Went in for our wedding anniversary dinner! Just wanted to highlight their amazing customer service. ( as a same sex couple we don't know what to expect interms of how "LGBTQ friendly" an establishment will be). With our experience we were delighted as first timers! The host Jennifer greeted us happily and wished us a Happy Wedding Anniversary! We felt welcomed and she took the time to answer and break down how CC's dining tiers worked. As for our Server Ferni did an amazing job cooking our specialty meats and making sure we had everything we needed. The high energy personality and accommodation made the experience even better. The dining is timed and you can order up to 10 items every 7 min but we never felt rushed and there's plenty of time to eat and enjoy. As for the food WOW we went with the gold tier for our family of 3. It's worth it. No frozen meat and all the self serve options are great! High quality meats, sushi and sides. Our faves included the wagyu steak, top blade, and our son loved the wagyu sliders! They offer specials for a membership and Ferni explained all the perks! I highly recommend on getting the membership and take advantage of any offers they have that month. We're excited to come back again! Please note some items may be sold out by dinner time, so next time we're going for lunch next time. :)
Stopped here tonight with the family. It was my first time here and I must say this place was amazing. My compadre was the one who showed me this place and we decided to finally try it tonight. The food: 1000/1000 we went with the gold option and it was amazing. So many wonderful cuts of Waygu beef and the recommendations from our server were great: we also had the sides and I must say the Waygu burger was so good, I can see why it would run out really fast. The deserts were so good and lots of amazing options. I enjoyed the unlimited beverages as well. Service: top notch service, our server was Tyler and he went above and beyond for our party. He made sure our experience was an excellent one. He was kind, courteous and you can tell he takes pride in his work. The inside was very nice and clean, this used to be another restaurant back in the days so it was nice to come back to my old stepping grounds. Drove over 60 miles to come here and I will definitely be coming back. Thank you Tyler for the hospitality.
Chubby Cattle is a place of variety, indulgence and quality, a good treat. You can eat self prepared BBQ meats and refreshing sushi options at the same time. Obviously the quality is great, they have many premium options including waygu beef all you can eat. The service was good from our host, positive attitude and welcoming, until he started to mention their membership and if we wanted to join five times after saying no. Earlier we called to get information before arriving and they can't even have a staff member answer the call, an AI bot was struggling to assist and answer our questions. Everything is ordered on a tablet. The amount of self service at this restaurant is nauseating, considering the price to dine in. You can order every 7 minutes until time is up. Ambiance is active and the upbeat music playlist is about at a medium volume. The experience is streamlined to get you in and out, I was not a fan of the constant badgering to join their membership, especially at checkout. There is an egregious amount of self service that could be handled by staff, for the price range, having everyone run around each other to grab drinks and grab items from the cold bar and other self service areas is strange. Located on the first floor by Target at the Topanga mall, parking in the structure.
Last night me and my boyfriend wanted to get KBBQ and we're deciding between a place in West Hills and here. We ultimately decided to try Chubby Cattle because of the extra things that come with it, especially the dessert station. Our server was really attentive and friendly despite having to go through 3 iPads because each one did not work. It made ordering longer which was frustrating because you only get a certain amount of time to order. The meat itself was pretty good and the sushi was alright. What was the most disappointing was that the reason why we chose this place - the dessert station, was completely empty. We asked three different people and waited twenty minutes and there was still absolutely nothing in it. It was unfair to pay the whole price for something that did not include the whole package. It seems like this happens a lot to and for this reason, I wouldn't trust it enough to pay for the whole thing upfront and not get the entire menu offered.
I got the gold tier, it was a nice option to try the "tasting experience" as it was our first time, but honestly could have done without it. This place is more on the pricier side, but for the silver tier, it's a solid opt. There were a few items on the menu that we tried that we did not like at all, it had to be taken away lol but there were a lot of items we did enjoy! Our server nick was knowledgeable and friendly. This is a type of restaurant where you order through the tablet and the food comes to your table, the server does come around often to check in on you and to change the grills. Jasper was also really good at taking away any of our empty/ dirty dishes every time he dropped off food. When I first arrived, I was trying to get the host attention so that I could get checked in but she is not welcoming and bit rude. She is constantly looking down at her tablet then walking away. Then just calls whoever is next on the tablet, not acknowledging anyone new coming in! Me and another guest were so confused we had to flag her down to get checked in which is so odd. I've never been to a restaurant where a host made us feel like we are an inconvenience to her!! Anyway,after we did check in, we had to wait another 20 mins or so for our table to be ready. Lowkey being added to the wait yourself vs reservation seems like the same wait time which defeats the purpose of a reservation.
