Absolutely terrible service Barbacoa tacos were very good but the sides need help. Bar needs some attention.

This place is a hit and miss. Gamble between if it'll be really good or an off experience. My tacos today were flavorless. And there wasn't enough meat in the tacos. Host is friendly. Not sure why there are any bad reviews for this place. Maybe I have had a string of good luck. I have eaten here two times in as many days. Had a steak burrito the first night and a Vaquero burger the second...both nights with a beer. The portions are generous and you cannot beat the quality and prices. Great place to go for a beer or help cure a hangover. The clamato combinations are super tasty and they don't skimp out on the toppings. I haven't been for happy hour, but given all the small bites they have, this would be a great place to go. Lots of popular "Mexican" snacks. There's no shortage of cucumber and chile options, which I happen to be a huge fan of. Haven't tried any of their tacos or quesadillas, but everything on their menu sounds/looks yummy. read more

Well where do I begin. I spend most of the month traveling but when i come to this place it makes me feel like home. The food has an authentic Mexican taste. It give me the feeling that I am at home. If you've never had a Clamato make sure you try it here for the first time. The tacos the burgers the burritos will make you feel that you are somewhere in Mexico. Worst service I have yet to experience. Super pushy to eat outside, severs said it was a heated patio, only one heater worked. They said they sent someone to get new tanks for the other heaters, 2 hours later there is still no sign of tanks. One of our plates, a fairly easy plate to prep mind you was the last to arrive. We had to go inside to even ask where it was. We saw our server maybe twice, he showed no concern for how cold we were. I will not be returning. Drinks are a nice idea and are pretty to look out but the overall experience isn't worth a chamoy stick and frozen mango pieces. Pretty disappointing. read more

Mmmmmm mmmmm! I had the shrimp tacos, side of charro beans and rice. Hubby had chicken tacos. Everything was served super hot! Perfect! We asked them to change one of the channels on their Tv's to Golf, and our waiter did right away. My wine came from a small bottle, one of those they give you on the plane. Not what I was hoping for, but I just pretended I was on a beautiful vacation and that was all that was available. The hubby had Sculpin IPA...one of his favorites. The beer could have been colder, but it was great. This is a great place to bring an out of towner, or a great spot if your staying at the nearby hotels. I've visited twice this week. Once to dine in and once to carry out. The service was great. I highly recommend the Buffalo wings.

Kind of torn about this. I didn't seek the place out but picked it because it was next to a hotel I was staying at and didn't want to travel far after traveling all day. I think maybe trying it a few more times the rating would go up. But here we go. The service was good, Chris the waiter was energetic and the waiters helped each other watch the tables. Good team work. I ordered my appetizer and entree at the same time so no minus points for it coming a little after. Instead of waiting they got the entree out. The appetizer was Toro eggs, bacon wrapped cream cheese stuffed jalapeno peppers. When I saw the serving size was just 4 I was kind of skittish but when they came out I was pleased. These are not your local supermarket small peppers. They were at least 4 inches long. They also had a little heat, more than most places. Very tasty indeed. For the entree I had the barbacoa taco.This was where the disappointment began. I felt the portions were little small for the price. The barbacoa was a disappointment. It was shredded very fine making it dry, it came out cold and had very little taste. The various sauces and sides were good and added some flavor to the meal. I'm not sure I will get a chance to go back, too bad maybe if I tried a few more items my rating might go up. read more

Been supporting this business since they opened on Montana. Great place to do lunch, dinner, or just hang with a buddy over a cold beer. Recently visited this location for lunch. I left a pair of sunglasses that meant so much to me, because they were given to me by my wife. Contacted the manager and they were returned. Thank you Moises for holding on to them for me. We rolled into El Paso late twice in the last year on our way to California. Staying at a local hotel we walked over to Classico to order our food to go, last year and right now. Both times we were very pleasantly surprised with ultra fresh food, well prepared and very tasty. This year we ordered a Nortena burger that was fantastic, two orders of tacos and a burrito. All were fantastic. I highly recommend Classico especially for late night but fresh food. read more

We waited 42 minutes at the drive thru to get our order. Once we got it the food there was no baked potato. We complained to the clerk who said they were out of them. No apologies were given to us. This was my second time here and it was such an awful experience. We got seated fairly quickly but only to wait. I have to admit we were warned that our food would take about 20min to come out, but in reality it took about an hour. The waiter forgot to bring almost anything that we had asked for additionally (Tabasco, another beer,etc.). By the time we got the additional item we were almost done with our food or drinks. On top of all that we got seated outside, the curtain that formed the outside room was broken and kept hitting us every time the wind came through and half way through our meal the heat lamp stopped working and didn't get fixed until after we were done with our meal. We requested to be moved inside but there was no room. I spoke with the manager about our experience and got an apology and a customer survey. If you want salmonella by sunset, stop by Classico west! Yesterday we had gone to Classico for a michielada and had ordered some of their buffalo chicken strips to share. We had started to eat them when we noticed that the chicken wasn't cooked all the way through in any of the pieces! We told our waitress and gave her the food to take back and to tell her manager. We were waiting for the manager to come out and he never did. Our waitress came back and gave us our check and apologized for what had happened. The manager, Moises didn't seem to care enough to come out to the table and apologize. We told our waitress we didn't feel like it was fair that she was still charging us and asked her to tell Moises to come out. He eventually came out and when he got to the table he didn't say a word and put his hands on his hips waiting for us to say something. We told him what regulars we were and that we didn't feel like it was fair for us to pay the tab. He just grabbed the check, said "ok" and walked inside. I was super disappointed by the way he handled the situation especially because we loved going there. Our waitress Fabiola was very helpful and apologetic about the whole situation, she acted better than the manager! read more
