My friends surprised me with a night out to dinner for my birthday! It was absolutely amazing. From the beginning to end we were treated so nicely. We started off with the shrimp appetizer and it was nothing short of amazing. I also started off with a gin dirty martini and it was probably the best one I've ever had. For dinner we all tried something different; I had a burger with mashed potatoes and it was so good! Following, I received a free birthday dessert, I got the bread pudding. When I say it was delicious, it was delicious!! The entire evening did not disappoint me! I love trying new places and this is one place that will become a favorite!! We visited Cobblestone in quaint, downtown Zionsville. There are few options there, but this one had a good reputation and reviews. The establishment is not huge as would be expected for an old downtown building. However, it has been modernized well. The outside seating area was small and quaint as well, but nicely decorated and the flora was a good accent. Bar selection of beer and cocktails were very good with local and other brews on tap. Menu is limited but what we ordered was well done and presented well. I would rather have a small menu than huge... not everyone can be good at everything! Our group had the Salmon dish, excellent and the pan-seared halibut was great. The add-on salads were awesome and nice looking. Service was very good and surprised my wife with an ice cream sundae. One issue: parking is HORRENDOUS in Zionsville. Be prepared to circle for some time. read more

I've been here a few times since my original review & have always enjoyed it. Most recently went with a large party, including a few babies. They were great with our large party! Server gave multiple coffee refills for brunch without asking. Came back to table when new individuals came for drink orders. Food was tasty as per usual, service was great as well! The wings come with a generous portion of 12 large pieces... my favs were actually the side of corn casserole and sweet potato chips. I gave it 4 stars, now before you 5 star folks start chunking comments let me take a moment. We made reservations for 4 (small work team dinner) but 2 had to cancel at the last minute. The restaurant sits in a neat little town area, that you just want to walk around, window shop and stick your head in a few businesses. I definitely will come back just for this. Cobblestone isn't large, but doesn't seem to feel small either. You can hold a conversation across the table with having issues to hear or be heard when all the tables are busy. The bar area looks very inviting and when I return, that is probably where you will find me. The hosts and service is top notch. Our table was waiting on us...ready to go. They didn't swarm us immediately, but let us have a few moments to decide on an "Adult Beverage" and possibly an App. I did order a good bourbon and work mate order a glass of white wine. Now I know you are wondering why the 4 stars. I am getting to it. The drinks came, we ordered Entrees. I ordered a Caesar Salad with Blackened Salmon. We also ordered another "Adult Beverage". The food came and the Salmon was perfect, my work "partner in crime" had the steak and it looked like it was cooked to perfection also. My salad could have had a touch more dressing, but that is my taste. I usually have a little extra on the side, but forgot this time. Now... why the 4 stars. Price... and Price alone. I have been to countless restaurants similar, local and chain and the prices were a bit less. I felt these were significantly higher enough to mention it. Now, the food was fantastic it reflects the price you are paying but the "adult beverages" not so much. It was significant. These are the same beverages you could find down the road at another good restaurant, less expensive. Now.... Do not let that deter you from going. The location and atmosphere is warm and inviting. With excellent service and amazing food, you can't go wrong with Cobblestone. WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE Five stars. This is a company that went way beyond just service and food. Something that was accidentally overlooked was made into an opportunity to show how much the owners of this company care about the local community. Many businesses have a easy to access front and hidden back area. Not one of our local businesses enjoy that. Small town and not tons of room. So things that would not be seen our front can get away from anyone put back. I wrote a little post on my FB here about how Cobblestone could improve the easy to access by anyone back side of their restaurant. I even provided a simple graphic showing how things could look. A few months later the owners completely redid the area to better accommodate their large metal trash bin. They used my idea and more. They added a rolling redwood gate and fenced area to totally hide this area. My goals where to help local businesses realize that when all sides are accessible to the public that all sides need to represent what any business thinks of its possible customers. Plus it helps not to block sidewalks or impede movement on sidewalks. That was in my opinion one of the most epic things I have ever seen any company do to show its community respect all around. The prices are medium without drinks. The food is top notch in my book. The level of customer service is spectacular. This establishment is wheelchair friendly for manual and powered. Easy to maneuver once inside. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The pace is relaxed and taking your time to enjoy the food and atmosphere is the norm here. Serving sizes are ample in my opinion. It is a bar and grill so for those who enjoy some spirits with you meal you have a fantastic selection. I do not drink enough to offer insight into what is or is not best with what. My family and I left feeling great about one of our local businesses on all levels. And I wanted to say thank you in case the owners read this: Thank you for redoing the back area like you did. This was our third time visiting Cobblestone. Overall, a casual dining experience with trending menu options that do not disappoint. We stopped in for lunch today. The menu was smaller than many restaurants, but when we got our food, I fell like I saw why. You could tell that each menu item required multiple phases and was give great care in preparation. The fries and sweet potato chips were both excellent! They were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. My wife did not love the bacon on her salad because it was very smoky and thick. But I think many people, with a greater love of bacon, would enjoy it. This is just another example of how Cobblestone tries to stay on the trend setting side of the culinary world. The other night, a few of us adventured out after a long day of work to grab a drink and some snacks. We happened upon Cobblestone in the quaint little town of Zionsville, a place we hadn't been in for quite some time. We were fortunate to grab a table outside on the veranda, which in itself is an unexpected delight. Like stepping back in time really, somehow landing firmly, smack dab in the middle of an Emily Dickinson poem. Nestled in amongst the low hanging tree's and fragrant flowers that surround the centuries old brick and cobbled exterior of the establishment. An acoustic guitarist played mellow classics from the 70's while we drank ice-cold glasses of 3 Floyd's Zombie Dust and munched on Crab Cakes dipped in Jalapeno Remoulade, and the house made Truffle fries, with Basil Aioli. All-in-all a pretty darn fine evening at Cobblestone. A must for those looking for a fine meal, or to just chill over a few drinks, some music, and a few damn good appetizers. read more