As a huge fan of Chubby Cattle, I am incredibly disappointed to say that this specific location has been a miss ever since it opened. I've given it three chances now, and each visit has been a poor experience. After my most recent visit, I felt compelled to finally write a review. We ordered the highest tier (Diamond), expecting a premium experience, but our server, Kai, was completely rude and unprofessional. Throughout the night, he barely checked on us or cleared our plates. Instead, he repeatedly approached our table just to scold us about having only 30 minutes left. When last call approached, we placed a larger order to wrap up our meal. Kai came over and lectured us about the size of the order, warning us that we would have to pay for leftovers even though we ended up finishing absolutely everything. When we tried to put in one final item before the system even shut down, he arbitrarily told us he was canceling it because we "couldn't order anymore." It is incredibly frustrating to be paying customers spending over $600, only to be spoken to so disrespectfully about ordering food during valid service hours. To top it off, after dropping off the check and taking our payment, we went to get dessert. Kai approached us yet again and told us we needed to leave, essentially kicking us out of the restaurant. We've been to so many Chubby concepts and never have once been treated like this.
We've been here a total of two times and each time has been amazing! We had Nick and Kai serving us and they've been amazing. Always checking in on us, making sure we get the best service, and just vibed with them. They're so easy to chat up. It's more expensive than your AYCE experience but it's really worth it especially for special occasions. It's a sit down upscale JBBQ spot and while I love their meats, I think about their lobster roll, Wagyu slider, and carpaccio the most alongside their unlimited milk tea and egg tarts. Next time we come, we hope we get to run into Nick and Kai again! They both work really hard and the quality of their service definitely shows.
We were here a couple months ago, and tonight we are back to celebrate my hubby's birthday...and yes, I'm happy happy to say service is 100% on point, super nice and helpful. I also learned tonight, just in case if you were wondering...On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays it is only Walk-In no reservations...wait time varies, but Mon thru Thursday you can make reservations and also do walk-in's. We still love the choices from the digital menu, and totally enjoyed the birthday jingle surprise!! OH! I love love their Earl Grey roll cake!! I had 2 slices!! (Gasp)! It's totally fun inside! I love the interior designs.
Delicious food and stellar service! Absolutely worth the wait and the price. This was my first time dining at Chubby Cattle, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. There's a variety of meat to choose from, from rich and savory wagyu to thinner briskets. All meat is very high quality cuts, taste amazing even without sauce. The sushi was just OK to me. Some of the rice was undercooked and so randomly crunchy in some parts, and the taste of the fish was just acceptable. The hand rolls were pretty good, though. Love the assortment of sides and appetizers to choose from, and the self service drinks, salads, desserts, and sides. There's even dim sum! And the slushies are so good. I actually didn't like the milk tea much, too creamy and sweet for me, but YMMV. There's just so much to eat and drink here, and the portions are just right. Loved the ambiance and the service. The only drawback was the wait time (quite long on a weekend for lunch) and the fact that it got super smoky in the area we sat. Even the restrooms were noticeably smoky. However, our table and others in the area were moved to a section with significantly better ventilation. It seems like ventilation could be a recurring issue here, but they also seem to be aware of it and can shift your table somewhere better if it gets too smoky. Overall, highly recommend this place!
