The Coffee Bar has been my favorite spot for years. It has such a warm, cozy environment that makes you want to stay awhile and really enjoy your time there. The coffees and teas are truly top-shelf, and the food never disappoints. It's consistently great quality and always comforting. I'll always keep coming back. This place feels like a little home away from home.
The coffee is genuinely delicious. I ordered a banana bread latte and it actually tastes like banana bread, which I loved. That said... why is a banana bread latte with oat milk $10? Definitely on the pricey side. The shop itself is very cozy with lots of natural light from the windows, comfortable seating, and music that's at adequate volume. There's plenty of seating, which is a big plus. Staff are nice and friendly, though I do wish the barista would call out the drink after the name since Michael is a common name. It was a little awkward not knowing if the drink on the counter was mine. Parking lot fills up quickly, but side street parking is available. Also, iced drinks only come in one size. I feel like for the amount I spent, it should be way bigger. Overall, great vibes and great-tasting coffee. I'd probably come back, just maybe not a lot because of the price point.
I love how creative their specials are!! I've been coming here for years so I appreciate when they have something new to try!!! I will say it's a bit crazy that my latte comes out to over 10 dollars before tip :(
Coffeebar is one of those places where intentionality is felt in every detail -- from the warm, modern decor to the well-thought-out seating that works whether you're meeting a friend or settling in with a laptop. Their coffee and tea menu is full of unique flavor offerings, and I love that they take creative risks that really pay off -- think Mexican mocha with just the right amount of spice, or a delicate Lychee Rose that's floral, refreshing, and totally different from your usual go-to. It's clear they care deeply about what they serve and how people experience the space. Every visit feels curated but comfortable -- one of my favorite spots in Reno, hands down.
The way the staff described the ube latte & cucumber mint matcha latte was so on point! Ube Latte - Earthy. It was subtly sweet and had a nice hint of ube. A bit grainy towards the bottom. Cucumber Mint Matcha Latte - It taste like a garden. When you first drink it, you'll get hit with a strong refreshing cucumber mint then a slight matcha taste at the end. I never heard of a drink like this before, so it was very intriguing. But if you're looking for a strong matcha drink, this isn't it. Coffeebar has tons of indoor and outdoor seating!
Coffeebar in Reno never misses. Their specialty drinks are always fantastic, and every time I stop in I'm reminded exactly why it's a local favorite. Get the Rosemary Match while you have the chance. Great vibe, great coffee - always worth the visit.
How do I forget about this coffeebar location every time I'm trying to come up with a place to grab a latte and relax? Such a gem tucked off the main road, lots of seating and tables available to relax, or work, whatever the vibe is for the day. I had their seasonal latte which was orange based, so delicious. The egg sandwich was also a perfect way to start the day!
Hands down, Coffeebar is my favorite coffee spot in Reno. I love the atmosphere, coffee, and food. The egg sandwich is delicious and I'd highly recommend it. Friendly staff and great service. I like that there's a communal table.
This is such a favorite spot of mine. I came here late Saturday afternoon to read and have a beverage. I opted for the banana bread latte, iced. Perfectly sweet and made with care. I sat inside for a bit but the weather was too nice to pass up. They have a wonderful patio with lots of seating. I stayed here for an hour or so enjoying the last bit of autumn sunshine before it got too chilly. Staff are always so kind and go above and beyond with their food and drinks
Awesome food; the ube latte and the chorizo burrito were off the chain. I had a shot of expresso added to my ube latte to take it to the next level, and it didn't disappoint. The cashier and barista both had positive energy. The chorizo burrito was very flavorful and delicious; possibly one of the best breakfast burritos that I've ever had. Whenever I'm in Reno, this will definitely be my go-to spot for ube lattes and breakfast burritos.
The turmeric latte was delicious. Haven't had anything like it. The place is very cool and definitely a good spot for the younger generation... I feel old saying that.
Cool spot! We were driving through and wanted real espresso. The coffee was really good and smooth. Get an extra shot, you won't regret it. We also tried their breakfast items - a breakfast burrito and panini, all so good and super fresh. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy breakfast. I've been here a couple times now. Nothing impressive that's for sure. The lattes taste Watered down. Not sure if it's the coffee they use or what. Tastes like hot vanilla water. I visit Reno every few months for business over the past 5 years and I've yet to find a good coffee shop in this town. read more

Great place. Ordered an oat milk cappuccino, which exceeded my expectations. The espresso was full of flavor and just the right amount of milk. The service was great and fast given how many people were there. Also ordered the avocado toast, which is the reason I couldn't give it a 5. The bread was delicious, a thick honey oat type of bread and toasted perfect. The avocado had a bit too much olive oil. Could of used a tad bit of salt. read more