Lobster Mac and cheese bites with sriracha aioli for a starter, hands down. Mimos and bloody Marys were good. A bit slow service on the food. Our appetizer arrived and then we waited quite a bit for our entrées (surprising for a Sunday lunch when the restaurant didn't appear too busy). Great food overall. We had a burger, turkey club sandwich, pork belly sandwich, and the steak and eggs with hollandaise. The sandwiches are served with a side of truffle fries and basil pesto aioli (which is delicious!) The turkey club had plastic wrap in it so that part was a bummer since the food was so good. Loved our server, Blake. Attentive and charming. He made us laugh. We'll be back (despite the hiccups) to try the spicy shrimp and the smoked salmon board. Oh! My husband and I came here for our weekly date night, and it is truly a romantic area during the Christmas season with the extra twinkle lights, Christmas music. Other fabulous interior details include Edison bulbs, exposed brick wall, dark autumn colors and dim lighting. Unfortunately, there are no booths, only tables, but each chair is just as comfy as any booth seat. Also, the menu is marked with gluten-free and vegetarian options. Our server was super nice and explained that they are a scratch kitchen with local ingredients and beef on their menu. Well of course, we both ordered beef entrees. I had the 6 oz filet and he had the 12 oz rib-eye, both from Fischer Farms in Jasper, Indiana. The filet came with a Shallot potato puree and some veggies. The rib-eye came with sauteed mushrooms and some little potatoes. OMG! The meat was absolutely perfect! We've had such bad luck lately with steakhouses messing up our steaks, and it was such a relief to enjoy our dinner for a change. Our plates were empty within ten minutes! Yes, it's that good. Had lunch here yesterday and really loved it! The entire lunch menu sounded delicious so I definitely have to come back so I can try everything! I ended up going with the Buddha Bowl - quinoa, olives, hummus, chickpeas, grilled bell peppers, and I added blackened chicken. It tasted great! I hadn't been to Zionsville in a little while. But had the chance to be out that way and decided to try the well-reviewed Cobblestone. The service was great. That's the best part to lead with. The servers were attentive and enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the food they offer. The restaurant itself was spacious and there was a solo musician with an acoustic guitar providing live music, which was a really nice touch of atmosphere. The food was just meh. We ordered truffle fries to start and they came out slightly charred. The parsley and parm were lost in the fry char and the presentation was much closer to what you'd expect for just a boring old plate of fries at a dive bar. For the price and promise, it was a let down. For an entree, I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich. It was presented better and fairly flavorful. The chicken was well cooked and the spicing nice. It wasn't anything special, but at least not completely dive bar level either. The coleslaw that came with it was basic from a plastic tub type ranch coleslaw. If you're in Zionsville, the Cobblestone seems like a nice place to try. I wouldn't go out of my way for it. But it had a charm. read more

Thought we would check out Zionsville and grab some lunch. We decided to check Cobblestone based on the look of the outside courtyard. We sat outside and ordered soup/salad and the white fish sandwich. The food was good; however, the service was subpar. I had to ask three times to get lemon and after receiving our food the server didn't come back for 25 minutes. She never checked to see if we were happy or needed anything else. Came in here with my husband for Valentine's Day/our dating anniversary and couldn't have come away happier. We loved the atmosphere and our waiter was so helpful with answering our questions and giving us recommendations. We both tried one of their drinks. I'd highly recommend the margarita. I'm usually not a fan of tequila but this was mixed so well that there wasn't an overpowering taste of alcohol. We decided to order the burger and the tenderloin and split them both between us. I can happily say that both options are stellar choices. They were cooked well, juicy, flavorful and even better than we expected. It was also so nice to know that we were eating locally raised meat. Although we hadn't planned on it originally, we decided to splurge for dessert which was also incredible. Husband tried the chocolate cake and I tried the chef's special which was a peanut butter chocolate semi fredo. There was a peanut butter "ice cream" with a giant chocolate macaroon with peanuts, caramel sauce, and chocolate sauce. Not only was the food incredible, but our waiter really made our experience special. He was funny, informative, and even chatted with us a little bit after we had ordered our dessert. We were already in great spirits when we walked in but he truly raised the bar.