Chubby Cattle in Woodland Hills, located inside the Westfield Topanga Mall, is a super fun and elevated Korean BBQ-style experience featuring Japanese wagyu. It's easy to get to, on the bottom floor, next to Target. It gets super busy, so make sure to go super early to put your name down. Oh! And make sure you come hungry. The atmosphere is modern, lively, and upscale compared to your typical KBBQ. You're given a set dining time, and there's also a 7-minute window in which you can place each order, which can feel a little stressful at first since you're trying to decide, order, cook, and eat all at once. I took a few pictures but we probably had 30 more plates and with the time constraints, it was hard! We went with the Silver Tier, and it was amazing. The quality of the meat was excellent, especially the Japanese wagyu, which was rich, tender, and full of flavor. Everything we ordered tasted high quality and well worth it. There's also a walk-up area where you can grab extras like fresh vegetables, curry, soup, corn/sweet potato with cheese, desserts, and even a wagyu hamburger, which we heard was delicious. The milk teas were also really good and a nice pairing with the meal. The experience can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but our server Tyler was incredible. He helped us put in our first order, gave great recommendations, and made sure we understood how everything worked. His attentiveness really made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Overall, Chubby Cattle is a unique, high-quality wagyu BBQ experience that's definitely worth trying. Just be ready for a fast-paced start - and if you get Tyler, you're in great hands! Chubby Cattle is beautifully decorated, well serviced, and has delicious food. I probably won't go again. The good - all the food was fresh with plenty of variety. Buffet options were great too. There a rice machine that serves exactly the amount of rice you want, like R2D2 scooping your portion. I really liked the wagu stew and all the meats. I would skip the sushi. The bad - the dining experience, while fun, was not relaxing at all. There is a timer that counts down like a game show, ticking time bomb. When the timer finishes, you order your limited number of dishes and the timer stars again. It feels like a game show to maximize your orders rather than tasting a variety of beautifully aged fatty meats. The restaurant itself is clean but very congested. I would recommend checking it out, but I'll be making return trips to the chubby cattle in Vegas
I love k bbq but this was a different experience than most others! The meat is so fresh. Love that Yu can see them prep it. The sides are all self serve and have many options from soups to fruits. Your price includes a drink and desserts as well. Besides the meats, the wagyu burger was delicious! Service was excellent. Everyone was friendly . Ordering is self done on a tablet. It was loud and busy. So can tell it's good food! For a place like this I expect ut to be loud.
Did I forget to post a review? My partner and I were back for the fourth(?) time tonight, and it was reliably good! The photos are from a previous visit, so items might be different now... I was too hungry to think about updating pictures during today's visit. We go for the gold menu when we bring someone for the first time (to really enjoy a bit of the nicer cuts), but when we're just there to enjoy some grilled meat by ourselves, we're happy with the silver. Today, we got the gold and had the A5 short rib and the A5 top blade for the special meats. The short rib was probably what we enjoyed more today, but the top blade was solid, too. The top blade was seasoned with a soy(?)-based sauce, and it looks like it has a bit of grated daikon on top. It's cut thin, and our server, Lewis, was kind enough to cook it for us - it gets cooked on one side, then gets rolled up and cut into four pieces. It finishes cooking with residual heat. The short rib just has the nicely marbled meat shine on its own (smaller, thicker cut pieces - not super thick though). Both were good, but just depends on what you prefer. Our party also got the scallop and unagi. I don't eat much seafood, but my partner enjoyed both. He got the scallop twice! It had some minced garlic and a little pat of butter on each scallop. He ended up asking for some unagi sauce (thanks, Lewis!), and that made the grilled unagi perfect for him. We always get a number of different ayce items, but we can hardly keep track of which is which. We usually make sure to get the A5 brisket and short rib, but otherwise, it just depends on what we (and our party) feel like trying. It's always nice to be able to grab rice, miso soup, kimchi (particularly solid today), seaweed salad, corn cheese, vegetables, fruit, swiss rolls, milk tea, etc. from the self-serve area. We noticed the salad is now here, too, rather than being an item to order. Despite how busy it seemed, our server Lewis did a great job of giving an intro for our first-time guest (my mom!), checking on us, helping us grill the special meats (so we didn't overcook those ones!), and applying our membership and NFT discounts correctly. (Actually, I think he was our server during our first visit, too, and he was just as energetic and eager to help today as he was then!) The solid food, service, and experience have made this one of our newer go-to spots for a nice dinner that's in the valley! read more

