Purchased an F-150. Prior to delivery was told there would be no dealer add-ons or upsell of course there were. I refused 2 and agreed to pay for the window etching since it was already done. They were done so poorly but I figured they just needed cleaning. Nope. They did an astonishingly terrible job, spilling acid down the windows and doing only half the job in the windshield. The only fix is a window replacement. Learn from my mistakes. Don't pay for the etching, don't even allow them to do it. And oh yeah, they ignore every one of my messages requesting a remedy. Worst experience ever. I took my car for a coolant hose leak, they had it for four days. Did not receive any calls on its update. Had to call myself every day with no work on it till the fourth day. When I was ready to pull it away because they were taking too long with it and we're gonna charge me a lot of money, they said that it would be ready for the end of the day. An hour and a half later they called me saying it was ready. Not even 4 days later the coolant was leaking again. They said it happens, and wanted to charge me another 900 dollars to fix it. Dealer don't follow up with items that they suppose to install per purchase agreement. 1. I had to call and remind them that I needed a bed liner per agreement 2. still waiting for the vehicle recovery system to be installed this is already 9 months after purchase. I asked about it and was advised to check with "due bill" . I don't for Ford so how would I know.... Service department is also not recommended. App scheduler indicated that they have a shuttle service. But when I got there.. I was told they don't so either I wait for 2 hrs or have some else pick me up. I ordered a Brown Bronco,back in April. They said it would take a few months. I was trying to get it by my birthday in August. In August I called and they said they weren't going to get started on it until September. It would take a couple of months. I caledl them just before Christmas, and they said they had no record of my order. I went in person and they investigated it and found out they sold the car -I ordered in October. They never called me. Took my order out the system . All the time that I wasted I could've been trying somewhere else. They are most unreliable and unprofessional. Very disappointed in my experience. They covered up cigarette smoke with air fresheners and when I tried reaching out the very next morning and the whole following day it was nearly impossible to reach them. Now I'm stuck with a truck that literally smells like a casino ash tray. When they finally got back to me two days later they said it was "too late, the paperwork had already been sent out to the bank". I know it was strategic and purposeful avoiding my calls just like covering up the cigarette smoke. I asked if the truck has been smoked in they said no. They also weren't consistent or forthright with other information pertaining to the vehicle's history. One representative said it was a previous rental. Another said it was not. Trust is huge when purchasing a used vehicle and unfortunately they didn't demonstrate honesty or show much competency in their field. I'll try to be brief, but I think it's important to share some details of my experience: I have a Lincoln Navigator in which the AC stopped working. Now I've been taking my vehicle to the same service center for years, but because this was related to air conditioning I figured dealing with the manufacture would probably be better to get a diagnostic completed, as well as ensuring I received OE parts if I gave the go ahead for repair following the diagnosis. The service writer was polite and cordial, but it was all a ruse. Behind the veil of pleasantry was a sleuth of shadiness soon to reveal itself. Here's why: The service writer called me and verbally quoted three different prices, and each time, the price increased with no additional work being performed. I didn't appreciate that, nevertheless once we had a solid number with something in writing I could work with, and since my hard ceiling was $1200 and the service cost wasn't too far over that, I decided to approve the dealership service center to perform the work. The ever increasing off-putting verbal estimates notwithstanding. Yet, I received a call a few hours after I paid for the service, picked up my vehicle, and then returned home, asking for more money. The service writer asked me for an additional $500 stating he mis-billed the labor charge. I told him had I known the service cost was going to far exceed my ceiling, and moreover, the service cost I agreed to, I would have taken my vehicle to get a second opinion, and likely would have just gotten my vehicle serviced where I've been getting it serviced for many years. To contact a customer and request for an additional $400 to $500 AFTER the service has been performed stating they've made a mistake on the labor charge is disheartening and negatively impacts the trust customers expect when visiting a dealership service center which is suppose to provide a higher level of service for maintenance care from the manufacturer, which is also reflected in the additional cost we pay as customers for servicing at the dealership. Yet, this nonchalant shady and unscrupulous business practice speaks volumes about their service commitment to customer care, or the lack thereof. Too add insult to injury, the service writer contacts me after a lull in our communication and states he'll knock $100 off the additional $500 he wanted me to pay. I told him he's not doing me a favor offering to knock off $100 of an up charge they are attempting to levy on me after completing the vehicle service. I told them I AM NOT paying anything more than what I have already paid, which is what was quoted and agreed to, in writing, and for what I signed for when I picked up my vehicle after submitting the payment based on the documentation provided, which subsequently concluded our business. I politely told him to GFY. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this place. You will regret it if you don't. read more

