We love this place but they are renovating now. They had a food truck open but apparently only take cash now (which has never been the case. We drove an hour to get there and had to turn right back around. More just a PSA to bring cash and we were really sad to not get any shrimp today. read more

I don't think there's a wrong time to go to Coco Shrimp. I usually get the sampler platter with coco shrimp, spicy, sweet and spicy shrimp then add pineapple and macadamia nuts! The soft drinks are really great also. Parking is easy and the staff is nice. Can't recommend this place enough! read more

The entire dish was delicious light yet filling. I tried the name sake dish Coco Shrimp and it didn't disappoint. The light breading allows you to enjoy the shrimp and blends well with the seasoned rice and salad which gives you two flavors poppyseed and another. I will definitely be returning soon. read more

Been here multiple times before and food has always been on point. Came today and the rice was very undercooked. It was like chewing on tiny pebbles. I did get the employees attention and was given a different serving of rice. Same issue. It was like the rice wasn't cooked with enough liquid. Like I said never had this issue before. I want to love this place. We drove from Dallas in part to come here based on our experience with the food truck. Ordered to go food when we left Dallas, arrived at the restaurant a couple of minutes after the order was supposed to be ready. Zero parking available on the street or in the lot. I finally jumped out of the car to pick up while my partner drives around the block. The line at 140pm is out the door. The dining room is packed with people both seated and waiting for to go food. An employee has been wandering around for over 5 minutes trying to deliver one lunch. We finally got the two meals. They were delicious. But definitely not worth the hassle and wait for just 12 shrimp. read more

This place is super yummy. They have a limited menu and execute it well! Personally I think the Sweet and Spicy Shrimp was the best! The only thing I did not love was the garlic butter on the rice, that is mostly because I just don't really care for garlic. Next time I will ask for no sauce on the rice and will be set. They have a cute interior and plenty of outdoor space. If you are in the area and enjoy shrimp this is worth checking out! read more

Ill start off by saying that this place has a deal every month on the 20th. They do 2 boxes for 20 dollars on the 20th of each month. That being said, I went on the 20th and had no idea what really to expect. I had called in early and tried to place a to go order so I could just do a causal pick up since quarantine was still a thing. They didn't pick up but I went anyway. The place was PACKED and I immediately thought... wowwww this place must be pretty bomb if the wait is looking like this. I decided to just go home and come back on a later date. I came back and order 2 boxes and tried all their flavors. LET ME TELL YOU NOW this is THE best 12-dollar shrimp and rice dish I've ever had. The shrimps were a really good size, they were cooked PERFECTLY and the flavors were amazing. It wasn't only the shrimp that made this dish good. It was how the sauce on the shrimp leaked through and left the rice seasoned and flavorful. With every bite, you would get a huge, but not overwhelming, perfectly flavored bite. The flavors range from sweet, to savory, to a perfectly seasoned heat. I'd recommend the coconut shrimp, sweet and spicy, and spicy flavors. Usually, with added side salads to a dish, I just think... it's just there to "seemingly add value", but MAN WAS I WRONG the sesame dressing they provide mixed in with the greens and cucumber.... WOWWW. It refreshes your pallet with a nice citrus and tangy sensation that not only tastes good on its own, but makes every bite of the future shrimps as satisfying as the first bite. Will definitely be coming back here! You can't beat what youre getting for the price. Value, quantity and quality are all here. read more

Coco shrimp is soooo good! I like that the business owner stuck with one thing and perfected it, which is shrimp. I have Joe tried everything on the menu and it's all good. My beautician who is in Irving told me about them less than a month ago and I've come to pick up food at least 5 times in 1 month. I'm always full after abs if you're face a shrimp box you'll have left overs! I'm glad I'm not that far away. The only down side is the parking sucks. But the food definitely makes up for it. I would advise you to order online an one and pick up if you are doing a to go order each time I've gone it's been at least a 30-45 min wait. But it's definitely worth the wait!
