Perfect find on Yelp. We were visiting Orlando with extended family for summer vacation but a few beach bums in the party needed some beach access so we headed to Clearwater. Yelp led us to this spot and it checked all of the boxes. Natalie was a breath of fresh air and super kind. A Pear mimosa started my brunch experience. I'm not quite sure it was pear versus pomegranate but it was good. It was hard to choose which seafood omelette to get with all of the amazing options. I landed on the Lobster omelette and I couldn't have been happier. The amount of chunks of lobster in that omelette was ridiculous! It was probably one of the best omelettes I've ever had. I don't eat grits but something said try the smoked Gouda grits. The one who doesn't like grits could barely stop eating them. I had the English muffin, too, and it was good. service and food 10/10 we have tried all the places in Clearwater this one is the best! I had the lobster ravioli! For what I've been paying for in Clearwater I haven't had the quality or quantity of food. But clear sky has changed that! The lobster ravioli comes with lots of stuffed pasta not just three to five like post places AND the sauce had HUGE lobster chunks. My server was amazing! Wanted to find a good restaurant before we set off for our sunset cruise in the gulf. Search out this restaurant on you guessed it, yelp started with the tuna nachos and the char grilled octopus both good appetizer to start. Grill tuna and sushi bowl as well as the braised short rib for the entrees. Entrees were all good my braised short rib was very tender and seasoned well. Not sure I would've paired the gnocchi pasta with the braised rib. read more

We will come again every time we are in town! We had our girlfriends gathering here for brunch but we missed it by 15 minutes (ends at 1). we loved everything about it. The tuna bowl was excellent so was their octopus. Coconut shrimp was delish! So was the Caesar wrap. They sat us outside because of our large group and we were perfectly cooled by their large outdoor A/C and ceiling fans. Our server Jackie was on top of her game and is who recommended each of our dishes. Excellent place!! read more

We're back! I absolutely love this diner. Came back here to Clearwater Florida for Phillies spring training and was so excited to come back to this cafe. Ordered the lobster omelette and a coffee and it was so delicious. Our server was so nice and attentive. We always get great service here at this cafe. We were seated outside and the weather was beautiful while enjoying the food. Vibes were just amazing here. I'm definitely going to be taking advantage of coming to this place a lot before heading back to Philly. Highly recommend!!!!! read more

Today, my husband and I went to breakfast here. We ordered the plain waffles (you get 2) and the Dos Tacos, which were cooked with Mexican chorizo. Btw, waffles are very small and come from a plastic bag, like you get in bulk at Costco. Tacos tasted good, however we wanted to add sour cream, after we received the food. My husband asked for it, but after 10 minutes of sitting there while our food was getting cold, I flagged down the server and her response was "I do have other tables." When she brought us the sour cream she said "we don't have any support staff" instead of just saying I'm sorry it took so long. While we finished up breakfast, drinking our coffee, I noticed that inside my husband's decaf coffee mug that there was around a teaspoon of coffee grounds.. I work at a large hotel on Clearwater Beach, in which I refer our guests to this restaurant all the time. I will think carefully the next time my guests asks for an amazing breakfast place in the morning. Do better - be better. read more

Nice little spot. We sat in the outdoor covered patio since it was very nice out. The service was decent even though the server was hard to find towards the end, I believe because his shift was ending. The food was good. We had - Lobster Omelette - Chunks of Maine lobster and spinach, topped with mornay sauce. I added avocado to it. This was delicious and fresh. Generous portion of lobster. I ordered the homestyle potatoes for my side which were delicious. 4/5 ($18 + $2.95 for the avocado, uncharge was a bit steep) Cinnamon Bun French Toast - Homemade cinnamon bun dipped in egg batter. WOW These were awesome and definitely worth a try. Very indulgent but also delicious, completely worth the excess calories. We split one as dessert and still had left overs for later. 5/5 ($13.00) I also tried some of their steak and eggs which were not great. The steak didn't taste like it was very fresh, I feel like it might have been frozen. I enjoyed our visit. I would recommend trying them out if you're in the area. read more