A little shocked I've never done a review for my favorite coffee/breakfast/baked good stop. Just had the quinoa bowl but the veggie burrito is my favorite. I have been coming to Coffeebar for years and I have only ever had two drinks from here. Mexican mocha and the holy grail of all drinks the lavender latte! You can not go wrong with lavender latte ever. It's so light, but so warm and comforting. And during the summers you can get it iced and it's still perfect! Yum! The only thing that might detour people is that this drink doesn't contain caffeine. So if you need a pick me up, this might not be the drink for you. I have tried some of their sandwiches and pastries, which are all delicious. But I think it can be a little over priced. The blueberry ricotta muffin was delicious though. It had clusters of oats in it, which gave it a little extra crunch. This place is a prime spot for a causal hangout or to do some studying. It does get crowded so you might not get a seat or be crammed in a corner. read more

Coffeebar Reno is definitely my favorite coffee shop. I am a little biased because it was the first coffee shop I ever went to and it's within walking distance of my apartment. BUT they have an amazing gluten free bakery and their breakfast & lunch menus can almost all be made gluten-free. Not to mention their AMAZING coffee! If you follow their Instagram you'll see how much the baristas live for & love their coffee. It's all ethically sourced and they put a lot of care into all of their beans. My go-to drink is the Almond Milk Cappuccino, the foam is incredible I'll be a Coffeebar lover forever, plus their lion logo is pretty epic read more

Cute coffee shop in Reno. Perfect place to study or catch up with a friend. They have lots of artwork hanging on the walls for sale and plenty of seats indoor and outdoor. Order: Mocha, Latte, Chirozo Breakfast Burrito , Double Chocolate Chip Cookie, and a Snickerdoodle Cookie * Taste: Mocha - little watered down, but the artwork was pretty. Latte - was ok. Chirozo Breafast Burrito - tasted great, loved how they used a panini press to make it a bite-able size. Order also came with a side of their house made Siracha and sour cream which you can add if you'd like a little kick to your food (which I recommend). Double Chocolate Chip cookie - pretty good, not to sweet and they add white chocolate bits and macamedia nuts. Snickerdoodle - AMAZING! Gooey center with little crunch on the rim. Not super sweet either. Both cookies were a good size. * Service: they have a small lot and street parking. The workers are friendly and the service is quick, but it does get busy later in the morning (went early Sunday morning). They'll callout your name for drink pick ups and give you a number for food orders. Will definitely try to visit their other locations. read more

This place gets 5 stars for the staff, the environment and the food. I'd like to say that I love the coffee, but I'm comparing it to Blue Bottle (SF), Verve (SCruz) and Peets (Berkeley). The location we went to was on Mount Rose Street. Cool neighborhood vibe. It's the type of place where you'd want to order your cup in a nice mug and just chill with other cool peeps. read more

This place is so cute! I was always meaning to try this place out , but never really had the time to or thought of coming. But i'm glad I did. It's very college people orientated, and almost like the stereotypical movie date vibe . Prices are not bad at all and they have quite the selection for both drinks and food. But I will say the Matcha Tea I ordered was not the best Matcha, to be honest it was watered down and didnt have much taste to it or even a good amount of sweetness. But I mean... it was still refreshing. Other than that, i would recommend this place for anybody who needs a good study session or needs a place to get together! read more

This is my favorite place for an iced mocha (only drink I've had here) and an almond croissant (made in-house). Coffeebar has a pretty extensive food menu, as well as, drink menu. Most of the pastries here are made in-house except for the gluten-free stuff. It also serves alcohol which is nice. The atmosphere is lively and relaxed at the same time. There's also a nice patio area outside for those nice days. The only downside is that sometimes there's no where to sit. Timing is essential if you want to hang out here. If you haven't been here yet you're missing out! read more

Decided to try a different coffee shop while in Reno this past weekend. We chose Coffeebar for the Lavender Latte & Lavender Lemonade. The place is cute and has indoor & outdoor seating. The Iced Lavender Latte was mild in flavor and I found the coffee wasn't strong enough for my liking (even with the add shot). The Lavender Lemonade was stronger in Lavender taste and rather delightful. The Red Velvet Donut & Lemon Bar were both served iced cold. We let them sit for about 30 minutes and then ate them. The donut tasted more like cake rather than a donut but the bar was tasty. read more

