This place is close to my new office, so I have been here a few times already. Today I went to use the restroom and walked in on an employee using the urinal. When he was done he went straight to the door and encountered another employee and one of them yelled "oh shit" very loudly as they both were at the door at the same time. My concerns is that HE DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS AFTER URINATING AND TOUCHING HOS JUNK! As he sits in the booth with several other employees, he is very loud and using curse words and does not seem to care who is around, honestly I could care less about the foul language. However, he should at least wash his hands, that's just plain nasty! read more

Just ordered from Cobians 2 kids meals and the fries that it comes with it is sad. Then I order a side of onion rings for $6 and it's nothing. I give this place a solid 4. ATMOSPHERE It's decent inside. Nice open space, good amount of seating, really clean. Nothing about the decor really pops or was memorable at all. It's just a building with some tables and chairs inside that serves food. We were welcome upon entering, which I always applaud. We got seated immediately, and the server came with menus soon after. CUSTOMER SERVICE The staff is what definitely sets this place high above the others. From what I gather, it's a family owned joint - and I freakin' love those. The brother and sister server tag team was great. They were attentive, answered all my annoying questions, and did it all with a smile. FOOD I'm one of those people with the annoying dietary restrictions. Trust me, I annoy me too. LOL. I ordered the TOSTADA which comes with your choice of meat (carne asada, chicken, al pastor), beans, lettuce, salsa, cheese, and sour cream. They were gracious enough to sub the protein for me with a garden burger patty. The tostada was good. No complaints. I'm sure, if I added some REAL meat on there, it would've been better though! I decided to treat myself and order dessert. I got a strawberry churro and a scoop of vanilla Thrifty's ice cream. The churro was fine. I thought it'd be better, but the ice cream made up for it. Just a reminder to the normally great servers at Cobians . Normally service is lovely and friendly with lots of attention. Until today. Was seated and then pretty much ignored. Not the norm! Order was finally taken for breakfast. This after 3-4 other tables with 4 folks were seated. Then we waited.....eggs, bacon and toast. Watched while others were served. When asked where our order might be, our server sat mine down and explained all the food came up at the "same time, Girls".....not surprisingly, my food was cold. NOT THE NORM I will repeat. We waited for our check. New disclaimer on the check saying that the price on the menu is a "cash price" and that 4% was added if not using cash. Then 4% would be deducted if you paid in cash. Waited for our server to come pick up our payment. Finally a different server saw us and took the payment. Then we waited again! When she brought back our cards and the bill (which we asked them to split in 1/2), both of the bills were made out to only one name. Really? We waited again until we got her attention and pointed it out. The attitude was "chill...no big deal". That might've been acceptable if we had not waited so long for service, hot food, refills. So really my purpose in writing this is to bring to light that with eating out so expensive, you do, in most cases, make conscious decision. Where are you going to go and spend your money. Restaurants are a service based business. I'll go back to Cobian's of course. But, if that waitress is still there, I will ask for the older woman! I'd hate to see the restaurant go away because the food is good and normally the service is wonderful. But today pushed a lot of buttons! read more

My wonderful neighbors took me to breakfast here last Sunday. Located in a quite corner of the mall housing 24-Hour Fitness, it's one of their favorite neighborhood restaurants. I like it immediately because it's not packed with throngs of people which would mean a long wait. The interior is open, spacious and bright (there's also an outdoor patio). The omelette I ordered was nicely-prepared, tasty and generously portioned. And the service was quick and friendly. It's a nice way to spend a leisurely Sunday morning enjoying good food and company. read more

You know how these days when you show up somewhere within 15 minutes of closing, and the young 20 something rolls their eyes at you, then proceeds to give you terrible service/terrible food? Well, imagine the EXACT OPPOSITE of that -- that's what this place is. I literally walked up to the door at 7:59PM (they close at 8PM), and was greeted like I was f*%#ing FAMILY. Tony told me to come on in, and sat me down in a wonderful family atmosphere; everyone talking and laughing, and then they proceeded to serve me the BEST DAMN burger I have had in a long freakin time. I got the FRISCO burger and it was just....well, you gotta try it to understand. Unbelievable. I ordered a salad with balsamic instead of fries/onion rings, and I'm glad I did, because the burger is RICH. Even the salad was money; a great portion; fresh greens, good balsamic dressing; perfect to wash the burger down with. I'm literally NEVER I'm this part of town; I just happened to be passing through, saw the spot and stopped. Well, now I'm gonna have to find my way into this part of town twice a week. I heard they were serving burgers and hash browns in the old Russell's style. I had been going to The Little Cafe in Naples whenever I had a yearning but they've changed everything and, regardless of their claims otherwise, no longer do the job. I got a cheeseburger with grilled onions and bacon. It comes with one side and, of course, I chose hash browns. It all cost me $12.61 including tax. Deal! They offer double and triple cheeseburgers but since a single patty is 1/3-pound, one was plenty. You won't go away hungry. I'll have to come back and try some of their other stuff. read more

