I came here today with my friend Dianne because she was raving about the breakfast bagels. It was about 2 o'clock so I was surprised they were still selling them. Basically, they make them until there aren't any bagels left. They open super early and don't close until 5 pm. I got the bacon and egg in a jalapeno bagel. The jalapeno bagel is delicious! I usually like onion/garlic bagels but the jalapeno bagel was really really good. They have 2 kinds of breakfast bagels, one with bacon and egg, and another one with cheese. However, they put cheese in mine anyway. Most people would love this, but I hate cheese, so I scraped my cheese off. So to all the non-cheese lovers or lactose kids, make sure you tell them you don't want cheese in it. Nonetheless, I was completely diggin' my breakfast bagel at 2 in the afternoon. The egg was cooked perfectly and bacon is always delicious! I got my breakfast bagel and a Snapple drink for $5 even. So down! I'll definitely be back for more breakfast bagels and I want to try the custard filled donut holes too! The ladies who worked there were really nice and our food came out pretty quickly. People were NOT joking on the reviews when they said they run out of things early... I should've expected that visiting around lunch time when they open a little before the crack of dawn. I mainly came here for the CUSTARD DONUT holes. They had about 100 left so I got 8 for myself. The sweet lady threw in an extra one (as everyone says as well). I also ordered the chocolate cruller and the glazed donut. Those were just mediocre! I really enjoyed my custard donut holes though. I've never had custard donuts before so I had pretty high expectations. I liked the fact that the custard wasn't overly sweet. It meshed well and tasted delicious together! I'm a pretty late breakfast eater, so one day I was craving donuts around 12 noon. I wasn't expecting a whole lot to be there considering how late it was, but they have A LOT. There's a bunch of different donuts to choose from, they have sandwiches to choose from, croissants, donut holes, donut holes with jelly, drinks, smoothies, etc. The sandwiches are so-so. I've been going to this donut shop for more years than I can remember...over 15 years for sure. It's still owned/run by the same couple. The chocolate glaze here is excellent, whether it's on a raised, old fashioned or regular cake donut. My favorite is the cake donut with chocolate and coconut on top. My mom has been coming here every week for the 15+ years that I can remember, and while there are other donut shops closer to her, she only goes to Christy's. The croissants are also quite good. Whenever I come here, it's to satisfy my sweet tooth. The jelly filled donut holes are pretty dope, so I always end up getting a dozen. I'm not really a fan of custard filled anything, but I gave the plain custard and chocolate custard holes a shot and was pretty satisfied. I tried the ham and cheese croissant sandwich and it was pretty filling for its price. I also ordered a large coffee and underestimated the size of it. But for its price they sure give you a ton of drink. In a single visit, I once ordered a dozen holes and a coffee and may have exceeded my caloric intake, but that was my mistake. Christy Donuts is the place to be first thing in the morning! My family and I have been going here since early 90's. Their mocha's are way too delicious! Forget about starbucks, this place is legit. A dingy, soiled, hole in the wall Vietnamese donut place. It's cash only (I mean come on, it's 2019 and you don't accept credit or debit??), so I had to pay a $3 fee to withdraw cash from the third party ATM that is located in the store (on top of the fee that my bank is going to charge me). The ham, egg and cheese croissant was decent but it was mostly croissant, with very little ham, egg and cheese. They added water to the Sriracha to stretch it, you could tell. The donut "holes" were good. Quit cutting corners and update and clean your store and maybe I'll be back. read more

I'm a fool for a good ol' Glazed Raised and my ultra fave, Glazed French Cruller, which many donut shops don't make. Maybe it's just too high maintenance of a donut? Yeah, yeah, you are what you eat, I know. :) At any rate, I tried out Christy Donuts and way cool that they actually make French Crullers! So, of course I tried one and a Glazed Raised. The FC was disappointing. Instead of possessing that look of regality, such as a mini crown, this FC was kind of flat, maybe this FC was dethroned? Also, it was light and when I took a bite into it, it was quite hollow, there was barely anything to chew on. So sad. Their Glazed Raised however was quite decent. It was perfectly glazed and totally raised, hence the name. The size of the donut was maybe on the smaller side than your usual donut but, it tasted delcious. Overall, good donuts, just avoid their Crullers...Vasy's in Fremont or Donut Basket in Milpitas have got it down!! read more

I bought a mix of a dozen cake donuts ranging from coconut topping to chocolate with sprinkles. I also bought the custard filled donut holes and chocolate filled donut holes. Bought these for some co-workers after a friend brought them to a party. Overall all the donuts were good, but by far I am a chocolate addict and I have to say that the chocolate filled donut holes are so creamy and yummy I would consider waking up super early driving from Hayward to get these puppies. This place is tucked away in the corner of the starbucks plaza. It's easily missed if one isn't looking into each store, but the find is amazing. I've been going here since i started my nursing program at SJSU. Being that I live a minute away, it's always convenient and always serving piping hot coffee. This is a family owned business and you can tell on the tired faces of the owners that they work hard to keep the business up and running. They have a variety of donuts, all of them are delish. I am also a fan of their sandwiches. It tastes homey, not like subway or anything else. You uses a lot of meat and they make it like i would if i made it at home. However, don't you find that it's better when someone else makes it? Anyways, most of my stops consists of a bagel (OMG these are HUGE BAGELS and they're the same price as you would find any other donut shop) and a cup of Kona coffee. Like i said, the coffee is hot and they don't provide the sleeve, so be careful! I would say that the only down side to this place is that it takes cash only. like most small business, they want the cash and not deal with credit. This is a place where you can go for your daily morning fix for: 1. donuts 2. breakfast croissant sandwiches 3. Coffee 4. and Cigarettes (Yes, Stogs!) I used to live down the street from this place and used to get my morning fixes before I go to class during college days. I give the chocolate donut holes 4 rubs on my belly. I can buy a dozen or two of these and just snack on them throughout the day (I know i'm bad). The breakfast croissants are tasty but they're a bit greasy so I only give them 3 rubs. I stopped buying them because they would always fall out of the grease-soaked paper bag and ends up on the ground. Coffee is your average "cup of joe" so I just get a small bottle of orange juice. In east coast they call donut holes aka munchkins. Anyways, loved these little sweet delights. They are not overly sweet and fried just right. I think they even taste better than Krispy Kreme and has the same caliber if not better than Dunkin Donuts in the East Coast. My co-worker brought some in to us at work and my favorites were creme custard ones in the middle of the munchkin. This is the familiar neighborhood donut shop. Seems to have a lot of regulars (which sometimes includes a nice amigo selling DVDs from his bicycle just around the corner outside). I randomly went here since ones closer to me was closed.However The two that on the store are a funny couple, Telling customers they wake up early crying to make the donuts sincere old now I thought it was funny. however I got donut holes and they were actually pretty good they taste it light I can't describe it but if you had donuts from happy donuts they don't know hose has a different flavor and these donuts taste lighter which I liked personally I got glazed I didn't want anything field in my doughnut but the glaze donut hoes was good.
