What sold me for the coffee here was no artificial sweeteners and syrups! Tried the raw cinnamon honey latte and was able to indulge guilt free. Staff was friendly and they have a cool green vibe inside. Definitely a great spot for a mid day coffee day in Fidi.

Bright, comfortable cafe with yummy empanadas that are heated up fresh. The employees there were friendly and remembered my name :) I took off a star because friends I was with had their orders mixed up, the wait time was very long, and the tablet where you're supposed to order wasn't working properly. I think it would be helpful if there were a better labeling system when it comes to the empanadas.

La Canela is a must! Not too sweet not too bold. Perfectly balanced. Great vibes, great food, and great management!

I didn't like their pourover but their organic mango latte was good. They use organic mango powder and either almond or oat milk. The latte itself tastes like dried mango blended with coffee, though the espresso flavor isn't very strong. Service left a bit of a sour note. When I asked if they had regular milk and if a drink could be made iced, the barista gave me a curt "no."

Coffee Bodega has the right idea. Their mission Statement is simply brilliant: "When organized farmers control the whole process, from growing to roasting to packaging, coffee quality is better." So it's not only delicious coffee, it is socially responsible coffee in the heart of the Financial District. If you have time to sit, do come inside. Surrounded by plants, you sip your excellent coffee in the tropics.

It feels you're in a jungle. It has couple plants that brings out the ambiance. I ordered the organic salted maple latte with oat milk and a danish. The service is good. There was only one person collecting money and making drinks. He had it under control. Come on by and enjoy. Cheers!!!

My favorite coffee spot in all of San Francisco. The coffee is delicious, with drinks like El Saladito (organic maple syrup with a touch of pink salt), La Canela (organic raw honey and cinnamon) and Manguito (a mango latte). I have tried them all and they're all fantastic. I don't know how they source their coffee, but it is delicious and unique and is the best I've tasted in the city. In addition to having the best coffee in SF, they have a great location (right above Embarcadero BART) and very friendly and kind baristas. I go out of my way to come here before work because their coffee and service put Peet's and Starbucks to shame. They also have a really nice atmosphere and friendly patrons if you want to sit here and get some work done. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

I found this place walking around and it's an excellent coffee shop. They have sustainability made coffee and the service was excellent. Nice place to sit inside and have a coffee on a cold day.

This is close to the Embarcadero MUNI station, so I stopped by for a latte when I saw their rows of empanadas that are baked-to-order. I had to get one. It came out toasty and delicious and paired with my honey cinnamon latte, it was the perfect breakfast. It might not be great to come if you're in a huge rush as there was one person working everything when I was there. I saw people working from here as well as they have a few tables for eating / working. So happy to have stumbled upon this cafe!

This place was amazing!! Best coffee I had the entire week I visited San Francisco. The owner was polite and very accommodating. The business was clean and very well maintained. I am from the Deep South where manners and hospitality mean a lot and both were found here from the owner. I hope his business continues to flourish. read more

Stopped in today and the place was packed. The 2 guys were working their asses off and drinks were being served at a rapid pace. I got my drink from the gentleman and I noticed some jackass crying that he's been in like for 15 minutes which was a lie because he came in right after me so he might have been waiting about 3 minutes. Dude, good coffee takes time to make and the man doing the drips had all the drippers going and the other man on espresso most likely had a bunch of orders so you were gonna have to wait anyways. Calm down or go to starbucks and get crap coffee. The baristas handled it very professionally though. The 2 men working (10-5-23) were great and very hospitable despite having to serve a hundred people and deal with one jerk. They have clearly been in coffee for a long time because they were covering espresso, drip, a register, some kind of hot food they make and they never missed a single beat. I must also compliment the drink I had. Delicious! Bravo to these wonderful men, amazing service and the best coffee I have ever had. read more

In these days, as another shutdown halts all patio seating and stores must keep customers to a minimum, what do we have to look forward? Carlos of Coffee Bodega has an answer - delicious coffee from Costa Rica served from the Jackson Bar window in Cow Hollow. Carlos is an intrepid entrepreneur to open up under such challenging circumstances and he definitely has my support. There is an ethical component to the beans - these farmers also roast what they pick which gives them more income versus selling green beans (true of less than 1% of small scale coffee producers) which is good to support. This is well worth a stop on your next neighborhood stroll. read more

Was excited to try a new coffee place in SF! I walked over and looked at their menu and was quickly ready to order. There was a young guy with curly hair, who stared at me and didn't say nothing until I said hi. He was very rude and asked me what I wanted. I said I would like two lattes one being decaf and he quickly answered, With whole MILK? We have no decaf HERE!" I said, okay I would like two regular lates please. He looked away and started to prep our drinks. He really never acknowledged us and left a bad taste in our mouth. Once he finished our drinks he pointed to our drinks and that was it; no thank you or anything. I noticed he had both of his headphones on so maybe he just didn't want to deal with people today. It was shocking to see all these good reviews about the coffee and service but came here and got the opposite. The latte were wayyy to milky and could barely taste the coffee. I hope the owner sees this and talks to his or her employees about this incident. read more

All the pastries were crisp, with many buttery layers and were clearly well made but these two had the most flavor and stood out as offerings that are a bit more unique compared to other bakeries in the city. We also tried the black sesame kouign amann, which was more reminiscent of a morning bun type pastry, and the cubano and the ham and cheese croissants, which were good but just lacking a little in flavor. Overall, Juniper has excellent pastries, and I'll definitely be sure to grab a plain croissant next time to try it out as well - some pastries pack a bit more flavor than others but given how quickly the like moves I'll definitely be back again to try some of their othering offerings soon!

8/3/2025 @ 12:45 I witnessed the worker commit the most atrocious and illegal discrimination of an ADA. His behavior was that of an Ableist. When a young woman walked in with her service animal the worker behind the corner rudely yelled out "No dogs allowed" the young girl responded" its a service animal." The employee proceeds to mockingly respond with a very illegal and discriminatory statement "hahaha thats not a service dog!!! Hahaa what service could he provide hahah?". BY LAW THERE IS ONLY 1 RESPONSE TO A SERVICE ANIMAL. "What service does the animal provide". From there you may not ask anymore questions you may not inquire you may not ask for identification. She calmly proceeded to explain the service. "Its a nerve sensory/grounding dog" (100% an ada service.) The worker proceeded to laugh again and double down on his ignorance and here comes the ableism "Thats not a disability!!! Your making all of that up!" Excuse you sir! Mental disabilities are disabilities. This is disgusting behavior for an employee to display. I suggest all avoid this place. read more

Ordered 2 empanadas and a water for about $15. Place has a decent amount of seats with few if any plugs. Grabbed a seat. Took awhile for my food to be ready. First impression is the empanadas were bland. Needed a good sauce. Crust was alright. Mid bite I saw something looking at me from across the room. I think it was a roach. I got up and the told the man working. He said maybe it was a beetle, I noted that the creature had antennas. He came over to investigate and then quickly shrugged and went back to the register. Did not offer a refund or any kind of apology for there being bugs inside their business that sells food. Bugs happen, but if they are crawling around you need pest control. Either way an apology would have been nice considering how much money I spent and that I tipped. Never again. read more

The ladyy makes hot coffee bery nice an theres a lizaed on the cups which is so "san frandsicko" but i drink it inyway when my neice says its "thr best" but i just dont underrstaxd why coffees are 8$ dollars (us) thees days how is anone suposed too have a grankid if a little coffees is 8$?
