Friendly neighborhood deli mart. Live right near this place and probably the best local deli market I've ever been to! The owners and workers are so nice and friendly. The sandwiches are solid - nothing spectacular but good price and delicious. I'd probably give it a 5 star but they've forgotten ingredients on my sandwiches a handful of times now! Awesome place! Small little section in the corner where the sandwiches are made and they are amazing. I got a chicken pesto avocado on sourdough with all the fixings. The sandwich was nice and toasted and the bread was sooo delicious and fresh. The store had everything you could need (literally lol) and the gentlemen working were very nice as well! We were walking through Golden Gate Park, and started getting hungry!! We searched for deli sandwiches near the Panhandle and found this little gem! I love a good local grocery/mart that serves hot deli sandwiches! My partner enjoyed the hot pastrami, while I got their chicken breast with pesto and avocado! We both got it on dutch crunch noms lol. All their hot sandwiches are $8.99+ tax. They come with your choice of cheese and these fillings: mayo, mustard, pickles, banana peppers, jalapeño, lettuce, onion!! You can of course specify if you don't want to include any of these. In addition to the hot sandwiches, they have cold sandwiches, hot wings, liquor including some local beer cans sold individual, and some grocery items including frozen meals. Lol I am intrigued about the hot wings. We thought our sandwiches were tasty! We are down to come back if we're in the mood for deli sandwiches lol. Support this local market! read more

Goddamn, these guys know how to make a good sandwich.... My girlfriend and I live in NOPA and have been trying out different sandwich spots from around the neighborhood and this place has the BEST ones I've had yet. I tried the Chicken pesto avocado with pepper Jack on Dutch crunch and it was pretty perfect. Good amount of chicken and condiments. Boar's Head brand. Not overly dressed in sauce, just the right amount. Phenomenal crunch on the bread and they spread a layer of pesto on top and bottom before toasting it for a couple minutes. None of it was too messy and everything kept together. Each bite had everything in it, which is a sign that they know what they're doing. Didn't even need chips to eat with it. Certain other sandwich delis/corner shops might skimp you on the meat but these guys got your back. Definitely coming back for the other sandwiches. Great selection of different groceries too if you need something at home. read more

I have been to Cindy's Market to pick up packages and to grab random convenience store items, but this Market is actually more than just a convenience store. They have a great sandwich counter, and they are always stocked with everything you need and more. Often, what larger grocery stores are out of (like currently, toilet paper or eggs or flour), Cindy's Market has it! The staff here are really helpful and nice, and I have always had an efficient (the Market is very organized) and great experience. read more

I love finishing my work week off with something delicious and I've been craving a Cindys sandwich for weeks. I've been getting my clients sandwiches and not even thinking about myself, but not today. I met the boys at the door (its a family function) and they greeted me like family, always so warm and welcoming. My sandwhich was FIRE. I havent had their tuna and I wasn't craving turkey so I thought why not? It was so good, the bread was perfect and it held my fatass sandwich together. Nothing was soggy, the tuna was PERFECT. What a great find! My friend and I were looking for some food prior to a concert on campus and I'm so happy to find this gem. It look me a minute to figure out the place and the "deli" so ignore the aisles just go past the register and that little counter on the end is everything you want that you didn't know you did. I had a hot pastrami sandwich and my friend had the Turkey sandwich. We were both SO pleased with our food. Staff was very kind and helpful. Be patient, I promise it's worth the wait. read more

Serviceable, friendly, well-stocked with basic groceries including some produce and a great wine section, I'm a fan. It's also next to my son's school making it easy to run in/out for something you might've forgotten at the grocery store - or buy a chocolate chip cookie for "someone" after school. I'm always forgetting some random grocery item like apple cider vinegar, cornstarch or a lime that I need to make dinner. Cindy's Market and Tim's are my go-to spots for last-minute items. If you're driving, they have have (2) green curb spots making it that much easier to run grab your essentials without double-parking. read more

I go to Cindy's Market quite regularly. This bodega has all the essentials for a neighborhood mini-market: flour, spices, eggs, juices, etc. I, however, come here mainly for their sandwiches. Their hot and cold sandwiches are priced fairly. They have a solid variety of meats and cheeses: pastrami, roast beef, turkey, etc. (I'll lobby though for their hot pastrami! Yum!) Most sandwiches are big and priced around $5.99. Of course, like most delis, they charge extra for cheese and avocado. In terms of bread, they have Dutch Crunch which is basically EVERYTHING when it comes to a quintessential San Francisco sandwich. They also have a chip & soda combo option that's an affordable add-on. That said, I usually can get all of this under $8 which is a good value in this city and in this neighborhood. Service is pretty good. The staff are friendly especially the ladies at the register and at the deli. They also have a regular clientele since every time I've stopped in, the staff seem to know half the people who walk through their doors. That's always a good sign. If you're in the mood for a no-frills but satisfying sandwich and/or need a few essentials but don't want to make the expedition to Lucky, Cindy's is your place! read more

Was out in the city & craving a good sandwich, Cindy's Market didn't disappoint. Me & my boyfriend got the hours wrong & showed up with the deli closed but the owner was nice enough to open everything back up & deliver some good food for us. We were in the process of looking for another spot to eat at but he had said he couldn't do us like that. Such a good & friendly vibe here we loved it. The pastrami, Swiss, and sauerkraut balanced out well, nothing overpowered anything else, and it wasn't oversalted like a lot of Reubens end up being. The rye had a nice distinct character to it too. Next time I'll probably just walk in and order instead of doing delivery. I'm curious about their other sandwiches, though something cold would probably survive the DoorDash trip a lot better than this one did.

The Brie was well balanced with the figs. The website said it came with a "fig mostarda" and my partner never had that before! (2) Peach Melba ($10) - also very unique and flavorful. I was surprised by the raspberry inside. (3) Gochujang Pimento Cheese Twist ($8) - this was OK. It was actually my second time getting it (wanted something vegetarian and savory). It was better this time and a pretty pastry but not super flavorful. We were able to get this pastry warmed up (they shared that they don't warm the ones with cream). (4) Chocolate Chip and Toffee Cookie ($8) - chewy, thicker cookie. Probably one of my favorites now. Total: $40.19 There was indoor seating within parachute bakery, but you can very well grab your pastries and go sit by the water. We parked further away as we always do and rode the street car (F) in, so we didn't have to deal with the bustling streets of the pier. Love the fact that they bring in seasonal ingredients. While I was tempted to try one of each, I was on a mission during this visit to try the black sesame kouign amann. When I placed my order at the counter, I was served a fresh-from-the oven kouign amann - this rarely happens! I couldn't resist trying a piece as I left the bakery, and it was indeed exquisite. The black sesame kouign amann from B. Patisserie is my gold standard, and Juniper's version is a close contender. While the black sesame flavor is much lighter and the texture fluffier than the B. Patisserie version, I liked the abundance of the crispy edges (as well as the year-round availability). I will certainly be back to try more of Juniper's pastries.

Generous portions of meat tomatoes lettuce all the toppings. They also use top ingredients here. This place is small, but it has a big heart and the food is delicious. If you're thinking, I don't wanna sit at a restaurant then you should think about coming here and getting a sand and taking it down to the beach and enjoying it there right where you bought it they have tables.
