Initial check to see status of the colony.

James is THE GUY for safe live bee relocation. A few days ago, we were enjoying outside time with our dogs, when one of them sniffed something and jumped back. It turned out that bees had moved in under the garden shed, and were flying in and out of the little drainage hole and generally "beeing" a little too scary for us. We quickly got the dogs inside (especially one of them, who LOVES to eat bugs or anything that crawls). Orkin were due to come the next day, and they took a look and said it would be a job for a specialist, who would have to come and cut open the shed floor and take out the honeycomb etc. and they would refer someone to me but it could cost as much as $2200........ So far nothing from Orkin, zero follow up. I did a lot of online searching and after seeing James' reviews on Yelp for CJ Bee Services, I contacted him. James came out the next day and set my mind at rest. He said by the fact we only just started seeing the bees and because he was not seeing them carrying any pollen, he was confident that they had not yet started on the honeycomb and that, even though there might be just a few scouts or it could be many bees, he still felt we got it in time, before they started making honey! James treated the entrance and the colony did a mass exit (a LOT of bees) and after some serious outside re-grouping they buzzed off somewhere else. James then treated the area some more and blocked the holes so they didn't try to move back in. He recommended that we keep the dogs inside for a few days, as there would be some stragglers - which there were. I guess those ones didn't want to move house again! But by day two, they were ALL gone. Now we have our tranquility and safety back, the bees were unharmed and free to find new accommodation, and the dogs are back to playing in the yard. The price was very fair and I'm so pleased with James' punctuality, skill, BRAVERY, and for doing such great work with nature's little honey-makers. Thank you, James.

Fantastic service! James removed the beehive quickly and safely from my property in Reseda. Super professional, friendly, and respectful of the environment. Highly recommend.

Fixed the problem when Orkin failed. Compassionate bee removal. Literally had hundreds of bees in a hole on my outside wall.

I'd like to update my review since my first stellar review was for the initial estimate process…read moreonly and I said I would update (but forgot). It's been 5 years and we've had plenty of people up in our attic since Rodent Masters completed our job and any time someone goes up there, I beg them to check and double check to ensure there are no rodent droppings. During this time, we have not heard a peep in the attic which is a complete 180 from what we were hearing before - it always sounded like the rats were having a party up there in the middle of the night. The process took about a month from start to finnish because the first thing they do is cover and patch all holes or entrances up so that nothing can get in (or out) and not just outside of the house but inside the attic and inside every single area from within the house. It's a LOT of work but they did it very well. Then, they came back and, in our case, because things were so bad, they sucked out all of the insulation and then reinsulated the entire attic with much higher quality material than what had been removed. Then they came back on final time to ensure there was no activity. So, I have no reason not to continue recommending Rodent Masters and I have for the last 5 years. I do think I will contact them soon though just to have someone do a walk around to ensure there are no new holes that have developed since they were last here. Highly recommend and I'm glad to see that the reviews continue to be outstanding since the one I gave 5 years ago!

ONE STAR FOR SHOWING UP ON TIME. ZERO STARS FOR EVERYTHING THAT MATTERED…read more I hired Rodent Masters because I have documented ongoing rat activity around my private patio at my apartment for approximately a year. I have five security cameras recording the activity, including rats repeatedly on the ground in my private patio where my small dog walks and sniffs. I explained the situation to Max in detail, including how distressed I was, and told him I was prepared to pay for an exterminator's help myself. At their request, I obtained my landlord's permission for them to perform the work. The day before the appointment, I went even further: I sent Max a five-page presentation with photographs and a diagram of my property, identifying suspected burrows, storage areas with rat activity/droppings, openings I wanted sealed, the water-heater closet, planters/root systems and other possible nesting and entry locations. I also explained that I have a small dog and wanted safe, enclosed trapping options. I specifically asked whether they could perform the work the same day if possible. The technician arrived on time, but the inspection I expected simply did not happen. He focused on whether rats might be inside my apartment even though I had reported an outdoor problem. When I asked whether he had seen my presentation, he told me it was "at the office." He did not open and inspect the storage cupboards where I had reported rat activity and droppings. He did not investigate the suspected burrows. He did not seal any openings. He looked directly at an opening into one of my storage areas and did nothing about it. Most incredibly, while standing on my patio he explained that rats like protected areas around water heaters, yet he never even opened the doors to inspect the two water heaters I had specifically identified in my presentation. After all of this, the primary recommendation I received was to buy mountain lion or fox urine and spray it myself. After I complained, Max initially told me in writing that he was "very confused" because he had forwarded my list to the technician and explained the situation to him. He later said they were trying to "save me money" and the technician did not want to take my money "by just setting traps." That explanation makes no sense. This was supposed to be a free estimate. I never told anyone I was on a budget. I had specifically asked whether they could do the work that same day and was prepared to pay. Nobody even gave me an estimate or presented treatment options and allowed me to decide what I wanted to spend. Max also brought up my doggie door afterward. I did not tell Max about a doggie door the day before. I mentioned it casually to the technician while we were already standing on my patio. I never reported rats inside my apartment. He insisted on coming in and looking under my sink and told me I had no evidence of rat existence. My complaint is simple: I hired a rodent professional to investigate documented rat activity, identify nesting/entry areas, recommend appropriate trapping and exclusion, and give me an estimate. Instead, the specific areas I identified were not meaningfully investigated, no holes were sealed, I received no estimate, and I was essentially told to buy predator urine. Had Max simply told me after receiving my five-page presentation that this wasn't the type of work they were going to perform, I would have thanked him and continued looking for another company. Instead, I stopped searching because I believed help was coming the next morning. That lost time matters when you are already dealing with an ongoing problem. I also let Max know how traumatized I was by these rats and how I wasn't sleeping at night. He seemed so empathetic and told me not to worry. Why pretend you want to help and then lie about our initial conversation. P.S. I saw another reviewer say someone from this company arrived in an unmarked white van, which the company disputed in its response. The technician who came to my home also arrived in an unmarked white van, and I have the security-camera footage showing it.

Furthermore, Ceasar and crew not only full proof the house, interior and exterior, including attic and securing the crawl space, but they also replaced a rotting floor board in my kitchen and patio. Thanks fellas for a job well done! Sorry for the long overdue review, but we also just decluttered the garage and no remnants of rodents!

Leo was amazing! First off, when I called Leo's Home…read moreSolutions, they picked up the call right away and were able to give me 2 appointment options for a specific window of time for the next day! Leo was very thorough and professional, after the walk through consultation and then proceeding with a protocol and solution, I felt much more at ease & safer with his expertise! Calming my completely freaked state of mind! He found 2 openings on the exterior of my house and fixed them: put a screen over the exposed gable vent, quickly & impeccably, as well as covered an open vent pipe on the roof Also, as I was scrolling through all the exterminator options, I realized I didn't want a van that screamed exterminator in front of my house! Besides the name "Leo's Home Solutions", being nicely "general", I got a great feeling of the work Leo's company could provide from the glowing reviews and I was right! Everything was at an extremely fair price too! I highly recommend Leo's Home Solutions!
