New owners and new chef Luciano from Sorrento Italy is AMAZING! We had Pasta e Fagioli soup- perfect , Veal Siciliana , Chicken Francaise and Panne Alla Vodka- all excellent large portions. Dinner come with soup or salad. Great wine list we love Nero D' Avola. Excellent service- Sue is so pleasant and doesnt forget anything- keeps water glass filled and all . Been a big fan of Bruscos for probably 30 years. Currently,I live out of town stopped in the restaurant today, and found out they changed hands....ordered a pizza over the phone and it was the worst. Ordered cheese pizza with green peppers, sausage and fresh garlic and I got a cheese pizza with sausage and garlic salt at best.. I guess they forgot the green peppers in the real garlic ...also the box was crazy saturated with the oil... I had to Pat down the slices just to get some oil off. The cost was over $30 with 10% takeout tip. Very disappointing ...I'll never order pizza from them again I don't know if they destroyed the other dishes or not but I'll give them a shot for inside dining one time. Bruscos ‍ My grandparents have been taking us to this unassuming Italian spot on Federal in Deerfield for over 20 years. And the tradition continues! We always get a pie no matter what. Their pizza is perfection to us - crispy thin crust, with the right amount of sauce This visit, I tried the rigatoni with pink sauce special - included shrimp and mushroom. I could drink their pink sauce. Delicious. The eggplant Parmesan & Alfredo are also family staples. Never disappoints. Bruscos is family owned and you can taste the love & tradition in the food. When my grandfather was alive, he'd go in the back and see mama Brusco and ask her to whip him up whatever she was feeling at that moment. Special memorials - no clue if that's her name, that's just what we called her ‍ Bruscos hasn't changed much over the years, quaint spot that can only fit about 40-50 people. The servers that aren't part of the family don't have the same charm or care to detail. If you want an amazing authentic meal and to support a local business that has survived over two decades, Bruscos is a must try! read more

The pizza was really greasy and floppy without much undercarriage but did have decent flavor. Had to pat it dry. The lady at the front was super nice and it did seem pretty busy for a weeknight so maybe the dishes are good. I'll try again just might skip the pepperoni pizza. Awesome pizza. Fantastic vodka sauce (add shrimp!). The garlic knots were the best I've ever had. We went twice during our vacation. But honestly what made it was our fantastic two waiter/waitress (they nicely help each other). Can't say bad things here. We were on vacation and decided to check this place out. Great ambiance. Sue was our waitress and was very knowledgeable of the menu. Apparently the place had a change of ownership a couple of years ago so some menu items are listed on the menu but not available. The restaurant had mane specials though. Such a cute little hidden gem! Ricky was our fantastic waitress who was so friendly and sweet. The fresh baked bread was so good that I ate it all and barely had room for my entree. But I'm not a quitter! The Italian wedding soup that came with my meal was the best I have ever had. Hands down! Chicken parm was delicious! Bottom Line- 10/10. Great service, better food. This place closes at 10:00pm. Due to unforeseen and frustrating Uber complications, we didn't arrive until 9:20pm. They were happy to serve us and couldn't have been more welcoming. We started with the bread and the garlic knots - hot out of the oven and AMAZING. So good, we ordered more garlic bread at like 9:50. They were SO good, we had to be "those" customers. They were happy to serve them. I ordered the fettuccini alfredo with mushrooms and my wife got the chicken marsala. Both dishes were amazing. read more

We came here in hopes of finding a good new neighborhood restaurant. But what we found was largely a big rip off. I ordered the lobster ravioli which was $18.95, this was the most expensive menu item other than the seafood, which was $19.95. The waitress comes back and says that they currently do not have the lobster ravioli so I ordered the seafood pescatore which was a special they had on the board by the door. I did not inquire about the price considering nothing on their menu exceeded $20. The dish was not all that horrible, other than the shrimp being wildly overcooked. It had clams mussels calamari and a piece of white fish. Nothing too fancy. After receiving the check, I realized they charged me $33 for this mediocre dish. Kind of ridiculous to put a dish as a "special" that is 13 dollars more than anything else on their menu. I guess it is partly my fault for not asking the price but it definitely seemed like a scam. This experience also falls in line with some of the other Yelp reviews I have seen. Also, the entire staff smoked cigarettes right on the front patio by the door. not only did the server smell like smoke but the smoke from their cigarettes drafted in when the door was opened. one of the employees there was also yelling at the delivery driver for some mistake he made. We have been coming to this restaurant for 40 years and it has never disappointed. In the last year or so the restaurant has been sold. Often this is when things go south. This is definitely not the case with Bruscos! It has gone from good to great. The menu is loaded with options and we have never been disappointed. The pasta is great. The pizza is the best in south Florida. We live in Chicago and we like it here so much we have a tradition of coming here straight from the airport. It's not fancy it's just really good! read more

I ordered dinner last night for family of 5 Italians. The food was amazing the best Italian I've had in florida. The eggplant was delicious and no skin it was perfect. My mom loved the meatballs and the Milanese sandwich was delicious if you want something without red sauce. I highly recommend. Pricing is very reasonable. read more

