Grabbed a 9:45 AM patio reservation for breakfast on a Saturday and was glad I did because a line built up quickly. I had an iced coffee and plain french toast with berries. The French toast was awesome, and the cinnamon butter was so good - it tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch!! Also had a bite of the two egg breakfast which was also great.

My apologies for not updating my review when we stopped by this last January! So here it is: A bit of an upscale casual place very near the beach for breakfast today. Oscar Crab Bennie, a Meat Lovers Omletet and some Bengeits yo share...all were very good and service was great as well. Nice place to start your day! The last time we were here was 2017 and this visit was much better!

First time at Clear Sky Cafe. We ate outside while a guy was playing his guitar and playing some really good songs. I had chicken yakitori. I had rice, avocado, cucumbers, and pickled onions. Delicious! My husband had the pan seared grouper with a beet salad. Everything was delicious! Thank goodness we came on a Monday night and it wasn't that crowded. Definitely recommend!

Our first food stop while in Clearwater for 5 days. The host sat us right away. Not too busy on a Friday at 3:30pm. Luckily they have happy hour everyday from 2-6pm and their wine and cocktails are all 1/2 off! Ordered a skinny marg and Hugo spritz. My margarita had a TON of salt on the rim and some fell into the glass so it changed the taste a lot.

Went here on day 1 of our vacation in Clearwater on a Wednesday afternoon. Was recommended by a staff member of the resort we stayed at. Ambience was like your regular breakfast place or diner, but definitely family friendly. We were there with our 8 month old baby boy and felt comfortable. Food tasted pretty okay, we ordered coconut shrimp, fish n chips and chicken tacos for brunch! The fish was a little undercooked and the batter was still a bit wet inside. Other items were not bad. For drinks, I ordered their popular pomegranate mimosa which came really flat (no bubblies) and in a wine glass! I sent it back and got a mojito instead - which tasted a lot better! Additionally, we were not aware the breakfast menu closes at 12 pm and we were already seated, so kind of felt obligated to order from the lunch menu at around 12.05 pm! It was too early for a sea food lunch for us! We saw the table next to us had ordered breakfast just a few minutes before us but we were denied because it was already past noon. Overall a pretty average experience. I was expecting a little more authentic experience but turned out to be just like your local diner.

This is a very nice restaurant, with good food and service. If you have hearing issues (my husband), be forewarned that the patio and inside restaurant are incredibly loud. Our waiter, David, was delightful and very knowledgeable about the GF items, and was helpful in accommodating me. We started with by sharing the grilled octopus, which was arguably the best I've ever had -- it was very tender, and not a bit chewy. We also had mussels, which were garlicky and delicious, but I was so into the octopus and chimichurri, I only had two mussels! One diner had the blackened mixed grill, which was highly recommended by David, and it was exceptional, with deep flavor profiles, but not overwhelming blackening. Two diners had the grouper sandwich -- my husband said it was the best grouper sandwich he's had (which he confirmed the next day, after having one at Frenchy's). My dinner was the pan seared grouper, which was absolutely excellent -- the butter lemon sauce was rich and almost tasted like hollandaise. David insisted my husband try the key lime pie, which he did, and it was creamy, custardy and very good. Make a reservation and visit Clear Sky!

We had the steak and eggs and the cinnamon French toast with pecans it was so delicious. Everything was cooked well. The service was great she was really nice and informative. The ambiance is very relaxed. We liked the outdoor dining. The only con was the orange creamsicle drink it was ok.

We joined the walk up list for clear sky via their website around 11am on a Saturday, and our table was ready within 10 minutes. We were seated as soon as we arrived, and throughout our visit the service was really good. My friend and I were having a very hard time deciding, and when we asked the server, she flat out told us that the two things we were torn between were awesome and we should order both and split them. We got the shrimp and grits and the lobster Benedict. On their own, the grits weren't anything special, although they were texturally great. Now when you add the shrimp and gravy . . . This dish is a whole other deal. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the gravy was super well balances. It had the perfect level of spice. The lobster Benedict had a perfectly poached egg, and it worked so well. The mornay sauce was a lovely touch. I'd definitely order it again, but I would also definitely order the shrimp again. Long story short, our server was right, they were both amazing. I also got a standard Bloody Mary, which was solid. I would definitely go back to this place. It's got an upbeat, family friendly atmosphere, and I think it's a great spot for locals and out of towners alike. It's also well priced. I'd also love to try their beignets or French toast next time. They've also got a huge lunch/dinner menu that I'd definitely want to try if I were in town for longer.