Shout out to Anthony A. for being the best server ever! We have been to the Monterey Park location but Anthony's customer service is what makes Topanga location shine! He is so friendly and courteous, he made our experience a smooth and great one. The wagyu meats did melt in our mouth and we kept the nigiri orders coming! My personal fave was the seared salmon nigiri. The vibes were very fast paced and all the sides as well as dessert were there for you to choose from. Came to Chubby Cattle Topanga fully prepared to wait 2-3 hours since it was prime dinner time. We arrived around 6:30 PM and mentally accepted our fate... but surprise--we only waited 10-15 minutes and got called almost right away Service was excellent from the start--staff was friendly, attentive, and super efficient. Once we were seated, the food came out FAST, which is always a win when you're starving. Meats were high quality, nicely presented, and everything arrived hot and fresh. My first time at Chubby Cattle was amazing! We didn't have a reservation so we arrived a bit early before opening (12pm) on a Sunday lunch and there was a line already forming. Thankfully we were able to be seated shortly after the restaurant opened. They offer 3 tiers, with discounts for Chubby cattle members: diamond ($88 non-member/$75 member), gold ($78 non-member/$65 member) and silver ($58 non member/$50 member). They are quite strict with their 90 min dining limit. We ended up going with the gold tier and the meats were top-notch and soo yummy! I didn't realize they would have fish options like carpaccios too! The ambiance is great and the service was so attentive and helpful throughout our meal! I love how there's a sauce station, the wide variety of sides, warm options like the wagyu sliders (a must!) and dumplings, and desserts (loved the matcha crepe cake and egg tarts but sadly did not like the matcha mochi). Drinks like milk teas and slushies are included! Dining at Chubby Cattle is truly an experience - can't wait to come back! read more

First time doing AYCE Wagyu here. We got the Chubby Cattle Plus membership (Gold tier) and let's just say--it's 100% worth it for the quality and how much you can actually eat. You're not limited at all and everything feels premium. I really liked the self-service setup too. Being able to grab your own milk teas, desserts, and slushies whenever you want just makes the whole experience better--and everything actually tasted good, not just filler. If you like sushi, you have to try the Wagyu nigiri. So good. Honestly all of their nigiri hit--no complaints there. Also, Cid was our server and he was amazing. Helped us cook the Wagyu at the start so we didn't mess it up, which we needed lol. Super attentive, really nice, and just on top of everything the whole time. Easy five stars for him. I'm so excited that they opened up a Chubby Cattle in my neck of the woods. It's such a great high end AYCE wagyu beef KBBQ spot. It's definitely a treat meal, but one worth the price. I also want to say the only other location I've been to is the Little Tokyo location and this one blows it outta the water. It offers way more items for sides/drinks, the space is much larger, and the theming just feels more thought out. I'm so glad I don't need to go to downtown anymore. Especially knowing how different the experience would be. I'm not sure if it's because it's relatively new, but when we went, they weren't allowing reservations so I got in line about 10 minutes prior to opening. There were 2 parties in front of me & by the time they opened, there were easily 10 parties in line overall. I hope they open this place to reservations in the future (if they haven't already). Once we were seated in the back corner (felt odd, but whatever), Kent treated us perfectly. I have no complains. Even after letting him know I had been to a different Chubby Cattle location but my wife & I had plenty of KBBQ experience, he still often came by & offered to cook everything for us. I won't complain there. The restaurant itself is somewhat dark. I appreciated it because it did somewhat feel like it was a more intimate dining experience. I also appreciated that they didn't have the traditional grill exhausts over the table which often blocks the view of the people across the way. And the touch screen ordering system was intuitive and helpful to let us order at our convenience. The meats themselves are all so tender and juicy. But they're so fatty so don't go in expecting to eat as much meat as you would at a more traditional KBBQ joint. But that's not a complaint. I just wish I had more room to enjoy all of the offerings they have at their sides area. Everything looked so good. I will, however, say the wagyu burger just tastes like a McDonald's burger. I'd skip it. Everything else? Fantastic. Chubby Cattle really is something that should be experienced. Especially if you are a KBBQ fan. Is It worth the membership that I signed up for to get the free Japanese Waygu item? I'm honestly not sure. We came here around 1pm and were seated immediately, which was a great start. The service was relatively quick and friendly overall, though you can tell this is a newer location and the staff are still working through some learning curves. That said, there weren't any major service issues worth complaining about. Unfortunately, the food was where this location fell short. I'm not sure if it's Wagyu fatigue or an actual difference in quality, but the food here simply didn't live up to the Chubby Cattle Little Tokyo location that we usually frequent. A prime example was the cheese corn -- it was old and dry, likely from being stored under a heater. At the Little Tokyo location, the cheese corn is made fresh upon request and cooked directly on the grill, which makes a noticeable difference in both texture and flavor. Another concerning moment was on our way out, when we saw a large amount of salmon piled on top of each other on a tray sitting out at the counter. I'm not sure how this aligns with food safety standards, but it was definitely unsettling. After eating the salmon sashimi, one member of our party did experience an upset stomach later that day, which only added to the concern. Overall, this location left much to be desired. While the service was decent and the seating was fast, the food quality and handling did not match expectations. For now, I would honestly stick to the Little Tokyo location. read more

