Ordered from here a few weeks before Christmas. One of my sons and I got the Mexican Caesar and the other son got the Poblano Chicken Bowl. I was ok with my Mexican Caesar. The portions are definitely generous. But they give you one small thing of salad dressing. Nowhere near enough for a salad of that size. So a lot of my salad was undressed. And I was not super impressed with the chicken. It reminded me of the pre-cooked sliced chicken you can buy at the grocery store. Rubbery and Salty. My son who ordered the same as I, wasn't very impressed either (had the same sentiment of rubbery salty chicken and way to little dressing) My son who ordered the Roasted Poblano Bowl fared better. I have tried Chopt salads a few times now. I ordered the warm Chinese chicken salad bowl. They only give dark meat. The picture shows what looks like breast meat but there's no indication which is really misleading. Most of the pieces of chicken were dark and gristly. A couple of the ingredients were missing, the wonton strips and carrots. The dressing is bland. The other salads I tried in the past were similar. Poorly made and low quality. I was so happy when they finally opened a Chopt location closer to my house so I didn't have to make the drive to DC for my fave salad This location has an amazing staff (shout out to Sammy, super patient while I decided what I wanted on 2 separate salads) and they are always kind and patient. Also this location is extremely clean even the bathrooms are always on point. I came in here recently for a late lunch/early dinner while waiting for a movie at Kingstowne Regal. This place is very good for a quick, healthy meal that is reasonably priced. I got a can of Proud Source spring water ($2.79), a can of Sanpellegrino aranciata rossa ($2.29), and a Mediterranean tahini bowl with warm grains ($11.99). The sales tax was $1.15. The Sanpellegrino was made from orange concentrate and blood orange concentrate, in sparkling water. It was interesting since I had never had that before. The tahini bowl was good, but wild rice would have better than brown rice. The brown rice was a little too starchy. Wild rice would have complemented the other ingredients better. The tahini bowl had brown rice, vinaigrette, lemon tahini, chicken, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, feta cheese, red onions, pita chips, cabbage, and cilantro. The service was quick and friendly. I did order the drinks, the different options of cold teas..but I didn't like the drinks from the fountain station, even the sweet tea wasn't sweet. I'll stick with the canned drinks next time. I have to say that this restaurant chain has now ranked number one in my book. Ever since last year I have been coming here on a regular basis. Today was my first visit at this particular location, but I've been to pretty much all of their other locations throughout the DMV at least twice! I'm not bashful about saying it, because the salads that the prepare here are pure awesomeness! You would be hard pressed attempting to prepare something like what they offer in your own kitchen, much less the salad bar at a grocery store. Today ordered what I usually order, which was the Mexican Cesar salad with grilled chicken. The ingredients that they mix and prepare together are what make the salad so delicious. Some of the ingredients include jalapeno peppers, shredded cheese, crushed tortillas, and romaine lettuce. Bit it's the grilled chicken that make it a true meal. One day soon I will try one of their other salad creations. read more

They did not have fried chicken and replaced it with grilled which I didn't want. They also said the fried chicken was in the back but I guess they couldn't get it... They also didn't have the red chile ranch dressing and didn't have bread either. I reluctantly took the salad and I definitely shouldn't have. They were out of what seemed like half the menu. Literally in my party of three people, everyone had something from their order unavailable at 630 at night. One salad was made incorrectly. They also had no Diet Coke available. If I could give less than one star, I would. Ordered from the app and it took them 25min to prepare two salads. I watched as several people who walked in after me placed their orders at the front and left with their meals before me. The roasted sweet potato and roasted brussel sprouts that were supposed to be in my salad were raw... Like completely raw, not cooked even a little bit. Came here with my sister and my mom for two create your own salads and one Mediterranean warm bowl. All of the food was pretty decent. This place has the makings of being a favorite however, my sister and I experienced rude and frazzled behavior from the staff. No one greeted us as we came in. When we walked up the lady behind the counter was very off putting, rushing us and not very communicative about the ingredients especially since this was our first time. They don't have labels for the veggies and toppings and that's not ideal for someone who is unsure what they're looking at. Another staff used in hand in a very "shoo shoo" manner, as if he was swatting a fly away to get us to move down the line even though we were still ordering and had not paid yet. I asked the lady who was making my bowl to describe or give me an idea of the house vinaigrette before putting it all over my warm bowl and she could not even give me an answer or something to compare it to. She couldn't even tell me "oh it's sweet or it's sour" I would like to come to this place again but only once they smooth the kinks out with some of the staff. read more