Everything was amazing! Mussel sauce was to die for...barramundi was great. Grouper dinner was so good. We tried a lot ant it was all good including the key lime pie. Service was awesome, and love the ambiance. Good change for a beach bar!

The live music is really professional and good. I was really surprised at how much talent the guitarist had. The food was also really delicious compared to some other places we went to. Seems like a lot of restaurants have the exact same thing, but this place also has an Asian flare. I got the dumplings and they tasted homemade, the miso sauce was really delicious. My husband got the dynamite shrimp which is good if you need some food for drinking, it has a large portion, more than just for two. I got the wagyu sliders and the lobster Mac and the sliders don't look like much but they are super delicious! Definitely recommend them. Overall I was super stuffed beyond capacity with them and the lobster Mac. My husband got the steak frites, which in all honesty I would not recommend. The steak was so incredibly chewy and overall not fun to eat. The sauce was good but not enough to compensate for the meat. The waitress was really nice and overall we're had a fantastic time. It's also walking distance from our hotel so it's just really convenient to get good food close by.

Great service. The food was a mixed bag. We loved our appetizer (not pictured)- the dynamite shrimp. The mains were all very flavorful. They were very attentive to an allergy at the table that we appreciated. Nice family friendly restaurant, casual but could be more dressy too.

We visited on Monday, MLK Day, around 1 PM and were still hoping to catch the brunch menu. Our server, Nico, was fantastic and brought out a special menu with reduced breakfast/brunch options--which turned out to be perfect and satisfied our brunch cravings. We ordered the kitchen sink skillet, the corned beef hash, and the sweet buttermilk pancakes. Everything arrived hot and fresh and was absolutely delicious. We also loved that there's a full bar--I tried the Clear Sky spiked latte, and it was the perfect drink. Definitely a great place to visit while spending time at Clearwater Beach. It is small and there is outdoor seating but it was too cold and windy for that. Would be nice on warmer day.

This is my favorite restaurant of all time! We come to clearwater every year for vacation in August and stay at the Sandpearl which is right next door to clear sky. We come for breakfast lunch and dinner and it is all amazing! They have both indoor and outdoor seating but we always sit outside. It is not right on the water but close. They often have someone outside singing and playing the guitar (not sure the schedule but they have been at both breakfast and dinner). Everything I have ate there has been fabulous! read more

The first time I dined here was the day after my husband and I got married on Clearwater Beach. We had a lovely dinner with our family. The service and food was wonderful! When we returned this year for brunch, the food was again above and beyond. I love the many options they provide and it was delicious! I had the Java French Toast and my husband had the Chicken Friend Steak. I also had a yummy Blueberry Mimosa! We did have a small problem with service this time. We received a text to be seated before our table was clean, so the hostess told us to wait a moment. About 10 minutes of them seating other guests went by and I decided to speak to the host again. She forgot about us and looked at me as if I was crazy. The table they cleaned for us had been empty for about 7 minutes. I understand it was very busy, but we should have been a first priority since we received a text that our table was ready. Despite the small service issue we will definitely be back. Kudos to the chef and the owners! read more

If you eat anywhere in Clearwater Beach, eat here. We ate at 13 restaurants in Clearwater Beach over a week and this is the only place we came to twice. Our expectations were exceeded during both of our visits and the food is just so so good. Wait staff is incredible. Prices are fair. Menu is perfect. Great vibe. Go. read more

