    Minestrone soup and malfatti

We wouldn't have found this place without yelp, as it is in an odd location. Don't let the restaurant front and lack of ambiance fool you. The flavors and the menu are very unique and authentic. If you think "Olive Garden ", this is not your place. Open your mind and tastebuds to the real deal. And along that note, Joanne is the real deal. This Italian woman, right from the Cittoni family will make your day! The only surprise I had that took me back, was that we were given two loaves of bread to go along with our meal for two people, then when we looked at the bill, we were charged $12.25 for the bread. I recommend this restaurant!

Spaghetti and meat sauce bread and a Pepsi
    Jennell H.

I was in the Napa area taking care of business had a taste for spaghetti and meat sauce so I went to this place and ordered spaghetti meat sauce 1 pint also ordered a half a loaf of bread and one Pepsi the order came up to $24.88 and the food was no good , it was awful. Best thing about the order was the Pepsi and the bread. The food was bland. The meat sauce didn't taste like meat no salt and the cheese and sauce had no flavor. Very disappointed took two bites and threw the rest in the garbage stay away from the spaghetti at all cost. I feel like I've been robbed without a gun.

They moved to this new restaurant in a shopping center. Come support them. I remember when they were in the little place behind the liquor store. We would get food every time we came to Napa and go to the river to eat. This new place is a complete restaurant with tables and chairs so you can take out or eat here. My favorite is meat sauce with baguette but the ravioli is also great. Have to come back and try something different. Authentic Italian food, family owned. Btw, yelp gives you the wrong address if you press on 'directions' it's on Imola Ave.

    Gnocchi and Malfatti

I'm a fan! Hubby is a Gnocchi man. My family recently moved not too far and got this place recommended by our friend down in OC. We got takeout at 11am on a Saturday and the Gnocchi and Malfatti are amazing!!! The 3 beans salad is so refreshing. If you're looking for authentic Italian takeout or catering. Give them a try!

This place is a hidden gem and I hope it's gets some attention here so we don't lose another authentic local family food spot! I drove over from Sonoma to enjoy some childhood memories with my son as we used to dine at the old Depot when he was a lil one. After Depot closed I'd grab some Malfatti and Gnocchi behind Val's liquor store and now their new location on Imola. We ordered a tray of that had all 3, ravioli, malfatti, and gnocchi in the meat sauce. We like to call it gravy and it's full of flavor with just the right balance. Grabbed a loaf of bread to dip in the gravy too and decided to grab a table inside. The owners daughter was so nice and showed us the wall of history she created to share as you walk in. We had great conversation and she was so warm and friendly. The place is very clean and simple tucked in the River Park shopping center.

My family has been ordering malfatti's from Clemente's ever since I can remember, but now we can't figure out where they are located anymore. Have they moved to the outlets? Where can we purchase Clemente's from now?

They are now at the Riverpark shopping center on Imola

Both dishes were cooked perfect, tender pasta and delicious sauces. We were to full to order dessert. The place is really nice inside with a really nice decor. Once seated we were greeted by our amazing server Jessica. I cannot stress how wonderful she was, from beginning to end. She was so attentive and super sweet. She opened a bottle of wine that we had brought with us to celebrate. (Crock fee was $25, fyi). She even offered to pour our wine into a decanter. We started off with some appetizers, the crab cakes and skirt steak satay. OMG these two items were just absolutely delicious. So much flavor! For our entrees I ordered the chicken parmigiana with Alfredo and my husband ordered the Linguine Frutti Di Mare. Again, the food was absolutely amazing. We definitely will be coming back. The seafood pasts was good but nothing extraordinary about it and not that much seafood in it for the $37 price tag. I was curious about the green pesto looking one! We were able to grab one of the last reservations of the evening, and after the short drive over, we were seated right at our 9:00 reservation time. From the moment we walked in, the hosts were warm and welcoming, and we knew we had made the right decision. One of the managers, Stephen, stopped by our table and welcomed us with complimentary glasses of Prosecco for the birthday celebration, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. We started with the Pasta Fritta con Prosciutto--crispy, rosemary-scented pasta dough wrapped in prosciutto with mascarpone espuma, honey, and Parmigiano Reggiano. It was the perfect balance of savory and sweet. We also shared the Caesar Nero, made with little gem lettuce, black garlic, and Parmigiano crostini, which was fresh and flavorful. For cocktails, we both ordered the Porch Punch. Made with Redwood Empire Pipe Dream 101, yellow peach, oolong tea, lemon, vanilla, and clarified using the milk punch process, it tasted like a refreshing peach tea. The etched ice cubes with wine glasses and utensils were a small detail that made the presentation even more memorable. For our entrées, Face ordered the Salmon Risotto, while I had the Carbonara. The carbonara is topped with an activated charcoal Parmesan tuile, and while it looks dramatic, it doesn't change the flavor at all--it simply adds a beautiful presentation. The pasta was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Bottega didn't just serve us an incredible meal--they rescued what could have been a very disappointing birthday dinner. The hospitality, service, and food were exceptional, and I'd happily make the drive back to Yountville again.

Delicious without being drowned. The soup was hearty and well seasoned. My wife loved it so much we ordered a quart to go. That is saying a lot as she is not a huge fan of Italian cuisine. Now, I am kind of a pizza snob so, my expectations weren't that high. Wow! Was I wrong! The crust was crisp with a soft center. The sauce was perfect, not too much or too little, just right. It's not the most spacious restaurant, but they do cram a lot of seats in the space they do have. Most of the seating is inside, but they have a decent amount of tables out in front. The parking lot is small, so I had to park a few blocks away and walk. I'd heard this was a favorite among the locals, so I was excited to try it, but unfortunately, it just wasn't great. Not terrible, but not really all that good either. and the price (for the quality of food) really makes this a one-and-done place for me. - Mezze Rigatoni (pork belly, chard, prosciutto): this pasta came with some sort of butter sauce. the combination of the minced pork belly and prosciutto made for a salt bomb. I couldn't really taste much else, and I love salt... but this was just... too... much... - Spaghetti (chicken skin, lovage): I guess I had made a bad assumption in thinking this would be dressed with tomato sauce. nope. it had the same exact sauce as the rigatoni. it would've been fantastic if our waitress would've mentioned this when ordering. I was excited for this bc I love me some crispy chicken skin, and crispy it was. unfortunately, it was also much too salty. not quite as salty as the rigatoni, but still very much so out of balance. - Pepperoni (mozzarella, hot honey, basil): I was actually a little afraid of ordering this at first bc I had seen some comments mentioning how this place does not really accommodate requests for changes to their dishes, and I wanted the hot honey served on the side. thankfully, they happily obliged my request without any grief. The pizza was pretty good. Unfortunately, my palate was still suffering from the salt of the prior dishes, so the saltiness of the pepperoni was not great. But even so, I appreciated the pizza for what it was. As anticipated, I preferred eating it without the hot honey; though, I did take a few bites with it drizzled on. The crust had a nice char to it. I wish there was a bit more sauce on it though as it ate a little dry. would I pay $32 + tax + tip to eat this again even if I didn't have to deal with reservations or wait times, etc? nope. it wasn't that good. I would've actually been happier eating a Round Table pizza.
