I never really have an appetite for Chinese but I came with my in laws because they brag that it's good and they give a lot for the price. They were right. I order the chicken noodle soup, addition to that was my daughter's orange chicken and pan noodles. I'm not to crazy for it but if you wanted dress it up or change to chow mien was extra charge. Their egg foo young was quite tasty and still have a crispy bite even when smothered in gravy sauce. Customer service was cool too. read more

I had the Combo Chow Mien. Pretty good. A bit greasy for my taste. $8.15. Fast and very attentive service. May I suggest the 'To-Go' option. Inside is a bit creepy and certainly very dated. Tried this place because I was nearby. I had the Mongolian Beef. It was different than I have had at other places. The sauce was a peanut sauce with just a little but of a bite to it. It was served over pan fried noodles. It was very tasty. My coworker got the special chowmein and he said it was rather tasty too. I remember trying something at the establishment years back and not being impressed but today's was good and I'll definitely be back. read more

I love these guys. I live near Woodward Park and I drive all the way over there. Mostly take-out. Order the egg rolls, they are full of delicious sweet pork, cabbage and onions. Perfect. As a matter of fact, I usually order 30-40 at a time and ask them not to cook them for me. I bring them home and freeze them, and we have them every once in a while. Super friendly. read more

EGG ROLLS, wow they were awesome!! We had read some of the reviews about them and had to give the egg rolls a try. They are nice and big, most of all freshly made. We also ordered the #4 Combo and it was huge! It was a meal for two, the orange chicken was on point. We love take out style Chinese Food and Chopsticks is doing it right. The price is VERY good and sizes are more than enough to keep you full. Thier friendly service will keep you coming back for more. We found this hidden gem through Yelp and word of mouth, so next time you are in Fresno and you have a craving for some good Chinese Take Out this IS the place you should try. Ugh. I just don't understand all the 4 and 5 star reviews. My wife and I were staying at a local hotel near the airport and checked Yelp for dinner recommendations nearby. This restaurant came up highly rated, and we decided to go for it. We should have read the 1 star reviews. I have to agree with other one star reviewers. The place is a dive. When we arrived I had second, third, and fourth thoughts. Bad neighborhood, the place looks like it should be torn down, and the inside was worse. I was ready to leave immediately and should have trusted my "gut" since it was going to have to deal with the food, but my wife doesn't like "searching" for food (she's a one stop shopper), it seemed popular with a number of people picking up food, and a local PD officer was picking up his order. Typically, if law enforcement eats at a restaurant it's probably clean and the food is good. Well, maybe not in Fresno. Well, given the popularity, and having eaten at dives before and had good food we decided to place a take out order. I got the Thai Garlic Chicken, and my wife got the Ginger Beef. We probably should have looked at the food before leaving, but we just paid and took it to the hotel (We were in a hurry to leave the area). The containers seemed heavy and packed with food, but when I opened up the Styrofoam container what I saw was pretty gross, and mostly rice. I still can't figure out what was "Thai" about my Thai Garlic Chicken (there was absolutely nothing "Thai" about it), or "ginger" about the Ginger Beef. Both seemed to have the same gray/brown gravy poured over them. I seriously thought about not eating either dish given the appearance, but I tried a couple of bites anyway. My chicken had a strange taste and texture to it, simply put......very unpleasant, and I decided to cut my loses and not try the beef. Both had a gray/brown color to them. My wife did, and we quickly closed the containers and threw it in the trash "outside" the room and down the hall. Live and learn. Don't believe the Yelp hype about this place. I've been going to Chopstix for over 20yrs, and have never been disappointed. Recently I have relocated to San Antonio TX and no B/S I have my family back home overnight this deliciousness to me at least once every other month. To me the cost is well worth the Happy tummy. I've yet to find a place in S.A. That meets or matches the chow mein back home, I miss you Chopstix and can't wait to be home someday sitting in for a fresh plate. read more

