One day, I decided I wanted breakfast dessert at around 11am. Considering I just left the post office, this task seemed warranted, and luckily Cinnamon's bakery was available to help solve my dilemma. Located just off the freeway, this bakery is home to a small menu of baked breakfast rolls, kolaches, and machine-produced coffee drinks. When I entered, the lights were a little dim, but the place was cute-ish regardless. I didn't notice any baked goods adorning the counters, but I attribute that to the fact that I entered less than an hour before the place was scheduled to close. It did take a while though before I was even greeted in this almost barren place. After skimming the thankfully small menu, I decided to order a cinnamon roll and a cinnamon pecan sticky bun to go. I wish I had asked when the rolls were made since they were packed in a warmer, but that was not too-too important. When I arrived at home, I placed the cinnamon roll on a microwaveable plate, and heated it for about 30 seconds before i straight-up devoured it. Usually the cinnamon in cinnamon rolls can be overpowering, but these rolls had plenty of sugar to compensate. The dough was somehow soft, flaky on the outside, and just dense enough. In all transparency, I'm not the greatest fan of pecans, but the sticky buns were pretty phenomenal. This place is GREAT! I can't believe we have lived here so long and never tried it. The cinnamon rolls were HUGE, Warm and delicious!! Way better than Cinnabon. We will definitely be back! Oh, the Kolaches were also awesome, the little rolls they use are so yummy. read more

I've been here twice so far and I've gotten the cinnamon rolls and the jalapeno, sausage and cheese kolaches. The cinnamon rolls are slightly too sweet for my taste so I'm just gonna stick to the kolaches. The kolaches are slightly smaller than what I'm used to, but full of flavor. The dough is perfect, the sausage is juicy, and the jalapeno actually gives a kick. I will definitely be coming back for more kolaches! read more

I ordered kolaches, cinnamon rolls and pecan rolls. The dough for the kolaches was good but the sausage was a cheap brand. Cinnamon rolls were good but not like Cinnabon. There was a generous portion of pecans. I also had a blueberry muffin that my wife liked. read more

Listen... I went into this place intentionally wanting Subway a few stores down but I don' know how I drifted over this place... OMG I got the sticky bun with pecans and icing drizzled on top can you say AWESOME!! Plus I got there right before they closed and got the "Sticky Bun deal of a life time" 2 for one!!! I'm from New York and I've traveled a lot and that being said this place is the real deal. Even sitting here the guy who I think is the owner was nice polite. These pecan sticky rolls are unbelievable!!! The place is so charming with its outdated (in the best sense of the word)-family-run-simplicity. The staff was impressively friendly and helpful for 7 in the morning. But their crowning glory is by far those pecan rolls! And the jalapeño kolache is a perfect balance of soft bread with a hint of sweetness, sausage, cheese, and just the right amount of jalapeño heat. Yummy. Just yummy. This place was pretty good! Just as good as Cinnabon, but cheaper. Kolaches were one of the best that I've had. Really nice people, so nice that the cashier said he would open a tab on me since I was under the limit of 5 dollars when paying with a card! I got in my car and went back cause i felt wrong for not paying, so I ended up getting 2 rolls. Let me tell you it was worth going over the 5 dollar limit. I'll just take cash next time! read more

Total hole in the wall place. 80s style cafe that's not much to look at. Who needs the look when the food is Amazing!?! The pecan roll and cinnamon roll were delicious. I have been a loyal Cinnabon customer since I was little and I never thought I'd say I found somewhere that rivals them! Recommend this place 100%. Soo good! Stopped here on a Sunday morning around 11AM for a cinnamon roll and kolache, after having bookmarked this place a couple of weeks ago. The owners were super helpful and showed me the 3 flavors they had for the rolls and told me about the kolache selection as well. I ended up getting one of each cinnamon roll (regular, pecan, apple) and the owner even gave me a free sample of something she'd just tested out that morning. Really nice people and amazing cinnamon rolls that are reasonably priced. I only wish they had a kolache without meat (I'm a vegetarian). I will definitely be coming back. read more

Love stopping here on the way to work. I usually just get a couple jalapeno, sausage, and cheese kolaches, but I've also had the small cinnamon rolls. Great for when you just want a couple for breakfast or if you want to buy for the whole office. (On busy mornings like Friday, you might want to call in a couple minutes early if you have a big office order and you're in a hurry or else you might have to wait a few minutes.) Hands down the best cinnamon rolls around. The large rolls are HUGE. The minis are for the dainty. Yes, there's a middle sized roll for the momma bears as well. If you time it right, you'll catch them making the rolls. It's more satisfying than a trip to the confectioner's store in Galveston where they make their own candies (Cinnamons uses the full baking space). I've taken these across town for my co-workers who were quite impressed with their size and flavor. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality. I'm a bit picky with my coffee, so I usually home brew but what they have is good for my caffeine fix (I'm not a fan of "burnbucks"). I quite like their kolaches, also homemade. It's easy to tell what kind you have (they put the indicator on top: cheese is a small square of cheese, jalapeño for the spicy, plain for good ol' sausage). As far as flour on the kolaches, as one reviewer posted, that's called homemade not machine made. Flour keeps it from sticking to your hands when you work the raw dough. Seating is adequate and well spaced. Wifi is available, though I'm unsurprisingly focused on this HUGE, sweet, delectable treat to notice my phone. There's not much talking in the area, but when they're serving you, you feel like you're the only one there. I'd definitely ask the origins of the name. Not sure if it would matter to most, but I am almost willing to bet this place made the cinnamon rolls I tried to sell for a fund raiser as a kid in elementary or junior high (sales is not my thing).
