Let me start off by saying this place is F'n AWESOME! I was told about this place by buddy and we ended up eating here one day after the gym. The place is known for their chicken teriyaki bowls and burritos. I ordered up a medium bowl with brown rice and avacado on the side. It took about 5 mins to get my food and damn it looked so damn good when it was placed on the counter. I would usually wolf down my meal after the gym but this bowl was savored and i enjoyed every last bite. This spot has its busy lunch rushes from the last 5 times ive been here but believe me waiting doesnt take away from the taste or enjoyment. I will definately be coming back here for my lunch or weekend meal after a work out. read more

I love this place! Im a regular customer and it makes me feel special how they recognize me and know my order. It 's always made to perfection and the staff is wonderful. Although they charge for all their extras the owner should keep in mind that we are use to getting extras at other restaurants. Keep in mind peeps its not the registers girls that love to charge the extras they are only doing their jobs and doing what they are told to do which is promote extras. I'm hooked on this place and it has a ton of potential!! I prefer to take-out rather than dine-in because it's usually very empty and the decor is anything but decor. Being empty isn't such a bad thing when it comes to Chop Teriyaki though. Since I love their food, I want it all to myself...BUT, I do hope that this business holds a permanent residence compared to their ghost town neighbors. It honestly isn't anything spectacular, but I haven't had better teriyaki around these parts. I usually order the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with brown rice. Comes with white rice, but brown is extra. Worth it though. It already comes mixed with the sauce and you can ask for extra for 25 cents more. That's the one thing I don't like about certain restaurants....they charge extra for sauce or dip or whatever! I'll cough up a quarter because I want it, but I don't give it up happily. On a another positive note, the portions that they give you are very generous based on their prices. I definitely love that! I strongly believe that yelp is a place of HONESTY. That is why wen I saw Chop Teriyaki IS NOT WORTH IT. I MEAN IT.The food is way to expensive for what they are giving you, and this place is LITTERALLY a SAUNA. So hot in fact I felt so bad for the people that work there. I genuinely thought some of them were either going to have a heat stroke or faint or the Lord knows what it was so hot in there. THANK GOD THE FOOD WAS DECENT because had it not been I would've been so upset demand my money back because it's unacceptable first of all I went in and bought 2 chop Bowls or whatever they're called, One was tofu and the other was chicken And I walked out of the $20 less than what I had. And thank God for the nice young lady that told me to order that because she save me some money. In all honesty you could probably go somewhere else and get the same thing for cheaper because this place is not only so expensive and for people who live in the luxury life it is so hot so unless you want to be SWEATING A STORM eating or be forced to eat outside because it's so hot then don't come to this place. read more

I don't know what happened. The food was great before but it seems like it has change a lot. For the worst not for the best.

This is strictly for the customer service. The food is above average. The cashiers are very rude and look unhappy to be there. They are very stingy with their condiments when you order to go and they charge you for any extras. So to get around that, I had my food there because they have the bottle of sauces out and I am able to use as much as I want. Service needs MUCH improvement. Also there is a $5 minimum as I found out. I usually have no problem with that as long as there is a sign posted to warn customers. There currently is not. I had spent over $10 in food and my mom wanted to add an order of egg rolls after I had ordered and the rudest cashier with the worst attitude told me "no, there is a $5 minimum." Really?! I had just ordered a ton of food and they couldn't accommodate? She was condescending the entire time as if she was doing me a favor for taking my order. As a frequent customer I left very disappointed and insulted in their lack of appreciation for their clientele. read more

This place is good! Upon coming here I was on a veggie diet so I opted to order the Tofu teriyaki burger which was great. It came with lettuce, tomato, onion, teriyaki sauce, grilled tofu, mayo, and pickles (which I usually don't get). Most combos come with fries if desired as well. My friends were totally into their chicken bowls which they gratuitously top of it with sliced avocados. Clean place and good service! read more

The place is extremely clean and with plenty of parking out front. unfortunately the food was not that special! i ordered the large teriyaki bowl which was a huge disappointment!! The chicken was extremely rubbery and dry! it had a couple of grill mark but it was chopped up in different size pieces absolutely no consistency. They serve it on a bed of dry steamed rice then they drizzle a water down teriyaki and a couple of green onions on top nothing special! i asked the girl for an extra teriyaki sauce to go and she said that they were 25 cents(with an attitude) but the one in the squeeze bottle n the tables was free so i walked my little cheap behind to the table opened my to go container and squeezed the hell out of the bottle over that questionable chicken! customer service was poor their was plenty of room for improvement!! get your act together Chop Teriyaki it sounds like a great concept but unfortunately it wasn't executed right!! read more

The food here is great, no complaints in that dept. and they're very generous with the food portions. My wife and I have been here a few times and we only order one chicken teriyaki bowl for the both of us and I still end up eating her leftovers. Now here's the down side, they're super stingy with their condiments. I always let them know that that we share the food and they still only give us 1 teriyaki packet and 1 hot sauce and 1 pair of chop sticks. When I ask for one more of each they look at you as if you were asking for some free food or something even though you're paying for the extra condiments?! Maybe they should ease up on the food portions and they wouldn't have to worry about the amount of condiments you get. read more

me and my wife went here today. my plate was good but my wifes had a fly in it. the cashier took forever to serve our drinks and she continued to swat flies throughout the place. i know it was hot today, but damm. i didnt really think it was cool to keep swating flies and making us wait for our drinks. after my wife saw the fly, i couldnt eat anymore. the health dept should check this place out. read more

The menu is misleading, not all combos come with a salad and personally I think it is a rip off to charge 1.35 for avocado when they say it comes with. Worst service ever. I was always skeptical coming into this place based off the atmosphere however after my sister telling me to try it out I did and became a normal customer here. Today, just like any other time I come to chop I expect great food and great service. However, they messed up on my burger, fine, accidents happen which i completely understand; except,once I make them aware that it was not the way I ordered it the lady behind the counter gets defensive asking well how did I order it and if I can give her my receipt. First off they collect the receipt so don't ask me for it when you have it secondly I would appreciate an apology for the burger was not my mistake. Immediately after another customer walks up to say they messed up on her bowl as well yet the same lady did not victimize her as she did myself and I'm thinking because now she knows I am not the only one with an incorrect order. After the lady places my order in I wait about 5 mins watching the other people who's order was messed up as well get their food. I'm still waiting about 10 mins in as I start to get agitated and the lady checks up on the food and has them make it since they never did when she told them to. By far the worst service I have received in a few years, upon getting my food and leaving the lady try's to compensate with apologies which at this time I am in no mood for.