We had a big group of 15 for dinner last night and Clear Sky Café could not have been more accommodating. The staff was so kind and welcoming from the moment we walked in. They got us seated quickly, kept the service moving, and never made us feel rushed. The menu had something for everyone, including great kid-friendly options which made the parents in our group very happy. Food came out hot, fresh, and exactly as ordered. Labor Day stay-cation brunch. Got there a little early at 10:30; no wait for a table of two. The vibes are nicer diner heavily flavored with "Florida vacation", with colorful sea turtle artwork hanging, and the shadows of palm trees silhouetted over the window blinds. I had the gulf coast omelette and boy was it loaded; mahi, shrimp, crab, scallops, spinach, and tomatoes topped with a creamy white sauce. They did not skimp on the seafood, especially impressive at the low price point. I upgraded my side from potatoes to fruit, a pro play which really brightened up the meal. The biggest standout of the meal was the biscuit. Honestly I hadn't planned on eating it. One bite just out of curiosity and j was hooked. The biscuit was so perfectly buttery, just a little salty, and a hint of crispy. Amazing. My wife's veggie Benedict with a side of potatoes scratched the Benedict itch that she'd been having. I thought the hollandaise sauce was very well balanced. Our server was friendly and prompt without hovering. Prices were lower than one would expect for a popular spot with high quality food in a tourist locale. Bonus points for a small lot with free parking. We would definitely come back for brunch if we're ever in the neighborhood again. read more

Busy cafe,I can see why. Food was 5 * as was our server. Costal omelet was full of a mixture of chopped seafood. Eggs fluffy,grits perfectly seasoned. Waitress cane back 3x tocheck up onus and offer water to go. Definitely would go back. Prices in line for area. read more

I love this place and wish we had one in Louisville. The food, the people, the atmosphere is incredible. They don't close 15mins before noon when they say they serve til noon. We tried to chase a waterfall at Hogans restaurant, but they stop serving breakfast at 11:45pm and they said until noon, we walked right across the road to clear sky and the first thing our host said is we are still on breakfast. It was perfect. If you are in clear water I recommend this place i had the lobster of letters, and blue berry Mimosa. Not pictured but, the drunken piggy is. It was strong and had bacon in it. Can't wait to come back read more

The place is hit or miss. I've had pretty pleasant dinners there in the past, but, last night, I was served a raw ribeye. When I pointed it out to the waitress, rather than displaying contrition and concern that they had failed to safely cook their meat, she was rude and condescending. Now, I understand that in Florida you are probably bombarded with retirees sending meat back because it isn't burnt to a crisp, but this was literally raw. It would have been a health hazard to eat it. And, regardless, even if you disagree with my assessment, you are supposed to keep that to yourself ("The customer is always right."). I believe this particular waitress was fairly new, as I hadn't seen her when I was there in the past. I would advise training her on some basic social skills. read more

From the second I was greeted at the door Landon was super nice and attentive he made sure to answer all of our questions! after we had a fifteen minute wait for our table we were greeted by the most fabulous server I've encountered in years! Kristina with a k! Was so nice and informative and she made my mother and I feel right at home honestly might be stopping by tomorrow night not just for the unbelievable deal on stone crabs and lobsters dinners but because of the service. The edamame was our least favorite dish. I did discuss this with kalby and the manager. The idea was there but poor execution. The gochujang sea salt...the gochujang just wasn't there and once you ate that top layer all you got was oily edamame, so much oil...you wouldn't need chapstick for the rest of the day. Then wins though came from the cocktails. Ours were delicious and my old fashion was spot on. Also in the win was the sunset sushi, beautiful and fantastic, along with Korean crispy chicken. The peanut sauce was the perfect balance to that meal. Now...what we also loved that should be permanently on the menu was the mochi. We had 4 of them and they were wonderful! Everyone should be able to experience these. But ocean hai on your list as a must try place for sure.