Coffee was ok, not very strong compared to what I'm used to. Espresso was weak and I tried the lavender latte for the first time. Wasn't a fan of the taste but just my personal preference. Came with a group of 6 and ordered some panini and other stuff. Food took a very long time to arrive, over 30 min. We had to take the salad bowl in a box and leave for other plans that morning as it was taking forever. Cashier was friendly, and cute atmosphere but I prefer much stronger coffee read more

I love this place. It's a great neighborhood gathering place for a yummy pastry and lavender latte. But this coffee bar is more than just coffee and treats. Drop in for lunch and enjoy a paleo bowl or avocado toast or a series of other yummy home made meals. And don't forget a key word in their name ...bar. So it's a great place to meet up with friends after a long day. There is plenty of seating for Two and larger tables when you're meeting a group of friends. There is one bathroom so we all know how that can look lol. There is both street and lot parking The staff is friendly and ready to whip up some new twist on a traditional latte. I'm not usually one to update my reviews very often because I try my best to get it "write" the first time. And to be fair, I think my first review mostly still applies and is very informative about how the business works. So I won't go into the same fine detail that I did in my previous review. If you want to more detail, check that one out. But some things have obviously changed over the years. On the food side of the business....Coffeebar has really brought their A-game to the Reno market. The bowls cannot be beat for flavor, quality, and appearance. This business just keeps getting better and better as the years go by. Too many businesses stop improving when they think they "have it" which eventually leads to a stale business with stale ideas. Coffeebar seems to be a shark in a world of turtles. Always on the move, always looking for ways to improve and bring a better experience to their customers. Their baked goods are some of the best offered in Reno with only two other places on the same level. Related to the food side is the coffee side, since my first review the coffee at Coffeebar has improved exponentially. From just doing a "dark roast" one size fits all approach they have elevated their coffee offerings to single origins and excellent craft coffee. Having the Roastery open now makes the coffee that much more fresh and quality. On the service side, not much has changed and they still get things out in the best way possible. But the biggest change is how the customers are interacting with the business. Today my wife and daughter walked in and they had at least 5 two tops available. Yet all of the four tops were taken, and mostly taken by the self-absorbed solo with a laptop, and a backpack, and 4 books or a jacket or a journal. I'm standing here with my wife and daughter, our drinks and $50 food tab in hand, looking for a place to sit, eat and enjoy a quick meal and four people are taking up 16 customer spots. Some not even having a cup of coffee or an empty plate sitting in front of them. This is my number one issue with the Coffeebar Mt. Rose location. People are treating this like it's their own home office, lazing about for an hour or two, taking up space for other people, talking on the internet over skype or facetime with headphones on. This needs to stop. And I don't hold this against the business at all, this is totally a complaint about the customers of Coffeebar and a heads up for those customers who are coming in for the first time. I know that Coffeebar is trying to deal with the situation, but it's a very fine line between offending customers and enabling customers to hurt your business. I don't envy this difficult spot to be in. The price points have risen in the years following my last review, but they are still competitive and give you a good value for your money. read more

This place was a great coffee spot! I eat fully gluten free, and this place has lots of options for all of your gluten free needs. The banana chocolate chip gluten free muffin was SO good, definitely get one if your gluten free or not. They also had a blueberry muffin which was tempting. I ordered avocado toast on GF bread with a poached egg and it was delicious. My boyfriend (who is not gluten free) had the chorizo burrito and he loved ever bit of it. The cold brew was yummy and came in their adorable branded cups. The service was quick, efficient and the staff were really friendly! I would also mention the bathrooms were clean as well. They have a side patio with seats and tables to sip on your coffee outside. I would absolutely recommend this place if you need a coffee or a quick bite while in Reno. read more

Great coffee - but docked 3 stars because WIFI is crazy slow. Can barely load gmail for simple email work. If you need a coffeeshop that provides usable wifi - go someplace else. And I'm an IT person. . . it wasn't that busy, only about 12 laptops open. Heck, my office wifi is about 160mbs, my phone gets nearly 30. . . for the amount they charge, you'd figure they could speed that up. Come on Coffeebar Step into the 21st century! read more

