We were so excited to finally have a Chuy's in FRISCO. We went the first week of opening and expected a crowd. The hostess was honest about our wait time of an hour. We waited in the very crowded bar and tried 2 versions of their margaritas. I had the Pink Cadillac which tasted great but left a very acidic after taste on the tongue. My husband ordered a tradition margarita on the rocks, had 2 sips and couldn't stomach it. Our wait staff was very attentive but lacked in detail. Two dishes were completely wrong after waiting 30 minutes to even receive the food. The kitchen was extremely backed up. The plates and servings are very large but the food reminded me of a sit-down Taco Bell, fast food Mexican. The tab was cheap which went in unison with the rest of the experience. read more

We haven't been to Chuys in so long, and saw it on the way home so we stopped in . Hostess was really nice he was friendly . Server not so much every time we asked for something she seemed to be annoyed, I can just tell by her face. She didn't even respond back to us . She did ask if we were ok when we got our food, but our table was a mess , she didnt pick up any dirty plates !LOL I don't know if she's just miserable working there or what ,had to ask for plates for our food when it came out etc. I still gave her a good tip . We went to lunch here on Saturday. First I want to say thank you to our wonderful server. She was amazing and always on top of getting us refills and check ups. Want an enchilada for your picky child, OK we'll give you a burrito. With beans instead of rice you say... A plate of rice coming right up! This is the third time in a row I have had a problem with the take out order here. Soft tacos served instead of crispy as ordered. Beef served instead of chicken. I'll be back as I know Chuy's is good. This was just Day 2, so some roughness was to be expected. Our server literally got the entire order wrong and insisted, after we repeatedly asked not to, that we keep the wrong orders and they'd bring out new ones. The enchiladas were way overcooked with the sauce dry and crusty. Not liquidy at all. The enchilada itself was chewy. This is not what I'm used to at Chuy's. They'll work it out. read more

We've eaten here several times and love the COVID spacing of the tables and delicious food. The partitions and tables are adequately spaced. The waiting area is also pretty roomy and you can step outside. The ability to get in line online is also a plus. The service is always fast and friendly. My favorite is the chicken Cobb salad. read more

I am not sure why people eat here to be honest. It was our 1st time here and I would describe it as cafeteria style "Mexican" food. We all were less than impressed with all 5 of our meals. The worst service. I order steak fajitas with flour tortillas. They came out with our food and brought one flour tortilla and the server asked if I would like corn instead. I replied I would really like flour because I'm not a fan of corn. The server walks off comes back 15 minutes later and didn't even acknowledge that I haven't got to eat my fajitas because of the missing tortillas. Not even the three managers acknowledged that I haven't touched my food even though They kept walking and standing right in front of my table. It was around 4pm on a Saturday not busy enough for this behavior. The managers should be ashamed of the lack of service they're giving to the paying guest. Came here 7/1/2020 @ 5:30ish. The bartender was a young male and it was my first time there and welcomes me immediately. I came in for happy hour and decided to get the top shelf skinny margarita ($9.75) ... He then offered his "special margarita" I questioned and said I don't want syrup in it I want it to still be true lime. Assured me it'd be no problem and he could still make it his " Special margarita" which such friendly service I thought why not! along with ground beef enchilada, topped with queso (as suggested). I'm not picky eaters so the food was great to me. however after getting my bill I ordered two drinks of the same " top shelf margarita" ($9.75) but instead it was a casa Migos $13 drink of something else... I brought it up to him expecting him to correct it but instead gave me excuses like he gave me a bigger drink (that I never asked for) to me, I thought his special margarita would be like a swirl or something I don't know but not a three dollar up charge. That is definitely something you state before hand...it's like when you order a salad they let you know that adding chicken is going to be an an up charge so if you add some special size let. me. know. It's going to be an up charge. He said sorry but it's not like he genuinely saw his fault because he would've corrected the price, I never asked for that. I would've gone somewhere high end if I wanted a $13 drink. Ultimately I left that restaurant feeling played completely scammed and I definitely would like to talk to a manager but it seems like they don't respond to any complaints on here. I came here by myself as a young woman wanting a quick happy hour meal but instead was completely scammed. I felt embarrassed like I should've known better than to fall for some sales pitch of a "special margarita" for a $3.25 up charge it better have been a double especially during happy hour! I don't write reviews ever and this was just something that completely shocked me. Huge Chuy's fan but have never seen one of their restaurants so inept at almost everything. We have given it multiple chances since opening including one visit in person just prior to COVID closures. After reopening, gave it a few tries for to-go dinners. First, it is nearly difficult to get through on the phone. Today, we got the voicemail 3 times indicating the voicemail box is full. On another occasion, sat outside at time food was supposed to be ready, along with about 10 other families, for nearly 45 minutes with no communication (could not get through on the phone to inquire on status). Really like the proximity of this Chuy's but we'll drive a little further to the Plano Tollway location. They are consistent and reliable. read more

