I came here based on yelp reviews. I'm glad I came here for dinner. Family owned. Breakfast was delish and the Patty melt was so hot and fresh. I will be back especially because the price point is beyond reasonable . The server is a sweetheart and served me well.... ya'all go to Chubby's! 2x2x2x2 $10 or so... This is my first time here. Pancakes are perfect.. they felt like they were gonna be a bit heavy, but after first bite... wow. I am just impressed. Eggs over medium are actually over medium for the first time in history.. I highly recommend this restaurant. Appears to be only two older gentleman as waiters and the food comes out extremely fast and everybody's very friendly. This place is a must. Went there this morning after a trip to Denio's. It's a small classic American diner with exactly the kind of menu of burgers and salads and breakfast staples you would expect. Service was good, they were busy but handling everything well. Honestly the issue was the food just lacked flavor. Basic salt and pepper on the food made it a good deal better but it was still just really bland. They had a few kinds of hot sauce but I was pounding Cholula on the food and it just tasted like hot sauce. I had the corned beef hash. My wife had eggs and potatoes. Both dishes were just flavorless and bland. The service was pretty good. Prices were maybe $1-2 more than I would have wanted to pay but certainly not bad. read more

Firstly love the ambiance- has that old school American diner feel with friendly service and the decor gives it a sense of character. I ordered 2 eggs over easy with bacon, potatoes, and avocado, and skipped the toast that comes with it, and my husband got a burger. We were both very happy with what we received, really hit the spot! Their ranch is also really good - gotta try that with the fries. Glen was the guys name by the way. We were treated so well here. I could not have asked for better service. Not a whole lot of tables or places to eat though. Even so we did not wait long to be seated. No hash browns!!! My only true complaint is that there were no hash browns. When I go out to breakfast I'm never sure what I'm going to get, but I know I want hash browns. The eggs cooked perfectly. The sausage was pretty good. The place was not very busy and looked like a 50's diner but sounded like the 80's. I am a little confused, but I still like it. Maybe 12 tables in the place and counter seating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even brought the special board to us that we missed as we came in. We checked out the menu and ordered. The food came out very quickly. The six of us ordered a variety of things (see pics). Everyone was very impressed with everything. The place was full when we left with people waiting for a table. We came in on a Saturday morning and they were pretty full. We wouldn't have mind waiting (45 minute wait) but that can't accommodate party of 6. They would have had to split us up so we declined to be seated (2 adults, 4 kids). We will try again but with a smaller party. There was a gentleman sitting alone at a fold out table outside. I passed by this restaurant many times before and finally dropped in and tried their breakfast and it was delicious! I had the ham and eggs with hash browns and toast, and have been back many times after that. Everyone working there was so nice and friendly and went out of their way to provide excellent service, they always opened and closed the door for me when I was using a walker and was checked to make sure their customers were happy. Chubby's Diner is a small, friendly, neighborhood diner that's as retro as it gets. The diner is retro not only in the decor, which harkens back to the 1950's, but the food is retro as well, as you won't find anything fancy on the menu, just good, ol' home cookin' and diner "comfort food." If you're a "breakfast person," like I am, you'll be happy to know that Chubby's is serious about breakfast, as breakfast is available any time the restaurant is open. I arrived early in the morning, shortly after the restaurant opened, and I went with "The All American." You get TWO biscuits, covered with lots of country gravy. Then, you get two eggs, cooked any style, along with sausage or bacon, or if you're like me and you can't make up your mind, you get a little of both. The biscuits were fresh, made in-house, and were delicious. The country gravy was tasty, and had lots of sausage chunks in it, which really went well with the biscuits. If you love breakfast gravy, you've come to the right place, as Chubby's gives you lots of gravy. I ordered my eggs cooked over easy, and one of them was a little on the hard side, but no worries on my part. The bacon seemed like just a piece of bacon until I took a bite of it, surprise! ... it had a REALLY smoky taste, which in my book means delicious. The sausage was big, juicy and delicious. The "All American Breakfast" is just that, an "old school," "Americana" breakfast, direct from the heartland of America. I definitely enjoyed my breakfast, and I left with a full stomach and a smile on my face. When you're in the mood for some great "Americana comfort food," head over to Chubby's Diner in Roseville Square. I finally got a chance to revisit after a year or so ! The older white lady was very rude and short when I asked her if the same owners were still around . This place. Is SO. Good. I ordered the special-- seasonal *FRESH* white peaches & cream french toast. I was a little hesitant because often, "cream" means cream cheese, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find a generous portion of fresh, sliced peaches and whipped cream, on top of perfect French toast. Slightly crunchy crust and not soggy or weird, and most of all, no gross (to me) sugary, jarred fruit syrup on the peaches. ....Clearly, I like peaches. The food overall was perfectly cooked, the coffee was delicious, and my favorite thing about it is that it is very simple and tasty, and feels like something your mom would make in the morning. The staff made it even better with their friendliness, energy, spirit, helpfulness, and smiles. It felt like you were walking in to see friends, and it didn't feel forced at all. They were awesome! Tables and the whole place is clean and inviting, with the usual diner noise of dishes clattering, food being prepped, and happy customers. Soft music that wasn't annoying... everything was perfect. Walked in expecting something a little bit bigger, I'm not going to lie... Definitely is a little hole in the wall. The first thing I thought though was, "Wow, it's dirty..." We sat ourselves where ever was open, but ended up moving once a booth was available. I like that they have straws available on the table, especially with the new law. The food was really good, even though it took awhile to come out and somehow a table that came in after us got their food first? Not sure how that happened... It was a good one-time experience, but I don't think it's my pot of tea. read more

Came here on a whim about a week ago. Was looking for a place to eat in the area while out with my Mother and Step Daughter. I was pleasantly surprised at what awaited for us at Chubby's.It's one of those hole in the wall type places. Small and a bit dated but clean. The food is fresh and delicious.