Stopped in for breakfast and drinks...sat at the bar with Carmella. Let me start with how friendly and warmly we were greeted, service far exceeded my expectations. The place was packed and we had drinks and food immediately...how she managed to juggle everything still amazes me. Now the food. Holy smokes...I had to admit it was the best breakfast I've ever had! Ordered the square meal, highlights were the pecan French toast and Gouda grits. Highly recommend both. Do yourself a favor and start our day off right with a Bloody Mary or mimosa. We had both and enjoyed them...twice. Whatever you have, you won't be disappointed!!! read more

Didn't rate 5 only because we had to wait for at least 20 minutes for someone to come ask us for drink order. I had blackened mixed grill(seafood) and it was awesome, my wife had lobster mac&cheese and it was good with great chucks of lobster but lacked flavor. My daughter got pasta with tomato sauce and she really liked it. Our waitress was really great and prompt after she was assigned to our table. I would definitely come back! read more

Went almost everyday while visiting Clearwater! Breakfast twice and lunch once. All of our food was great! Lobster and Brie Bennie was fresh and delicious. I was skeptical of ordering seafood for breakfast but our waitress Tee (fabulous) told me it would be amazing and it was! The homemade corned beef hash was so fresh! Corned beef over roasted potatoes eggs on top! Met all expectations and then some! The bartender Carmela was also super nice, helpful and makes a great mimosa! Great location and beautiful menu! We saw the comments are great so we decided to try this cafe while we were there. Absolutely fantastic! The oysters were sooooo creamy and the sauce and mustard were greeeaaat! I want some now. The fish burger came with fries and the fries were delicious, the fresh lemon mayo was perfect with the fries and burger. Service was awesome, the lady was so nice! Dude! Bomb breakfast! My son got the French toast which could of fed me. Big portions. Which you can walk off right after you eat since it's right next to the beach! The parking is ok. It's nice to know they have security patrolling the lot. The wait is long so come prepared if you have a big party like we did. But it's so worth it. I was on vacation and was really wanting a good meal while I was in Florida and this place hit the spot. Everything on the menu is delicious! read more

Not gonna lie, not impressed at all. Especially after reading previous reviews, super disappointed. Food: meh. Actually kinda gross. Had the lobster Benedict. Lobster was good but rest was bland and dry, specially the English muffin underneath it all- ugh. I actually cleaned the lobster and eggs off and ate them alone. The Gouda cheese grits tasted like water.... DISGUSTING. Sent those bad boys back. Service: amazing. Anna was great, the best part of checking out this place. Overall: save yourself your money and belly room, other places on the strip that are WAY better. read more

The service here was abysmal. Our drinks took 30 minutes to come out even though no one was there. After that our food preceded to take over a hour to come out, two of the entrees never arriving. The shrimp and scampi came out with only a few pieces for $40. Don't go here. read more

We decided to check out Clear sky cafe for Mother's day since one of my friends have raved about their Bloody Marys and I love Bloody Marys. Of course we had Bloody Marys while we waited which were delicious and you got to pick what type of various garnishes you wanted in your drink. Delicious but very filling so I moved on to mimosa with pear, yum who knew it would be so tasty. Once we were seated we were promptly met by our server who was very personable and did a great job taking care of us. She gave suggestions, make sure we had drinks and our water was full and checked on us periodically. Now on to the important stuff, the food... everything was fresh, hot and flavorful. We had the corn beef hash, crab benedict and chicken sausage benedict with chilies and avocado. All the meals were served with potatoes, I thought there could be a few more potatoes but other than that everything else was great. Defiantly a place I will come back to. read more

Staying at the Sandpearl and found this little gem next door our resort. MEGAN was our waitress and knew the menu well and had great suggestions. Being from Texas she found me a veggie burrito and I had unlimited hot sauce to soak it :) Megan asked if we were searching for other places to dine while we were here and gave us great recommendations for dining. She was very attentive and prompt. This little spot is cozy and the folks are friendly. I actually just put my phone down while writing this review for the last 20 mins to talk to the table next to us. Didn't try the Bloody Mary recommendation by lots of Yelpers but enjoyed my burrito. They have Java French toast too!!! Ask to sit outside of you want to people watch and enjoy the fresh air. You can see down to the beach. read more