Saves trips for refills. My husband had a delicious grilled ham and cheese, with very well done fries. I had read several reviews on yelp about how delicious the Frisco burger was so I had to go there. It was every bit as good as I had heard. When a restaurant is very convenient, that a BIG plus for me. They are located at a shopping center, across from Office Depot and next to the Los Alamitos racetrack. Just a heads up guys; they have plenty of parking available, but depending on the time of day parking could be an issue in my opinion due to people going to the gym. So when I arrived, I was welcomed and greeted by the friendly staff. I ordered the 1/3 Lb. Cheeseburger by itself and got it to go. I waited for a couple of minutes and I could smell that it was prepared fresh! The burger had flavor and it was a very good portion size in my opinion. You can additional side orders for extra, but opted not to this time. In my personal opinion, I would recommend Cobian's for their food and their friendly customer service that I received l. Great Mexican breakfasts and service. This is a family owned restaurant, a pair of siblings. They are very committed and friendly. My usual order consists of the scrambled eggs with little pieces of Jalapeno (not too much), bell peppers, etc. It accompanied by refried beans and Mexican rice. The beans and rice taste the way my mother makes them. I asked about the beans, and sure enough they make them the traditional way. This place used to be the Cafe Del Sol in Los Alamitos. Stopped by the morning of 5/13/21 for take out breakfast burrito. Handed the gal over the register my debit card. I signed for the purchase and must have handed my debit card back to her with my receipt; Or it was not handed back to me at that time. Whatever happened, I didn't get it back. I called the following Monday and said "Hi, my name is Susan Chambers and I may have neglected to get my debit card when I left. The gal, said what ? You were neglected? You mean you forgot it! (My mind is thinking WHAT the hell is up with the rudeness!) so I responded; ok you guys forgot to give it to me! Is it there? She said yes and reminded me to bring a picture ID to pick it up. Pick up went fine. I had realized she may have not known what neglected meant, so I asked her and yes, she said she didn't understand how I was neglected. (Lol). Went back 5/22 for take out dinner. My husband got the cheeseburger and fries $10.95 and I got the fajita combo, no rice. $14.99 per their menu that we picked up from them 9 days prior. The bill came to $40.84. My husband picked up the food and as we were eating it occurred to me that the pricing seemed too high. I looked at the receipt and the fajita charge was $ $26.95. Of course I phoned as there was obviously a mistake. Nope, no mistake! She, the Mgr, said they increased their prices about a month ago! I said, so you're knowingly putting out menus without correct pricing? She said no, see down at the bottom "prices subject to change without notice". How they can rationalize, and in good faith say a $12.00 price increase for their fajitas and 2 tablespoons of beans is in any way fair! It's literally stealing money from their customers! Awfully arrogant of them to assume they will keep customers by doing this! And on both interactions, their staff were rude. And they, on both occasions condescendingly told me "well you make sure and have a good day, ok?!? FU! I will never set foot in their establishment again and I will tell the many friends I have in the Los Al, Cypress area to discontinue their patronage as well! Have a good day, ok?!?! read more

Before dining at this restaurant, I was initially going to the poki restaurant directly across. However, because it was closed we decided to dine at Cobians. Doesn't look like much on the outside however, it is very cozy and has good vibes once you sit down. Classic American diner options with plenty to choose from. Our server Chase, did an excellent job with recommendations and provided us with plenty of sauces, which is always a plus. Prices are great and the food was even better! The food had decent flavor, which is what is saving them from a one star review. We ordered a chicken fajita burrito and got charged the price of the plate, but didn't get the rice and beans they it is supposed to be served with. Additionally, asked them to add guacamole and they served it on the side rather than putting it on. Burrito was on the small side for $12.99 and then another $1 for adding cheese and another $2 for a small tiny serving of guacamole. We also ordered a Steak Fajita Burrito and this one was also charged $12.99, but the plate says it is $14.99 so this time it made sense, but again it was small for $12.99 plus $1 for cheese and $1 for sour cream. I don't mind paying for quality, but honestly this isn't anywhere near worth the price, as the serving sizes were rather small for the price and the issue of not actually putting the guacamole on the burrito. Additionally, when someone orders one Chicken and one Steak burrito, at least one should be labeled so that you know which is which, as you can't tell just by looking at the outside of the burrito. read more

I would say Cobian's Resturant is a hidden gem; I am always in the plaza area at the gym and never notice cobian's I always wonder where the good smelling food was coming from and now I'm convinced it's cobian's. I love that there were breakfast options and lunch options available. I ordered 2 stack of pancakes I added chocolate chip with whipped cream it was so delicious, the prices were so reasonable and the portion size is perfect. My niece doesn't like breakfast food so it was perfect to have the option of the lunch menu she was so happy and she ate all of the chili fries which is a big deal because she's a picky eater she said it was delicious! I got the Western Bacon Burger and it was GOOD! The cook informed me that the way I ordered it, wasn't really his style of cooking booger burgers. The way I ordered it was more like McDonald's.