My meal from Chopsticks was just alright. I was staying a hotel near the airport and called in my order for pick up. The girl on the phone stated it would be 20 min. I ended up waiting 50 minutes for my meals. I was patient since I saw other Yelpers giving 5 star reviews, so it must be really good. I have to say that the portions were larger than your typical Chinese restaurant. However, I was disappointed with the taste of the food. I got the combo #4 and only got 6 small pieces of chicken. The rest was filled to the brim with rice and chow meon. The Chinese noodles were very soggy and the rice was dry. The egg rolls that I got as a side dish were the best part of my meal. They were huge and they gave you 3 in the order. I would have just eaten these as my meal since they were so filling. Overall I wouldn't come back unless you don't care about the taste of your food and want the most for your money. read more

Went to chopsticks yesterday for the fist time. I ordered the #4 combo to go with egg rolls and the hubby ordered the same with pot stickers. When we got home, I was shocked to see how much came with the combo. The egg rolls are the best that I have ever had in Fresno. I am eating leftovers for lunch and everything is still flavorful and awesome. The restaurant area is not the nicest, but it is definitely worth the food and customer service! Give it a try! This is our family's favorite Chinese place for take out. I love the won ton soup. You can add on extra shrimp or pork. I eat my soup with a fork! That's how awesome and filling it is. They give you a small side container for the extra soup broth that doesn't fit into the to-go container. The egg flower soup is delicious. I also love the fried shrimp dinner plate. The hot and sour soup is awful, it's like Chinese chicken soup in a thick nasty broth. Fried rice and chow mien is equally nasty. I found this place on yelp and decided to check it out. Upon arriving I was giving it a second thought due to the terrible neighborhood and ripped up seats in the booths. The booths had been fashioned with duct tape to repair the rips. I sucked it out and thought, it has great reviews, I'll try it. Highly disappointed. We left just as hungry as when we arrived, the food was simply uneatable. Just got takeout from here. WILL NOT BE BACK. The only reason why I ordered from here was because of the reviews I read on Yelp and because of the prices on the menu picture (someone else posted) seemed to be pretty cheap. Guess what -- the prices have gone up about a dollar per entree! The chicken in the chicken salad had too much batter, sure it's crunchy but too thick to bite into-- people who like the chicken in the salad don't realize that you are eating all batter, not very much chicken in there. Thai style garlic chicken was not thai style at all. Ridiculous to even call it that. It was bland and consisted of various chunks of unappetizing-looking chicken. Potstickers were your typical out-of-the-freezer-bag dumplings. But, the chicken pad thai was probably the worst. The sauce just tasted sour and inedible. I had to throw it in a pan and add some of my own pad thai sauce to even make it okay. Pretty surprising to read all of these 5 star reviews on here when I really want to give a negative star, too bad I can't even do that. Now, about the waitress. When I called in the order, she told me it would be ready in about 20-30 minutes. So, we got to the restaurant about 20 minutes later. There was one person working the register and dining area. We walked in, she was writing out a check for one of the tables, looked up and said "I'll be right with you." Okay, so we wait about 5 minutes while she serves the table. She comes back and ignores that we are standing there in front of the register. Instead, she grabs the box of takeout for a couple waiting and calls them up. That's another 5 minutes of waiting. After they leave, she finally asks if we're picking up, and my husband pays for the food. Then, she grabs the ticket with our order and calls out the order to the back kitchen. BASICALLY, she didn't tell them to make it until we arrived, which pisses me off because I literally waited 20 minutes before leaving the house on the EXPECTATION that the food would be ready when I got there. WHY TF WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE THAT FOOD WOULD BE READY IN 20-30 MINUTES IF YOU KNOW THAT IT WON'T BE COOKED UNTIL THEY ARRIVE??!?!?!?? (^insert Jackie Chan meme here^). You could have at least told me over the phone that it wouldn't be cooked until I arrive, and then I would've left the house right away, FFS. So guess what?! Another 15 minutes of waiting for food to be cooked. Should've just asked for a refund and went to Four Seasons. BOTTOM LINE: Prices are like anywhere else. Less than mediocre food. Horrible Service. Not even gonna mention the restaurant appearance. Take your pick. read more