Update: After a couple months, the Frisco Chuy's found their groove. Now, we LOVE it. Even during the COVID quarantine shutdown their take-out was a once or twice weekly necessity. Once they re-opened, we made regular trips and got to know the staff rather well; particularly the bar. Eric, Joy and Alora make a fantastic margarita, but Alec's specialty top-shelf marg and Joy's Blue Hawaiian are highlights to the always wonderful experience. Sadly, we moved to Florida and now frequent a different Chuy's. But, the Frisco team will always be in our hearts . read more

I understand that restaurants are still operating under state guidelines for Covid however I feel like the takeout in online ordering and curbside to go should be perfect we have been dealing with this pandemic since March business has slowed down tremendously not as many customers in the lobby..to go and curbside increased and therefore have had plenty of time to make it a seamless easy process. how come Chick-fil-A can get their stuff out correctly, efficiently and treat their customers respectfully???No more excuses you've had plenty of time to get this down if you're going to charge a packaging fee then it needs to be flawless. It has been years since I have been to Chuys but I always thought they were pretty good. My husband had never been before and I kept telling him he had to try it. So we decided to go Thursday evening for my sons 20th birthday and the menu was totally different from what I remember. It looked like a dumbed down version with the basic taco, burrito, fajitas. Definitely a lot less than what I remember. The salsa was weird. Reminded me of pico de gallo...had big chunks of tomato's so the kids were immediately complaining. I initially ordered two margaritas and had planned to share one with my son. They caught on to that quick and let me know that was not allowed. Okay...I can agree with that. So I then whispered to the waitress if they do anything for birthdays like a birthday song and she gave me a look and said she would see what they could do. So we then ordered food and I asked for ckn fajita nachos. They brought me chicken fajitas and said the beans and cheese were on the way lol. I was so confused. So I looked at the waitress and said I had ordered fajita nachos..not fajitas. They misunderstood...okay I can understand that. 30 minutes later they brought out my nachos as I sat there watching the rest of my group finish their food. I asked the waitress if they were going to do anything for my sons birthday and she said its something they no longer do anymore and are trying to get away from that but she would sing with me if I wanted her too . Really???!!!???Uhhh never mind I said. So I then asked if I could get my second margarita to go and she said since I didnt order it to go initially that she couldn't let me take it to go!!!! Really??? Yea I was nice about it but tip was only $5 on a $100 tab and unfortunately this experience totally ruined my view of Chuys. Visited Frisco Chuys last evening for the first time since they opened here. Food was great!! Even better than the Plano location. Service by Morgan, our waitress, was excellent!! The restaurant was packed and yet she took the time to answer our questions about menu items, provide a couple of samples of their specialty sauces before we ordered, was very attentive and on top of our refills with chips, and very personable and friendly. I went to chuy's today for lunch and was very disappointed and frustrated after waiting about 50 mins for my order, I opened my meal to find that the food was about the size of a kids meal. Previous times I have eaten here I have ordered the same meal, and for some reason I sometimes get 4 tacos, sometimes only 2, and it is so misleading because what am I paying for? 2, 3 or 4 tacos? Today I was expecting at least 3 tacos and got 2 tacos with 3 slices of chicken and 2 little clumps of lettuce in each taco. This isn't even a size for a 10 year old. My partner got only like a centimeter of beans in her meal and they were all dried up. Not to mention all the food was cold. I'm so annoyed and so disappointed and question their quality control. read more
