I really love this place and have been coming here for years. Susan did my toes for the first time and I loved them. She was a little gentle when I like it hard, but overall not bad. Nyee is always good with her designs, she knows what I like.

Came here to get some nail art done for the first time, pretty straightforward (I've attached the pics). First off, nail shape: was supposed to be oval/round, they turned out square and irregular. No consistency. Color range and choice itself, the blue wasn't as cobalt as I expected and made it look really cheap. Even after 2 coats, you can see underlying color or nail bed and looks super uneven. The circular art was chipped from the get go and messy. Honestly looks like I did it myself with a shaky hand. After leaving, color nails have already chipped. So she charges $30 for gel and then $10 on top of that for a total of $40 for the terrible outcome. Will not be returning!!!

I have been going to this nail salon for a while and they've no doubt always done the best out of all the other nail salons I've been to. But they hired a new man named Thai about a month ago and he did an AMAZING job!! He was very patient, nice to talk to, and did my nails as if they were his own. This was the BEST GEL MANICURE I've ever had! In the past, I have had only acrylics and recently decided to remove them. Holy shit, I didn't realize how fragile, weak, and dry they make your nails! After a week since removing my old acrylics, three finger nails broke off in the middle of my nail - it was so bad! I wished I took before photos. I made a request to glue back on another nail about to fall off, regardless of it still being attached by like a millimeter (it was the middle finger in this photo). He followed my request to still attach it back and now it looks like brand new! You would've never guessed my nails were damaged! Will definitely come back for Thai!

I went to get a set removed and they don't do the soak n remove, she forcefully stuck another acrylic under my set and caused lots of nail damage, then put antiseptic on the nails that hurt or were bleeding without giving me a warning. After that I was still charged $18 for a removal (that the owner said was $10) terrible customer service, never going there again. The first pic is from the day of, after asking for a bandaid five times for my bleeding finger I got one. I know this may be dramatic to some but it was really painful, if you want your set removed from here, don't go, you're better off doing it yourself.

Don't Waste Your $. My first and last time here. I came in on a Sunday for a gel mani & pedi. Everyone seemed really friendly and it was great until the nail tech working on my hands got a phone call and then disappeared for about 15-20 mins. I thought it was unprofessional but let it go. The real disappointment was that I paid $57 for the service and 7 days later the gel polish on my hands started to lift and peel. I called the salon a week after I had gotten them done to ask if I could get it redone free of charge and they offered to take a look at them and let me know. When I called the following day to confirm that I could go in I had to argue with 3 diff people over the phone to explain that I've never had a gel manicure that didn't last me AT LEAST 2 weeks. They kept telling me I should've called within 2-3 days and that I must've been doing something to mess them up. They kept asking me who did my nails as if I'm supposed to know everyone or ask the name of my nail tech when it's my first time here?! Sooo unprofessional and the product and application is poor. I ended up hanging up because they simply did not want to help me and kept talking over me.

Very nice ladies. Good customer service. Good prices. Clean. Got a "Milk" pedicure for $30. But you can get a basic cucumber pedicure for $15. They were very upfront with their pricing and handed me a menu. I felt like they really wanted to please and not pushy like other places. Loved my pedicure. They gave good suggestions based on my outfit for the wedding. And I did a really pretty design on my toes. Will go back next time I am in town! read more

Cheap polishes. Very little name brand that I could recognize & small polish selection Also, it's dirty tabletop; Other people's nails where my hand were. Dirty reused towel. But...I took time to find a good, newer polish & the tech painted them well. 3 hr update!!!....polish has dings & scratches because it was so old that it DIDN'T DRY!!!!! read more

Nothing bad to say about this nail shop. I was recommended by a friend and I haven't gone anywhere else since. I love the coffin shape and they get it right every time. The owner is great and welcoming. I'm sure people have had bad experiences (like any other place, there are some workers that aren't providing the service or warmth expected) but if you talk to the owner, I don't doubt she will make it right. read more

