A local recommended Coco Deck to us for our last night in Maui and their recommendation did not fail us at all! The drinks were delicious and the food was even better! The ceviche was the most flavorful one we had all week. Don't even get me started on the bowl that I had topped with Ahi Poke!!! It was AMAZING! We ate here for lunch and liked it so much we came back the next day for happy hour. We had the fish tacos and fish and chips for lunch and both were fantastic. I especially liked the fish and chips. We had the queso, queso birria, and sweet potato tacos and the watermelon/strawberry salad at happy hour and loved everything. The $5 margarita was also good. Hands down one of my new favorite spots on Maui! A longtime friend of mine introduced us to this place and WOW. First. The horchata colada was INCREDIBLE. Fresh and just sweet enough. With the touch of horchata and the perfect amount of pina colada, it was truly delicious. 15/10. The food was fresh and delicious and the happy hour from 2-5 was worth every penny, but it didn't cost much! Definitely a great happy hour with delicious options. This place is so lovely. Perfectly situated with a gorgeous harbor views and the most kid friendly atmosphere. Not sure why they decided to make 1/4 of the restaurant look like Romper Room with a ton of toddler toys thrown about. We were sat at a table right by the "game/toy" area and it was a huge turn off. We had a group of 10 people with 4 young kids, just got off a flight and needed a restaurant fast. We walked in on a Friday during prime dinner time with no reservation. They had a table ready for us in 5 minutes, incredible. The kids LOVED the kid zone they have which is filled with lots of fun things to do. Great recommendation from friends! Coco Deck is a laid back bar and restaurant with fantastic food. We were looking for a local place for an early casual dinner and dropped by Coco Deck for Happy Hour. It is in a great location, just across from the ocean. We ended up ordering the Fish Tacos, which were very tasty and the fish was fresh. We also ordered the Poke Doughnut - it was a ring of fried poke, topped with fresh Ahi and drizzled with a spicy mayo and soy glaze - so good! For drinks, we ordered just the Happy Hour drinks which were pretty good, but we should have ordered the Mini Mai Tai shots, which looked amazing. Definitely recommend for a casual local place with great food! We will definitely be back! Mahalo! read more

This restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge where we are staying! I'm so glad it was, otherwise we wouldn't have known about it. We love poké and the poké donut was to die for! We also had the queso tacos and the birria ramen. Both were good and great portion sizes. My only minor suggestion would be a little more cheese in the queso taco. I'm so glad Coco Deck was open for our visit. We visited twice because the food is so good and this place has a fun vibe. It's on the corner of Front Street across from Mala. Both times, we ordered the Queso Birria Tacos. The beef was tender, and the tacos were crisped so nicely on the outside. Served with a side of consomme for dipping. These are simple street tacos. We will be down for these on our next visit. We also ordered the stacked ceviche twice. The fish is perfect, with a citrus bite. The dish had some heat to it, but the creamy avocado, pickled red onions, and side of chips helped to tame the fire. The miss for me was the tostada salad. The corn is from a can. It was served with a dollop of guacamole. What saved this salad is that I added Mahi Mahi. It was fresh, tender, and a large piece of fish. I think if the salad had more acid and crunchy textures, it would help. The smash burger is a double cheeseburger that can be upgraded to a triple or quad. The side of funky fries are various shaped fries. We also had the crispy poke donut. This was such a unique way of serving poke it was like eating a large crunchy sushi roll. The onion and sauce made this perfect. Service was on point during both visits and can't wait for our trip next year. Mahalo. read more

Came here for dinner for our first night this trip. We're big Mala fans, so we were excited to try the sister restaurant! Maitre D was super sweet and sat us for our reservation immediately. Drinks were tasty and smash burger was AMAZING. Don't snooze on the smash burger. I will say, we were pretty disappointed in our service. Like I said, Maitre D was great, but our server was not interested in us at all. As soon as we ordered, we were blatantly ignored. She walked past us a good 3 times before Maitre D checked on us once, and that was about it. We had to flag our server down to order another drink, and then waited a good 20-30 minutes after we finished eating to get the check. Again, she walked past us at least 3 times before we had to ask for the check. We even made eye contact multiple times and she never came over!! When we first arrived, restaurant was hopping. But by the time we finished our food, at least half the restaurant was empty. (We also noticed that she kept checking on surrounding tables and chatting them up like crazy, but I guess something was wrong with us?) Idk, maybe I'm being too harsh, but we felt very outcast. Maybe it was just the one server? Not sure. Food and drinks were a hit, but I'm not sure we will be back for dinner. read more

