Awesome place! Small little section in the corner where the sandwiches are made and they are amazing. I got a chicken pesto avocado on sourdough with all the fixings. The sandwich was nice and toasted and the bread was sooo delicious and fresh. The store had everything you could need (literally lol) and the gentlemen working were very nice as well! We were walking through Golden Gate Park, and started getting hungry!! We searched for deli sandwiches near the Panhandle and found this little gem! I love a good local grocery/mart that serves hot deli sandwiches! My partner enjoyed the hot pastrami, while I got their chicken breast with pesto and avocado! We both got it on dutch crunch noms lol. All their hot sandwiches are $8.99+ tax. They come with your choice of cheese and these fillings: mayo, mustard, pickles, banana peppers, jalapeño, lettuce, onion!! You can of course specify if you don't want to include any of these. In addition to the hot sandwiches, they have cold sandwiches, hot wings, liquor including some local beer cans sold individual, and some grocery items including frozen meals. My girlfriend and I live in NOPA and have been trying out different sandwich spots from around the neighborhood and this place has the BEST ones I've had yet. I tried the Chicken pesto avocado with pepper Jack on Dutch crunch and it was pretty perfect. Good amount of chicken and condiments. Boar's Head brand. Not overly dressed in sauce, just the right amount. Phenomenal crunch on the bread and they spread a layer of pesto on top and bottom before toasting it for a couple minutes. None of it was too messy and everything kept together. Each bite had everything in it, which is a sign that they know what they're doing. Didn't even need chips to eat with it. Certain other sandwich delis/corner shops might skimp you on the meat but these guys got your back. Definitely coming back for the other sandwiches. What a great find! My friend and I were looking for some food prior to a concert on campus and I'm so happy to find this gem. It look me a minute to figure out the place and the "deli" so ignore the aisles just go past the register and that little counter on the end is everything you want that you didn't know you did. I go to Cindy's Market quite regularly. This bodega has all the essentials for a neighborhood mini-market: flour, spices, eggs, juices, etc. I, however, come here mainly for their sandwiches. Their hot and cold sandwiches are priced fairly. They have a solid variety of meats and cheeses: pastrami, roast beef, turkey, etc. (I'll lobby though for their hot pastrami! Yum!) Most sandwiches are big and priced around $5.99. Of course, like most delis, they charge extra for cheese and avocado. In terms of bread, they have Dutch Crunch which is basically EVERYTHING when it comes to a quintessential San Francisco sandwich. They also have a chip & soda combo option that's an affordable add-on. That said, I usually can get all of this under $8 which is a good value in this city and in this neighborhood. Service is pretty good. The staff are friendly especially the ladies at the register and at the deli. They also have a regular clientele since every time I've stopped in, the staff seem to know half the people who walk through their doors. That's always a good sign. If you're in the mood for a no-frills but satisfying sandwich and/or need a few essentials but don't want to make the expedition to Lucky, Cindy's is your place! read more