I'm always pleased with my service and the nails here. I had my mani pedi done here before my maternity photos and they definitely were the perfect finishing touch in the pictures. After a few attempts of trying to make an appointment with my regular nail tech...I needed to find somewhere I could walk into and get a pedi. I yelped local places near home and Classy Nails was high recommended. I am very picky about where I go, and don't mind splurging on a good pedicure. Being that I am in the beauty industry (hair stylist) and on my feet for hours on end, I need some TLC on feet! I walked in this past Tuesday around 230pm and was seated right away. I splurged on the hot stone pedi for 33 bucks, and worth every penny. Tina was really nice and did such a great job. I will definitely be back. Thanks YELP!! read more

Update: I have bee coming here for several years now, and have noticed a decline in service. What used to be a place that was above quality of service, is not so much anymore. Some of the work is sloppy, the message is only a minute or two, with not much effort, and the ladies talk the entire time the service is being performed. I go there to relax, and hearing ongoing chatter is annoying and distracting. So disappointed. read more

I went a week ago. I was disappointed. I got a mani pedi. I went during the middle of the day. They were not even busy but they still rushed through it. I was telling the lady doing my toes that I had and ingrown nail, she didn't seem to understand so the lady working on my hands told her in their language. The lady had a look on her face as if saying I'm not doing it. Sure enough she didn't do it. I left a 5 dollar tip and the lady didn't seem happy about it. Once I had paid they were not as friendly as before. I felt as though they were expecting a bigger tip. I left feeling unhappy with the service and quality of work. I will not be coming back to this place. It's pricey and not worth it. read more

Ever since I moved to Monclair in 2011, I have been coming here for my pedi & madis. The price is reasonable & the job is nicely done. I always have Ni do both pedi&madi. I had gotten a Gift Certificate from my best friend and I went to go get a pedicure. I had a $30 gift certificate, the nail lady said it's normally $21 for a pedicure and they would do a manicure for $8 but I really wanted acrylic nails which would of been $22 (but I never showed exactly what I wanted and I'm sure my type of design would of been pretty pricey) so I just went with the pedicure and asked if I can get a design- the nail tech said no that if I did it would have to be a small design because I don't have a big enough toe that I have "a small toe". I just requested a regular flower design. Well I got there around 6:40pm and they close at 7pm. They did a really good job I was very pleased. They do give u disposable flip flops for free. And they were cleaning the salon while they were closing up so this salon is very clean. I think over all it's a nice place, just the nail tech could learn to be more people friendly- she insisted on me telling her who gave me the gift certificate and the whole I couldn't get a big design on my toe because my toe was too small was pretty rude. Anyways I paid with the certificate and I was suppose to get $9 back but instead they gave me the certificate back and subtracted the amount I used and circled that there was $9 left ‍ read more

I've been to so many different nail salons in different cities, and this place is hands down (no pun intended) my favorite. Everyone there is super friendly and works very hard to ensure that you are happy and get exactly what you want. They don't go fast just to get the job done; they're very attentive and if they see something wrong with the nail, they won't wait for you to say something - they'll go ahead and fix it themselves. The salon itself is clean and well-maintained. I took my mom and grandma there for pedicures and at first they were doubtful but we came out all smiles and my grandma couldn't stop looking at her toes! I've had Jodie and Cindy (the owner) both do my nails (acrylics and gels on separate occasions) and couldn't have asked for anyone better. Overall, very happy with the quality, value, and excellent customer service! read more

Wow!! This place was great. I got a paraffin pedicure with callous remover, a fill and my eyebrows done for 52 bucks!!!! And my nails toes and brows looked awesome! It's not a huge salon but it's very nice inside. Kathy did my nails and eyebrows and she was so nice. I didn't catch the girls name who did my pedicure but she was great as well. I'll be back in two weeks! read more

Since, I frequent this hidden gem nail shop I think I'm due for a review. The prices here are great and the customer service is even better. All the nail polish quality is good since my pedicures always last a good 3 weeks! All the nail technicians are all very good so as long as you come you will be satisfied. Lots of colors the ladies take the time to make the designs beautiful. If you're in the area you should stop by! read more