What a happy accident! We actually came here unexpectedly because the kitchen in the wine bistro across the street had already closed. After discovering that we didn't know where we would go, but I heard music calling us like the Pied Piper which let us to Clear Sky Cafe. Even arriving late, the place was packed, but we had no problem getting seated on their patio. The waitress asked if we wanted drinks and then gave us an iPad with the drink menu. So fun and especially handy at night-time! For a quick starter we had the Black and Bleu chips. Delicious and so crispy. All grouper-ed out, I decided to go for the Monster Lobster Mac and Cheese because calories don't count on vacation, right? Sooooo good! I am sorry I don't have any pictures to post because I was too busy devouring their yummy food and listening to the amazing entertainer. It was a guitar player who was exceptionally talented. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and did not rush us. With an appetizer, entrees, several drinks and a generous tip the bill was under $125 for two people. Well worth every penny and actually quite a steal considering the fabulous entertainment. All in all it was a perfect evening and I could still hear the guitar music in my head as we walked back to the hotel. Next time we are in town we will try their breakfast! read more

I have gone to the clear sky in Dunedin and went to the Clearwater location today. It was absolutely fantastic! Juan provided excellent service and had the best personality. They have about 15 mimosa flavors to choose from which is amazing. Would deff go back! read more

Wow this place is so phenomenal and really lives up to its reviews! I ate brunch here on a Sunday and the service was really great. They have a HUGE menu!!!! Everyone can find something they like. I'd love to come back for breakfast because it looks phenomenal. I got the sushi for lunch. I was a little hesitant because this is not a sushi place. Clear Sky Restaurant in Clearwater Beach is a very good place with a great atmosphere, great staff, and most importantly, great food. I visited on a Saturday for brunch and although there was a line out the door, we only waited about 20 minutes which was totally worth it. Our server Danielle was amazing and very attentive. She made the experience even better by providing impeccable service. The menu options at Clear Sky Restaurant are endless, and we tried several items. The mimosas were great and a perfect way to start our meal. In addition, we also had fresh squeezed orange juice which was very good. The heart attack biscuit, which is three eggs your way, fried chicken, gravy, and cheese served on a buttermilk biscuit, was nothing short of amazing. The biscuit was perfectly crispy and the combination of flavors was just perfect. We also tried the Mexican Skillet which is a skillet with Chorizo sausage, guacamole, sour cream, pepper jack cheese, and a side of ranchero sauce. This dish was bursting with flavor and definitely one of our favorites. The chicken burrito was equally impressive with grilled chicken, two scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, cheddar-jack cheese, topped with guacamole, sour cream, and ranchero sauce, served with homestyle potatoes. The dish was filling and delicious, with each ingredient complementing the other perfectly. The Beignets & Berries was a delightful and light dessert that I highly recommend ordering for the table during brunch. This deep-fried French pastry with fresh berries and caramel, topped with powdered sugar, was a perfect end to our meal. We had such a wonderful dinner experience at Clear Sky Cafe! Kristina and Rashid were amazing and provided excellent service from start to finish. When we first arrived, we chose to sit outside but changed our minds due to noise. The vibe outside was very different than inside, just a more lively and inside was a little quieter and calmer. Take your pick!!! They moved us inside without any hesitation and were so kind and accommodating about it. I am currently following a strict low-FODMAP elimination diet, which can make eating out extremely stressful. Kristina was incredibly helpful and patient with all of my questions and concerns, especially regarding gluten, dairy, garlic, and onion. She went back to the kitchen multiple times to check ingredients and even helped brainstorm possible substitutions so I could still enjoy my meal safely. I ended up ordering a margarita-style pizza with olive oil, mozzarella, basil, and bacon, and it was great! Every time Kristina came to the table, she asked whether I had any additional questions and made sure I felt comfortable with everything I was eating. She was also funny, friendly, and genuinely made the entire experience much less stressful. My family was still able to enjoy meals that looked amazing, while I felt completely taken care of. It can be very difficult to eat out with strict dietary concerns, but Kristina and Rashid made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable. I truly could not have asked for a better experience. Beware of this location! The Dunedin location does a much better job with the food. Different menu, much better selections. Over priced for drinks, same as the draught haus but it makes it ok if I'm getting good food. Balsamic glaze blue cheese kettle chips were more of a bowl of balsamic soup with a blue cheese n chip garnish. Ordered the booze burger and was served with a thai satay sauce. Sent the burger back, only to have the server tell me that the kitchen wants to know if they can use the same patty and just scrape off the sauce and toppings. As I thought to myself, why do I want someone handling a patty that I already took a bite out of, I should have said yes because my second "rare" burger came out well done. Bloody Mary bar has great selections, however, the bartender was very slow and by the time I got mine dressed and ready to consume, half the ice was melted. Tip: don't do a Bloody Mary bar out in the sun! Luke warm toppings and mixers is not very appetizing! Overall grade, D-. I've heard and read so many great things about this place. 800 sq ft of sitting on top of each other is not a good time for me. Not to mention the tourist next to me feeding the seagulls. One more tip, I don't have respect for mangers that sit outside and smoke when your on a wait. Good luck at your next job! read more

