The grooming is good, we always like the cut and my dog smells much better for about a week. The only problem is the past three times our dog got ear infections (he is a cocker spaniel mix). We have had to stop going because the vet visits after grooming were expensive. I'm not sure whether this is unique to cocker spaniels, but we are now grooming at home. I am so upset. I took my daughter's 7 month old Pom for his 1st big boy cut to what research told me was Plano's second best groomer. (Plano's #1 evidently isn't taking new customers) I digress. When we dropped him off I should have walked away when they showed me the carpet choices of hair length and asked which one we wanted, but I pointed to Pomeranian on THEIR business card and said "I want him to look like this". The very nice girl at the counter asked went to the groomer and then came back and said pointed out the hair samples and said they would use the longest setting for his body but make sure his head was longer and more teddy bear shaped. At this point I flat out stated "I do NOT want him to look like a teddy bear. He is a long hair Pom." She said ok we will just leave it longer and fuller around the face. Once more before I left I made sure to say I wanted him to look like the one on the card and we definitely didn't want a teddy bear cut. When we picked him up he was scared to death and shivering. Now this could definitely be because he is spoiled rotten and a drama kind and we never leave him alone. But the groomer was like "He's kennel shy and doesn't want to come out." Ummmm.....maybe he was scared because you gauged his ear!!!! Anyway, I'm not trying to get a meal for free so I paid my bill and a little tip. Because let's be honest, it's hair and it grows back. But I wanted to write this review because I don't think you should be putting a picture of something you aren't capable of doing on your business card! Went here for years and was never disappointed with any of my three pups grooms (shih tzu, golden doodle and. Pomeranian- now deceased) but stopped going when I moved up to Celina because of the long drive with 2 kids. After 2 years of trying to find a new groomer in our area we decided to go back because we haven't found anyone that does as good of a job with our pups. Upon arriving my shih tzu (16 year old with Cancer) was at ease- like he was coming home and looks like a new dog when I came to pick him up and golden doodle looks equally as good! On January 14th, 2020 I took my two huskies to Classy Cuts for grooming services. They have been there in the past, with no problems. I dropped off my dogs off at 2:00pm. I indicated I wanted "a trim" to the receptionist at the time, as I've done in previous visits. At 5:00pm, my mother picked up my dogs. My two beautiful huskies had been shaved completely, except their heads and tails. My mother was appalled and flabbergasted. Once I saw my dogs, I was equally as dissapointed. Double coat dogs are not supposed to be shaven due to their increased vulnerability to temperature, sun and insects. On January 15th, I contacted Classy Cuts to voice my displeasure on the services received. I indicated wanting a full refund. After some waiting, I was informed by Cesar, a manager, that they would refund half of what I paid and provide a free appointment next time. I indicated I would like a full refund due to the ongoing negative byproducts of the dogs being shaven. The manager indicated that the receptionist reported she had informed me of the risks in shaving my dogs, completely dismissing my recolection of events. He went on to indicate that the receptionist also reported having explained everything to me and that I had asked her to have the dogs shaved. They provided no documentation of me asking my dogs to be shaved other than the narrative provided by the employee. On January 17th, after ongoing communications, my brother went to pick up a check for half of the amount paid on January 14th. When he arrived he was presented with two copies of a word document which stipulated that I would be reimbursed for half of the amount, that both my dogs would never receive any services, and that I would not speak about anything that happened. My brother felt extremely akward and nervous about signing since he was there for financial reimbursement purposes. He asked if he would be reimbursed if he did not sign. The manager indicated he would not receive reimbursement if he did not sign. My brother left without signing the document or receiving reimbursement. This whole ordeal has been very taxing. My dogs are shaved and have been negatively impacted by Classy Cuts' negligent behavior. It has been very dissapointing how the situation was handled by the merchant. My concerns were continously dismissed and negated. Instead of fostering understanding and cultivating their customer base, Classy Cuts chose to denigrate and dismiss my dogs and I, after their own negligence caused the issue. I would not recommend Classy Cuts going forward. Not because of their grooming services, although those have deeply hurt me and my doggy family. I choose not to recommend Classy Cuts because of their dismissive and negligent customer service. Which not only failed to acknowledge their mistake but successfully made me feel alienated, dismissed, and generally unsatisfied. They injured my puppy while grooming, and didn't even acknowledge it. They didn't do what I had asked them either. They charged me $60. I took my puppy to the vet to check out his rash, and the vet agreed it was caused because of the groomer. I showed the groomer this and they refuse to refund me saying they didn't do it. My labradoodle has been going to this particular groomers for a few years in Plano. When we picked him up today they said that his behavior was unruly and decided to charge more. This is not a policy that I have ever seen on the website nor on any written document or heard verbally. There was not a manager on site per the receptionist, I don't know who gave them the authority to up-charge. Please understand they have NEVER told us that his behavior was anything worth penalizing. The owner called me everyday for more than a month straight demanding me to delete my review, threatening me and screaming at me. Horrible horrible place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Run away as far as you can. We took our 8 year old golden retriever here 4 weeks ago to get a bath & hair cut. When we got there to pick him up, he was acting way different than when we dropped him off. He slowly came walking to us & laid on the floor. He was having a very difficult time breathing. We asked if they could bring us some water to give him & they didn't have anything at all for that. How can a place where they offer a DOG SERVICE, HAVE NOTHING TO GIVE THEM WATER WITH??. Well the owner says they don't have to provide them with water if the dog is there 2 hours or less. Our dog was there 3 hours. They asked if he was really old because he had been acting shaky & weird. Well if they saw he was acting weird & couldn't stand up on the grooming table they should of called us to let us know. He wasn't sick when we dropped him off. When we picked him up, We couldn't get up to get in the car so we had to carry him. We got him in the car & drove to the animal hospital. He passed away in the car on our way to the hospital...Not even 5 minutes had gone by. I'm pretty positive he would still be alive if they would had called us when he started not feeling well. We might of been able to get to the hospital sooner. Instead they waited until they finished & until we got there to pick him up. I do think they did something to cause his death in a way. I will never be 100% sure. I regret not testing him to find out why he exactly died. Maybe they gave him something to calm him down??. I don't know. two complains are that they didn't call us when our dog wasn't feeling well & they didn't had anything to give him water with. read more

I've had excellent service with this groomer since I moved to Plano in May. They are friendly and always have availability. I've never needed to wait more than a day from when I call to make the appointment - so nice and convenient! My 13lb cockapoo looks great after each visit. He seems well cared for during his grooming. Plus, these appointments are quick - he's always ready for pickup 2 hours after I drop him off. The groomers go out of their way to help me, too, as I waddle in pregnant with my toddler to drop off my dog. They open the door and take my dog to/from the car. They also play with my toddler and let him watch the other dogs get groomed so I can fill out paperwork and pay. Very friendly - HIGHLY recommend! read more

Been going here for 4 months, never with any problems until recently. I brought my dog here a couple of weeks ago and when I went to hand him to the staff he bear-hugged me and was holding on for dear life, which he had never done before when I dropped him off (I took him there probably about 7-10 times before this). I thought this was weird but it had never happened before and some dogs just don't like going to the groomers, right? I took him back yesterday and the same thing happened--again, thought maybe he just didn't like to be groomed--however I picked him up and ever since, for the past 24 hours, he has been hiding in dark, isolated spaces and just acting EXTREMELY weird and lethargic/withdrawn, which is very different from his normal hyper and playful puppy self. Naturally, I started to suspect something may have happened at the groomer's and just planned on finding a different groomer. Then my daughter took his bandana off and noticed circular sore about 1 inch in diameter to the front of his neck that had been (not coincidentally) hidden by the bandana. The hair over it was slicked down and was a dark yellow color as if something had been applied over it (like a topical ointment or something). It is very clearly clipper burn. To not only not disclose this to me when I picked him up but try to HIDE it is seriously concerning and, frankly, disgusting. Who knows what else happened that I don't know about? Also, to my shock and surprise, when I went to write this review I noticed another review describing the exact same thing happening to someone else's dog who was taken here. Beware of this place. Warning!! I took my cocker spaniel into the groomers, Classy Cuts, on Legacy and Independence. When I picked her up she was wearing a bandanna, not unusual. A few days later I removed the bandanna and found both sides of her neck severely injured along with one of her nipples. As you can see on these pictures someone had to really press hard to remove one of her nipples and make those marks on her neck. This company did not tell me they had injured my puppy, I noticed it after I removed the bandanna. I called and spoke to the manager and he said he will have a