Ni has my nails looking good all the time, she takes her time when it's time to change my set since I have thin nails and my anxiety worsens up because I have had bad experiences in other locations. I would not recommend this place. I got a basic manicure and my cuticles were hurting for 2 days. They are way too rough and rush through it. I came here during lunch since it was nearby my work. I needed to get my acrylic nails removed and get a manicure. I had the worst experience ever!!! The lady taking off my nails had no experience or really didn't care if she hurt the customer. She was using the cuticle remover to take off my acrylic nails and on my ring finger nail she pulled my nail along with the acrylic and I had to stop her before she pulled off my whole nail. Of course my nail started bleeding and now part of my nail was lifting. She wanted to keep removing my nail but I didn't let her since it was painful. I paid for my not to good services and took pictures just in case I need them if my finger worsens or get infected. I don't recommended this place at all. read more

My favorite place to take a break from my hectic life! Cindy, the owner, is the friendliest person you will ever meet. Though all of the girls are sweet and professional. The services are reasonably priced, and they do great quality work. I highly recommend lavendar pedi. The drawbacks: They are busy, so be prepared to wait. Or call ahead and make an appointment. And some of the girls may ask you to add-on services like a callus remover, or add flowers.art to your nails, etc (some people think its pushy). So have the will to say NO to whatever you dont want. I recommend Classy Nails to everyone I know :) read more

I made an appointment for 1pm. I got there early and they had no problem helping me right then. I asked for a medium length full set with gel nail polish and a gel pedi. The owner saw my nails and said they were very long and she charged me extra. I have seen people with longer nails that have paid less. I guess my idea of long is different from hers. The only discount I got was the gel Mani being on sale for $5 instead of $8. My total was $53. Only going there out of convenience since its by cal poly. Only going there for basic nail polish in the future and even those visits would be rare. read more

I will never go here again. I went in for a pedicure with my boyfriend and the location is far from clean. Their tubs for your feet aren't covered with plastic wrap like others are to make sure that it is clean. Someone had just gotten up from my chair and they used some sort of soap and just rinsed it really quickly, not a thorough wash. After washing in there was a white reissue in the tub before they refilled it with water. They didn't even do a good pedicure or offer any extras like callous remover, which was the main reason my boyfriend went as he is a runner. Even when asked we were dismissed about it. The color selection is minimal and the polishes look poorly taken care of. I should have followed my first instinct and walked out the door right when I walked in. read more

Well my daughter and I went on a Tuesday, no one there which was great. However, with them not being busy and our being the literal only customers there, I still managed to receive the worst manicure I have ever received. She spent a total of 15 minutes to complete my service. My daughter only had a nail polish service and they still got that all over her cuticles (without correcting) and charged $10 for her. A little over $30 later, I'll never go back. Expensive lesson to learn. read more

I went to her the first time for electrolysis on my chin I thought everything was going well, she advised my to start shaving my chin and I was skeptical about this advice but I went ahead and did what she said. After 1 month I noticed my chin was actually worse. The hairs were coarser and there was more of them! I brought this to Brenda's attention and she said well my classes say that there is nothing wrong with shaving but my school text books only teach on how to work on Caucasian skin. I then began asking her about her experience with working with other ethnicities and she assured me that almost half of her clientele there is African American (which I do not believe because I never saw any Blacks when I was there). Brenda than told me to stop shaving if I think its getting worse, but never took any accountability for the fact that my chin started getting worse. Told add insult to injury, she even talked bad about me to another one of her clients and told her to stop shaving as well. It seems like Brenda dosent know what she's talking about, and when someone brings an issue to her, she is unprofessional and tells your business to other customers. That is just unexceptable. Lastly brenda took over an hour and didnt even clear one side of my chin, she kept telling me that my hairs are very strong. Then told the other client who told me that my hairs are curly which they are not. Now that im going to someone who is confident in what they do she clears my entire chin in less than 20 minuets even after the damage of shaving. My current lady also said I will be clear in 3 months where Brenda said I will take around 1 year. I do not recommend Brenda. Because she teaches she acts like she knows everything but once I went to another person I realized she was doing everything wrong including the method. Brenda used blended method on me and my new electrolysist said that method is not as effective and takes very long. I wish that I didnt waste any money working with Brenda because these treatments are expensive. Now I am finally seeing the results that I wanted too. Dont waste your time here, her work takes way too long, she does not know how to work on ethnic skin.

