The most amazing breakfast burritos! Perfect ratio of eggs, potatoes, cheese and meat. The owner Sandy is also the sweetest lady! She always remembers us and is super hard working! All the food is fresh and made to order. Just an absolute gem of a place

Came here for breakfast and forgot this place existed... super reasonably priced and the owner is so friendly and caring. Parking is ample, but the entrance is in the garage and I needed to hit the handicap door opener to get in as this place opens at 7am, but city hall opens at 8am. Plenty of choices and the super (mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers) breakfast burrito was amazing and flavorful. Will come back for sure!

I'm a sucker for their breakfast sandwiches. Everything here is made to order. Breakfast croissant with egg, cheese, sausage and you can ask for their burrito sauce for a bit of spice to it. Sandy is great and really nice. I heard their Korean breakfast burritos are good, so I guess I'll have to try that next.

This wonderful cafe has reopened after being shutdown for a remodel (not to mention COVID). It is still open to the public. It is still run by the friendly Sandy and her team. This morning, I had a delicious bagel and coffee. I look forward to trying their lunch specials. It is located inside City Hall, on Level/Floor A. Directions: Go into the underground parking garage; go into City Hall through the door marked with the large "A"; go right down a short hallway to the doors marked "Cafeteria." That's it!

Bulgogi rice with egg and kimchi

So happy I found this place! I don't think I can get a rice meal anywhere in University Ave Downtown Palo Alto for under 13USD. And yet here it is: a bulgogi rice with egg and kimchi. Such a great find! Sandy, the woman who runs the cafe, was also so warm and friendly. I promised to head back to order a bibimbap, which I'm not sure if it's a regular on the menu. Edit: I went back for the Bibimbap a week later and it's good! It's a Thursday treat and it's hefty. So full!

Definitely worth getting the umami fries as they were seasoned to perfection. A perfect starting side! Horsefeather is a perfect brunch spot to stop by and try in this Old Town and Country Palo Alto plaza. I have never heard of this chain nor in their other locations before and was definitely satisfied afterwards with their great dishes and their aesthetically modern decorated interior. The dishes here are American so you'd get what you typically get for breakfast from scrambles to French Toast, and we ordered the French Toast, the Chicken and Waffles, and a Salad during our visit here. All of what was ordered was perfect and beautifully plated upon arrival and out of all that was ordered, I have to say the chicken and waffles with their matcha butter & syrup was their standout dish. I have never seen matcha infused with butter but it was perfect and complimented the waffle just right. The chicken was fried and juicy inside and the waffle in general was toasted with just the right amount of crisp on the outside and soft interior. French Toast was a definite close contender too, where the toast was still gooey soft as expected and served with syrup & cream on the side. Salad was good but nothing too extraordinary about it. The staff here were all very nice and on a busy lunch day, I was surprised & pretty sure just lucky was able to get a table in less than 10 min on a Sunday. For weekend brunch, Horsefeather is a perfect spot to visit & enjoy the pre-afternoon before enjoying Palo Alto. I would highly recommend checking this place out and will definitely be back for more.

Our favorites were the kimchi deviled eggs, the miso linguini pasta, and the yuzu dessert. One thing I did notice was the seating arrangement. I had seen another Yelp review mentioning that they were seated right next to another party despite the restaurant being mostly empty, and we had a similar experience. Even with plenty of open tables, we were seated directly beside another group, making it easy to hear each other's conversations. It wasn't a huge issue, but a little more spacing would have made the dining experience feel more comfortable. Overall, the food and service were great.

It's so soft and with the butter melting on it it's just the perfect texture and a little sweet. I could eat a whole loaf of this. Must get. The sesame pancakes reminded me of a chinese dish. The avocado and salmon dip was interesting! I didn't expect that. It took some getting used to. The yellowfin rice was good, though raw fish being warm is a little weird to me. I don't think this is a must get. I liked the flavors otherwise. The octopus was one of my favorites. I loved the sauce for it and the jalapeños were a nice touch! The pork chop was one of my favorites as well!! I love how it was experimented with peaches; I'd never think to try those together but it works. The short rib steak was amazing! It's suuuper tender and I'm still thinking about it. Though I probably wouldn't eat it with the green beans; it didn't seem to go well together but it did with the mushrooms. The service is great here; they even took a napkin that was hung on my chair and folded it neatly onto the table again. I wish the portion sizes were bigger here overall, when you share with four people you're only getting like a bite each and for the prices even though it's a fancier place I'd expect to get a litttleee more (i've seen other fancy places have bigger sizes)