This was not a food meal at all. The sandwiches were soggy. How do they even serve them? The chicken parm tasted as if it were microwaved while the meatballs were subpar and probably frozen. Also, the desert was frozen as if they couldn't even bother to defrost the (fat from freshly made) desserts. The pricing was higher than normal Italian meals so I assumed they used fresh ingredients. This was an incorrect assumption. I don't know how they remain open serving bad food. I can't comment on service as I ordered delivery and didn't interact with employees. read more

If I could change one thing about Brusco's... it would be the fact that it's almost an hour away from my house! Pregnancy cravings have been running wild lately, and last night I had my cousins bring me some pizza and garlic rolls from Brusco's. Not only was this the tastiest pizza I've literally ever had, it was covered in chunks of garlic and bacon. Real, fresh, sliced and crushed garlic, and thick and crispy bacon. If you ask me, the most important things for a restaurant to offer are 1. Good service. 2. A friendly atmosphere. 3. High quality ingredients. This place nails all three. I will definitely be bothering my cousins for more food asap. read more

As someone who does not regularly rave nor rip a restaurant in public, I have finally found a place to truly rave about. BRUSCO'S is one of those hidden gems you may find on the upper East Side of Manhattan, or on the lower west side on a side street...very unassuming...homey...authentic..and FAMILY OWNED. The service was almost stiffling yet so attentive to detail it was worth being fawned over. Now the food. We started with was probably the lightest tastiest fried calamari I've had-with a side of marinara that was incredible! Sweet-rich-tasty...I had shrimp parm that was perfect-5 thick l;arge shrimp that had that CRUNCH when you bit into them...the parm was rich, gooey, and fresh. Accompanied by a salad and a side of linguini, it was really excellent. My girlfriend had MY favorite, veal piccata, with just the right hint of lemon...enough capers...and a load of fresh veal. Our friends had chicken francais (light, fluffy, and wonderful) and a snapper dish that was covered with sauteed artichokes, mushrooms, garlic, and a light touch of a light tomato sauce...possibly one of the best fish offerings I've eaten anywhere. I'd give them 5 stars if they served BOOZE...but wine and beer were fine. Great atmosphere, you don't get "lost" in a sea of customers, and really felt welcome. GO THERE. read more

The restaurant is very small and unassuming but don't let that fool you. The food was REALLY great. The service was even better! Susie is a doll and made us feel at home. We had the Bronzino with garlic couscous, a seafood dish in a red sauce that was amazing with their bread. The fried calamari appetizer was perfectly crisp, lightly battered and just perfect. Many of my neighbors frequent this small family owned Italian restaurant. My husband and I visited for the first time last week. It is very charming with that homey feel. The food was good. I had the veal and he had chicken Parmesan. Both were delicious. The salad and the soup was also very good. We ordered the cheesecake to share but being from NY I love a different style of cheesecake. They make the cheesecake on site and the restaurant is known for it, so not being Italian I guess I don't know a good Italian cheesecake when I taste one. I felt sad when the waitress asked why we weren't eating it. They graciously took it off the check. read more

This place would have gotten three stars because overall it was average but the fact that I paid 9 bucks for two skunked beers did not help the cause at all. The atmosphere of the place was really cute and very little Italy. Small but cozy. The large pizza with three toppings was 17 bucks. That's gettin way up there in price for the average quality of this pie. First pet peeve, I hate canned mushrooms. But, they are so few and far between at decent pizza places that I never rememeber to ask which ones they have, though I really should. The only thing with flavor on the pizza was the sliced tomatoes. Other than that, skimpy sauce, skimpy cheese and barely any fresh basil. The crust had zero flavor. I felt like I was eating pizza chow for dogs. I could have literally gotten a better pizza at the papa johns right next door. By the way, we were starving when we ate this, so if we couldn't enjoy it then, I couldnt imagine eating it when you just have a little grumble in your tummy. As I mentioned earlier I got two beers that tasted soo strange. I know what that particular brand should taste like and it was not right. Unfortunately, this was takeout so we couldn't drive all the way back with two opened beer bottles. So, this place gets two stars. Awesome pizza, really delicious. This place has been here for 45 years, we're told, and my husband who is 44 used to come here as s kid. The thing that impressed me first is the fact that, as old as it is, it does not feel or look dirty nor dated. The decor is quaint and clean, the lighting is pleasant, and it smells good in there. A lot of older restaurants tend to smell grimy. This one does not. A very pleasant older woman greeted us. She was Cleaning the tables and pretty much didn't stop cleaning the entire time we were there (reminds me of my grandma lol). We ordered a 16" pizza and asked for half mushroom and basil for my younger son and me, and sausage meatball for our older son and hubby. The pizza took a really long time to come out, but we were ok with that because it was worth the wait. If you come here hungry I highly suggest you order an appetizer. We all loved the pizza. It tasted... clean. A lot of times pizza hits my stomach like a ton of bricks but this one felt light. It was delicious. This is now one of my favorite Italian restaurants and we'll definitely return.... And we'll definitely order an appetizer next time. read more
