It's been a while since we've eaten or ordered food from here. We ordered two of the bundle feasts: one with pancit and siomai and another with pancit and fried chicken. Everything was flavorful. It also didn't take too long for our order to be ready. The bundles are good for family dinners especially when you don't wanna cook for a lot of people. The only thing I wasn't super happy about is they forgot to give us sweet and sour sauce for the chicken.

I only come to Chow King for two things: the siopao and the halo-halo--so this review is just for those! The siopao is always on point. My family from Hawaii even stops by just to stock up on the frozen ones to take home, which says a lot. Consistently tasty and satisfying. I only recently tried their halo-halo, and honestly, it might be one of my favorites. I love that it comes with a little flan on top, a generous scoop of ube ice cream, and even has boba--which I know isn't traditional, but I really enjoy it, so I might be a little biased there. If you're craving these two items, this place delivers!

In town for the weekend and dropped by the mall to get a wedding gift. Food court was crazy busy and here I am at chow king. Big mistake to think it would be close to what I tried when I was traveling in Manila. First off, apparently I was not clear when I placed my order. I asked for the combo of Beef Noodle and Siopao. When I picked up my order, I asked for my drink cup and she said, I didn't order a drink. Hmmmm, but I ordered a combo. Lady said, yes you did, but that doesn't come with a drink, I'll give you a cup for water. I was floored to say the least! She was lucky I was hungry and did not have the energy to argue. I guess when you order a combo you need to verify combo with a drink. Potion extremely small. But the siopoa was good! Oh well, you can't win them all.

I ordered to go, longanisa Bangus 2 meal and tocino Bangus 1 meal but they only give me this, we always eat here with my family but this is the first time happen to me , I didn't check the bag I though it's all there but when I'm home when I take it out to the To go bag I was surprise because it's just 2 meal. The place is nice and clean though.

I love that it's located at Westfield South Center Mall. Plenty of parking and easy to find right where Seafood City and Jollibee are. Plenty of seating available but it can get pretty busy during peak meal times. When that noodle or dim sum craving hits. This is a great place. It's fast, convenient, and delicious. Great place for breakfast or a midday snack. Noodles were tasty, siopao (steamed buns with assorted filling) were tasty. Prices were reasonable. This place made me come back multiple times to try more of the menu. Service was fast and friendly. Awesome staff.

Halo Halo and Calamansi Jasmine Tea

This is a limited review. I've been to Chowking several times, and the only thing I have ever ordered is Halo Halo. Today I also ordered the Calamansi Jasmine Tea. This is one of the few places that has a Halo Halo so we come here when we have a craving. The ice can be overly chunky. The rest of the ingredients are reasonable, the typical jellies, a small square of custard, and topped with a mini scoop of ube ice cream. Nothing fancy but it's enough to quench a sweet tooth. The Calamansi Jasmine Tea was a curiously tasty combination; it's exactly as it sounds. I do recommend this over sodas. The food has never looked appetizing enough to consider. I might order the siopao, but absolutely nothing else. I'll never understand why the wait is so long and slow. Two Halo Halo and a drink was at least 15 minute wait, if not 20 minutes. Insane. These two items might be 3 Stars, with the wait, it's 2 Stars, reducing by a full star.

This place is located in South Center Mall across from Jollibee. They have a pretty interesting menu with a range of Asian food. I was curious and wanted to try some of their baos. I tried the meaty asado and bola-bola siopa. The exterior was nice and soft, and interior was ok. I felt like there wasn't much flavor to the bola-bola one. The person taking my order was very friendly.

My boyfriend was craving something other then Jollibee today, and of course he wanted me to try Chow King. I've honestly never tried it so I was so excited! The restaurant was located in the mall, and the parking wasn't so bad. It wasn't busy either, so that could've played a big factor. The restaurant was very clean & gave that Filipino restaurant feeling right from the jump. We ordered the fried chicken plate & it came with Lumpia & pancit. The lumpia was pretty good. The chicken was the star of the dish, as it was a little too greasy for my liking but it was juicy! The shopao was so yummy, I'd definitely try the others too. The halo-halo was so tempting. The service was top tier as always, Filipinos always got that down. Will be back!

The food we got was rice with mushroom beef and it was quite sweet than what we had expected it to taste like. But overall it was okay. The customer service is normal nothing special. Overall, we'll definitely come back to try different stuff.

For what we were looking for this was fine. We tried Grill City first but their breakfast stop serving at 10am and these guys served till 11am. We went with the two entree breakfast Longanisa Bangus (Pork Sausage & Milkfish. Eggs could have been a little less hard but the longanisa and fish were tasty. For the about $9.99 I believe and included a cup of coffee and garlic rice.

I had a combination plate contains: fried noodles small egg rolls 2 pcs of fried chicken egg rice plus a drink all for $10.74 I'm sorry but everything on this plate was dried and have no flavor except for the fried chicken. It was decent enough! I love food but I did not even eat the noodles and the rice Not very good carbs, not worth eating them if you are on a strict carb diet. My review is based on this one plate that I ordered. I will try other items on the menu next time to give it a better review but for now 2 stars because I was disappointed eating that plate. Dont let the picture of this place fool you. It looks good and big but actually smaller portions. its a meh for me...

There were definitely quite a few people waiting for a table. We came at just the right time. The restaurant is in Capitol Hill where there is a good variety of eateries and shops. The menu is simple which I can appreciate. My daughter got the pork ribs dry mix hand-pulled noodles, but of course we share everything and taste everything together. The noodles were a good consistency of texture and flavor. We also got the chive and pork handmade dumplings. Consistency was good, but the flavor was just okay. I ordered the fried tofu bao which I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a good choice. The fried tofu is paired with nicely seasoned chili sauce in a crispy bun. Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once. The food here is so good, though, and prices are so reasonable, that I truly do not care that the experience is pretty bare bones otherwise.

After about five minutes we decided to do the Q code and when I opened it and signed in, there was already an order placed so I ended up getting out of the booth walking up to the counter to ask about the ordering. She said she didn't clear the previous customer order and needed to delete the order that was on there so I can start one for ourselves. We got the ordering figured out they started bringing out the food. They brought the appetizers then the fried rice. We were hungry so we started eating the fried rice it was 1/2 gone when the entrees come out. They bring the items out as they are finished making them one or two at a time. They totally forgot the soup so I had to get up and ask if it was included in the Family combo. she's like oh yeah I forgot. It would have been nice if the food comes out at once or atleast 1-2 minutes after. The parking lot is small enough for about eight cars but the businesses next to it had plenty of parking so we park there and walked to the restaurant inside. Overall I give them a 4.5 because the ordering process felt a little impersonable and confusing. We didn't know what to do. I will note when we sat there waiting someone did come to take an order at a different table so I'm not sure if they just pick and choose who they want to personally ask. Idk