There's a beautiful outdoor area in the back with tons of tables. Even though it was super busy, we still had our choice of a few tables, and the foliage/patio umbrellas make it nice and shady. Our food was also delicious! We got: Prosciutto and egg sandwich - eggs were super light and fluffy, and the sandwich was well balanced and cheesy too! Fat and fluffy French toast - such a generous portion and the berries and whipped cream were so yummy! The toast itself had crispy edges and was super fluffy! Mid week brunch meant a quieter atmosphere and open seating. After perusing the menu we ordered at the counter before sitting at a table after picking up utensils and water. We ordered Fambrini's Breakfast, Brie & Mushroom Omelette, Crab Omelette, and shares the Lotus Biscoff Pancakes. Everyone loved their egg platters. The eggs were perfectly light and fluffy. I generally avoid omelettes getting scrambles instead because restaurants tend to overcook the eggs. Our dishes were prepared with quality and flavor in mind. I personally had the crab omelette and left no crumbs behind. The potatoes were well seasoned and wish I had enough room in my tummy to finish them off! The drip coffee was bold and delicious not watered down at all! Finally, we shared the 2 stack biscoff pancakes for a sweet finish. The pancakes were bouncy with biscoff sauce and a mound of whipped cream. This was mouth wateringly delicious. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was so yummy. This isn't a traditional sit down service but counter staff were friendly and efficient. There is a small parking lot off to the side and there is indoor and patio seating. Come by for a meal and you won't be disappointed! I wish I lived closer so I could taste the rest of their meal. Kudos and thanks for an awesome meal!

Cafe Vivant has a new chef, formerly from Oxalis, a 1 Michelin star in Brooklyn. Parking is plentiful and easy around the restaurant. Made a reservation for dinner and my table was ready upon arrival. Dining is available inside the luxurious dining room, outdoors, or at the fancy bar. Staff throughout the evening were fantastic. Started off with the dungeness crab crepe which was ok. The crab wasn't super duper fresh. The crepe was just a freshly made tortilla. Moved on to the white asparagus tempura which was unfortunately heavily salted... The tempura batter was light and the asparagus was tasty. Even the dipping sauce was tasty. The agnolotti verde was excellent. The pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection. The snow pea tips were tasty although some were quite "old." The grilled half chicken may have been the highlight of the meal. This was my first time having Heritage chicken and it was quite tasty. The chicken was grilled to perfection. The meat was very juicy and flavorful, including the breast. The skin was grilled crispy and lightly salted. Excellent. The short rib entree was decent. The short rib felt overcooked, especially after being seared on the grill. The side sauces were decent. It was interesting that none of the entrees had any side dishes, for vegetables as an example. Again, most, if not all of the photos were from the previous chef, which was different... There is no longer any mention of a pastry chef on the website which is a bummer. The desserts were lacklustre...definitely not worth the $15 for the chocolate and hazelnut. The ice cream was a huge miss as it seemed to be lacking in dairy...it felt like it was made using skim milk....yikes. ~$125/head after tax and gratuity, including a 5% employer mandates.

The interior is lovely as is the location on Santa Cruz Ave. The service was warm and friendly. Let's cut to the food. After mentally processing $19 for a single chicken nugget (with caviar on top), I was able to order. We had a few "bites" (nugget, egg salad, beet tarte), then some starters (salads, duck pate), and then one whole bird and one steak. Overall the food was very good. The presentations beautiful. Through some ~$20 bites on top of a regular heathily-priced meal, along with some good wines by the glass, and I think we spent $550-something for three people. Nugget: good, not worth $19. Egg salad: surprisingly good but the egg salad is hidden inside the brioche and they need more egg salad per unit brioche. Beet tarte: very good Pate: home run Salads: good Whole bird: very good but wasn't blown away like I was hoping to be. Hint: use the jus and sea salt. Puree: (mashed potatoes) stunningly good Steak: really good, maybe the star of the evening