She was nice initially till she realized I had a Groupon. Her whole demeanor changed. When I was paying for the treatment, the secretary asked if she should schedule a follow up, and the injector said no need she has a Groupon. For background, I have used botox before and received it in Korea at a skincare clinic. I loved the results then and thought it would be similar to that treatment. In Korea, they cleanse and numb your face prior to treatment. They also show you the bottle before they draw it into the needle. At skin perfect brothers, she turned her back to me and didn't show me that it really was botox. It could have been dysport for all I know. She rubbed a Vaseline type cream on my forehead without wiping it clean and just started injecting (after marking my muscle movement). Its only been 5 days, and we'll see in 2 weeks at its full development. I wanted an annual visit there, but after that treatment... I'm good. They did text me to see if I was happy with it. I'll find out in 2 weeks and let them know.

My wife has been coming here for years, and she just told me that this establishment imposes a DEBIT CARD surcharge fee, in an attempt to offset their credit card costs, which is shameful during this inflationary times in consumers. This is actually not true because debit cards with the visa or master card logo DO NOT impose usage fees on the business proprietor. Stop playing innocent as proprietors in this country and charge us hardworking consumers these illegal fees, then lie to and say that the "bank charges us these fees." The banks DO NOT charge fees for debit card usage (even with cash back), and even if they did, you as a business owner elected to use these services in your establishment, and you can't just pass these fees onto consumers. This is illegal in the state of California, and subject to hefty fines. I will be filing a report with Visa and Mastercard immediately. Note to Readers: You can report excessive payment card surcharges by filling out a Merchant Violation form on the Visa website or Mastercard website. They will act promptly and will potentially fine heavily the business establishment. Pursuant to a settlement of the U.S. merchant class litigation, Mastercard modified certain rules and business practices to permit U.S. merchants to apply an extra checkout fee, also known as a surcharge, to customers who pay with Mastercard-branded credit cards. The rule change permitting such surcharging went into effect on January 27, 2013. These fees are not allowed on Debit Mastercard or Mastercard prepaid cards. NOTE: As of Oct 13, 2024, the owner has not responded to my attempt to get an answer about their illegal surcharging for debit cards. You've left me with no choice but to file a complaint officially with my bank. read more

I've been a customer of the owner for several years now. When she deicided to open her own shop, I naturally followed. Her goal was to make sure that all the customers in her shop received the best possible care and treatment in the area. The salon is very clean, all new interior, and provides all the salon care anyone could possibly need. Her employees are great, courteous, caring, and all know their job well. You are always greeted by name when you walk in the door and if you're new, they make you feel welcomed. Somehow the owner always remembers a customers name even if they've only been there once before! From the waxing table to the comfy massage spa chairs, it's always a pleasant experience. The reviews that gave one star couldn't possibly be talking about the same place. It's just the opposite. I say this not because I've been a long-time customer, but because it's true. I've been coming to this salon since it opened. The owner has been doing my nails for several years since she worked at another salon. She decided to open her own so she could make sure all the customers received excellent service. She is caring as are her employees and all know what they are doing no matter what you need. From waxing to the wonderful massage pedicure chairs, it's always a relaxing experience I look forward to. I recommend it highly and would NEVER go anywhere else. The salon is super clean and you can tell from the moment you walk in they care not only about service but cleanliness also. How they remember everyone's name I don't know, but they do! I do not agree with the other reviews below me that are saying things that are degrading this salon, this salon is honestly clean and nice, they do not have dirty tubs, they sanitize it every single time a new customer uses it. They are very sincere and honestly want to get to know you and treat you well. They break the stereo type of vietnamese nail salons because they truly care about their customers. I've been to many salons that the staff talk in vietnamese to each other and it makes me feel awkward, it is not a problem here. Overall i am extremely happy with my manicure and pedicure and i would definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more