Ate there 4 days in a row just this week with the family, and all 4 times were really, really good. Staff was very attentive and friendly (thanks to Spenser, Joel, Luigi and our first waitress whom I forgot the name, sorry dear), and food was top notch. At first glance Clear Sky seems more like a regular beach joint, one you find at any beach area with live music, but no, they are absolutely a few steps above that (not that there is anything wrong with it). I mean, I had their pork chop and it was perfectly cooked and with a mustard sauce out of this world (+fingerling potatoes and a oven baked tomato - yummmm). The mussels we had the last day (white wine/garlic) were also fantastic, worthy of a Michelin star (no kidding) - and they brought us fresh extra garlic toasts to finish up the abundant broth. Live music outside was fine, but a bit loud (our choice though as there was plenty seats available inside. Only thing I could say is a negative (and the reason we did not seat inside), is the outdated décor, but wouldn't take a star out because of it. Anyway, congrats to the chef and all staff. BTW, thanks for the free lava cake you gave us for my daughters birthday, it was very much appreciated. Will be back soon as we travel to Clearwater often and stay right across the street. read more

My server, NICOLE was condescending, completely inattentive and overly RUDE! Any time we asked a question regarding the menu, her response was, "Read the description". I had already read the description and wanted a little clarification, which she was unwilling to provide. She then forgot to put in my husbands' order and when we pointed this out, she stormed away and returned to tell us that we never ordered it!!!! She never once apologized or tried to make our dining experience pleasant in any way!! I can not even fathom how she gained employment here or made it through training. She then took it upon herself to add gratuity to our bill, when we were only 4 people! I didn't notice at the restaurant and tipped her on top of that, and she never bothered to point out that we DOUBLE TIPPED her ACCIDENTALLY. I am guessing she does this often. The whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will be taking my company to Caretta on the Gulf, where the customer is ALWAYS right and treated with respect. read more

One of our favorites in Clearwater. The menu is extensive, so good for families with "picky eaters". I had the Blackened Grilled Seafood mix. You get 3 shrimp, 3 scallops, and a generous filet of fish served with grilled veggies and rice. Our waitress (Rachel) recommended an upgrade to grouper as the fish and Diver scallops. I accepted and was glad for the recommendation. It did cost about $12 extra. The food was excellent. It comes with a spicy mayonnaise dip, which I liked also. I had one of the cheaper Chardonnay's, and it paired well with my dinner My wife chose the Cajun Chicken Pasta, and she was very happy with the food. She could not finish the entire bowl. The kids got the flatbread Hawaiian pizza and the BBQ stack burger. The fries with the burger were like a hybrid of waffle fries and potato cakes; they were very tasty! Great experience, great service, great food. We will be back for sure. Ps we ate at Frenchys original the previous night. No comparison in our opinion. My family and I recently dined here, and our experience was beyond amazing. We chose to sit at an outside table under an umbrella, which provided a lovely atmosphere for our meal. The service was exceptional, thanks to our sweet and attentive server from Pennsylvania (I wish I could remember her name!). She ensured we had everything we needed throughout our visit. I started with a strawberry mimosa, which was delightful. A quick tip for those sitting outside: the heat can get to your drink, so don't hesitate to ask for some ice if you need it. For my main course, I ordered the lobster omelette, and it was phenomenal. The portion of lobster in the omelette was perfect, and it was cooked to perfection. The grits that came with it were equally fantastic. Our son had two eggs with cheese, grits, and sausage, and he devoured his meal. My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros, which he described as very satisfying. He says it had the flavor that he was expecting in a Latin genre of breakfast. Overall, our experience here was wonderful, and we will definitely be returning the next time we're in Clearwater. Highly recommended! read more