One of my fav and got the plus membership which I think is worth it. For all my visits, everyone was nice and quick to help, really appreciate the service. My top order recomm are top blades (both kinds!), short plate, A5 lean meat. However, the new menu item uni mentaiko is bit disappointing. It makes me question whether if it's real uni or not but either way it tastes bitter and I didn't finish :( Please bring back the radish paper!! read more

If you're a fan of premium wagyu and unforgettable dining experiences, Chubby Cattle inside Topanga Mall is about to blow your mind. This was easily one of the best meals I've had. They offer three different tiers, and we went with the Gold tier, which unlocks an unreal lineup of specialty meats. What truly makes this location stand out are the self-serving stations--miso soup, dumplings, an A5 wagyu burger station, and so much more. A big shoutout to Atlas and Nichole for a wonderful service. They were both so friendly, so healthy and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Chubby Cattle never misses. They popping up everywhere now, and this one is the closest to me by far, so that's a win already. Came after 5pm on a Friday. Wait was about 20 mins. Not bad at all. Not as huge as Rowland Heights, but still plenty of seating. Service was on point. They kept flipping the meat for us. Always checking in. The curry? Delicious. Then that wagyu beef burger on display ... wow. Juicy. Addictive. Straight fire. I know I didn't come for a burger, but I had to get a second one ..lol Colorful soup dumplings were kinda weird to me, not gonna lie. But all the other dumplings were solid. Meat was nice and fatty, melts in your mouth. Sushi was superb. Rice ratio was a little heavy, but not a deal breaker. Ended strong with fruits, egg tarts, and ice cream. Food coma hit hard at the end lol. Also saw some familiar faces working here from Gen KBBQ, so that was cool. read more

Went in on a Thursday night with a reservation for 4. Let me first acknowledge that our server Cid was very helpful, super nice, friendly and attentive. Because of him, I gave a 20% tip out of the 4 diamond meals we had. That's over $434.55 for 4 people. Now for the food - the Wagyu selection is not really AYCE. you only get 2 Wagyu premium meats per person. The photo attached is the Wagyu for 4 people - max order. The rest of regular cuts are AYCE. In addition, you can only order 10 items every 7 minutes. The buffet bar is for the sauces and sides, corn, rice, and dumplings. There's a soft serve ice cream, and self serve soda machine. They DO NOT serve alcohol here. Not even a beer to go with the meats. They do not allow a bottle of wine either because they don't have a liquor license. For the ambience - it was super loud. The busboys were throwing dirty plates at every corner where they have the dirty carts. It was like having broken loud dishes sound the entire night. I had better expectations in terms of cleanliness as well. The floors were sticky. The 90% + of the crowd were young college kids age group. The entire experience is not the same as a good bbq in k-town. If you're expecting for a nice experience like niku x - this is not the place. 5 steps below that. It's not for everyone. The meat quaity here is amazing, I was a little hesitant when my friend suggested this place because of the price but it was well worth it. They have a 3 tier AYCE menu, the difference between silver and gold is you get 1 order of a few of the top choice meats in the gold tier, diamond i believe comes with 2 orders of the top cuts. The service was fantastic, being our first time here we got a clear explanation of the tier prices and choices, and how to order. We liked everything we order, with this being our first visit i couldn't remember everything we tried, but pretty much every type of brisket and short rib they had on the menu were exceptional, they also have sushi and carpaccio. The Australian brisket cut and yellow tail carpaaccio were my favorites on the menu. According to our service they take reservations through Yelp, but either the recent dates were full/not avilable or it's not fully set up since we were able to pick a time. The resturant is on the first floor of the topanga mall near the target next to the garage parking lot. We showed up right around 5 when they reopened for dinner to put our name on the list. The line to get on the list was pretty long, i think we waited about 15 minutes to get added to the list, then about 10 minutes later we got the text to come over and be seated, once we got inside it was maybe 10 more minutes waiting near the host area before we actually got seated. I waited at least 1.5-2hrs to get inside with my boyfriend. Once we got seated, I noticed that we got seated at a shared booth. It was uncomfortable sitting on the inside of the booth since there's a weird blockage that completely made me feel stuck. We compared the sets and decided on the diamond set. We ordered the wagyu and uni with caviar, the otoro, and many more! Everything was soooo buttery and yummy! I really loved the sauce that came with the veggie set. I would however avoid the sushi. The fish didn't taste fresh and we left it as is after we ate a piece or two. The carpaccio was also lacking in freshness and flavor. We will definitely come back! We were so excited to check out this chubby, finally one