Came here with some friends for a quick lunch. Despite the older reviews I read, we found the service to be prompt and attentive. I was hoping they would have the broccoli soup I saw in the photos. No luck! They didn't have that soup the day we went. Oh well! I got the lobster melt. My friends got a tuna melt and a patty melt. Food came pretty quickly. Quaint little breakfast spot. Feels very homey, like you're at your grandma's place. My wife and I shared the tortilla soup, waffle, and a California eggs benedict, and all were solid! The tortilla soup was some of the best I've ever had, and the waffle was super crispy (just how I wanted it). And it's not like this is THAT FAR off the strip. I walked all the way here from the Venetian. It was quite a walk, but not crazy or anything. But I'd definitely take an Uber next time. We went here because it was close to the Las Vegas Festival grounds and we wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before the festival. Quick was far from it. As soon as we walked in, they told us to have a seat at any clean table and to grab some menus behind us. About 10 minutes goes by and someone finally stops by to grab our drink order, and another 15 minutes goes by before we put in our food order. Then another 40 minutes goes by before we get our food, while we noticed a few other people who ordered after us got their food first. When our server saw us looking around for our food, she said "you're food should be out soon... I hope" not reassuring at all. The service was extremely sub par. But hey, it has good reviews so it should be good right? Eh. It was alright. Not 4.5 in my honest opinion. The 10 oz rib eye was the thinnest slice of steak I've ever seen, could've been used for carne asada at how tough it came out. Definitely not med rare. The smoked salmon omelette had a blurb that it tasted good with a bagel and cream cheese for an extra 1.75. $1.75 for some cream cheese?! Got me messed up. So I ended up just ordering the omelette and it was alright but I could've made that at home. I couldn't say anything for the the feta omelette nor the huevos rancheros because our friends ordered them, but it looked like nothing special. For a place that has coffee in their name of the restaurant, I think they should offer more coffee options. The good? The hash browns were def crispy! Service was slow and food was mediocre. We got the La Jolla, as well as the two-egg breakfast with pancakes. In total, we paid about $26, and honestly, the money was well-spent. Glad we got to stop by this place off the strip! The white mocha was amazing, probably one of the better ones I've had. It's a large cup so worth the $5+ and had the right amount of sweetness. The stuffed French toast had banana and strawberries, strawberries weren't very sweet so had to use syrup but the portions sizes were good. Lastly was the omelet and Belgium waffle. Surprisingly good for a hole in the wall breakfast/diner. The inside is charming and the people are friendly. The menu is well varied and you get a little overwhelmed by how many items there are. Because the portions are so big hubby and I decided to share a stuffed French toast and a 2 egg plate, even though I really wanted an omelette. The potatoes were perfectly crispy and I don't have any complaints about anything else.... it's pretty hard to mess up and two egg plate. Sausage Patty was a nice change over sausage links! Stuffed French toast - there's a lot of cream cheese in this... like a lot! I liked that it wasn't sweetened though so you can adjust your palette by adding more or less syrup. Another winner at this adorable place. It is like even new customers feel like they are regulars, that's how much this place gives a home feel. Lauren is always welcoming you with open arms, she's an amazing server. This time I had the redondo sandwich with a side of fruit.
