This place has the most delicious Rotisserie chicken! It is a million times better than at any grocery store - the chicken is so very flavorful and there is so much of it. Also, I am not a huge fan of chicken skin, but this skin is irresistible! It is also the best tasting cold chicken the next day. While I can say the service at the cashier may not be up to par with some eateries the food is amazing. The filet mignon plate is especially delicious which is funny considering this is a chicken spot. The one gripe I have beyond the service (which I mostly do takeout anyway) is their focus on charging for the garlic sauce. Their competitor, Zankou, is not nearly as focused on driving revenue through selling garlic sauce. When ordering the Filet Mignon plate realize it does NOT come with the delicious garlic sauce so be prepared to pay for it. This makes no sense considering this plate is one of their most expensive and they deem it not worthy of having a garlic sauce included with the cost of the plate. Nonetheless, this is par for the course with most Mediterranean eateries, it is a difference in culture and to not take it personal would be my advice. Always been frequenting this place, even back when they were still called Sevan's. The inside is nice and tidy. Nothing fancy, but always well maintained. I'm guessing it's because most of their customers order their food to-go. But I find that it's always nicer to eat your food fresh out of the rotisserie grill, as supposed to letting it sit on your car on your drive back home. But I digress. The food is still good quality. It's gone down a bit from the past years, but you still get a nice, moist, and juicy piece of chicken that makes you crave for one more bite until you realize you've already devoured the whole hen. I like their rice much better than Zankou's plain offering. Although like I said, it was much better back then. Their shawarma plate is nicely jam-packed with a large portion of meat. Certainly can't complain about that. Much better than other "fancier" restaurants that skimp on the good stuff and fill out their plates with fluff. Their hummus is nothing special though. Rather plain and no depth of flavor. And their pita wraps are one of those pre packaged ones you can buy at the supermarket. I suppose that's just about what you'd expect from a (albeit on the higher end) fast food restaurant. Until I can find a better alternative, Cicek is still my go-to Mediterranean/Middle Eastern rotisserie chicken place in the SFV. read more

A co-worker of mine recommended this place a couple years ago and my family and I have gone many times since. This is really one of those places that from the outside you would never be able to tell that the food cookin' on the inside is delicious. Their signature dish is the chicken (hence the name). NEVER again will I order from Cicek's... we have been eating here for as long as this place has been at this location ( at least twice a month) and we fully support our local businesses but when your verbally accosted by the owner because of a mistake they made, its really sad. I placed a phone order and came in to pick it up, as I'm checking out the owner gives my order to the person ordering next to me and when he realizes his mistake he runs out the door to catch her. no luck so my order has just driven away with someone else. Craving rotisserie chicken I followed the sage advice of coworkers and decided on Cicek's. Not disappointed. I ordered a 1/4 chicken with hummus and rice for takeout. Breast and wing were moist and had a nice subtle flavor. Hummus had a very strong garlic flavor, about which I am still on the fence. Rice was nice... not too greasy. Pita bread was not a battle to chew or break apart. As for the garlic sauce, it was more like garlic infused Crisco but quite satisfying. The only place I can compare with Cicek's is Chicken Dijon, which I enjoy quite a bit, and I feel is a slight step above Cicek's. Where Cicek's will beat C.D. is in the selection and homeliness. There are more items on the menu here and the small diner feel omits an air of comfort. Also... the young lass behind the counter had a nice smile for me which sweetened the experience. This is a pretty decent chicken to go place, my one qualm being that like 1/5 times I go they will be out of chicken for 30-45 minutes. On the one hand that means at least you are getting some fresh birds, but on the other hand this is America and I want my chicken now damn you! They actually have more diverse options on the menu than several other "similar"places like chicken tacos, chicken sandwiches etc. Really these are sort of all the same thing so stick with the original chicken meal. They have a buy 2 get one free deal during the week for meals that increases your value substantially. Nothing has changed except the name, the food is just as great as it was when it was Sevan's. My favorite is their Value Pack. Its very inexpensive and because it's meant to feed more than one, it will last 4-5 days instead of having to buy expensive takeout for lunch/dinner everyday. I love their chicken and rice but I'm even more in love with the fact that they serve that same delicious garlic sauce that became popular with Zankous chicken. The only thing that's a little annoying is if you want extra, you have to buy the garlic sauce in several little containers instead of having larger containers available to cater to the amount of sauce you'd like. Besides their chicken, I've tried several other dishes and so far, I've never been disappointed. The staff has always been welcoming and thankful for the business. I can't believe I've never reviewed Cicek's! I mean, it's only one of the few places that have made it into our office lunch rotation. I always get the exact same thing and that is the half chicken lunch special with rice and salad and two pita breads. Total steal at around $7. My coworker swears by the chicken skewers, but I have yet to branch out. It's tough to change when the chicken is so juicy and delicious. And don't forget about the yummy garlic sauce! Zankou has nothing on Cicek's. Last time I went to the Zankou by my house, I was really surprised by how dry it was. You never have that problem here. Great spot for lunch or to go. We ordered take out from here and thought the food was reasonably priced and also very good. Their falafel was very fresh and flavorful--it can be hard to find places that do falafel well. I got the falafel sandwich which was delicious with the hot sauce that they have. It was very affordable at $5.99. My mom got the falafel plate which came with a salad, hummus, pita and the yummy falafel. My husband got the shwarma which he loved. He got two sides--thick cut fries and some hummus. My inlaws got some of the meat kabobs and really enjoyed their food too. Food was ready pretty quick and we enjoyed ourselves. They don't deliver.