closer to us! You have to join a guest list if you want to walk in but you can join via yelp too. 5 stars for Rhenar!!!! He was lovely and truly great service, even if it wasn't his fault the kitchen was a little slow bringing out the meats/ sushi. The restaurant was ok... a lot of drinks weren't working, a lot of empty shelves especially the dessert section. It really didn't feel brand new. It's quite small FYI! Don't bring a stroller it won't fit (they will take it from you at the front) but luckily we had the car seat and it could fit on the chair. The desserts weren't great. The Pepsi tasted weird. BUT if you're there for the meat like we were it's always a great experience and really delicious. I personally love the miso wagyu and the wagyu nigiri so scrumptious. Absolute game changer for the Valley! I am so glad we finally have a Chubby Cattle out here. I've been coming here a ton lately, whether it's for date night with my husband or just hanging out with a group of friends, and it always hits the spot. Honestly, we used to drive all the way out to DTLA or SGV just to get high-quality food and an experience like this. It is such a relief to skip that brutal traffic and have a go-to spot right in our neighborhood. For the food, the meat quality is always phenomenal. Everything is incredibly fresh, well-marbled, and flavorful. Every single cut we've tried has been amazing. The service is also super fast, friendly, and attentive. Even when they are packed, the staff does a great job making sure you have everything you need without feeling rushed. As for the ambiance, the whole vibe inside is great. Honestly every time I go to any Chubby location, I leave feeling guilty cause you get way more than what you pay for. The price is insane for the quality of the meats and all the foods. Came here for the first time tonight for a dinner with a friend. Have to say the parking was easy, since it's a mall. The hostess was very nice and explained everything to us since it was our first time, it was a bit of information overload, but thankfully our serves Joseph explained some of the information again. The grill we sat at did have an issue of turning out, but Joseph was very attentive and helpful. The food was very delicious and felt fresh and good quality compared to some other kbbq I've tried in the area. I also have to give them credit on the air quality, since it was not Smokey like some other places. Great experience and great service. read more

The meat was good quality but I wasn't fond of the sushi, it was pasty tasting and cut way too thick but there is a lot of wagu selections which is nice and the kimchi tasted really fresh which is important to me. The milk tea is nice and sweet and I saw something that looked like dumplings that looked authentic and yummy. I'll try it next time. Been to the Little Tokyo location and was excited to try this new location, which was honestly such a huge disappointment. The number one was mainly the quality of meat that so far below the quality the other location had. We were excited to try the bar that had more side dishes and they did not even refill and were unable to try, which made us more disappointed even more. The price was definitely not worth coming here. We came on a monday night at 6pm and wait for over two hours, by the time it was our turn we were rushed to put in our last call orders. It felt very crowded and stuffy in there as well, which made the experience even less enjoyable. The positive part is the service, the servers were able to manage the crowd well and clear dishes so fast. Though there is a lot of action going on they took the time to explain the menu. We can put in the orders in the tablet, which made it convenient to put in more orders. The quality of the fish for sushi,nigiri,carpaccio were good. I don't understand how there are so many positive reviews but this visit might have been a bad night. I'm also not sure if the other reviews are legitimate. But here is my honest opinion of this location which I highly recommend to avoid and do the extra drive to Little Tokyo instead. read more

Good, but a bit overrated. Our server was great -- he was super friendly and helpful. We got the premium option, and some of the premium meat was great. The price to quality ratio is pretty good, which is the reason I gave it 4 stars. It's hard to find another KBBQ type of place in the LA area that has pretty high quality and a decent price as well. The regular meat was good, but not great either -- I was expecting a little more. I would return, but I wouldn't want to wait that long. read more

I was craving Japanese bbq and I've been to Chubby Cattle in Little Tokyo before but Since I I lived in the valley and don't feel like go to that side of LA this time,So I brought my husband to Westfield Topanga mall to try this Chubby Cattle for the first time here for both of us and here is what I think. Food : Quality is great! We are Wagyu lover and we can tell if the restaurant claim that they use Wagyu and they didn't,Obviously we can tell this Chubby Cattle they sure did serve Wagyu for sure! It's melt in your mouth.You can really taste the quality of the meat.All those side dish are good as well.Self serve Miso soup was a good choice and fountain sodas always my favorite drinks and for milk tea lover they sure do have milk tea for you as well.They do have self serve dipping sauce and my goto was ponzu with chilli and green onion I think. It's downstairs. Where Gyu Kaku used to be. They're open now but the close for a few hours between lunch & dinner services. No bar.
Where to waitlist?
You have to go there in person to do it. If they aren't busy, a person will take your name and number, if they are busy, iPad is there at the entrance
