Really good food. Chicken curry was pretty good, even though it was mild, still had a good kick. Ordered medium spicy for the pad Thai and crab fried rice, which tasted good, as well as the garlic chicken. Would definitely come again. However, at the end of our meal, did find a strand of hair in the food after we've already consumed like 95% of it. read more

Love this place, eat here on a weekly basis. Amazing peanut sauce and they have perfect the art of spice. Food comes out exactly as mild or flaming hot as you requested. Rare with Thai food places. Coconut Thai has exceeded my (and my picky eating wife's) expectations! Originally, I was the only one who was going to eat because my wife isn't fond of Thai based off of previous bad experiences but when the food arrived the smell was so good that my wife took a bite... This place is only okay. It is over priced, the quality and the amount of food do not compensate for the prices they ask for. The vibes are nice, clean and new the staff is friendly. Dishes were hit and miss. I came with a group of friends and some dishes were delicious, others were meh. I got the Garlic Supreme dish and it was extremely salty for my taste. Anther friend got the Sriracha Noodles and he thought it was delicious. Other friends complained the dishes didn't have enough meat for the amount they paid. But for the people who got there after us, not so lucky! The servers worked fast and hard and still had great customer service. We dropped in here for dinner tonight. Unfortunately, it was pretty forgettable and we were not very happy with the food. Service, environment, etc. were all top notch, however. We got the mixed set of spring rolls. They were good, but skimpy - only tiny bits of crab in the "crab and cream cheese" roll, kind of skimpy fresh rolls and minimal fillings in the spring roll. For $12 it didn't feel like much actual food. Unfortunately, that trend continued... I got their Panang curry. It was strangely runny, about the texture of whole milk. It just tasted spicy (even though I ordered mild) and was definitely missing the "richness" associated with most good curries. when put on rice, most of the sauce just went to the bottom. It was a small portion with just a few pieces of chicken. All in all, underwhelming and not very good. We also got a noodle dish with chicken and veggies. It turned out to be.. OK. (Better than the curry!) The noodles were fine, the veggies were cooked well. Again, barely any chicken in it. Peanut sauce was good, however. If only the Panang sauce hadn't run all over the plate and mixed in with it.... All in all, the portions were small, didn't include much meat and it simply wasn't very good. There's a lot of other Thai places in Issaquah that have better food, better portions and are a much better value. read more

The cinnamon pork belly is mind blowing. Other dishes are also very good, but the cinnamon pork belly stands out. I hope they grow because expanding would be good. Right now there aren't many seating options but I guess needing more seating is a great problem for a new restaurant to have. My only other nit picking thing is the music. Once when we were there they had the same background track playing over and over again, and it kind of sounded like Kenny G if he could play piano. Or maybe he can, I don't really know. It's nice this restaurant opened off Front Street with an easy in/out location with ample parking! It was very busy at noon on a weekday, but we were seated quickly. Lunch was delicious! We had the combo plate of pad Thai and chicken satay. Both of our lunches were served hot. Soup starter and generous mound of steamed rice was included. My only complaint was that the pad Thai was sticky/clumpy which made it difficult to eat. But the flavor was spot on. Very nice staff who were attentive. Presentation was nice, and the décor simple and clean--unlike some Thai restaurants full of oppressive dark wood and dozens of knickknacks. Will come back for sure! read more

This was an excellent little restaurant. I thought the flavor a were very good and had a new twist on some classic dishes to make it interesting and fresh. We sampled the lamb shank curry, which was the best! So rich in flavor with a nice complexity to balance everything. We also had the crispy garlic with salmon. Not something you would usually find on a Thai menu, it was very good. The green beans with shrimp had a good portion of shrimp and the green beens were cooked perfectly. Our one disappointment in dishes would be their play on swimming rama dish, it had crispy noodles in it which made it a bit difficult to eat. The flavors of the peanut sauce were tasty! Thai Coconut is our absolute favorite Thai place around. I'm a old vegetarian and they do it right! Pretty inexpensive (no ornate ambiance), comfortable and also great for take-out. My omnivorous husband also loves their meaty dishes. read more

I don't claim to be a professional Thai food critic, but I've literally tried all the Thai joints in the Seattle area. I'm quite picky when it comes to my pad Thai. It has to be nice and spicy, but also have a bit of sweet to contrast. Additionally, the noodles have to be nice and charred and not soggy. This place does that all... Every time I order my pad Thai, it comes perfect, reflecting what I search for in a pad thai. Their service is lovely, and they're nice and fast. Come early, because they get packed at lunch, and it's a small place. In my humble opinion, best Thai food in the greater Seattle area. P. S. Disappointing! Dont even bother stopping if you aren't a regular. They service is markedly different. I ordered my food 5 hot and it was a 1 at best. When they FINALLY came by to ask how things were, they didn't even wait for a response. The food was cold and it wasn't a cold dish. When we walked into the very clean restaurant we were immediately greeted and shown to our seats. Our food was amazing! We got the Flute roll appetizer and for dinner Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Pad See Ew. The food came out quick and throughout our meal the staff checked in on us! Another great Thai restaurant in Issaquah. Smaller place but very friendly service and delicious food. I had the Golden CoCo Shrimp appetizer and the Kee Mao noodle dish. The shrimp was served with a refreshing and spicy/sweet relish that really made it shine. The Kee Mao was perfectly seasoned and at the requested spice level. All the servers were smiling, courteous and friendly. Order was taken and food delivered in a very timely manner. The only con I have is that the portions seemed to be smaller than that of say Noodle Boat or Similan. Not to say I wasn't satisfied at the end, I was. I just didn't have anything left to take home like I normally would when ordering a starter and a main. But overall an excellent Thai restaurant and I will be back. read more

Ordered soup and a couple of other dishes.Yikes,there was hair in the dish we ordered and we had to ask the lady to take the dish off from our table.No apologies, she just cleared the dish.I won't be going back again to this restaurant because of food safety concerns and I personally wont recommend.The lady was unapologetic and brought us the check as if everything was perfect!If I could, have given this restaurant no stars!C'mon, there are plenty of good or better Clean restaurants around! read more

I would say this is good thai food with great service. There are other better tasting thai restaurants out there (I have been to this one three times now) but the service and environment are courteous, friendly and clean. It is a smaller restaurant so on busy evenings don't expect a ton of seating. Nice modern decor and good menu selection. read more

Wonderful dinner!!! Had the Spring Rolls as well as Egg Rolls. Would recommend the Spring Rolls over the Egg Rolls---Egg Rolls were fairly typical. The Tom Yum soup was some of the best I've had. Would highly recommend that. The fried rice with pineapple and curry was great! Non greasy and very tasty. I had a beef noodle soup that was ok. I'd probably skip that next time. Pad Thai was excellent. For dessert the black sticky rice with coconut ice cream was marvelous. Will definitely be going back to try more. read more

Great new place! They have great customer service and even gave us a milk tea on Christmas. It's great when a place like this really appreciates their customers. We had the Tom Kha soup, honey cashew nut chicken and the swimming Rama in peanut sauce and loved all of them. The chicken is a good size dish and all the pieces are small and crispy. The Rama dish was really unique and good. It excellent texture and taste. We got our order to go, but I will probably eat in next time because it had a pretty nice ambiance. read more