Don't go here if you're hungry. Paid $10 for a paleo bowl only filled halfway up the tiny to-go box. I am plant-based, and I eat a lot of vegetables, this would not feed my 10 year old son. I am 100 lbs and I could literally probably eat three of these on the size they serve, I cannot imagine paying 30 bucks for this meal to fill me up. Sucks, because the food is tasty, and I used to love their sweet potato hash, which I think they also changed, but won't be back due to the crazy pricing and the small amount of food. read more
What a lovely coffee shop! I loved the outdoor area that they have, it was full of people enjoying their morning cup of coffee when I arrived. I ordered their avocado toast with a poached egg and a loose leaf sencha green tea. I found a corner table inside and took it before it was claimed. The inside is big and it was full of people working, eating, drinking, and conversing. I loved the ambiance! The avocado toast was smaller than I anticipated, and with less greens than what I had seen in pictures, still, not a bad avocado toast despite the petite demeanor. The Sencha tea I ordered was piping hot! Super good too, exactly what I needed. I stayed and journaled for a good 2 hours and enjoyed being inside the coffee bar, maybe next time I'll get there when there's an open table in their outdoor area. read more

One of my favorite little coffee hubs in Reno! Not only can I grab a cup of joe but also a glass of rosé and a snack! I enjoy coming here for my ME time, I can grab a quiet corner table or sit outside (weather permitting) and enjoy the scenery. If you have a good book or some work to do, don't worry they have WiFi and everyone is usually pretty courteous on noise level. I almost always go for a chai, if I need a little pick me up I opt for a dirty chai with a few shots of expresso. If I am just relaxing, I absolutely LOVE the chai rooibos (which I still to this date do not know how to pronounce)! It is so sweet, smooth, and delicious with no caffeine! Then of course I check out which beers they have on tap and it's a small nice selecbut most often pair my coffee with rosé. I'm one of those girls that likes to have a water, hot drink, and hard drink in front of me ha. Truly the best place to wine, I mean wind, down. read more
Just when I thought I'd tried all of the better coffee shops in town, I stumbled in here. First impressions weren't exactly stellar, as the parking situation is a bit dodgy (as in inadequate) and I had to wait longer than the usual to order a latte and then to receive it. However, OMG -- such a *delicious* latte! So, I'm really only vouching for the espresso, but it is really, really flavorful. Also appreciate the for-here cups and such. I also tried a "paleo" chocolate chip cookie (the barista informed me it was personal favorite) and it was also delicious, if you care for that sort of thing. I was very impressed with the range of food selections...baked goods of all varieties, primarily. Frankly, the only negatives about this place accrue to its apparent popularity. It was *packed* on a random Friday morning, well before lunch and after the early morning rush. Worth the trip! read more

Wife found this place and wanted to check it out. The inside was amazing. Great decor for sure. Great atmosphere for sure. The menu had plenty of coffee and tea options. Also a great selection of pastries and cookies. I went with the mocha and a chocolate chip cookie while the wife chose an iced coconut chai and cinnamon roll. The cookie was good. The mocha was ok. Wife loved her chai. If I was to come back, I would try a different coffee drink since the mocha for me just didn't do it. Not bashing the mocha but it just didn't do it for me. read more

Love this place. Delicious coffee and tasty baked goods. I tried the Lavender Latte and Almond Maple Latte, both were great but the Lavender was better, as the Almond Maple was a bit too sweet. They had a nice selection of baked good, I got the Chocolate Bread Pudding. They hooked me up and gave me a big slice. Unless everyone is special and get's the hook up. Anyways, this was some great and perfectly soft pudding and made me happy. The atmosphere here is cool and I like the indoor and outdoor seating options. read more
Have been coming back here for about a week now. And as far as ambiance, definitely a nice place to wind down after a stressful week. The place has a great location and is not too loud if you're trying to finish that paper or focus on a particular task. They also have wifi if you're planning to enjoy more than just a cup or snack. Coffees and drinks are fairly priced and worth every sip! I love, love, love the Lavander latte. It has a hint of sweetness with a calming aroma and is just overall great to savor and enjoy. There are a few parking spots shared with a pizza place and other businesses, but other than that, street parking is also an option. Overall, I can't wait to explore the menu a little more. But the Lavander latte has definitely already become a favorite of mine! I enjoy Chai lattes and I think I will try that one next. Hopefully, it will also become one of my all time favorites whenever I come here. read more

This is a wonderful place to go to do work, talk with friends, & drink/eat! There were people knitting, doing homework, writing, and so much more. I got my drink and order pretty fast & the barista that was there was very helpful when I had a wifi connection issue. There's an equal amount of seating both inside and outside (some by the entrance & some when you exit the back of the shop). I got a breakfast panini that had the most incredible sauce (almost a spicy mayo/thousand island-esque sauce?) + a cold brew. They gave me my cold brew right after I placed my order & I only waited ~10min for my panini. I'm excited to come back again & bring some friends with me! read more
