Absolutley love this place! A buddy of mine told me about this, and I can't believe I waited so long to check them out. I am a huge fan of the David Rio Chai, but not many places offer it, so I am so glad that is what is used here. It's one of the only places in Reno that really lets me feel good in the anime community. It is slightly pricey for the drinks, but it offers so many cool things, it is so worth it. I adore this place! Not only do they serve a great cup of coffee and tea (my favorite is the flavored iced teas!), but the theming and décor is fantastic! When you walk in you're immediately hit with a bunch of comic books and pop culture references that make my nerdy heart super happy. They also hold events here like open mic nights and board game nights. On top of all of this everyone here is so incredibly nice and welcoming! Huge shout out to Alex and his staff for doing such an amazing job. During the quarantine they are offering curbside orders and they kickstarted the idea of local dollars. The intent behind local dollars is they will give you a dollar in cash that they hope you will spend at another local spot in time. Decided to come over after swim lessons down the street and so glad we did. What a fun atmosphere! Comics to read and all sorts of games to play. A very large area with a stage for events and an arcade game of mortal combat (childhood hello!). They also have a monthly calendar at for events happening. Now that I know they have them I will have to try! The Bob Ross night looked fun and when I asked about it apparently they turn an episode on and eveyone paints with him. The coffee was yummy I tried a s'mores latte and my husband had a sugar free vanilla latte and both were very good. They have a unique menu with a large variety. I also like that they have teamed up with the local Rounds bakery for doughnuts! The gentleman working the counter was very polite and helpful with the menu. He got the orders out as quick as he could with working alone. I would definitely come here again to support this business and hope to join in on an event or too soon. Decided to try a local coffee shop. This venue is more than just coffee. It's a place to relax, unwind, and have an awesome cup of pumpkin spice latte. I think it's only a seasonal drink. So far I love this place. Perfectly located in the Lakeside Crossing shopping center (Moana/Lakeside). If you are not into coffee, try their Chai lattes (variety listed on their website). And if you are not into chai or coffee, go for their kombucha, beer, or wine (must be 21 to consume). CNC also has a variety of sweet treats from scones, cookies, and hummus/veggies among their specialties. Don't forget to tag your kiddos along. They will enjoy a hot cup of cocoa. The atmosphere of this place is really awesome. Both the drink and food I got tasted amazing. They have other things there besides food and drinks you can get, definitely have to pick out more stuff on my next visit! If you have a group of friends there's tables, or if you're by yourself they have a nice bar you can sit at. Employees were super nice, even complemented my shirt! Love this place, one of my favourite spots! The inside is super cool, they have lots of comics (obviously) on sale, and other fan memorabilia and collectibles available to purchase. The whole café is superhero/comic themed, even the bathrooms! The staff are super nice, and the coffee is AMAZING! I love iced chai tea lattes, and they make the best ones here, super creamy and delicious EVERY TIME! The only reason I dock a star is because the food served there is pretty mediocre, but then again I only tried the breakfast burrito so perhaps if I broaden my horizons next time I'll be pleasantly surprised. read more

Hello hello hello! Finally! That's all I got to say about this! A place to appreciate comics, enjoy good coffee, and receive excellent hospitable customer service. Here we go! Today 10/19 is their grand opening! It was a packed event, I would hangout here all day if I could, but I decided I should come back later! Let's start about the concept! Plenty and open space to hang out, enjoy the world of comics, enjoy some coffee with fast internet. A lot of thought and effort went into decorating the space, I personally loved the small details. Let's get to the second part. Coffee! They have a number of cold and hot drinks. Very knowledgeable about the ingredients that go into their drinks, so if you have any dietary preferences/restrictions they can accommodate. Also yes, they have oat milk. I got the lavender latte, it was excellent! One thing to note, it was heated properly and wasn't excessively hot! Even though it was extremely busy, all 5 of our drinks came out almost immediately! Talk about hustle! Hours! I love the fact that they open bright and early at 5:30am! This is very important for me, because I get into work at 6. Would I go here again? Yes! I want to hang out there, do some work there, or even a coffee date! Go check it out! read more