Worst service ever! Do not take your car here. We had 2 recalls on our car and it took 3 days until we finally picked up the car without any work being done. What an inconvenience and waste of time! Their response: "we are busy. The appointment doesn't mean your car will be worked on. It's just a service advisory for the technicians". Because we can go about our normal lives without a vehicle...right!!! We had an appointment Friday at 8am.. was "promised" the car by 5.... Leo, the man who checked my car in, didn't even have the courtesy to call me and give me an update. When I called, he suggested I leave my car over the weekend. I cannot be without my car for three whole days, so I went and took out the car, and was back Monday morning. Call back Monday morning at 5 PM, he said the car was not ready yet. "Try Tuesday again". The whole day passed by, I made 4 more phone calls to the dealership throughout the day... everyone kept saying someone would call me back and nobody ever returned my calls.Awful service. Disrespectful staff. I have had other dealerships deal with recalls in my other cars.... I even had courtesy cars lent to me.... I recently had to take my car to ford for a warranty issue, check engine light and a tire sensor malfunction. I was able to easily make an apt for the near future, think I waited less than a week for an apt. They allowed me to drop my car off the day before and they kept me well informed. I had the pleasure of working with Juan, we had a little bit of a hold up trying to get my extended warranty to pay for some of the repairs. Worst service department experience. First of all, it took DAYS to get a hold of someone to even schedule an appointment in the first place. No one would answer calls or return my voicemails (this isnt the first time I've had problems with this Ford in scheduling a service- even before the pandemic). I eventually had to have a lady from the business office walk over and grab someone to help me schedule an appointment. I schedule it for the following day at 1:30pm. The next day I make plans with my work to leave early because the new service times due to covid conflict with my work schedule. I get there and the worker informs me that a mechanic didn't show up and it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait... for an oil change?! Why even schedule an appointment if they aren't going to be true to appointment times? I told him I really would have appreciated a phone call to let me know my appointment time would be pushed back nearly 3 hours- that way I could've rescheduled and not needed to take time off work. He tried to tell me "that's why they tell you to be prepared to wait 2 1/2 hours when you schedule an appointment" when I have NEVER heard that before in my life and it's never taken more than 45min to get an oil change done at this location. I can only imagine they are accepting walk-ins and not even caring about scheduled appointment times. I eventually told him I couldn't wait that long and had to turn around and drive home. He never even offered to help me reschedule my appointment. Long story short- don't come here to get service done to your Ford. It's not worth it. read more

I was forced to bring in my brand new Ford Maverick because of a factory recall. I was worried that a mechanic who doesn't love my truck as much as me, would do a poor job and leave my Maverick in worse shape than when I left it. When I arrived at the service center, the rep sensed by apprehension and confidently told me that they will do a great job. I left my truck feeling much better. When I got my truck back, the recall fix was done expertly and my truck looked as good as ever. The people at Chula Vista Ford make the difference. Dave (the service manager), Candy (Dave's sidekick), Juan (the customer service rep) and Darren (the handsome bald headed guy - and service rep) all treated me great. My parents and I went over to value a trade in and potentially buy a truck from them. The finance guy said he wouldn't do anything until he ran someone's credit and basically crossed his arms and said he wouldn't do anything. On my way to Mexico my F250 Diesel broke down. The water pump went out and I had no choice but to bring it to the Chula Vista Ford dealership. Frankly, I usually avoid to go to the dealership anywhere because usually the prices are so inflated. THESE GUYS WERE AMAZING!!! I left the truck in a parking lot over night and continued on my own, without the truck to my destination in Baja California Mexico. I had the truck towed by Jodan Towing & Recovery 619-671-0811 from the parking lot to Chula Vista Ford. (By the way, they were also amazing and I will write a separate review for them) And the service manager at Ford together with Leonardo Cuenca, who is the assistant service manager were extremely helpful. Everything was done remotely and I cant say enough how helpful they were. I came to pick up the Truck after they closed and Leonardo waited especially for me to make sure I got my truck and to make sure I was happy with the work. Needless to say, everything was perfect and they even washed my car. GREAT PRICE AND GREAT SERVICE. Don't be afraid to go to this Ford dealer ship. read more

Every time I have tried to contact this business it is nearly impossible. No one answers the phone, and when they do they are not helpful at all. I usually have to talk to at least 6 people before I find someone that can help me. I called for weeks trying to schedule my service appointment, and then had to wait another week while they fixed a small patch of paint on my car. Inquired about a 2023 bronco online. I was contacted soon after. The interactions were good. The price came back at 5k over msrp. I wouldn't do business with them because of the dealer markup and would avoid doing business with any dealer who charges dealer markups. I also noticed that online they add Nitrogen, etching, and alarm fees to their cars. Those are low-cost options they charge a premium fee for to inflate the prices of cars.