First time eating at this restaurant so I was unfamiliar with which"extras" and included vs an extra charge. I ordered a kids salad which includes chicken and two sides. My daughter told the employee we haven't been to a Chopt before, so one would have thought she would have told us the extra costs for sides. I see my receipt and was charged for chicken, which was included in the meal and for the bacon. I brought this to the attention of the less than kind manager who didn't like the fact he had to return my money for the chicken nor did he refund me for the bacon. Good evening, I just wanted to inform you of what horrible service and food I received from your new location at Kingstown in Alexandria VA. I ordered two chopped salads, one with ranch and one with blue cheese and added shrimp to the one with blue cheese. After ordering through DoorDash where there was not on option to take something out of the salad I called the Kingstown location to ask them to put the Avocado on the salad with ranch on the side. When I called I was told they didn't have my order and to hold on a minute. After being put on hold for TEN MINUTES where I listened to the activity in the restaurant since the lady who I was talking to must of just put the phone down rather than putting me on hold I was forced to hang up and call back. After calling back twice, the first time the phone just rang and rang, a gentleman answered and when I informed him what happened he told me that he was sorry that they were busy. As frustrated as I was I just wanted to put my request in for the avacado to be on the side to which he said he would take care of it. When I received my order I received two Cobb salsa which both had ranch on and both had avocado in as well as two avocados on the side. Both salads had shrimp in them even though I ordered only one with shrimp (my fiancé doesn't like shrimp so she was forced to pick out both the avocado and shrimp) and wouldn't you know, we both realized that there was no bacon whatsoever in either salad and a very minuscule amount of chicken. To say I am disappointed in this experience is an understatement. We have been going to your locations in DC for quite a while now and we're never put through this disappointing experience and after finally getting a location close to us, which we were very happy about, we are now anything but happy! I sincerely feel this was a waste of the $50 I paid for two salads (higher in price I understand due to third party delivery) and I am left with both a bad taste since the salads were absolutely horrible and the service was lacking to say the least. Come to think of it as I am writing this I now realize we didn't receive the pita sides we ordered with the salads as well!! Great portions--however, I sometimes feel like I don't get the double chicken I request. Despite that, I never feel unsatisfied from a Chopt salad, so it's the consistency for me. It was my first time here and, while I had looked at the menu prior to entering, I was a little stuck on salad dressings. The person preparing my salad was very patient and offered some suggestions for dressings to go with the custom salad I had ordered. Everyone was very courteous and the place seemed very clean. I liked the wood accents; the place was surprisingly pretty. The salad was fresh and so good! It's expensive but I'll get maybe two-three meals out of this alone. Great experience! We keep patronizing the Kingstowne location for now, but the quality of the food and packaging is very hit or miss. Last night was a "miss". One salad arrived with a lid that did not fit and, upon delivery, was spilling out of the container. Fortunately, I was able to rescue most of the salad. Lid just did not fit properly. This happened before on a pickup order, where salad ended up spilling all over my car due to poor packaging. That aside, my wife ordered a Classic Cobb and, no kidding, it was almost completely romaine lettuce. No blue cheese or bacon to be found. We really had to search for any other additions. We felt ripped off on that one and, of course, we could have made that at home, so my wife did not enjoy her salad. Door Dash delivery was also less than satisfactory -- did not follow instructions, left bag out in the rain; but we will take that up with Door Dash. read more