What a fabulous establishment!! Went their on Saturday with my kids for donuts and juice. When I checked in through my yelp app andgot a free chai tea latte, and order a donut. When I went to paid I noticed my bank card gone. The man behind said its on me, I hope u find your card. I said Thank you Thank you. I will come back and pay for the donut as soon as I track down the card, I had no cash on me. After a hectic morning of searching and finally canceling and ordering a new card at the bank. I returned to the shop to pay them $2 for my donut and tip them $2 for their wonderful Christmas spirit. When moms are having horrible mornings and someone shows kindness I want to tell everyone about it. So please go down to Coffee N' Comics. The staff is friendly and nice and very knowledgeable in all things coffee and comics. Great new shop for the Reno Area! I will definitely be back for another Chai Tea Latte and more donuts for my kids!! Thanks again sooo much for your generosity and help when I was clearly stressing out. Here for the grand opening and honestly I'm beyond excited for this place! It's not far from home and I love the concept. Owners and staff are very friendly, helpful and proud of this business. I arrived with friendly greetings and smiling faces. Staff was dressed in nerdy-fun gear, one wearing Slytherin House scarf and sweater and another as Wonder Woman. The owners were wearing their own "Coffee N' Comics" t-shirts. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte which was delicious and well prepared. The TV was playing Empire Strikes Back which brought the perfect feel! Comics available to purchase include the usual suspects: Marvel, DC, Image, etc. There are many comics on counters and tables that are free to read, and there are also 4 shelves of comics available for purchase. I bought a House of X #6 (Marvel) and Gideon Falls (Image). There are also board games, collectibles and merchandise. Plenty of comfortable seating and WiFi. Also a Mortal Kombat arcade game. The ambiance is great for basking in some nerdy vibes while enjoying coffee and reading. I'll be looking forward to returning often! read more

Amazing little spot in Reno! I brought my daughter and sister, 8 and 12, but any age will have fun here! They had a blast playing Battleship and Chutes and Ladders! The drinks were so delicious, and you could tell the whipped cream was fresh. We'll be back for more weekend fun. read more

My husband and I stopped by here this morning for the first time. Interesting and fun concept! We loved the colorful comic-themed decorations and all the actual comic books found throughout the place. I had my first Eggnog Latte of the season and it was very rich, as expected, and tasty. My husband had the Sausage, Egg, and Pepper Jack Bagel while I had a Cheddar Jalapeño Bagel with Artichoke Jalapeño Schmear and we both enjoyed what we had. It was noted that they get their bagels and bakery items from Rounds Bakery. It's nice when local businesses support each other! They also have a stage area and, apparently, comedic performances on occasion. One thing I did not enjoy was the very bright "daylight" lighting which made me feel like I was in a classroom. For me, they could use a little warmth in lighting and maybe mop the floor more often as it seemed a bit dingy (but those bright lights show everything). There was only one other customer in the whole place while we were there, and it's a very large space, so I hope people come out and support Coffee n' Comics if they want it to be around for awhile! read more

Place is great, love the atmosphere, and the coffee is pretty good. But the staff need to get a hold on the customers that come through here. Been here enough times to notice that a few regulars come in and be obnoxious and gross when they stay. One example was the barista warmly rubbing shoulders with a guy who wouldn't shut up about making a horse cum and kept laughing over the AIDS crisis in front of a five year old and her dad. I and a lot of other LGBT people come here because it's outwardly friendly with the pride flags and atmosphere, but I'm kind of getting sick of wet towels and borderline homophobic regulars ruining the vibe so to speak. read more

They have nice corner of comics and tons of weeb n and nerdy fan stuff u can buy they even had some doctors who things!! I love going on my weekend coffee dates, I am so glad I stumbled upon this place! Upon walking in, the shop was much bigger than it looks on the outside. The interior design is very unique. I loved the little details all around the store. Our barista was very friendly and super helpful, the menu is huge and there is so much to choose from. I went with a skinny white mocha and a jalapeño bagel- the bagels are from Rounds. If you're a Reno native you know that rounds makes some of the best bagels. After enjoying our coffee and breakfast we played some mortal combat and read some comics. I live all the way in Sparks and my food is always EARLY and HOT which is especially impressive because I usually order mid morning/mid day on the weekends. I've never been so impressed by delivery / to go food. I always get the breakfast burrito and a Scooby snack frap. It's seriously become my favorite weekend treat. The room filled with comics, TVs, and some blast from the past games/"toys"/books/action figures! The curly haired girl who helped me was very sweet and informative when I asked about their different drink options. I love the fact that their chais are named after endangered species, and each purchase actually helps towards that endangered animal!