Beware of this location! Go to Dunedin if you want good food from this brand... We waited 20/25 min to sit, server did a good job, kitchen not so good. Ordered a burger rare, made the wrong burger, then asked if they could scrape off the toppings and re-use the same burger with the correct toppings, after I already had abite out of it. As bad as that sounds, I should have said yes because my second "rare" burger came out well done. Balsamic glaze chips with blue cheese on top was more of a bowl of balsamic soup and very little BC. Tip: don't do a bloody Mary bar with ice in the glass! Give the glass with vodka, then let the bar serve the ice prior to adding toppings. Super nice girl but way to chatty with everyone to finish my time sensitive drink. Tables way to close together! I enjoy sitting in public eating, I don't enjoy sitting so close to the tables on either side of me that I can smell their breath. Very pricey for food and drinks for fast food at best. As I mentioned before, go to Dunedin and you will experience something way different from this brand. read more

I came to Clearwater Beach from the Northeast 2 years ago. The first place I ever went was Clear Sky recommended to me by a realtor. It has become my home away from home I work in the medical field, therefore, I am not home much. Clear Sky became my 2nd family. I got there at least 3 times a week. I enjoy the happy hour with 1/2 pizzas, however, I love the booze burger with the whiskey sauce and black and bleu fries. Also, when I had family in town, we had entrees which were wonderful with the best calamari you could have. I highly recommend it. Coming from the Northeast, sitting on the patio with the sun shining and being able to see the gulf goes without saying. I highly recommend Clear Sky for a fun, friendly atmosphere with great servers and great food. read more

I had a nice meal here last night, great location on beautiful Clearwater Beach. Th efood was delicious, I had a flatbread Pizza and an app at the bar. Service was excellent at the bar, nice good looking chap, very friendly, even as he was being berated by who I thought was a drunk obnoxios patron, and turned out to be the owner. What an ass! This guy needs to get some anger management or get off the bottle?? I used to be in the restaurant business and there is nothing worse than a idiot boss to work for. other then that moron, the restaurant is wonderful, good quality food at reasonable prices and great service, I will definately go back. read more

I am a local resident on Clearwater Beach and dine here at least once a week and each and everytime I have friends or family visit. My 8 year old twin grandsons won't go anywhere else and have said to everyone that Clear Sky has the best Pizza ever!! I love the calamari salad and any of the seafood items. You can't beat the happy hour specials that feature 1/2 price pizzas !! The service is always friendly and attentive and themanagement makes you feel special. oh!! And when I do eat red meat which I save for a special occasion...you cannot find a better burger!!! Thumbs up!! You will be the next person writing a great review!! read more

My daughter went online and found this place since it's our first time visiting were not sure what we were going to see. When we got there were seated outside which was nice, not a big place cozy and small. I liked our waiter RIO she was really nice she knew the menu and did recommend a lot from it, I had the seafood jambalaya had to add more spice (I like it spicey) was looking for red beans but everyone makes it different, food was good it was pricey (just a heads up). But, seating outside that was breezy, sunny, feeling safe and relaxed ...it was a nice night with good food. read more