Clear Sky Restaurant in Clearwater Beach is a very good place with a great atmosphere, great staff, and most importantly, great food. I visited on a Saturday for brunch and although there was a line out the door, we only waited about 20 minutes which was totally worth it. Our server Danielle was amazing and very attentive. She made the experience even better by providing impeccable service. The menu options at Clear Sky Restaurant are endless, and we tried several items. The mimosas were great and a perfect way to start our meal. In addition, we also had fresh squeezed orange juice which was very good. The heart attack biscuit, which is three eggs your way, fried chicken, gravy, and cheese served on a buttermilk biscuit, was nothing short of amazing. The biscuit was perfectly crispy and the combination of flavors was just perfect. We also tried the Mexican Skillet which is a skillet with Chorizo sausage, guacamole, sour cream, pepper jack cheese, and a side of ranchero sauce. This dish was bursting with flavor and definitely one of our favorites. The chicken burrito was equally impressive with grilled chicken, two scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, cheddar-jack cheese, topped with guacamole, sour cream, and ranchero sauce, served with homestyle potatoes. The dish was filling and delicious, with each ingredient complementing the other perfectly. The Beignets & Berries was a delightful and light dessert that I highly recommend ordering for the table during brunch. This deep-fried French pastry with fresh berries and caramel, topped with powdered sugar, was a perfect end to our meal. I also recommend ordering the breakfast potatoes crispy as they were the perfect accompaniment to all our dishes. Overall, I highly recommend Clear Sky Restaurant in Clearwater Beach. We had such a wonderful dinner experience at Clear Sky Cafe! Kristina and Rashid were amazing and provided excellent service from start to finish. When we first arrived, we chose to sit outside but changed our minds due to noise. The vibe outside was very different than inside, just a more lively and inside was a little quieter and calmer. Take your pick!!! They moved us inside without any hesitation and were so kind and accommodating about it. I am currently following a strict low-FODMAP elimination diet, which can make eating out extremely stressful. Kristina was incredibly helpful and patient with all of my questions and concerns, especially regarding gluten, dairy, garlic, and onion. She went back to the kitchen multiple times to check ingredients and even helped brainstorm possible substitutions so I could still enjoy my meal safely. I ended up ordering a margarita-style pizza with olive oil, mozzarella, basil, and bacon, and it was great! Every time Kristina came to the table, she asked whether I had any additional questions and made sure I felt comfortable with everything I was eating. She was also funny, friendly, and genuinely made the entire experience much less stressful. My family was still able to enjoy meals that looked amazing, while I felt completely taken care of. It can be very difficult to eat out with strict dietary concerns, but Kristina and Rashid made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable. I truly could not have asked for a better experience. I will definitely ask for their help again the next time I visit. They make a great team, and this is an overall fantastic restaurant! read more

Beware of this location! The Dunedin location does a much better job with the food. Different menu, much better selections. Over priced for drinks, same as the draught haus but it makes it ok if I'm getting good food. Balsamic glaze blue cheese kettle chips were more of a bowl of balsamic soup with a blue cheese n chip garnish. Ordered the booze burger and was served with a thai satay sauce. Sent the burger back, only to have the server tell me that the kitchen wants to know if they can use the same patty and just scrape off the sauce and toppings. As I thought to myself, why do I want someone handling a patty that I already took a bite out of, I should have said yes because my second "rare" burger came out well done. Bloody Mary bar has great selections, however, the bartender was very slow and by the time I got mine dressed and ready to consume, half the ice was melted. Tip: don't do a Bloody Mary bar out in the sun! Luke warm toppings and mixers is not very appetizing! Overall grade, D-. I've heard and read so many great things about this place. 800 sq ft of sitting on top of each other is not a good time for me. Not to mention the tourist next to me feeding the seagulls. One more tip, I don't have respect for mangers that sit outside and smoke when your on a wait. Good luck at your next job! read more

Ate there 4 days in a row just this week with the family, and all 4 times were really, really good. Staff was very attentive and friendly (thanks to Spenser, Joel, Luigi and our first waitress whom I forgot the name, sorry dear), and food was top notch. At first glance Clear Sky seems more like a regular beach joint, one you find at any beach area with live music, but no, they are absolutely a few steps above that (not that there is anything wrong with it). I mean, I had their pork chop and it was perfectly cooked and with a mustard sauce out of this world (+fingerling potatoes and a oven baked tomato - yummmm). The mussels we had the last day (white wine/garlic) were also fantastic, worthy of a Michelin star (no kidding) - and they brought us fresh extra garlic toasts to finish up the abundant broth. Live music outside was fine, but a bit loud (our choice though as there was plenty seats available inside. Only thing I could say is a negative (and the reason we did not seat inside), is the outdated décor, but wouldn't take a star out because of it. Anyway, congrats to the chef and all staff. BTW, thanks for the free lava cake you gave us for my daughters birthday, it was very much appreciated. Will be back soon as we travel to Clearwater often and stay right across the street. read more

