He had been eyeing the F.A.V Fique online, so since we were in the area, I suggested we stop by. We were greeted by Rodolfo, and let me tell you, he was an absolute gem. Helpful, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the visit worthwhile. Unfortunately, they didn't have my husband's size in stock. Stock here can be a hit or miss--but the service never is. Before we left, Rodolfo shared his direct contact for the boutique, which I really appreciated. Sure enough, a day and a half later, I followed up. This time, it was my turn--I finally went for the Marchacroche Duna boots I'd been eyeing for months. The next day, I called the store and spoke with the manager, Liam Tran, hoping to address the situation. Located on the third floor of South Coast Plaza outside Nordstrom's and across from Oscar de la Renta, this is a small boutique mostly featuring their iconic styles of high heels and a variety of other shoes. The location is small, which means they can only let in a very limited number of customers at a time during these times. (I believe there was 4 maximum when I got in line this past weekend.) After making a quick return at Nordstrom's, I decided to check out the boutique to avoid the downpour of rain. There was a good-sized line outside with visible markers to show 6 ft in the line and everyone seemed to be following them, thankfully. Eventually a clerk came out to check on people in the line and to answer their questions, while the customers inside began to wrap up their purchases. When she got to me, she immediately told me they did not carry the ballet flats that resemble a pointe shoe. (They only carry the pointed toe flats.) She was kind to offer to check if any of their other stores or retailers in the US offered them and she quickly went back inside to grab her phone. It was cool - she pulled up the finder app for the brand on her phone and showed that they were mostly sold out, due to the popularity of the style. She guessed these were seasonal and not going to be restocked. I did ask her honest opinion about sizing with the flats and she explained that it varies from style to style. She concluded that she didn't want to mislead me with information for the style of flat I'm looking for, but she confirmed the pointed toe flats they offer are usually small. I asked if she could recommend a local cobbler/repair person for their shoes and she gave me the business card. (I own a pre-loved pair of their heels but considered getting the heel taps replaced, along with some leather repair on the heel.) Loubs are known for being more about fashion than function, and most styles are pretty uncomfortable. However, the Follies Strauss are very comfortable, even in a high 100 mm stiletto heel height. This is due to the mesh material, which allows for stretch. They look and feel like real life glass slippers, adorned with shimmering crystals and a laminated suede heel. Anyways, this particular Christian Louboutin is located at the South Coast Plaza, specifically on the 3rd floor next door to Nordstrom. On my day off today, I decided to make the drive down to South Coast Plaza to make a return on a pair of shoes at Saks. Since I was here, I decided to stop by a few other stores, one of which was Christian Louboutin. I was hoping to find something left of their sale (just a FYI, but Christian Louboutin has a sale twice a year. One around the June-July and the other November- December). Janice, the sales associate behind the counter, greeted me when I first came in and showed me the area of what remained of the sales items. Since this is towards the end of the sale (the sale will be ending in a few days), I was very pleased to find a beautiful pair of shoes that is still in my size (I never get lucky with sales because they always run out in my size). Janice was very helpful at bringing out the shoes, taking out all of the paper and putting it down on the floor for me to try. She also suggested that I try the shoes on the hardwood floor and not just the red carpet. We made small talk as I walked around the store to get a feel for these new shoes. I ended up decided to take these beauties (Janice packed up my shoes for me back in the box) and proceeded to the counter to pay for them. Janice tied on a pretty red ribbon on the box and rang up my transaction. And we wrapped up our conversation. Overall, I had a great experience on this shopping trip and look forward to the next one here at this location. I ordered the patent black New Prive (red toe) over the phone and they kindly gave me a call a few days after letting me know that they're in. I walked into this store, in an upper floor of South Coast Plaza. The place is clean, and nicely decorated. Lining the place are their famous red-bottom shoes of many varieties. A sales lady approached me within seconds of walking in. All I had was the size, but not a style or color in mind. The sales lady gave me some recommendations, but I left it entirely in her hands to pick the best options. Fast forward a few days, it turned out that the sales lady was spot on. The certain someone getting these shoes was pleased, and the shoes fit her perfectly. This is saying something, as apparently many buyers of these shoes tend to buy a size too small their first time around. This is a nice store.
