This has been one of our go to spots in the neighborhood. I know they have new owners, a couple years ago, and there food has always been pretty good. Over the past month, we have ordered their chicken and tofu over rice and beef chow fun. The chicken and tofu has been terrible. The tofu has either been steamed or braised. I have no idea why it's not stir fried w the chicken, either way it taste like crap. As for the chow fun, the noodles have been mushy, and the beef had no flavor. Again, our go to restaurant has been horrible. At some point, we ll give them a second chance, but Chopsticks needs to step up their game. read more

I've been eating at this spot for as long as I can remember. The food is as close to San Francisco quality as you can get in the Pocket, and the portions are great. Prices have gone up over the years, but I'm glad they're able to do so! They were closed for a bit because of the pandemic, but they take great precautions to ensure cleanliness and safety for everyone. The last time I placed an order over the phone, and one item was misheard. They replaced the item free of charge. My favorites here are the chicken chow mein and dry beef chow fun! This has always been one of my favorite chinese food spots. I now live 45 minutes away from here but the quality, quantity of food and price make it worth the drive. They are a take-out only place so covid hasnt impacted dine in for them. Most orders can get completed within 20 minutes of ordering and they do walk in orders or phone orders. They do not give small portions in any of their food options. They also have huge combo plates that have a few different ordering options. I have gotten takeout from Chopsticks a few times now and this place never misses. Our favorite dishes are the salt and pepper fish, and the green beans in black bean sauce. My family has been ordering take out from here for 10+ years. The owners have changed, but the food is the same. The pricing is fair and it's convenient because you just call ahead and then pick up. Our favorites are: Fried chicken - super crispy coating and the meat has a garlicky flavor. Very tasty. Tomato beef noodles - just the right amount of tomato flavor and beef. Cheeseburger - I used to wonder why a Chinese place would have burgers, but they are SO good! It's probably because the Chinese food grease flavors the burger haha. Comes with a whole slice of grilled onion, tomato, lettuce, and mayonnaise. The bun is grilled too. A must try! Their skinny fries are pretty standard. If I can give this place zero stars I would. I don't know why I ever went back. I guess it's because it's in the neighborhood. I order combination chowfun expecting diff meat and veggies, I got 1 piece of shrimp and a few pieces of chicken. As for veggies I got bean sprouts. Wow!! To top it off when I called them, the lady owner said no refund and next time ask for extra veggies. WTF.... I asked if she could just replace it for me and she refused. I have been a customer since 2012 but in the last few visits I think the cook is new. A month ago I ordered my same 4 things shrimp fried rice, shrimp chow mien, sweet and sour pork and chicken egg foo yun everything was overcooked. So I thought maybe they were having an off day until I ordered on Sunday. All I will say is my egg foo yun had alot of egg shells and bones last I checked that is not part of the recipe. I love Chopsticks Express! My hubby and I go there about once a week. It's a good neighborhood takeout place. The downside is that they only take cash. Everything we have tried has been awesome but my favs are chicken with long bean (seasonal) and their fried chicken wings. They're chicken wings actually reminds me of my late dad's.