I have taken my visitors from out of town to visit this establishment RELIGIOUSLY for the past 2 years, since moving here. After the service I received this weekend, I WILL NOT be returning. My server, NICOLE was condescending, completely inattentive and overly RUDE! Any time we asked a question regarding the menu, her response was, "Read the description". I had already read the description and wanted a little clarification, which she was unwilling to provide. She then forgot to put in my husbands' order and when we pointed this out, she stormed away and returned to tell us that we never ordered it!!!! She never once apologized or tried to make our dining experience pleasant in any way!! I can not even fathom how she gained employment here or made it through training. She then took it upon herself to add gratuity to our bill, when we were only 4 people! I didn't notice at the restaurant and tipped her on top of that, and she never bothered to point out that we DOUBLE TIPPED her ACCIDENTALLY. I am guessing she does this often. The whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will be taking my company to Caretta on the Gulf, where the customer is ALWAYS right and treated with respect. read more

One of our favorites in Clearwater. The menu is extensive, so good for families with "picky eaters". I had the Blackened Grilled Seafood mix. You get 3 shrimp, 3 scallops, and a generous filet of fish served with grilled veggies and rice. Our waitress (Rachel) recommended an upgrade to grouper as the fish and Diver scallops. I accepted and was glad for the recommendation. It did cost about $12 extra. The food was excellent. It comes with a spicy mayonnaise dip, which I liked also. I had one of the cheaper Chardonnay's, and it paired well with my dinner My wife chose the Cajun Chicken Pasta, and she was very happy with the food. She could not finish the entire bowl. The kids got the flatbread Hawaiian pizza and the BBQ stack burger. The fries with the burger were like a hybrid of waffle fries and potato cakes; they were very tasty! Great experience, great service, great food. We will be back for sure. Ps we ate at Frenchys original the previous night. No comparison in our opinion. Frenchys smells strongly of seafood upon entrance. The seating is too close proximity, and the servers were overwhelmed. The margaritas were tasty. read more

My family and I recently dined here, and our experience was beyond amazing. We chose to sit at an outside table under an umbrella, which provided a lovely atmosphere for our meal. The service was exceptional, thanks to our sweet and attentive server from Pennsylvania (I wish I could remember her name!). She ensured we had everything we needed throughout our visit. I started with a strawberry mimosa, which was delightful. A quick tip for those sitting outside: the heat can get to your drink, so don't hesitate to ask for some ice if you need it. For my main course, I ordered the lobster omelette, and it was phenomenal. The portion of lobster in the omelette was perfect, and it was cooked to perfection. The grits that came with it were equally fantastic. Our son had two eggs with cheese, grits, and sausage, and he devoured his meal. My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros, which he described as very satisfying. He says it had the flavor that he was expecting in a Latin genre of breakfast. Overall, our experience here was wonderful, and we will definitely be returning the next time we're in Clearwater. Highly recommended! read more

Beware of this location! Go to Dunedin if you want good food from this brand... We waited 20/25 min to sit, server did a good job, kitchen not so good. Ordered a burger rare, made the wrong burger, then asked if they could scrape off the toppings and re-use the same burger with the correct toppings, after I already had abite out of it. As bad as that sounds, I should have said yes because my second "rare" burger came out well done. Balsamic glaze chips with blue cheese on top was more of a bowl of balsamic soup and very little BC. Tip: don't do a bloody Mary bar with ice in the glass! Give the glass with vodka, then let the bar serve the ice prior to adding toppings. Super nice girl but way to chatty with everyone to finish my time sensitive drink. Tables way to close together! I enjoy sitting in public eating, I don't enjoy sitting so close to the tables on either side of me that I can smell their breath. Very pricey for food and drinks for fast food at best. As I mentioned before, go to Dunedin and you will experience something way different from this brand. read more