Coco Deck is one of the best restaurants in Lahaina for a local vibe, delicious food, sunset view, and super friendly staff. Heather and Izzy are 2 of the best bartenders! They make the dining experience fun and entertaining. If you are going as a party of 2, I highly recommend sitting at the bar. Friendly and fast service! Check out their secret menu. Wanted to check this place out and reviews seemed pretty good. First red flag should have been all the empty tables at dinner hour. We were seated and ordered a mai tai and margarita, both drinks were good. Finding the menu very limited we ordered Ceasar salad, fish tacos and big deck bowl. Salad was average, fish tacos were flavorless. The big deck bowl with Ahi seemed like a mixture of whatever they had left in the kitchen, the ahi poke did not taste super fresh. We did order a second round of drinks and the margarita was undrinkable, a completely different drink from the first, no consistency at all. The bill came with an added service charge which I guess we should have seen on the menu fine print! Made for one of our priciest and most disappointing meal of the week. Our server was very kind and the rest of the staff was as well. We had watermelon cocktails with reposado tequila and they were tasty, but could have definitely been stronger. The birria queso tacos were delicious. We are from LA and they tasted like a legit birria truck in LA. The smash burger was really great and the funky fries were unique. Our main issue was with the birria ramen. The birria and consomé in the ramen tasted cheap and very tomatoey, much different than how they tasted in the tacos. I'm not sure if they use a different batch of birria in each dish, but they tasted notably different and we were disappointed that the birria ramen was just not good. We brought a group of 24 players and parents to Lahaina for a state tennis tournament, and the staff here went above and beyond to accommodate us. Rob, the owner/manager, was incredibly patient and flexible as our headcount kept changing until the day before. We pre-ordered our meals to save time, and everything went smoothly--everyone got exactly what they wanted. The food was excellent, featuring generous portions, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. The high schoolers especially enjoyed the Keiki area, where they could shoot hoops and relax on the couch after dinner. The location was perfect--right across the street from the waterfront--so we even got a fantastic team photo at sunset. Highly recommend this spot for large groups. We went with our two kiddos last night and it was absolutely unbelievable - a stellar opening night, with amazing food!!! If you've got little ones, I absolutely recommend sitting in the front section near the couches so you can let them ramble around the keiki zone (large connect four, kid sized couches, a pac man machine, it's awesome) - I wish I'd gotten a picture of it, well I'll just have to get one next time I go back since we definitely will be going back! Now, onto the food - which was the star of the show here. We did the chips and dip as an app which was very tasty (not too spicy, which was sad for me but the kids were happy!), and then the kids did chicken fingers and we got the ramen and the burger. Everything was wonderful, but the beef birria ramen was next level. Get it with the queso tacos - I didn't, but saw other tables doing it and got the advice after from one of the many friendly and lovely people working there and oh my goodness dipping a delicious taco into the ramen consommé - it looked delectable. I struggled a little bit to eat the ramen because I am used to using chopsticks along with the supplied spoon, but that's really more of a personal utensil need than anything the restaurant did or didn't do. Speaking of the staff, everyone we met working at coco deck was without fail kind, excited to be there and for opening night, and genuinely helpful and friendly. The people at coco deck are great!! Anyways, we live over in Kahului so Lahaina is a little bit of a poke for us, but we will be coming here (and bringing others here!) as often as we can! What a great new addition to the area, with super delicious food! I saw a sign in the bathroom about weekend game day specials with food from Māla too which sounds amazing as well (I am a sucker for those ube pancakes at Māla).
