I got carne asada tacos to-go and the homemade tortilla was good, asada had good flavor, their hot sauce was good, their homemade chips was fire too My son ate the stuff out of his tacos and even my picky mom liked it too. I also love the fact that they're not cheap with the cilantro and onions because I love putting a sh!3t ton in my tacos! All of their tortilla are handmade which is pretty neat. Since this was my first time, I decided to order a variety of tacos (carne asada, al pastor, pollo, and fish). While I liked the handmade tortillas and the garnishes that come with your standard taco, I thought the meat could use improvement. The carne asada was not tender and lacked proper seasoning. It was overly chewy and it felt like they gave me beef tendon and not carne asada. Don't let your fish taco sit for too long or else your tortilla will become soggy and mushy. If you're getting tacos to-go, I would suggest eating it as soon as possible. If you're looking for authentic handmade tacos, you've found the right place. I came here with a friend since we were craving Mexican food and wanted to try something different. Coco's is a small restaurant in a plaza that primarily serves Asian food, so it certainly does pop out. The plaza is small and it does get crowded, so parking might be an issue. I had the shrimp and carne asada tacos, and I had two different experiences. The carne asada tacos were good. However, I wasn't so fond of the shrimp tacos. The shrimp was a bit underwhelming. I was expecting the shrimp to be grilled with flavor, but unfortunately the shrimp was bland. I was able to taste the fresh homemade tortillas, which is good. However, I did get my tacos to go and they got mushy and broke really quickly. My friend got their carne asada burrito which I got to try a bit and it was good. Unfortunately, the tortilla broke pretty quickly as well. I would come back for Coco's carne asada tacos. While the homemade tortilla is nice, perhaps having two tortillas instead of one would would keep the tacos in shape. read more

Found this place by accident and so happy I did. The handmade tortillas for tacos were the reason I decided to try it out and I've gone back since. The tacos are delicious, so far we've had asada, al pastor, cabesa and tripas. Not to mention the tacos are filled to the brim, they do not skimp on the meat. When we order anything with tripas it does take a little longer but they do so to make sure they are nice and crispy. The tortas are also my favorite I've had in a long time. The bread is soft and nicely grilled and they include avocado, which is not always the case. Definitely do recommend, can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu. read more

I really do love this food! My go to is the carne asada burrito and tacos. Alway so fresh and piping hot! I've called my order in and taken at least 15 mins to arrive after they said my food would be ready, took it home, and my burrito stays HOT! I love that. The only thing is that I wish their staff were a little more friendly and welcoming. I've come here multiple times and sometimes I walk in and they don't even say hello. Just stare at me and wait for me to order which can feel a bit cold. The food is really good but I think they lack in customer service and could try a little harder. read more

The food is excellent. I enjoyed the carne asada burrito and it was so filling that I couldn't eat the two carnitas tacos I ordered with it (yes, my eyes were bigger than my stomach). But, this place gets dinged two stars for poor service. As soon as I walk in, I notice two sisters working. The older one took my order and didn't say one word to me. She was looking at me as if she was thinking "What does this gringo want?" She was okay after that but still not that friendly. At the end, I wanted to take my tacos to go. I noticed the younger one passing by my table. I asked, "Can I take these to go?" She asked (as if she didn't want to be bothered), "Do you want a box?" Uh, yes! She comes out with a tiny box that wouldn't fit both tacos unless I stacked them. I said "I wanted a box to fit both of you and it would be nice to have foil around each." I was very excited to try their food since it was closer than Dotys Tacos. I order a carne asada burrito for my self and 2 Birria tacos and 1 Al pastor for my wife. The Presentation was nice but that was it. The green salsa lack flavor and the pico de gallo and was bland. Their birria tacos were dry. There was no consome, not even a little. Very disappointed Their Al pastor was better than their birria but nothing special. Their tortillas do taste good. The burrito was also dry, they don't put salsa inside of the burrito and fell apart fairly easy. Won't be coming back, as I rather make the drive to Dory's Tacos. Working in the area and this taco place's sign caught my eye; a cute little simple plant with the restaurant name "Coco's Tacos". Checked Yelp and had to try it for myself. The location is fairly new (about 4 months) and is a family owned new business. Emmanuel took our order and was very friendly. This restaurant is doing mostly take home orders due to COVID but had one table outside set for two people so we asked if we could sit and he told us yes. Our server not only exceeded our expectations but continually came out to check on us. Emmanuel suggested to us the red salsa since we had ordered green, both salsas were very good. Green is mild with loads of flavor and the red is spicy picante yummy! The horchata is on the sweeter side which I really like but just a heads up. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area! My husband got a carne asada burrito with extra meat. He said it was very good and had some left over for another meal! (Great portion sizes!) I had a carne asada quesadilla which came with sour cream and lettuce on the side. The white cheese used was delicious! Not the Monterey or mozzarella but more on the Latino side like asadero almost. Walked by and I saw a handmade tortillas sign and I was like I must try this place. I already had bought dinner but I was like I should try it it doesn't hurt to get two tacos. Must say I am glad I made the stop. Shrimp taco the taste was great and I love their green sauce ! Just right together! Sadly the al pastor was not that great. The tacos are sadly super wet and the tortillas end up breaking even though I ate it right outside in our car in the parking lot. I ordered the potato taquitos and some rice. Noticed some beeping while I was waiting and then I realized it was a microwave. Once my food was brought out it was super hot, but that's because it was microwaved which led me to wonder if it was actually cooked "authentic" as they claim or if it was premade? The taquitos were okay, I dipped them in the salsa which was yummy and it made them better, but other wise they weren't super flavorful. The chips and salsa came with my meal for free, but they were super oily. The place is family owned and they were very attentive (however I was the only person dining that day). Unfortunately, i think they just missed on the food. I will say I ordered later at night, so maybe it's because things weren't as fresh. They do have a tv in the establishment that you can watch. Al pastor taco $2.25 The meat texture is similar and has a lot of cumin flavor. fish tacos $2.50 The fish is moist because it's not overcooking. But I think we should eat it right away. Tortilla can get wet in a little while. Shrimp is the same. If you don't eat them both right away, I don't recommend them. Mulitas $4.00 It's okay, but it's not worth recommending. I'm sure there are pros and cons in general. Overall ,It was a new experience and a new taste. Feels like you're eating high quality food in the taco world. Ordered one of almost every type of taco: carne asada, al pastor, lengua, chorizo, cabeza & pescado. The meats came with cilantro & onion; the pescado came with pico de gallo. All were so well seasoned (my favorites were the carne asada and al pastor; my husband liked la cabeza the most). The pescado was small pieces of a seasoned white fish that was tender and flavorful. The handmade tortillas were most excellent! My mom ordered a carnitas burrito, which I sampled as well haha. The carnitas were crispy and delicious. They gave us a side of crunchy tortilla chips, cucumbers, radishes, green and red salsas. My only complaint was that we got slices of lemon instead of lime for our tacos haha. Maybe they ran out? The only honest reviews are the one stars. My carnitas taco we're the worst I've ever had. Ordered 3 and had to throw the remaining 2 out. My wife ordered the carne asada and had the same results. No flavor what do ever other than bad.