I came to Clearwater Beach from the Northeast 2 years ago. The first place I ever went was Clear Sky recommended to me by a realtor. It has become my home away from home I work in the medical field, therefore, I am not home much. Clear Sky became my 2nd family. I got there at least 3 times a week. I enjoy the happy hour with 1/2 pizzas, however, I love the booze burger with the whiskey sauce and black and bleu fries. Also, when I had family in town, we had entrees which were wonderful with the best calamari you could have. I highly recommend it. Coming from the Northeast, sitting on the patio with the sun shining and being able to see the gulf goes without saying. Service was excellent at the bar, nice good looking chap, very friendly, even as he was being berated by who I thought was a drunk obnoxios patron, and turned out to be the owner. What an ass! I am a local resident on Clearwater Beach and dine here at least once a week and each and everytime I have friends or family visit. My 8 year old twin grandsons won't go anywhere else and have said to everyone that Clear Sky has the best Pizza ever!! I love the calamari salad and any of the seafood items. You can't beat the happy hour specials that feature 1/2 price pizzas !! The service is always friendly and attentive and themanagement makes you feel special. oh!! My daughter went online and found this place since it's our first time visiting were not sure what we were going to see. When we got there were seated outside which was nice, not a big place cozy and small. I liked our waiter RIO she was really nice she knew the menu and did recommend a lot from it, I had the seafood jambalaya had to add more spice (I like it spicey) was looking for red beans but everyone makes it different, food was good it was pricey (just a heads up). We are vacationing in Clearwater beach and randomly chose to eat here. What a happy accident! Our server, David was very professional and passionate about the food here. The restaurant was also very kid-friendly, which we were worried about before we arrived. I had the amazing Korean Short Rib which just fell apart it was so tender. Stopped for a quick bite to eat. Joel our server was very informative and helpful with making suggestions for appetizers and the evening specials. The tuna nachos are simply amazing.The portion size is large enough for the whole group. Our main entrees came out looking very nicely presented. The blackened seafood plate was delicious. It was our first time visiting Florida, especially Clearwater. We had made a reservation at Clear Sky Cafe at 5:30, but we had got in early before our reservation time and they were able to sit us down. Our waiter was Rio she was very friendly and recommended delicious food that we should try especially the drinks which were my favorite including the hush puppies and Mahi dish. If you get a chance go to this place and have the bloody Mary oh my gosh best around here I've had since I was in New Orleans. I do like the steak and eggs it's kind of cold updated the filet we could be a little bigger but I'm a big eater. What can I say other than I love this place. The staff is great and the service is awesome. They have a bunch of stuff on the menu to choose from. Voted best happy hour on Clearwater beach. It's half price all well drinks, beers, & house wines every day 3-630 & about 20% off pizzas, flatbreads, & bruschettas on Monday through Friday. Every time I come here I'm never disappointed. We are in Clearwater for the week as tourists from Canada. We had a great experience! Despite the fact that the place was quite busy, we've received quick attention from our server Meghan. Came for dinner while visiting from Maryland. David was an excellent server. Brought out ice water to begin the meal. We ordered the lobster Mac and cheese and the lobster ravioli and both were to die for. For desert we got the lava cake and key lime pie. From the beginning, the staff, the atmosphere, the food, and the scenery is top notch. Justin was a quick and efficient waiter. He recommend me the grouper cake, which wasn't an option I thought of and he nailed it! The veggies were outstanding, the rice delicious, and the grouper cake amazing. My wife got the surf n turf. The mash...excellent, steak...great, the shrimp...solid. I'm so glad we fell into this spot! Highly recommend.

On another visit we got the oyster special and some key lime pie. The oysters were kind of odd like they were preshucked. Also kind of warm which was concerning. The smelled and tasted fresh enough though. I would not get those again. The pie looked amazing! I didn't like it though. I'm not big on sweets and this was very sweet. I was hoping for more lime and tartness. I know we will be back on our next beach visit.

Service was pretty good, friendly and nice. We started with oysters, and those were great. We also had some guacamole that was pretty good. Tuna tartare was amazing. I had tuna poke bowl and loved it. Salad was fresh and tasty. All food definitely fresh and delicious. My husband had tacos and a fried had crab cake sandwich. Definitely a great place and was positively surprised by the quality.

I didn't try one so I just take her word as to how good they were. DU had blackened grouper; only trouble was that it didn't come out with everything else. Once it finally DID come out, DU enjoyed it quite nicely. However this is the kinda stuff that needs to be squared away. This is why Star #4 doesn't get it. We love dear Michelle and the ambiance in this joint. Let's see what happens next time...if there IS one. Just don't hold your breath please.
