We love coming for taco Sunday. we entered and this place had a strong septic bathroom smell . Not sure why . Went to woman's bathroom smell pretty bad . We ordered our tacos very very good . The water is very bad tasting. Good service.

Placed order over the phone! A few of us at the office decided to order lunch from a local restaurant in Marana. We all decided to order burgers! It's two patty burger with all the fixings! The burger was great. Definitely going to order from there again!

Rare to medium. Simple little flavor but pure joy of this perfect grilled beef. Side dish's are great too. Other than the peppers on fire, the serious Brussels sprouts were great too. Services were wonderful for us. Very nice lobby for the business dinner. Will come back again.

I tried to make reservations at another restaurant beforehand known for their prime rib, but they were booked full. So I reserved this place. Upon our arrival we entered the door on the right hand side of the building. We told them the name our reservation was under and they said it was for the restaurant next door on the left side of the building. It was for the more upscale restaurant as mentioned by the host. They have two restaurants by the same name that sit opposite of each other. I hear their counterpart is just as good. We entered the building from the left and told the host the name the reservation was under. The host wasn't as attentive as she should have been. She hardly even looked as us. We were standing there and she seemed to be busy with something else. No ' it'll be just a few minutes', nothing. She was talking with the other ladies. Finally we were seated. Our server was very nice. We decided on two steak dinners. My wife had the 8oz filet and I got the rib-eye both med-rare. Our steaks look good when we received it. But my steak was served rare! It was chewy and fatty. I chewed for days just to get a single piece down. My wife steak was overcooked to medium. There's nothing worse than an overcooked filet mignon! We don't like sending food back for obvious reasons. We've heard too many horror stories, not to mention I use to work in the food industry. As I mentioned, our server was very nice and attentive as well! She constantly checked on us and my tip reflected that! For a $170.00 bill, our meal was mediocre at best. Thanks for ending my wife's Mother's Day on a sour note!

Had a great afternoon with friends this time around. The service was friendly and efficient, the beers were nice and cold, and the burgers were scrumptious, especially paired with their steak fries, which I really enjoy. Like my previous visit, the only challenge here is the food line, which can get very long. We got lucky and arrived just before the queue exploded. Overall, still a fantastic spot to gather with friends, enjoy the outdoor vibe, and soak up a beautiful Arizona afternoon -- just try to time your visit before the big rush. Saluti.

We ordered Poseiden's Plate. My husband chose the filet mignon, lobster, and shrimp. I ordered the same but swapped the shrimp for scallops. The puffs, soup, noodles, shrimp, rice, and the filet mignon were our favorites. Our waitress and chef were friendly and talented and made dinner feel fun. They sang the birthday song in Japanese and brought out ice cream with a candle and surprised us with a printed photo. It was such a thoughtful touch. We also shared the Dragon Zodiac Bowl. It tasted like a yummy Shirley Temple with a twist. Very good but definitely on the lighter side if you are expecting something strong. A couple of things to note. We called ahead and were told we did not need a reservation but still waited about fifteen to twenty minutes. If you are going for Teppan Yaki it is better to make a reservation since those tables are separate from the regular dining area. When we were seated we were the only ones at the table. I asked if we could sit in the center and the hostess said maybe after soup and salad. A few minutes later the waitress, not the hostess, brought another group and let everyone know we could spread out and sit wherever we wanted. That made it much more comfortable and we moved to the center. Overall it was a yummy meal and a fun Teppan Yaki experience with really thoughtful birthday touches.

The space is cozy and full of character, though the limited basement footprint means it's not the most intimate setting if you're looking for a quiet, private dinner. The food was outstanding from start to finish. The lamb lollipops were perfectly prepared and packed with flavor, the potato and artichoke dish was a delicious and unexpected standout, and both the veal and Wagyu carpaccio were excellent. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The house-made jam cocktails were especially memorable--creative, unique, and absolutely delicious. It's refreshing to find a cocktail program that offers something different from the usual menu. Service was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the evening, adding to the overall experience. If you're looking for great food, inventive cocktails, and a distinctive atmosphere with historic charm, Rough Rider is well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

He then confirmed we were still within the happy hour window and offered to bring us a menu. They used to have an extensive happy hour menu featuring several drinks and food items and now their "happy hour menu" consists of a cheeseburger for $22. Not sure that that really constitutes as a happy hour menu... I asked him why they changed the menu and he put up his hands as if to say he's not to blame and said he doesn't have anything to do with those decisions. He said that "management decided to make a few substitutions but they're pretty good" and didn't provide any further elaboration. I ordered the appetizer lamb lollipops which had four small pieces for $25. My friend decided to try the "happy hour" cheeseburger and he said it was good but it did appear a bit overpriced for an average burger with a pretty hefty serving of french fries. I really wasn't impressed by the quality of the food, the portion size, the price, or the service. Unfortunately, I'll be taking Rough Rider off my list of regular places i frequent and restaurants I recommend to others.

It was busy for a Monday night just before 6pm and were told it would be a short wait for a table so we sat at the bar for a cocktail. We appreciated the bartender trying to be a little creative for my husband's rum drink and the fact that he muddled EXTRA cucumber for my Cool Water drink. Note: the online menu says the drink is made with cucumber infused vodka but the bartender said it's regular vodka hence the extra muddling! Before both drinks were served, our table was ready! Our server was Carol and she does a great job and is quite personable. We ordered the appetizer assortment which consisted of Sonoran Chiles, Pork Rib Tips, and Corn Fritters. Neither of us liked the Sonoran Chiles (a poblano completely STUFFED with meat) but that's a personal preference or dislike, I liked the corn fritters although a little mushy and the pork rib tips were tasty but tough. For dinner we each did a T-bone, mine with tamale pie and his a loaded baked potato. Everything was perfection. Carol brought out a slice of Adobe Mud Pie on the house to celebrate my husband's birthday and we also took a slice of cheesecake home. Yeah, we are gluttons, LOL. A few more drinks were had during dinner as well including a Dirty Bird, extra dirty....delicious! Only a couple thing preventing me from rating El Corral 5 stars. 1) no cucumber infused vodka for the cucumber drink 2) the very tough rib tips (those tips prevented me from ordering ribs for dinner as I just didn't trust that they'd be fall off the bone tender 3) we ordered the Timmy's Steak Butter but Carol told us they were out since they were slammed the night before. Why on earth wouldn't the kitchen make more for the next evening? Carol did come back after serving our entrees with a bit of the steak butter she found and it was delicious on the steak however we liked the Cowboy Steak Butter much more. El Corral screams Tucson to me and I really hope they will be around for many generations to come.
