper bags and giving the food time to vent will go a long way with quality for the customer. In the end the food tasked good, I'm sure was prepared with love, but fell flat on the delivery. All of that said, patronize this restaurant!!!!

I had asked for cornbread, but they told me they couldn't add it through Uber Eats, so it wasn't included. That was understandable, and I had assumed it was free because of some older menu photos on Yelp. Since I enjoyed the food, I decided to come back and order in person to avoid miscommunication. One thing I will mention is that they didn't include BBQ sauce on the side when I ordered via Uber Eats. If you're ordering a brisket sandwich, the sauce that's already on it isn't really enough. Today, I specifically asked to buy two pieces of cornbread because that was what I was really looking forward to. By the time I got home, I ate my sandwich and found a piece of hair in it. Not ideal, but mistakes happen. Then I went to get my cornbread and realized it wasn't in the bag at all. I had specifically asked for it, and I don't know whether I was charged for it because I didn't ask for a receipt since I paid by card. The workers were very friendly, and the food itself has been good except for the hair in my sandwich and today's Mac and cheese was very salt Overall my experience was pretty disappointing because again I did not get the corn bread I specifically came for and the hair in my food and the Mac and cheese was so salty I didn't even eat it. Last time I ordered the Mac and cheese was so good but not today
