I already lost count of how many Chuy's we've visited... but whenever we get a chance to be near one we don't think twice about stopping by. We were visiting family this weekend and on our way back home we saw this was on the way so, got there at around 11am, grabbed 2 spots at the bar area, and started with our usual salsa and creamy jalapeno sauces, with chips. The jalapeno sauce was a bit spicier than the other locations but still amazing! We also ordered the Queso which was terrific and guacamole. Being a Sunday at brunch time I was in the mood for a mimos, luckily they had sparkling wine in a can, and they gave a glass of orange juice to make it. After two of these (and his two margaritas), a refill of chips, and all the sauces gone, we ordered Enchiladas to go (too full to eat anything else but can't leave without them), and left full and happy these chain is always consistent and regardless of the location it never disappoints. read more

We made it to the winter park Chuy's finally. We have been to just about all the other in Orlando, so why not make it to the Winter Park one. We walked in last Saturday about noon. It wasn't packed at all, and we were able to grab a couple spots at the bar. it had all the usual things of a Chuy's, brightly colored walls, random dog photos, flying fish on the ceiling, and Lucha Libre paintings. It always feels homey. we grabbed some chips and dips and guacamole right off the bat. Everything was great, from the salsa to the guac. I got a New Mexican martini to sip along with our chips. The infused with green-chili drink was nice, not too spicy as with most green chili items. The jalapeño stuffed olives put it over the top with heat. It didn't need up but it added some flair to the drink. We just stayed for the chips and a couple drinks(and took enchiladas to go), but its a great spot. Such a great experience. The service was friendly and efficient, once we were seated. A reminder that most places are still dealing with lack of workers. But the chips were freshly homemade, thin and crispy with just the right amount of salt. Salsa was good, not great. But that didn't stop us from enjoying it. The fajitas were some of the best we've ever had--and this is a regular favorite of ours. The chicken was juicy and came sizzling with onions, green and red bell peppers. We loved that they included shredded cheese in the toppings. We sat on the patio that looks like it would be a fun place for an evening meal. Colorful market lights are hung from the ceiling. Plenty of parking in the back. I had a regular margarita and at $8.50 I felt it was small. But it was delicious! read more

I inadvertently left my wallet there (with credit cards, drivers license and cash). Met a friend for lunch here. I found it pretty disappointing. I ordered a quesadilla with fajita chicken inside. My friend ordered the chicken tacos. Everything was just very "meh" to me. They do give you complimentary chips with salsa and a spicy creamy sauce. The quesadilla dish was generous with 4 pretty large quesadillas. But it just felt bland. Chewy is solid, but ever since the pandemic and slimming down the menu we don't go as often. The chili Rayos and a couple of the other items that have disappeared were a major reason we went because they were so good. They're still Chicka Chicka boom boom the homemade chips and the queso. Came to Chuys for lunch on Thursday, we opted to seat outside and requested the table be cleaned as they were visibly dirty, the young lady hosting rudely wiped off part of the table and acted as if we were wrong in our request. Thankfully that was the worst part of our experience. The highlight was the superior service recieved from Jill! She was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the chips and salsa and jalapeño dip. The flautas were made with canned chicken the Rice has a packaged "Lipton" flavor, the guacamole came in a bowl as usual, but on a bed of lettuce and for $9 it was as if they were attempting to make it a full portion and it ended up mixing in with the lettuce and we were done without being done, Also made with a hint of flavorless that left us wondering. Kids chicken fingers were tough so our child did not even eat along with the rice and beans. We left with a head scratching feeling of "how can this be so popular", but giving the location we felt most people in this area might not have been exposed to truly authentic delicious Mexican food. Very good food!! The pico is delicious! It's been a long time since I had a sauce served with chips that had a bite to it. The bartender John was such a good bartender as well as a server!! He was all over the place with quite a few tables, extremely busy but very attentive. I had one problem and that as I'm watching him RUN all over the place I saw servers standing around, one was looking at her phone in a room off the bar. I don't know why he didn't ask for help he definitely needed but he did a good job anyway but I noticed a table outside that he had that had to get up a couple of times to ask him for something. I am all about customer service and it's always nice to have that camaraderie with your fellow teammates where they notice prebussing, refills, and the like, those little things that make all the difference. We have eaten regularly at the Chuy's in Bethesda MD when up there on business. We were happy to see one in Orlando. The atmosphere was just like the one we are familiar with up North. The place was busy so we chose the patio sense it was mild out for August due to showers. Even though the patio was not crowded (~50%) the service is a little slow due to the kitchen being on the opposite side of the building But the service was good. We were brought fresh Tortia Chips and Sauces with out Teas. I had the soft Tocos. One Grilled Chicken and one grilled Sirloin. All the fixings were on the side with fried yellow rice and retried beans. It was very good. My partner had the Delux Enchilada's with fried yellow rice and retried beans. The salsa does have a kick to it so make sure you have a drink when you try it. The steak is tender and a good portion is given. The flour tortillas taste homemade and are actually the best tortillas I have ever head in any Mexican Restaurant. They are super soft and tasty. The rice and refried beans were delicious as well. This is a fun new restaurant in the Winter Park area. I had tried it in various states including the original in Austin, Tx. Food is really good. They make their own tortillas. I rank Mexican restaurants based on their Chile Rellenos, if they have it in the menu. Got to say, it was really good. I also customized the enchilada that came in the combo platter I ordered, instead of the typical red sauce, I switched to a tomatillo based. The dish overall was delicious. Came here for a birthday party. There was only five of us, because of coronavirus. It was a Monday, so we did not need a reservation. We were seated at a round table, near the tortilla station. All staff were wearing masks and you have to wear a mask to get inside. Once seated, you can remove it. Our server was around to check on us, but I honestly had to call him over a couple times. It wasn't even a busy night. I had two happy hour drinks- the House Rita followed by The Original Texas Tini. I wish they would've given us separate chips and salsa so we didn't have to share with the entire group. For that reason, I did not indulge. The menu is limited during coronavirus. I opted for the healthiest entree - the fajitas. One of the other gals ordered the same. When our meals came out, we were definitely into them. It was awhile before I had to ask about the freshly made tortillas - where are they? Why were they not served with my dinner??? When we asked for our checks, he went around and asked what we had. I reminded him I had the mixed fajitas and two happy hour drinks. When my check came- he did not honor the happy hour price. So I flagged him and asked him to change it. My advice is "go somewhere else." Food took 40 mins to come out and was not good at all. My son's burger had a piece of plastic packaging cooked into it. We asked them to make him another burger but I was surprised a manager didn't stop by to address it at all. The tables all around us sat with dishes on them during our entire hour+ meal.
