Fantastic Adventure into Sherwood!!! My wife and I jumped on the motorcycle today and we ended up at Clancy's....... What a great Idea!! I am a fan of a fantastic burger and always trying to find the best of the best and this place is in my top 5 for sure. The best part was My wife ordered the Ruben and I always love seeing her smile. And smile she did when she bit into this house made corned beef monster of a sandwich. Just the right amount of sauerkraut and thousand Island dressing with the large slices of corned beef. Not shredded but sliced thick. OMG The Burger was by far superb and I am not one to not finish a sandwich but this bad boy had me on the ropes. I ordered the Clancy and it was absolutely fantastic. Nice little place downtown Sherwood. We have dined in and done take out. Service is excellent, even on busy nights. Burgers are really good!

Salty and gross bar food. Everything is overpriced beyond belief, drinks included. Fries are ALWAYS undercooked and burgers manage to be soggy mmmmmm which is weird since it was just ordered. You can tell the microwave everything. A 1/4 glass of Kendall Jackson is like almost 10 bucks. It's crazy. They overserve alcohol so it's always super drunk and loud people in the patio that then get in their cars and drive. read more

This is how you treat your customers that leave a bad review? So I got sick from eating there, we both ate onion rings. All I can say is please check the oil the onion rings are fried in. I'm absolutely disgusted that you would even send me this kind of message and will never dine here again. Happy now? Super tasty! After white knuckle drive to Sherwood from Portland to return a truck in the snow, my aunt suggested we come here for lunch. Heads up, it's a seat yourself situation. Once settled in, the waiter came over and handed us our menus and took our orders pretty quickly. The menu is fairly extensive so it took us awhile to settle on what we wanted. We ended up getting fish tacos, fish 'n' chips & a burger. It didn't take long for the food to come out but the atmosphere was cozy and the Seahawks were on so I wouldn't have minded one way or another. I sampled a fish taco, yum. But my fish 'n' chips were far and away my favorite. Fresh halibut perfectly breaded with crispy "chips" er fries. Some of my favorite fish 'n' chips I have found in Oregon, frankly. Everyone at our tables was satisfied with their selections. Being a Sunday, we took our time eating, drinking & talking but our server never made us feel rushed while making sure we had everything we need. I'm not in Sherwood a ton, but I would make this my go-to stop when I am. read more

Hope you like pickles. I would go back for the libation menu, atmosphere and friendliness of the front-of-house staff. Regrettably, the food is another matter. Although it's basically delicious, the seeming inability of the kitchen to understand the importance of giving the guest their order as ordered sharply curtailed my enjoyment. On two separate occasions, I've specified no vegetables, including pickle, on my Clancy Burger only to receive pickle on the side, even after I very clearly stated I did not want them present in any manner. This in turn rendered the bottom bun of the burger and a nontrivial proportion of the fries inedible to my taste. Since the kitchen staff seems to think "I don't want pickle anywhere near my food" means "please give me extra pickles" based on two separate visits, I find it very difficult to recommend the food. However, the front-of-house staff is very accommodating, the atmosphere is imported Olde Worlde Irish pub which I love, the lottery machines paid out well and the array of beverages make it a great hangout. If they could just get a handle on the kitchen, I'd be much more inclined to return and give them my custom in future. read more

I love this place! The bar/restaurant in town to hang out and see all those faces you pass week after week at the soccer field or dropping your kids of at school. I drove down to Sherwood to visit Clancy's. They used to have one in Vancouver Washington and we wanted to try it and it was great. The halibut fish-and-chips are amazing. Today they had a street fair so it was a limited menu but still worth driving for. We will definitely go back. Wait staff was great friendly and fast. The rueben is amazing. This is the best place to go for St. Patrick's day! They have an amazing program they put on. The food and drinks are great! Their fish & chips and clam chowder are awesome! Even their salads are great too. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner! The Happy Hour is a great deal too! Other items to try are their tater tots, hamburgers, fish tacos and usually their special of the day. I also would suggest leaving the kids at home, many times and days there are no kids allowed. It is worth a trip to go and try their food. The staff is always helpful and fast. If it's busy, then just be patient but it's worth it! read more

Walking in it looks like a big open pub but is family oriented. It was quite busy at the time and my husband and I found a small table against the back wall in the corner.. We must of timed it just right though. Customers started to leave after what must of been quite a lunch rush. Good thing because we only saw one server and wondered if she even know that we walked in. It is definitely a local place. The over 70s 'mens club' lined all the seats along the bar visiting and watching the 5 plus tv screens above the bar. At one table dad was playing cards with his young son of about 10 and a mom with two young boys sat at a table next to us. The boys, about 7 years old, started reading their books while mom visited with the cook. Some local hangouts you can feel out of place but we did not feel that here. It did not take long at all for the server to bring menus and ask what we would like to drink. The menu is quite extensive from breakfast to filet mignon. We opted for the California Burger and Halibut Fish 'n Chips. The burger was moist. Not quite medium rare like ordered but still good. The Halibut pieces were a nice size and also prepared well. The sides ( onion rings, and tots ) were more then we could eat, even though I tried my hardest with he onion rings. I had their homemade Bloody Mary. It was spices with a bite, but it lacked other flavors making it more just a spice tomato juice. It was not worth the price. The service was great. There are many tempting items on the menu. The quality of food and service is not worth the hefty price tag. Almost $3 to sub for French fries with no warning. Felt rushed to give our table up that I didn't even have time to order another drink before the bill was on the table. This review is for one item: The Reuben Sandwich. It is hands down the best Reuben I've ever had and I've had those overrated ones from NYC. It's loaded with house made corned beef, cheese, sauerkraut and sauce on a toasted marble rye. I don't even like sandwiches-only this one! They will ask you if you want fries or just the small bag of chips. If you want to eat it all get the chips. Or get the fries and save the second half for tomorrow. 1st time in and was so dissatisfied. The woman serving us was rude and showed no common courtesy. If fact she basically ignored us. However listening to her serve the table of 8 next to us, we knew she could show common courtesy. The food was burnt and pretty much inedible. First time eating at Clancy's. The deep fried zucchini was such a hit. There was plenty for the three of us to share. One of us got a salad that had generous toppings. And two of us got sandwiches. My family has gone to Clancy's for years and enjoyed our food every single time! My father and I went in yesterday (July 5, 2020) and had lunch. Not many people were in there, maybe just a handful. I would bet due to the holiday weekend and COVID-19. Food was the bomb and the waitress was helpful and sweet. Only thing that bugged my dad, was at the time there was no one else in there and for the life of him, he couldn't get the waitresses attention to order more food. He almost stood up and walked up to the bar, short of waving his hands. With no one else in the place, didn't make much sense why she wouldn't look our way every so often. I love their trivia night! Ellen is a wonderful host and really hits a diversity of subjects-- every Tuesday at 730. The staff is really friendly when you make an effort to get to know them, but they are busy. They make it feel like the neighborhood bar that it is.