We are vacationing in Clearwater beach and randomly chose to eat here. What a happy accident! Our server, David was very professional and passionate about the food here. The restaurant was also very kid-friendly, which we were worried about before we arrived. I had the amazing Korean Short Rib which just fell apart it was so tender. My wife had the filet medallions which David told her would be fork-tender. He did not disappoint! Also, the kids fries were probably the best I've ever tasted. Great food, great atmosphere. Stopped for a quick bite to eat. Joel our server was very informative and helpful with making suggestions for appetizers and the evening specials. The tuna nachos are simply amazing.The portion size is large enough for the whole group. Our main entrees came out looking very nicely presented. The blackened seafood plate was delicious. My wife enjoyed the street tacos. We never had to ask for drink refills as Joel was on top of everything. It was our first time visiting Florida, especially Clearwater. We had made a reservation at Clear Sky Cafe at 5:30, but we had got in early before our reservation time and they were able to sit us down. Our waiter was Rio she was very friendly and recommended delicious food that we should try especially the drinks which were my favorite including the hush puppies and Mahi dish. If you get a chance go to this place and have the bloody Mary oh my gosh best around here I've had since I was in New Orleans. I do like the steak and eggs it's kind of cold updated the filet we could be a little bigger but I'm a big eater. I said at the bar when I go there and I got a Telya the bartenders at home and sweet kind and very helpful. Good friend of mine Brad is there multiple times a week. What can I say other than I love this place. The staff is great and the service is awesome. They have a bunch of stuff on the menu to choose from. Voted best happy hour on Clearwater beach. It's half price all well drinks, beers, & house wines every day 3-630 & about 20% off pizzas, flatbreads, & bruschettas on Monday through Friday. Every time I come here I'm never disappointed. We are in Clearwater for the week as tourists from Canada. We had a great experience! Despite the fact that the place was quite busy, we've received quick attention from our server Meghan. She recommend a great IPA beer and when she realized that we like wine, she came back with a GENEROUS sample of her favorite. Food was awesome. We had the Ahi Tuna salad. Skewers are also very tasty. To the owner Dan: For a "no frills BEACH bar" I must say the "no bathing suits" policy is rather asinine. My friend and I walked into your rather dead establishment this afternoon and simply because my girl friend had her bikini top on with her skirt cover up and didn't have a shirt with her, we couldn't be guests at your bar. Came for dinner while visiting from Maryland. David was an excellent server. Brought out ice water to begin the meal. We ordered the lobster Mac and cheese and the lobster ravioli and both were to die for. For desert we got the lava cake and key lime pie. Second, the menu changed since we were here a few weeks ago -- changed items and higher prices. I've come to LOVE the beer-battered hog snapper platter. Came with 3 pieces and was $22... GONE. Now replaced with "fish & chips" -- 2 pieces of cod and now $24! COD costs HALF as much as hog snapper, so why give LESS and charge MORE? And it's a less flavorful fish. Really disappointed. Third, we were half way into our salads when the entree arrived. So it sat there getting cold (refer back to the fan complaint). Crabby's, please bring the hog snapper back or at least give a 3rd piece if you stay with the cod, and add another waiter or two on a busy Friday. The food was good, but served cold, which was a disappointment. The "key lime tartar sauce" was not cold or chilled at all, and to my palate, nasty (taste and consistency.) Boom boom tacos: okay. Grouper tacos with coconut rice and beans: tacos were good. Rice was cold. Black beans appeared to have suffered from lamp exposure (crusted top). They covered the cold rice. Ick.. Child's grilled chicken: this child had eaten the Child's Grilled Chicken at Island Way Grill the night before ~ every bite. This grilled chicken was totally rejected. Also cold. Fish and Chips were good. Cole slaw has pineapples in it, in case you need that info. Paid parking available in the lot. So ~ Frenchy's is literally right here. The food will be much better. Frenchy's service is excellent and can manage curve calls better than Crabby's. Crabby's has indoor dining with air conditioning and live music. Good sunset viewing. Food? Not so much.

At around $45, I felt it was overpriced for what it was. The highlight of the evening was definitely the view and, even more importantly, the waitress. She was absolutely amazing--10 out of 10! She was attentive, friendly, and made sure I was happy with my meal throughout the evening. I'm really glad they offer vegan options--that's a great first step. The next step is making those dishes as flavorful and memorable as the rest of the dining experience.
