Alright...This is my new breakfast hangout. I had the Love me Tender, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and added a side biscuit and gravy. The chicken fried steak was actually meaty not just fried batter like most places. The biscuit was soooo moist, almost cake like. The gravy was just perfect. This is probably the best diner I have ever been to. The great experience started as soon as we walked in. We were created by the employees without delay and seated. We were immediately brought water and menus and given time to decide what we wanted to eat. As with most diners my expectations were not set high but this place blew them out of the water. I ordered steak and eggs and it was perfect. There milk shakes are also on point. I ordered the banana chocolate flavor and it was amazing. I was watching my two nieces for a few hours tonight and wanted to treat them to dinner. However, I also needed a place that wasn't too pricy and had things they like to eat. Found Chubby's on Yelp and decided to give it a try. This place was awesome. The two guys running it were so incredibly nice, and so wonderful with my nieces (who were well behaved this time, but can be kind of a handful other times). They were both attentive and so kind. Food came out fast and piping hot. Standard diner fare but super tasty - my nieces both chowed down on their plates, which they don't do too often, so clearly they enjoyed it, lol! Ordered their juke box meal and blueberry pancake daily special. Pancakes were raw in the middle with raw batter smell. Orange juice was obviously store bought. Bacon had a sour smell and taste and was crumbly as if left out for too long. Only thing eaten were the eggs that came with the meal. We complained to the server who then passed on the message to the manager. Who never came to talk to us directly. Server was nice and was obviously upset. This was a typical diner (which I usually love), but the experience was a total "meh." I ordered the burger patty, eggs, and hash browns. The eggs were not mixed well to be scrambled, and were cooked unevenly. Personal preferences, and all that, but they were not made to my liking. The patty tasted like it was pre-made and just heated up, and the hash browns also were uneven (some bites crispy, some bites undercooked). That last part is especially disheartening because I specifically asked for them to be extra crispy. Service was nice, and ambiance was a cliche diner setting. That is sad, because usually a breakfast diner has the best artery clogging food that makes me want to come back for a gooey omelet, eggs over medium dripping in butter, etc. Sadly, with the overabundance of delicious breakfast places in Roseville, I don't see myself returning anytime soon read more

Stopped here on the way to Tahoe! Its a hidden gem - the place has been open for 25 years!! They have the sweetest staff and what got our attention was that they made the buns, burgers, pie, biscuits, potatoes and even Ranch!! This past weekend me and my hubby went out to eat here. We both wanted brunch, so we went to a local diner. We were greeted by an old white man who called us kids (21,22yo) and asked what we wanted to drink. I was like can I get a menu so I know what there is to drink. Then he starts getting rude and walks off. We were both taken back. So after waiting 15 mins my hubby got annoyed and asked for him to take our order. An all American diner located in the Roseville Town Square shopping center. The menu is simple and the service is quick. I had the chicken fried steak which came with two eggs, hash browns, and an English muffin for around $9! The diner itself is fairly small. There are probably no more than 10 tables/booths and about 10 or so seats at the counter. But people seem to be in and out pretty quickly and the staff is super fast with the turn overs. When we arrived all of the tables were taken, so we took a seat at the counter and by the time we ordered our coffees, checked out the menu, and figured out what we wanted, a table opened up. The service was very good and the staff was very welcoming. I'm intrigued by the homemade burger buns mentioned by fellow yelpers, so I will probably be back for lunch or dinner. read more

Regarding the service the waitstaff is friendly and will remember you once you have been here a few times and greet you with a warm smile and welcome back. I have tried mostly their breakfast items and nearly every one on the list. They are all very good. Some of my key favorites are the chicken fried steak. Their hashbrowns are pretty amazing as well as their pancakes. The butter they use is pretty magical and makes their pancakes and toast taste spectacular.