word with the groomer. When he called me back, and I quote, he said "don't worry it will heal". I want to be clear that I wasn't asking for compensation. My point was only that you need to tell the family if you injured their pup in any way so the family can begin treatment. This groomer showed no compassion and was totally negligent. I would not recommend these groomers. They shaved my bichon down to his skin when I had requested a trim and shaping ( reduce the thickness around the back of his neck). This happened 6 weeks ago and our dog still does not look like himself. There seemed to be a communication breakdown (language barrier). I was so upset that I refused to believe that the dog they had brought from the back was my adorable bichon. Ok, this is under new ownership since 3 months ago. It used to be Classy K9 Cuts, but they had to change the name to Classy Doggie Cuts (and they still have people come in to try to get their hair cut). Hector was so nice greeting us on the phone and in person. They actually love animals. (so many places act like they are put out to deal with dogs). He got every request down on the computer...no perfume...boot cut the legs...puppy cut the faces... Eva K is right, Victor is great with the dogs. They are eager to please and even asked if the cuts were how we wanted them to be. The boots were a little wide on the bottom, so Victor trimmed them on the spot. It wasn't his fault, he did exactly what we had asked him to do, we just wanted them a little shorter so the leaves don't get stuck in her paws. We are glad to finally find a place that wants business, is grateful for you to come and treats the animals with love. I have had some horror stories in the past with groomers. I did my homework and research on various groomers locally and found this groomer. I saw what great reviews that had received and deceided to take a chance. I couldn't be happier to have selected this groomer for my maltipoo. Although the owners changed in the last couple years, I am still very happy with the staff and their talent. They are great at what they do in the time they do it in. I take my Dobe Lex as often as I can to Classy Doggy Cuts, The best dog groomer in DFW! Everytime I arrive the staff is prompt and very courteous. Its so hard to trim Lex's nails but they do it with ease. If you need a cut, bath, or nail clipping look no futher this is the place. read more

I work for a small dog rescue group and often have a foster with "issues" being groomed. The staff here is very willing to work with the dogs, often giving them a break to reduce stress and they have never disappointed. They are very accommodating and extremely personable and friendly. I've taken my two cocker spaniels to this grooming facility for years (when it was under the previous ownership.) These five-stars, however, are for the current owners, and more specifically, for Victor, who groomed my dog the other day. Thank you, Victor, for staying at Classy Doggie Cuts; you are an amazing stylist! So here's what's great... 1) The place has gotten a complete face-lift; it looks and smells fresh and clean. 2) The customer service experience has greatly improved; calls for an appointment are welcomed and friendly, drop off and pick up are not rushed. Time is taken to ensure grooming instructions are received and later, that they were followed. 3) Service is FAST (although, this was always the case); my dogs are typically done (full cut and groom) in about 2 hours. I love that they're not stuck in a cage for an entire day listening to the horrible sounds of other dogs barking and dryers blowing. Keep up the good work Classy Doggie Cuts! read more

BEWARE!!!! They gave my full blood, AKC registered Maltese to someone else, we had to wait for them to bring him back. And STILL charged my husband!!! I did not receive a refund until I called and asked to speak to the owner. The did not do a very good job either,, the cut my poor dogs inner leg and ball sack... I would highly recommend these groomers and have --- to a close friend of mine. We have been to Classy Doggie Cuts twice now and could not be happier with the quality of grooming, customer service and the treatment of our schnauzers. Schnauzers can be a difficult cut and they have always come out exactly as we have asked. The employees are very friendly and the grooming is done in an open area where you can see them while they are doing their work. One of our pups is a very active puppy and their patience with him was incredible. Our pet (Evi) been here twice, the first time they did an ok job. My husband and daughter went inside to pick her up and while my husband was paying my daughter brought her out and I noticed her eye was BLOOD SHOT RED. So my husband took her back in and he was told that she might have got stressed out cause she was in the back whining and crying. Immediately I took her to the vet and they informed me that it was caused by a Blunt Force Trauma (also confirmed from a different doctor on separate visit). Normally my dog runs and jumps at people legs but that day her behavior was off (scared of people). That same day we took her back to the groomers (Classy Cuts) and told the lady at the front counter in which she replied "are you sure that you didn't drop her on your way to the car" (Blank Stare). We did get a refund plus med bills after talking to the manager. We also requested to see video surveillance (we never did see). read more
